The last few days have been Sleeping Beauty rubbing the sleep from her eyes. You are about to see the major awakening when financials come out in the next couple of days!!
What is the average PE for a stock in this particular sector of the market?
Sometimes I wonder if making the breakout board or some of the other boards is a good thing because of what it brings with it in terms of pumpers and bashers. I have seen stocks do quite well and actually rise more steadily without hitting some of these specialty boards. I can honestly say I have really enjoyed the pleasant discussion and informative dialogue here--I have learned a great deal over the last several months. I am afraid that everything is about to change as the financials come out and the mob discovers this jewel. Thank you Probart (mate), Lars, rjhstock, Jcon, bondoman, ahdioyoda, and all the rest. I assure you, I am not going anywhere --My son and I have all of our money invested here and plan on keeping it here for a long time to come--I just don't want to lose touch with you guys as the mob approaches in the next 48 hours or so. Our patience is about to pay off and I owe you guys a lot for the encouragement and insight along the way.
I have been a walking billboard for weeks--people are going to wish they had listened by the end of the week.
You know as well as I do that newbies to this board will look at that $1 figure you threw out and say that it is just wishful thinking. A deeper look into the financials and expansion would indicate that based on their growth and profits, we will be seeing $1 sooner than most people realize. With a low floater like this, you bypass a lot of rungs on the ladder to get to there.
Jcon, I think it is a question of who do you trust with your money after what happened last year with the market. I don't blame people for being hesitant--I don't think anyone came out unscathed--and no one wants a repeat performance. I tried to tell a fellow teacher about this stock the other day but he didn't want to listen after getting burned in the market last time--he said mutual funds are good enough for him-can't really blame him--all we can do is point the way and tell them to do their own dd and hopefully they will see the potential in this stock before it is too late--he just doesn't have time to do his own dd and has decided to cut his risk exposure. I am going to give it one more shot this week because what we are going to see later in the week(if the company keeps to their 22nd of the month reporting and hit their estimates) will be a stock increase that would take years for him to duplicate in his mutual fund. This thing is so undervalued, it is ridiculous!!
THE week is finally here!!! When they report on quarterly financials possible on Wed night or Thursday, let's say it comes in at 1.5 million revenue for the quarter(right in the middle of their estimates)--what kind of market cap should that give them considering just how low their market cap is right now. I know there is a correlation between pps and profits which we will also see this week, but I would have to think there is some connection between revenue and market cap considering that many companies do not make a profit but stock goes up on good revenue numbers.
Jcon, they have been very consistent the last couple of quarters with releasing numbers on the 22nd of the month so we very well may see something this Thursday. That seems to be the consensus if you go back through the messages on this board. A call to their headquarters could probably verify that.
As I was saying--didn't take much to push us back up again!! If I had access to and could make my own choices with my retirement account, it would be all in on this one--I may be crazy but after all the dd I have done--this is the real deal. I just transferred my son't self directed Roth into fter.
Low float--takes very little to move it up and down and I mean a 2000 share sell can do this to the stock. Nothing to be concerned about. There is no accounting for human nature--we are possibly less than a week away from next finacials and people are bailing???--many in pennies have very little patience--patience will be rewarded in this one however since it is not your typical penny.
Do not take my word for it though--do some dd and see what you come up with.
Count me in and I mean all in--thankful to be one of the 40 who discovered the stock before the big rise that is coming and now just counting down the days until our patience pays off. A penny with transparency, a low float, expansion, and an actual PE--who would have thought it.
I know we have talked a lot on this board about FTER's low PE as compared to other companies in this sector but I have another question. I noticed that someone mentioned WEQL and their big rise on Monday after financials came out. Their market cap is higher than their revenue for the year. Is there a solid connection between those 2 numbers or is this just an anomoly with this particular stock.
Added 30k more so far today--looking forward to April 22!!
You too Lars. This is the weekend that puts everything back in perspective!! And I for one, find it very easy to lose perspective.
Somebody is killing my open orders--I am losing my chance to get anything at under .1
I just got 10k at .09. Only a partial fill.
3 open orders in at the moment--each time I place an order(just under the ask) , the bid jumps a little more. I think I am starting to see a connection here, or am I? I am doing all I can to get up to 200k before April 22. I will probably have to slap the ask before the day is over.
Lars, For every study you bring up, I can bring up one that refutes it. Here is a quote from the CEO of A Better Tomorrow dated August 22, 2007.
In fact, a major study by the British Health Department this year found that even infrequent use of marijuana can increase the risk of developing a serious mental illness by 40 percent. The study, which was published in The Lancet, examined 35 other studies that tracked the short- and long-term effects of marijuana use on the mental health of tens of thousands of people.
“While it’s hard to dispute marijuana’s ability to relieve the pain of the terminally ill, we know from experience and from the latest research that its use often leads to nothing but irresponsible behavior and even mental illness for everyone else,” Anderson said, adding, “The best rule of thumb is to simply avoid marijuana and other illegal drugs at all cost, and to seek immediate treatment if you or a family member has developed an addiction to these illegal substances.”
Bottom line, Forterus is in business and making money because marijuana is so prevalent in California-2 of my 3 sons have had roomates that lost all motivation and got kicked out of school because they were high all of the time! Take it from a guy who has been a teacher and a high school coach for almost 30 years now--making it legal will only make it worse because I know that there are many kids who don't use the drug for one reason and one reason only -it is illegal. Legalize it, and we are in huge trouble as a society. And whether you want to believe it or not, it is an entry way drug into harder drugs for many. No different than riding that roller coaster at Disney. They always have to keep building bigger ones because the old ones don't give us the same thrill. I thank God for companies like this who are making a difference in people's lives--this is why I am an investor!!
I would say the answer is B--insanely low which is why I am all in. I know that goes against many investment advisors who say to be diversified with your portfolio but I can't find anything else at the moment that is this undervalued and has this much potential for future growth--it's nice to be in a stock with an honest and conservative CEO. I sleep well at night.
If the numbers fall within the boundaries of the guidance they sent out, and I have no reason to believe they will not based on the conservative nature of the management, we are going to see a major price increase in the shares of this company and maybe fter will finally get the recognition they deserve based on the way they have managed and expanded.
October 22, Jan 22, next one should be April 22.
Hey rjhstock--we've shown them their "pot of gold" today--and a fitting day to be doing that I might add!!
You can lead a horse to water......
Folks sitting on the sidelines may want to do a little math based on those numbers and the low float as to what this stock should really be selling for.
People are going to be chasing once financials come out on April 22 (by my calculations). We won't be celebrating "earth day" we will be celebrating "fter day"--all this based on company estimates which came out on Feb 25(see below).
But don't take my word for it--do a little of your own dd.
MURRIETA, Calif., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Forterus, Inc. (Pink Sheets:FTER.pk - News) today announced financial guidance for its first quarter 2010. The Company expects net revenue will be approximately $1,450,000 to $1,600,000. This compares to revenue of $914,543 for the same period in 2009.
Ventura County approved the Company's conditional use permit for its planned 22-bed facility. The Company shall begin the process to license the Ventura County facility with the State of California. This process is expected to take 6 to 8 months from the date the paperwork is submitted. The Company is forecasting that within 9 months the facility should be fully operating and accepting insurance clients.
Aren't the financials due out by now--I thought they would be out in mid February? That next quarterly report should send this pps up if it is anything like the last several.
Good point--
So based on the current o/s count and their current earnings, what is a realistic pps if it were to get bought out? And I did say realistic. It can't be .01--that would give them a market cap of 90 million dollars--is that realistic??
okay, I read the reply again and realize that maybe I am the one being touchy and defensive--I guess it depends on whether the emphasis was on "know". Forgive me if I misinterpreted. I think it is time that I stay off this board for a while since I seem quite good at putting my foot in my mouth!!
What is with all the touchiness on this board. I throw out a question and I am suddenly a pumper. I get excited for someone and their investing skills and it turns defensive. I was not trying to be patronizing with my statement. That was called encouragement, something we all can use but obviously some people are too busy dealing with a pride issue to tell the difference.
Well positioned for a major payday. Congrats!!
Hope you are right.
necessary--should have proofread it before submitting. I hate spelling mistakes!!
Not my intention at all but I can see now where it might look like that. I have a lot of confidence in this company and I for one don't believe any pumping is neciessary-lack of pumping is also one of the things that attracted me to this board-their numbers will speak for themselves without my help. I apologize to anyone who got the wrong idea about my message--I obviously went too far in trying to have a little fun--and really now that I think about it--it is none of my business anyway. Sorry all.
Okay math quiz (I can do that since I am a teacher). This quiz is for all who are long and holding strong out there--When this starts heading back up on next PR or finacial statement, how much will you make for each penny that this goes up from today?
Thank you for the kind offer Nabbbss. I will take you up on that when we get to $5.00 I will even pick up the tip. The rest will go to pay for all of the college loans that are piling up that I can not help my 4 kids with right now but will be able to @$5.00/share. If I can keep adding(which I plan on doing), I might be able to attend that dinner @$2.50/share. I'll need to break that 200k share mark first though.
Don't leave me out of those LT investors--I am in this thing for the long haul and based on the numbers they are consistently putting up each quarter, I may need a u-haul to get it all to the bank if I can continue to add--already over 100k!! My goal is much higher in the coming days--just have to keep adding before the next quarter financials come out.
Great post Lars. Too many want it all right now and when it doesn't go up 50% in one day or one week, they want to bail. It's a sign of our microwave times. You'all, you have to quit thinking of this as a typical pinky stock. This is the only "penny stock" I have ever owned(and I don't say this lightly) where I can sleep at night knowing that some horrific PR is not going to come out tomorrow morning sending this thing into a tail spin. Believe me, I have invested in far too many pennies that I regreted as soon as I hit the "buy" button knowing that it was a total gamble and/or that I was going to have some major explaining to do to my wife as to why I bought something so speculative. My wife is actually excited about this one not only for the upside potential but also for what it is doing to help society. Don't get me wrong--I do appreciate the tough questions--I asked a lot of them on another board and was accused of bashing--I am big into dd and if people do their own on this one--they will like what they see and they will sleep well at night!!
"But don't take my word for it"--Lavor Burton "Reading Rainbow"
When is Thurs. PR concerning financial guidance for 1st quarter going to show up on this board like it has on Yahoo board?? Great numbers but no one will see it if it is not posted here.

Additionally, the Company raised $110,000 through the issuance of 1,692,308 of its common stock. "This transaction further strengthens our financial position in support of the expansion of our core business," said Paul Howarth, CEO of Forterus. "It provides Forterus with additional capital needed to further our expansion plans in San Diego and Ventura County. We're pleased to have completed this round of financing and we'd like to thank our new and existing investors. The fact that we were able to secure funding in today's challenging financial environment reflects our investors' belief in Forterus and the exciting sales growth prospects for the Company."
Why are Fter's new PR's so slow to show up on ihub? It has been showing up all day on Yahoo but nothing so far here. Many people may have missed the PR on finacial guidance for the 1st quarter today which may explain why the stock did not move much today when a press release like that should have caused a little more of a stir in the pps. I know a press release like today's is a bit speculative but based on the conservative nature of management, I would definitely put money on these numbers and have!! Not so much concerned that the stock price is going to go up but rather why pr's don't show up on these boards the same day they come out.
And I for one am looking forward to that continued growth. Today I put my money where my mouth is by finally making it over the 100k threshold. It has taken some time but I finally got there!! And I have no plans to let go of any of those shares--this very well may be the money I ultimately use to pay off college loans for my 4 kids--3 are in right now and another one the year after next.
