All wrongdoing will be pinned on the FDIC and JPM will come away clean imo.
It wasn't $12 per share, but it was unrealized green that is now real green.
"not top dollar but not not bad at all and just lets you buy all the more later as this comes down more"
That's right bud, and thanks.
imo it is always better to get out completely if you think what you're in is going to drop. I made money, but even if you were in at .12 and you thought it was going to drop, then you should sell it all.
If you were in at .12 and stay in and it drops to .09, then you're trapped.
If you were in at .12 and sold at .12, then you have cash and you saved yourself 25 % of your position.
If you had $10,000 in or 83,333 shares and sold at even and it dropts to .09, you could buy 111,111 shares which is an increase of position by 27,778 shares.
Averaging down is stupid imo. Getting out is smart imo.
I'm not saying this will go to .09, but #s don't lie.
I don't care what people say about me. Just keep "averaging down", and I'll keep doing what I'm doing, but I'm definitely done telling the board what I'm thinking about strategy and what I find in my research. They can all keep telling each other that a deal "must be getting done" and that the FDIC is about to pay WMI without delay, and they'll see where that gets them. They can go listen to bopfan who tells people to buy the Ps and blah blah blah, when in reality today was the day to sell them when the bid was at $27 + .
Good point, and you wanna know what, if you think it's good for 2.50 - 3.00, then that's good enough for me. Seriously. i'm gettin' after I watch the action for a little .
Thanks bud!
This is only the beginning imo. That's what a fly told me.
Plus I said to consider selling into the bid when it was at 27. You wouldn't have been able to sell your shares for 25 at the end of the day.
What should people have done, buy in at 28.50 ?
$1,592,000,000.00 in cash reserved for future use at the end of 2008, so at first glance it looks like they should be able to weather any fallout from a GM filing and other auto troubles, only 77.5M shares outstanding, 68.83% institutional ownership, but their balance sheet doesn't look super hot (atleast not the #s from the end of 2008).
BS shows current assets of $3,674,000,000.00 and current liabilities of $4,610,000,000.00 , which isn't exactly what I like to see, and their total assets to liabilities are a little to close for my comfort, especially considering that 3.6 billion of their non-current assets are in property, plant, equipment, and net goodwill.
I know you will get in and out quickly, but if GM announces that they are filing, imo stocks like these are going to get crushed pretty good.
I tried tellin' ya.
It's gonna go lower and a deal is not done. That's what a fly told me.
NP, so did I at exactly .125 .
Nice job buddy!!!!!!
What a hell of a run!
I take it you hit your target.
Now let's see a pullback that is just as violent as that run-up we just had.
JASO
Looks like it's gonna test $4 pretty soon.
Hopin' for a pullback to around 3.40-3.50 in AH.
Oh how nice it would be to be able to hit all the highs and all the lows, but I'm happy with the 28 hour purchase and sale.
Just dumped my last chunk at 3.90, so now it will probably run to $5 +
I left myself 1 share so I keep getting the news in my portfolio.
Come on baby, pullback in AH.
Just sold most of my position, so now it will probably shoot up to $5.
I'll be buying more if it dips, which I hope it does in AH today.
That was fun!
Nice. Still holding here, but if I were you, I'd watch for another re-entry point and get back in.
Nice work. I'm holding, but nothing wrong with a quick thousand bucks for a days work.
I think we still have some climbin' to do, and hopefully we will see a couple more of these soon.

That's what I say too. It has hit 4.20 and 4.57 in less than the last 2 months, and imo it is in better shape than and undervalued in comparison to SOLR, SOLF, and others in the industry.
This just came out too.

There are over 5 million shorts out there and without any further guidance from the company, maybe they are covering/thinking about covering.
I should probably have a target picked out like you always do, but I'm just watchin' it right now. I think there is some more gas in the tank.
Just wanted to point it out.
Have a good day bud!
Juicy bid at 27 if anyone wants to take some profits.
Have a great day!
You'll have time to pick a nice spot for re-entry sometime soon I'm sure.
I think a lot of people thought that missing estimates by .13 was a bad thing, but imo, in this $hitty economy, that is pretty good.
I also like the 41 % institutional ownership, and if that # increased, I wouldn't be surprised at all.
Maybe the 7 million shorts decided it was time to cover?
JASO is makin' a move.
Those pre-market purchases yesterday aren't looking so silly anymore huh?
I agree on all counts and open any and all volume and pops with open arms.
You are incorrect. Check the news. It was a preferred dividend to be payed to holders of record sometime in January, and it never happened.
Also, a preferred dividend and a F/S are not the same thing.
I will let the other posters on the board defend the decision by the company not to pay the dividend which will likely include an explanation that they decided to do a F/S because it is "better" because the preferred shares would have been restricted for a year. That is BS, and AMNE needed to either do a F/S, a R/S, or authorize and issue a ton of extra shares so they could follow through on their Paradigm deal. They decided to do #1 and #3.
Talk amongst yourselves.
Are you talking about the announcement about the A/S or about the preferred dividend that they announced and never paid ?

You'll have to contact the TA to get the count on the O/S.
I'll take your offer into consideration.
WEll I'm glad that you're glad. hahaha
Seriously, I'll sell you my shares for $6/share tomorrow.
Wouldn't you be happy with 100% profit?
This is from your message.
"seems to me like someone is trying hard to hold it above these levels."
I couldn't agree more. They are trying hard to hold it above these levels is right.
When did you change your tune?
There are a lot of people that really need to examine all relevant documents in conjuction with each other and look at the entire situation for what it really is.
As good as it might feel to say that we are getting $12/share and a halt is coming soon, it simply isn't true, and yes, that is jmo, so again, there is no need for anybody to tell me that it is just what I think.
hahaha
I decided that I would rather make actual money while it goes up and down and gets pumped because imo a "halt","settlement", or "buyout" are several months down the road.
WMI currently has several lawsuits filed against them, JPM will not back down or buy them out until they have drained as much out of WMI as they can (and no, JPM does not just want this to go away), and the FDIC is not just going to make an announcement on Friday or anyday too soon saying "we f#cked up, here's a $hitload of money".
I know this is "just my opinion", so I don't need any of you telling me that. I know that. While you all continue to act like you're rich, I will be making money. Call me a flipper or whatever you want, but usually when everybody thinks something "big" is about to happen it doesn't, so I will capitalize on any spikes that I can.
If this answer doesn't suffice, maybe you could be more specific in your questioning.
What is your assessment of the situation?
I will be adversarial whenever I choose to be, I don't take meds, and you don't show respect for all posters nor do you ever support your statements with logic, reason, or fact.
You just attack people that you don't agree with and pump.
You are right , however, it is my call.

imo, he is not working on litigation directly related to the bankruptcy or a settlement in the area of a buyout. I feel he is representing WMI in lawsuits that have been filed against them in the past, which magically nobody seems to talk about.
I could hit you all with a lot of what-if situations that aren't pretty, but I won't do that.
Use your imaginations.

I'm not da man on it, but I have never lost on it.
$hit man, look at the 2 year chart and tell me that it's not oversold. You can look at the 1 month-3month-6-month, and they're oversold too, but imo, there is a lot of room on the upside, and I think they financials look A-OK for being in an "economic crisis".
Plus, I believe China is/will be building 2 solar plants in the upcoming months/years, although I need to go find the articles/news that addressed that.
I think it was smart. IMO you'll be able to sell for a gain in the short term (could have already) but if you go long on this one, you'll do more than fine.
It was smart of them to not even offer any further guidance for the upcoming months.
These guys are in a solid position and their position will only improve.
The low-no expectation game is going to benefit this stock .
As soon as people started dumping in pre-market today, somebody was quick on the scoop and continue to buy from the dumpers all day.
Woooo, hooooo!

You might want to check out TPTX again. I'm still in and it finally has been moving after a standstill. If it holds the gains from the last couple of days, it could be a mover soon imo, but I can't support that with technicals.
Cheers!
IMO, doesn't matter what stock it is, when they say buy, you should sell because that's what they're doing. They are dumping to all the people that they told to buy so the price goes down.
Crooks.
Hopefully we will see an article with greater detail in relation to this, and hopefully we will see it soon.
