The thing I don't get about penny stocks is that the frequency of press releases seems to be inversely correlated to the viability of the company. For example, SFMI can be counted on to announce the slightest little tiny details; ie. Pierre will be getting a filling from his dentist next Tuesday; versus a company like NSFDF that apparently has no one doing investor relations at all, yet will probably end up getting sold to a giant engineering firm at a huge premium.
WTH
Capn, my "interest" is very similar to how folks will slow down to see a car wreck. ;) I find it fascinating to see the back and forth about this stock, and I can't seem to look away.
Imp, as I've said repeatedly over the last year -- if I am wrong, and this doesn't come crashing down around your heads (or rather, the company doesn't go BK and starts making money or whatever) I will be among the first to admit my error and congratulate you all.
As I have ALSO said, repeatedly, I have absolutely no interest, pro or con, in this company, whatsoever. None. I've never bought the stock, I wouldn't know how to short it, and I have no relation to anyone else who trades this stock. I have NO financial interest here, at all, and have received nothing from anyone other than grief for posting my opinions on this stock.
Just to say it once again, before Carmine starts calling me a paid basher.
I am not comfortable with the term basher. I only tried to point out some of the weaknesses of this company, in the face of the massive flood of folks who have been lauding it's wonderfulness for what, a year or two?
An Idaho working, run from Florida, by a guy who ventured from semi-pro soccer or something into Chinese electric autos into gold mining of all things, who is of retirement age, hiring his son to run the AV after running afoul of the law (allegedly) in Canada, with massive lease debts and royalty obligations to another company wholly owned by him (I think), what can I say, it gives me pause.
OK, I guess you could call that bashing. I'm just a doubting Thomas, is all. ;)
Happy New Year to all, and best of luck in your stock picks.
Found a website for this company:

"We are currently trying to raise capital through a private offering of preferred stock. Our ability to continue as a going concern is dependent on the success of this plan."
Uh huh.
Well, I'm sorry to see you go. I just got back to the boards, and read with interest what you had to say. Some of it mirrors what I've been saying all along.
The folks here mostly just want to hear how rich they are going to get off their stock holdings in SFMI, and ignore every warning sign that all is not well. Note that I said MOSTLY, there are a number of folks who are interested in learning about what's really going on, even if they are boosters of the company, and I salute them.
I also (even though I haven't posted in a long time) will no longer post on this board; as I've said repeatedly, I have absolutely no financial interest in this stock, never had, never will, and mostly just hung out to see what happens and what goofy BS would be put up next.
No volume to speak of. Are they doing anything to get the story out?
Thanks for the info. Heard about company from a friend; nice to see a small stock with actual revenue and such ;)
OK, fine. I'm long Cemex, nsfdf.ob, and LDK, if you want to know. I'm not too happy about LDK, but I've doubled my money on cemex in the last what, 8 months, so that was nice.
As I've stated here before, I like to watch this board for purely entertainment purposes.
I suspect that this stock isn't going to end well for it's holders, and although I'm pretty sure that when the end comes this board and all the records of folks pumping it will disappear it's still fun to read the techniques that folks use (some are very very good, others rather silly) to get folks on board.
/shrug.
So the deal on the used double-wide went through? Yay
Whazzoo, you having a bad day or something?
My apologies then; my intarweb must have hiccupped (
No fair, we all want to laugh along -- who deleted a message? What did it say?

lol lol lol lol
Unfortunately, the tuition to the Colorado School of Mines is probably more than $83.00 (
Perhaps we can all pitch in and send him a copy of "Gold Mining for Dummies" and ship it to Florida?
Come on, downside; Pierre's only in his early 70s -- he's got plenty of time left to learn all about how to start up and run a successful mining operation.
No worries.
Must be the same guy, otherwise someone would deny it, I should think. Guess it doesn't matter; presumably CQ paid his debt to society and is playing straight now. Just funny that they would make a big deal about adding an audio-visual guy to the team, since as far as I know, running projectors has nothing to do with processing tailings. The only possible reason I can think of is that he's gonna set up the web-cam, if he can manage to get down to Idaho sometime
Anyone know why Pierre would have to file this if the stock isn't publicly traded?

Notice that it lists SFMI as owning 500k shares of GoldCorp Holding. Interesting.
So anyone following this stock? They have what I think is an interesting story but I want to learn more.
Say, did anyone ever find anything else out about the new Director of Audio Visual, Christian Q?

Fun stuff. You guys crack me up.
Say, anyone know if they've sold enough stock to pay off Gold Corp yet? Just curious.
Wow. Well good luck, fellas.
Well I'm of mixed feelings; I'm glad for the folks who are seeing some potential return, but I feel bad for the folks buying in.
Someday, the music will stop and there will be one less chair to sit in... try to make sure it's not you that can't sit down.
Good timing for PQ and CQ :)
Probably as soon as they can buy the plane ticket to send the AV guy down there to hook her up
With all this new and amazing talent on the board, isn't it time they put out a PowerPoint or some other fancy AV kinda thing?
I hope there are more than one Christian Quilliams around ...
http://www.competitionbureau.gc.ca/eic/site/cb-bc.nsf/eng/00508.html
Say, is this the same Christian Quilliam? Just getting started on our newest member of management but what the heck -- if it isn't him, then great.

At least they have the audio-visual dude going for them.
Well, that does it. I'm DEFINITELY going to buy the crap out of THIS stock, now that I know that there's an AV expert on the team.
Good grief. What a joke.
"If you don't trust them, sell and move on. Simple stuff really." OR stick around and be endlessly entertained.
Not allowed to heckle the special olympics (and that would be in horrible taste regardless), but here it's fair game.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing about the Goldcorp liabilities. ;)
A good opportunity to what, give some trader or Pierre some of my money? Thanks, I'll pass.
After a recent experience (LDK) I am trying as hard as I can to avoid trying to catch falling knives. ;)
Hmmm lemme think... nah
No, not at all. Frankly, I don't know what to think -- but I AM happy that they are reporting publicly now; I think that's a great step.
I do hope that folks buying this stock will read the report; all I've ever asked for was some standard information to be disclosed by the company. They've done that; once folks have a chance to look it over, they can make a rational decision on whether to buy the company.
I do think it's amazing that they can pay the phone bills with more stock; that's awesome -- renting their New York offices for three years issuing stock was clever (well, on PQ's part anyhow) ...
Again and finally, I'm a happy camper to see the report. It's gonna take a bit to read it all through, but that's life ;)
Good luck, SFMI people. I mean it, I really do.
"Our balance sheet as of June 30, 2009 reflects cash of $83, current assets of $176,378, current liabilities of $1,249,092, and a working capital deficit of ($1,072,714).
At this time, we have no revenues. We do not expect to begin generating revenues until we commence actual mining operations, which is not expected to occur until October 2009. Until we begin receiving revenues from mining operations, we are dependent on the deferral of salaries by our management, and loans from our officers and a significant shareholder to pay other administrative expenses. We plan to continue raising capital through the issuance of convertible notes, and we believe we have sufficient interest from investors to raise the capital we need to commence operations. We also plan to continue funding our development by issuing shares to acquire services that we need to commence operations."
So expect more dilution. Pierre better hope the price rises right quick, so he can raise the estimated 1.5 million they still need to open the mill.
