Evan, start doing what you can to get things right again with shareholders. We are reasonable people who have families and mouths to feed. This is not the path you want to take. We are here and will listen to solutions you may have to fix this situation. Things of this nature tend to end poorly for all parties involved and the easiest way to make amends is to openly communicate with us.
Let's wake the giant and get this thing moving! We've given them long enough to make amends. We brought them down once and can do it again! My group and I are in!
Well guys, I'm sorry things ended up like this. I want to tell you all that I appreciate the efforts you have made in your own unique ways. Your comments made through this board helped all of us re-examine our beliefs/positions on Inca throughout its 5+ year history. There's only a handful of us "old-time" investors that were here in the early days and I want you to know that I am glad to have chatted/argued/slammed/agreed with you all these years.
I am sorry that I couldn't have done more to help all of you. Looking back now (20/20 hindsight), we should have banded together and pushed harder for some sort of buyout. These things will always happen when the management of a company are not held accountable by their shareholders and when poor communication exists. I hope our luck changes in the future with other stocks and I'll make sure to never invest in another company if any of you are already invested!! :) Best of luck and best wishes my friends!!
J. Zucker
This definitely wasn't a "get rich quick" stock, but for me has been a "get poor quick" one!
Remember when they pulled the whole Bernie Madoff pity party thing on us to get our sympathy? Totally hypocritical to turn around and do the same thing to their own shareholders! All's I know is that I saw our CEO in more photos at cocktail parties and dance clubs than PR's or audited financials! There's something wrong with that.
They already made that mistake once to not take us seriously. All's it would take is for one of them to get on this board and explain what is going on. They can still stop all of this madness. Otherwise, they better lawyer up because we'll make their life as miserable as they have made ours. Talk about a merry christmas! What class!
They could have taken care of this on day one or offered a press release if they had any intention of reviving their company. But where are they?
I agree. We'll see one way or the other what their intent has been this whole time.
Gary, just take a seat on this one buddy. No one can say you didn't try, but you at least want some credibility when it comes to other boards.
No one is calling you a negative Nancy anymore. Just blows my mind that people can laugh about this and think there is humor to be found. It goes to show you how little money they actually have invested here.
I think they'll be fine cg. They have more money than you and I make combined in 20 years. This is a drop in the bucket for them. Does it make sense for them to let this die? No. Have they proven themselves to be logical managers of Inca up to this point? No.
Leave it to us to invest in a company with an initial scammer CEO (Stephanie) only to be replaced by another scammer in Stacy. What luck!!!
They don't even have the decency to come on this board and explain to us what is happening. Total lack of honor.
No reason to keep defending these people. I told them a long time ago to treat us like real people and they refused. I told Evan & Stacy not to make enemies of us because we were their biggest supporters. Seems like they didn't care or didn't believe us. They have been looking to get rid of us for a long time and this provides them with a legitimate reason to show in court that they "tried."
I don't have the heart to even say "I told you so" because so many good and decent people have lost so much money in this thing. What a sad day for all of us. The rich walk away rich and once again its us little guys that get burned.
Time for some people on this board to man up
I actually told the grandkids this year to just all pitch in and get me a new pair of running shoes instead of spending their money on crazy expensive gifts I'll never use. Saucony or Mizuno is what I told'em!
James, not sure if you are reading my posts. The issue is that these sites are only carrying one or two of our products. Even if they all sell out at full price, Inca will not make money selling only one suit style. As a side note I mentioned that $20 clearence suits surely do not help. But I am happy for you that you were able to score a deal on your running shoes!
I was lamenting the fact that every site only carries one or two of our products and that our little company can ill-afford to stay alive long if we can only sell $20 suits! Common sense or not, that's not an encouraging recipe for success.
RL can afford to sell their product at cost/discount because of their enormous product line and distribution. We don't have that luxury.
I wish these retailers carried more of our line. Every site we click on only has one or two styles max. I'm pretty disappointed to find our SI swimsuit selling for $20 now on EBW. That's a huge markdown.
Maybe it would take into account "future value" and initially keep Stacy on as the visionary? There might be a few scenarios where $50 million might work. But you have to admit that that much money would be chump change to a larger behemoth like RL looking to expand their market.
I've always said that $0.05 would be a great buyout offer, IMO. I used to have ideas of a higher figure, but at this point I think we would all be willing to compromise!
This was from way back in June! How did this get missed by the company/us? Oprah is bigger than any magizine out there, including SI (which I'm sick of talking about). This should have been mentioned somewhere as everything this lady touches turns to gold!
Be nice now
We were already in SI and it did next to nothing for us. What would being in it again do for us? Perhaps pay for a few more cocktail parties and private ventures.
How about management at Inca? They are just going about it in a different way! "No one in their right mind who invested that kind of money would work to destroy their own investment."
"Just putting numbers in a post doesn't make it true. "
Right again! Just like pictures in magazines or saying in a PR that the phones were ringing off the hook with order requests! Where's the proof?
Real company with real product with real sales!!
Nobody here has done any real buying for a long time. Otherwise we wouldn't be at these low levels.
So much for a "rally." Just someone probably picking up some cheapies to flip.
So in other words, you could not advise them to buy Inca now? You would essentially stay neutral?
Not a sarcastic or mean question. I really am sincere about this. Right now at this point in time, if one of your family members or close friends came to you and said they wanted to invest $5,000 in Inca,(let's say they want to start a college fund or something that will continue to grow into the future) would you discourage them or agree with them?
As long as you never need to buy parts for that Chevy! :)
Paulmcmu: "So what your saying is that every scam artist, and snake oil salesman are not at fault in the markets, it's the investors who put money in those stocks are the fools"
Owg: "Yep, pretty much"
Madoff is the epitomy of a scam artist and a snake oil salesman! Paulmcmu never said anything in his statement about "pink sheets." But you did agree with his statement. Very laughable! Why in the world do we have an SEC then since apparently companies can do no wrong? And you say that there has been "NO communication from the company." That is also not true. They did begin to communicate with us for over a year and then suddenly stopped. That has changed. Yes we invested in Inca, but many did so because of the PR's and statements the company made (and I'm not talking about the ones made through gary or this board). There is a responsibility of the company to its shareholders as well. You really do sound an aweful lot like Evan owg. If you don't care enough about your money to fight for it then fine by me. I worked too hard for my money to see it go down like this.
I can't believe you would say that and take such an extreme position. If what you say is true, then Bernie Madoff was not at fault but the "fools" who invested their hard-earned money with him like Jewish charities, churches, and pensions? Off the mark there owg.
I hope we ultimately get to find out how many shares there are to $0.01.
Shows the kind of wall (or walls) we have in front of us. There was a time when we could all honestly say that this thing was "set to run." Not anymore. High millions of shares to chew through just to get back close to Mr. Lincoln. We are set for a slow walk with plenty of rest breaks along the way (like everytime I try to jog on these old bones!)
Right. What would we do without gary keeping us informed of things that have not/will not happen with the company!? "Real product, real sales, and real company" is "really informing."
All's I'm saying gary is that no one is making you set ridiculous timelines for this company! If you hate people ragging on you then don't make timetables! There is no difference in that sky guy making end of the world claims and you making all of these eminent surge claims. We call him out on his crap so don't be offended just because the same principle is applied to you. I got called out by everyone when I broadcasted Evan's plans that he sent me in an email that never came true.
Just saying man, no need to stick your neck out for these guys. They aren't like the rest of us middle class people now matter how hard they may pretend to be. They live in a totally different world!
Then don't say "very soon"!!! Very soon does not mean months or years!! So don't use it!
It's obvious that Gary was not that impressed with what he saw. "They are a real company with real sales and a real product" is what Evan has always sends in his emails! There's nothing new here. I would be disappointed if she didn't have fabrics and swimsuits in her showroom. I'm not sure how that warrants saying something will happen "very soon"!
I am afraid that this is what Etrade is looking at to be the final deciding factor to whether they pull IDGI as a tradeable stock. I was just thinking why they would have them on review and what they would be waiting for, but this could be it in their eyes. I hope not.
I just called Etrade to check with them about Inca and the person I spoke to said they had it on their "Evaluation List" to pull it from being a stock that they will allow to be traded. He would not tell me why it was under evaluation or how long it will remain so, but said it has been under review for the past four months and typically resulted from a lack of public findings or activities that Etrade considers to be an "adverse risk." I asked him if Etrade places all penny stocks or pink sheets in this category and he told me "no, only the ones that Etrade considers to be an adverse risk to our clients." But I couldn't get him to speak specifically about why Inca. Not sure what this means for us as investors but I don't like it.
I just don't know how an argument could be made for Stacy truely caring about us. At this point with a declining stock price and obvious frustration they may say they care about us, but to me actions are more important. How can they bad mouth Stephanie for poor management? At least she regularly communicated with us!
Then it is there that you and I disagree because management does have a responsibility to report to shareholders. I have always believed it (as does Wall Street) and always will. Plus, I don't have to meet Stacy and Evan to know that they are not decent people. Their actions speak louder than their words.
All of this is just plain horrible. It makes me sick to think of the money we invested in this. There is no winner in all of this. They get delisted and we lose our money. I think they feel like if the SEC delists them then they can say,"Well, we tried our best and it wasn't our fault." I just can't believe that it has come down to this when all that it would have taken was some kind of investor conference call or update. Just sickening
We wouldn't even be having this conversation if they regularly communicated with us through professional and conventional means. The fact that we have to analyze writing styles and consult Ouija boards to know if our CEO is communicating with us is beyond me.
I too filed a complaint against this company with the SEC and have received three follow-up phone calls from them. They appear to be building a case as each subsequent phone call has been more specific and about issues that I did not initially mention to them in my email (I assume it is from other investors here). I am aware that this is "hurting my investment," as some call it. However, I believe that the company is not being run in an honest or ethical manner. You can't continue to piss on the peasants and expect their support and loyalty to last forever.
