I have called Calypte on several occasions starting back when I bought the stock in JAN 2006. I have only spoken to a real person when I called into a teleconference. Presumably, she was a phone company employee who was tasked to manage that particular call.
This was one of my first purchases, no one to blame. DD was limited to SEC filings, company news releases, and commentary from outside sources. I have watched with amazement as the claims made by the company officers fail to deliver even modestly what they promised. What I have seen summarized: some (benefit of doubt here) valid research, a whole lot of international marketing and capital raising, an effort put toward a production facility, that was(I was under the impression) owned by Marr and Calypte. Now it appears that they have lost control of that facility and the intellectual propoerty that was their financial lifeline (and the reason I hold this stock). They have also tried (and failed on this last attempt, thankfully) to print their own money-stock certificates.
Complete ineptitude, not sure how any discussion of "bonuses" can be taken seriously.
I fully expect to lose my shirt on this one, not because of commentary posted on blog sites, but due to the poor management by a string of overpaid business folks. Shame on me? Sure, but again I question the ability to do Due Diligence when the company deceives you in their SEC filings, financial statements, and press releases. I would like to see charges here, but have no dilusions that will come to pass.
