Becker is a moron, the Rental department is the highest grossing department in the store. not to mention all the merchandise is paid for. it's all profit. He's wanted to shut down retal for a long time and now is his chance. he doesn't talke to customers because nobody wants to talk to him. we all know that he is a joke and can't be trusted.

Wisebuys stores are gone, they've been gone since scozzafava bought hacketts. they are not going to open up a failed store. They are not going to open up period. Say goodbye to hacketts.

This hasn't hit the news yet, but I assure you they are working on it. You can back up my story by calling the ogdensburg journal at 315-393-1000. They won't give you any information on it but they will assure you that they are looking into it.

Canton wasn't and never will be a seasonal store. It was always open year round. It was basically just a smaller version of the Ogdensburg store. Expect the Massena store to close as well. I live in Ogdensburg, you drive by the store at any given moment and there might be anywhere from 2 to 5 cars in the parking lot. When the Hackett family owned it, the employees would have to user people out the door at closing time. It was always busy and always a great place to shop. Tom and Becker ruined it. A 180 year old company will be gone. From what I've heard, the Canton location is up for sale and they intend to use the money from that sale to pay off some debt.

The Ogdensburg Hacketts store will be closing its doors this weekend. Just thought I would let you know.

I aske someone at the store yesterday, they said that about 10 people showed up. People were pretty much laughing at him.

I forgot about that. I shoul have stopped by the store to see if there was any sort of turnout. I'm sure that I can find out though. I will post when I do.

I am so sick of seeing this. Does anybody get that the only reason they exceeded December of 09 is because they had a "LIQUIDATION" sale. They were practically giving product away. up to 70% off. It's no shock that Hacketts did more in Jauary then they did in December. They barely had anything in the store for the Christmas season.

He is also responsible for developing that show on Fox where they have a masked magician that shows how they do all those tricks. He has made millions out of screwing over people that he knows. He can not be trusted. Not to mention he has two business degrees that he bought at a diploma mill in Belguim. They guy is a phony. IMO.

Did someone finally figure out that Sambo is Becker and ban him? That's classic. It all adds up. Nobody and I mean nobody likes this becker schmuck. Yet he is Sambo's hero. I won't miss his posts, that is for sure.

The difference is in the workding of the PR. He makes it sound like the company is doing so well and making all this money because customers are flooding back into the store and buying all these big ticket items. That is just not the case I'm afraid. I believe that this is Hacketts last ditch effort to stay open. If this big push that Becker is doing doesn't work, he won't get another chance.

Do you only read what you write and nothing else? Hacketts January sales were due to a huge LIQUIDATION SALE!!!! DID YOU HEAR THAT? A LIQUIDATION SALE. They were blowing out all of thier hardlines products from 40 to 70 percent off. It was a huge sale to generate capitol so they could buy merchadise without credit.

Decembers sales were dismal because they had nothing to sell.

But since you were part of the coffee club, then you would know how easy it is to find any of the information that I spoke about on here. The employees are very forthcoming and were told to be so. Ask any one of them, they won't lie to you.

Ok, here is the story about how I got that info. It's very intriging so pay close attention.

I was in the store shopping for paint. I saw Dede at the front desk and asked an employee(whom will remain nameless)why she was there. This employee told me that the Hacketts and the Scozzafavas were about to have a meeting.

Pretty great story isn't it?

To be honest, I don't care if you believe me, it's the truth whether you like it or not.

This is the only stock that I post in because it's the only one that I care about. I don't play the stock market and I have never bought any hacketts stock. I was told of this message board quite some time ago when all the law suits were getting filed and the news started hitting the papers. I've been following it ever since.

One thing you have to understand, is that if you are not from Ogd, you truely won't have any idea about the dynamic of this town. Nothing stays a secret for long around here. It's very small and the good people of this town have nothing better to do then to delve into other peopls lives and spread stories and rumors around the gin mills.

Look, I've been keeping up with this stuff since it first hit the news. I don't want to see Hacketts fail at all. There are many good people that work there and rely on the place staying open.

I have mentioned before that I do know many people that work there and if asked, they are very forthcoming about the state of the company.

Sorry, no I am not, nor have I ever been an employee for Hacketts. I do however know several people that do work there, including Brian. for what it's worth, Brian was not fired for theft, he was laid off.

Unfortunately, I think Hacketts, is going to fold like a cheap suit. Under the current management(Becker). This is his last shot to turn this company around and it's not working.

Many of you will say, "look at thier January numbers" Well if you knew anything at all, you would know that the only reason those numbers are like that is because of liquidation sale that had. They were giving product away. The hardlines side of the store was almost completely on sale. 40 to 70 percent off. People in Ogdensburg don't miss opportunities to pick through the bargin bins. The second half a January was dismal at best for them. Febuary is showing the same trend in falling sales figures.

You can't dupe the people of Ogdensburg, they just won't fall for it. Hacketts has burned far to many bridges to fix it all and no one trusts them to have to products that they need.

Point Zero! Seriously, it's over priced garbage that nobody wears around here. Becker had to run it at 50% off just to sell a few pieces. He doesn't get it. He's not in Montreal anymore, the kids around here are not club rats. Ogdensburg is working class, low income. Not Montreal or Florida high society.

Thier senior buyer, Jim Brown, couldn't buy a candy bar without screwing it up. Yet they let him call the shots on new products coming into the stores.

Trust me, Becker is sweating it, and no matter what juicy PR he puts out, it and he is failing.

The people of Ogdensburg, want the Hackett family to take control back, if and only if this happens will you see this company turn around and have it's old faithful customers back in the store. Becker is a joke in this town and the citizens of Ogdensburg do not want him here. Perhaps with the exception of his rabbi.

I would like to see a link to the quote in the OP. Take my word on this. Pat has nothing to do with payments to anybody. He is not the spokesman for this company anymore. He is a paid employee just like everyone else, right down to the part time cashiers.

It's no secret in Ogdensburg how things are really going in that store. Insider? Maybe, maybe not. I'll never tell, however, it's pretty easy to get whatever info I need about Hacketts. I have many friends. Ask a question, I can probably get you an answer pretty quickly.

You may not like Julie and that's fine, but I do know her and she is a wonderful person and she was 150 percent committed to the success of Hacketts. She gave up her life for that store. Right now, Tom is rubbing his hands together trying to figure out the best way to take every last penny from every new investor. Believe that!

I went to the store in ogdensburg today to have a look around and see what's new after i read that article on the new clothing line and the old ones coming back. First, there are two racks, half full if that of north face fleece coats, i'd hardly say that that is a good showing. granted, it is good that they did get some in. something is better than nothing. I couldn't even find the woolrich stuff. This new point zero stuff is rubbish. it looks like teeny bopper clothing. nobody in ogdnesburg wears this stuff and at the prices they are asking, i'd hardly say that they are reasonable. one coat that i saw was 200 dollars and it looked like something from walmart. Some of the point zero stuff was decent looking but still way over priced. I've lived in this area all my life and there is no way that this stuff is going to fly off the shelves. If the ogdensburg store has a better sampling of north face and woolrich, i'd hate to see what the other stores have because the ogdensburg store has hardly any thing.

I'd be willing to bet that Tom is holding off on BK until after the elections in november so he can keep Dede and the Scozzafava family in a little better light.

Well one reason that Tom didn't pay any other bills, other than the fact that he had no intention was that WF basically took control of every penny that came into hacketts. They only gave the stores enough to pay payroll and keep the doors open. In fact, one time they were not going to give them enough to pay the payroll unitl Julie Cliff stepped in and made Tom do something about it.

What's so great about it? All I see is another epic fail and in time another empty building in Ogdensburg. All this acution stuff is another attempt to make as much money as possible for Tom before the doors close. I honestly hope all of this nonsense ends soon. Close the damn doors so the Hacketts family get get it back and build it back up to a successful Ogdensburg business.

Funny how nobody mentioned that another staple of Ogdensburg business is closing inside the Hacketts doors. That would be Hewletts Jewelers. I'd be willing to bet the former owner, Mrs Cunningham was never paid for it.

Haha, I was at the store today, The scooters are old, used from when they had the motorcycle shop. They have snowblowers right in front. It's august, lol.
