MMs shakin' the tree hard, hang on!
Very strong close, ignoring the little dab of red paint there at the end. I have no doubt she's gonna run this week.
I just hope those painted 8s hold for an hour or two tomorrow, still waiting on some unsettled funds to land here.
EXPU -> Nice call Ichi!
Next week should be interesting...
EXPU / paper-thin, next week should be interesting.
Ichi, thanks much for the EXPU heads-up via email, got some of the last .065s to be filled! Nokorimono ni wa fuku ga aru. (Japanese proverb: there is luck in the last helping)
SMWF -> big hairy freakshow monster volume
SMWF sick volume, 1.75B served before lunch?!
A run would take SOFN's management by complete surprise - based on the complete lack of news & reporting from them lately, they WANT this thing as low as possible.
Bigz, a brief analysis of ZYXI please?
Been watching it lately for something to happen similar to last summer's run that started around this time last year. 1Q sales numbers look great, looking very bullish today.
That was an early prototype, this is the alleged production ERHU:
SOFN may be pink but it sure ain't looking rosy.
TXCO still looking for the bottom
GNTA news, crackalackin'
TXCO trying to recover pre-market?
SNCI pincher: give it smore time?
I took the bait this AM when it was bumping the .73s, just a few hundred shares. Yahoo has this enterprise valued at $2.59/sh - sorta looking ripe for a juicy takeover offer.
Radar: CDE
Big news: record production, +65% vs. Q1 08.
Earnings call 1:00 pm today.
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho, May 11, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation (NYSE:CDE) (TSX:CDM) (ASX:CXC) today announced an all-time first quarter production record of 3.9 million ounces of silver during the first quarter of 2009. This represents a 65% increase in silver production compared to last year's first quarter and was largely driven by new ounces of silver production from the new San Bartolomé silver mine in Bolivia. In addition to this significant production growth in the first quarter, the Company commenced production at its Palmarejo silver/gold mine in Mexico. This represents the Company's second major new mine to begin production within the last nine months.
"The impact of Coeur's new mines is now beginning to be reflected in the Company's quarterly results, which we expect will lead to a 66% increase in total silver production and a 85% jump in gold production this year," said Dennis E. Wheeler, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. "With the on-time and on-budget completion of Palmarejo - one of the largest new silver/gold mines in the world - Coeur's heaviest periods of capital investment in our two-year growth strategy plan are now behind us. As Palmarejo ramps up and San Bartolomé continues to perform consistently, we look forward to the transition into positive and significant cash flow generation."
SOFN wakes up, smells coffee
Keep in mind when large corporations like Telcos decide to tighten their belts in leaner times, one of their methods is to sh`tcan their over-priced 1st-tier providers, like SAP for IT services, and turn to smaller, lower-cost providers like SoftNet.
In times like these, the smaller, more nimble "Davids" have their best shot at knocking off the "Goliaths" of their industry.
"But for sure he has more patience than the average pinksheet trader."
Yep, patience is the name of the game here -- this ain't your average penny flipper. Here's my last correspondence w/ Mr. Atwell:

Subject: RE: updates?
Chris: We are working on a number of items right now, including setting up the annual shareholder meeting which is where we can get into more details on what is being planned, etc. As stated in the releases, these type of negotiations take time as there are many facets to the transactions. We will keep everyone updated as significant progress is made. We are also working on a new web site which should help with the flow of current information.
Thanks for your interest. Bob

I suppose there's a chance he may have simply tired of responding to never-ending info requests and just didn't feel like shelling out money for someone else to handle investor relations.
Of course, there's equal odds he simply cashed out, pulled stakes
UNG - agreed, probably not at the bottom yet; lower entry is fine by me as long as we catch it when it happens!
Thx for reply and chart post Bigz.
CDE? Bigz, sometimes it seems you're looking over my shoulder the way you keep jumping into shares I own!
I've been in and out of CDE once since it was laying dormant at .65, just got back in again recently, right under a buck. Holding intermediate term this time, mostly convinced this will move up steady going forward from here.
If I may ask: What do your trained eyes see as a bottom for UNG? It's been on the rocks of late, IMO, long overdue for recovery.
FAZ thru the roof
FAZ 11.40s schweet
At these low prices FAZ is basically a perpetual call option on the next leg of the financial meltdown.
These banks taking $25 billion handouts, needing $25 billion more to stay afloat, diluting like mad etc, while declaring peanuts for profits, the pundits call this a turnaround? LMFAO!
I really like the odds of this "bailout failure hedge" going green over the next few days, weeks or months. I grabbed a few dozen shares @ $9.52 as of Tuesday morning, target sell will be mid $20s, unless it seems obvious it will go much higher. Doesn't matter much to me if this happens next Monday or next July when the next batch of shitty quarterlies come out.
Mornin' Z-man, do you know if TSHL is doing a symbol change any time soon?
FAZ -> happy hour
FAZ -> many key earnings due out later this week, most notably GS, JPM, and C... all appear overbought over the last month IMO. GE is due this week, reports say they've been hiding $45 billion worth of bad debt in the financial division.
FAZ weeeeeeeeeee
"skf > IN 61 ISH"
Reading that loud and clear Shakez ~ in FAZ @ 9.52 here,
both were looking way oversold this AM.
"Is this thing ever gonna get a bid?"
SOFN -> primed for some good news?
Only 152m shares out-- you snooze you lose =^P
CDE -> nice bump on solid news, finally back over $1
MR. B: request for your chart read - SOFN
Looking at the 6-month chart, bollie bands have been tightening for what looks close to right amount of time, should be good for a nice little pop on any news & uptick in volume, eh wot?
Mornin' GT, watching THMR too but I loaded up on ACAS this week, the bailout plan rule changes been very kind to ACAS!
4G, maybe add CDE to your >$1 silver list soon? <grin>
HOG-> fired up for a nice springtime ride
NXG 1.26 x 1.27 B/A 11300x2000
TXCO on watch for bounce
-57% (so far) on earnings report of -$.01/sh? ... brutal.
PMI - thanks to the CP&T'er made that call here Friday! (MrB?)
Wrote a brief email note to Mr. Atwell, he responded very quickly and cordially to my inquiry. To paraphrase his response:
1. We are setting up the annual shareholder meeting which is where we can get into more details on what is being planned.
2. We will keep everyone updated as *significant* progress is made.
3. There is no timetable for news releases, we're releasing news as it occurs.
4. We are also working on a new web site which should help with the flow of current information.
5. Regarding mergers &/or aquisitions: these type of negotiations take time as there are many facets to the transactions.
Sounds like he's keeping things on a slow rolling boil over there. Holding and accumulating here with renewed enthusiasm.
