James Briscoe also had input into Northern Dynasty with the Pebble Project. He sold on other claims some years back. I am sure he is right about Hay Mountain, and probably gives some benefits of his knowledge too.
Brilliant geologist, but never got much done in the way of opening up a route to drill Hay Mountain
I know the pre-market can be misleading, but I expect SILJ to explode upwards when we open.
I think we could reach $50-60 if silver reaches that sort of price
Why is GLDLF rising so much? Is it the streaming move, or it that their assets had been undervalued with the market realising this? Could the whole company fall to a takeover bid, or does Amir hold on too tightly?
This has got a rocket up it today again
Thanks otclife, they are interesting, very much outperforming at the moment. Mr Adnani is a smart cookie, he seems to have bought a good many gold and silver rich properties at distressed prices, and maybe the market is finally waking up to this!
GoldMining is probably my top pick of US mining related shares, if gold and silver take off I can see $5 and even more. The upward move has barely started and the price has been depressed for a long 3 years
Why should there be a reverse split, this is totally unnecessary?!
Ok I can take your point on the constant creation of extra shares which have kept the lights on for LBSR. I think the biggest issue is how little they have got done in terms of proving the resources at Hay Mountain. I am hoping they will get funding and start drilling. I was impressed by the AK results some years back and the hole in one. Certainly Jim Briscoe seems to have expertise and vision, but maybe someone else is better at getting things done!
Exactly what? It’s not especially a big deal and LBSR is finally on an upward trend!
I agree Harry whatever outcome this drop is crazily overdone, I think we will recover very strongly next week
Thanks TC23; I think it’s going to bounce back!
Why has UEC dropped nearly 20% today, cannot find any news?
Looking good, huge volume over 15m!
Why did this rapid almost 10% rise come out of seemingly nothing, I can't especially see any reason (?Sprott building a stake perhaps)
Nak seems to do the opposite of what you would expect. No reason to rise yesterday and it did, every reason with the DEIS report today yet it falls well back! It’s really unpredictable!
With the DEIS report out and overwhelmingly positive it seems the time has come for NAK to be related. Sentiment towards mining stocks at last seems to be improving and mining stocks are priced low compared to the price of commodities they extract.
This could fly as sentiment improves to pm and exploration stocks
It's about time, the sector has been bombed out for years and the valuations look low, indeed compelling. Quite often the first 3-4 months of the year seem to be strong for metals, maybe it could be a repeat of the year 2016 but this time the valuations holding better, rather than slipping back. My favourites are Keith Neumeyer's FFMGF and Amir Adnani's GLDLF they both have a number of promising developable projects
I recall they did I think in 2013 or around then. I believe it is the CEO James Briscoe of Liberty Star who was quite instrumental in guiding NAK to the Pebble discovery. Interestingly surroundings to Pebble owned previously by LBSR show just as promising ZTEM images as Pebble itself and are further from Salmon streams so could be more environmentally friendly. I don’t know if NAK have any exploration plans within the Pebble Caldera because theoretically the assets could be even larger still!!!
LBSR has frustrated me they seem to be concentrating on Hay Mountain in AZ but nothing much seems to have been done so far. This hopefully will change, they are very lowly capitalised and could surely very well if they could drill and prove substantial assets.
Really agree l am so disappointed yet the share price Behavior is illogical because they are getting further funding and the risk is much less because of First Quantum’s participation. There may also be other suitors around
It,s impossible to short bitcoin. When bitcoin futures come into being later this month we will see bitcoin reverse IMHO
Seems like it. If Uranium prices firm up then UEC should take off. Amir Adnani did similar 1-2 years back with Brazil Resources by snapping up undervalued assets but it just takes patience waiting for the market to change
Why is GLDLF flying today on weak Gold prices?
I know and I am long but very disappointed by the absence of a rally on friday could go
As low as $1.50 imho
January Volume. OK thanks I am long in Skyharbour and also Uranium Energy Corp They are speculative but the signs look good and interest is picking up
What huge buys, the volume is minuscule,
Not even 300k shares changed hands?
Volume is looking good, the first half hour similar to a typical days trading volume
LibertyStar's Big Chunk Claims !!
I have a sense Liberty Star will retake these claims when they see
Pebble progressing. Liberty Star have been frustrating in their
inability to get finance and get any exploratory drilling done,
especially when considered how successful they were in AK. They
drilled one hole and paid their debt to NAK!
Apparantly the claims they sold are similar to Pebble but in a less
polluting position as they are further from salmon runs etc.
It might make sense for NAK to buy LBSR and then they would get all
the claims surrounding Pebble and Hay mountain in AZ too!
What Will Improve The Prospects Here?
I have been in LBSR since fall 2010 and it has been continually disappointing, but would love there to be an intelligent discussion
of prospects and failings of the stock
I feel JB just needs a partner who would help him get things done in
terms of drilling potential assets like Hay Mountain, as he did in Big Chunk and encouragingly helped LBSR to become debt-free. Since then everything has stalled, and it has only been dilution to keep the company afloat
Partners could be organisations like Hunter-Dickinson, or an individual like Amir Adnani or Keith Neumeyer taking a large stake. At this current price and market cap it would be quite possible. Maybe even Northern Dynasty could take a stake and the comnpanies could work together in both Hay Mountain (which should be easier to develope) and AK
I have not looked too closely at this, but I would imagine Amir Adnani has his eye on acculmulating some Uranium properties now while the price is still really depressed.
He did this with Brazil Resources (now Goldmining Inc) and it paid off handsomely in the Gold bull market of early 2016. Thus, if the strategy is the same of acculmulating undervalued assets while the Uranium Price remains depressed at a 10-12 year low, I think it could be good news though
it has caused UEC to drop today
