mmm....why now mate ??
are you long or short TOVC ?
TTFN TITTLE TATTLE....LOL
no need to de-ice your wires....have another redbull
BTW...thanks for listing some of the positive information from
the annual meeting on an earlier post...
plenty of good developments the last 6 months....
I would encourage all shareholders to visit the link provided from Dartmouth's Thayer School website. Tovc is mentioned and Dobbs is quoted. More importantly it is informative regarding the Ice technology we shareholders have ownership in. I know i have invested because of the automotive technology...but take a look at this posting on the school website...you may be pleasantly suprised .
I don t think the company is wounded...
i think they are gaining strength against
all odds for a company of their size.
TOVC is now enagaged with 2 truck manufacturers,
2 major automakers, USAF/Navy/Nissan Racing/ and
NASA drove TOVC parts down Pennsylvania ave on its
way to the moon....and Lockheed.
I believe most of the 200+ attendees
at the shareholder meeting feel like i do...
and by the way...they voted that way !
you may have just inflicted a little wound on yourself !
so you were buying the stock while bashing the company and management on this board?....mmmmm...nice trading strategy
i think you are the one misrepresenting what was written...
i read it differently ,and common sense tells me that whatever was on the table slid to a later date...you know that...
what price should the stock trade at if a deal like jim described did get signed?..humor me?...
10mm cars will be sold(domestically) next year and likely go up from there over the next few years....someone will make them and someone will try and be innovative with their products over time...there will be companies(customers)to sell to...that argument doesn t fly...at all..
btw...many of the deals done last fall are crap deals for both the comapnies and the govt(us !)...so despite wanting a deal quickly, a bad deal is no deal at all. I want a good deal for shareholders even if it requires even more patience by shareholders.
have bt a bunch below $1.00....
have had trades below my bid a few times also
I have spoken with people at the meeting and have read this transcript. I am disappointed we didn t have a signed deal announced last week....I am not alone on that count. I don t think the CEO update promised one--i was hoping.
the market will not build any premium into the stock price for any potential deal that TOVC has chatted about, nor any outstanding relationships that continue to move foward and offer hope for future revenue and credibility by their very nature.
I actually think the market is penalizing and discounting the share price for the lack of revenues and no deal announcement...-not a totally irrational response. What is a fair price for this stock if it did announce a $50mm deal?
I continue to see more reasons to think the there is value here and we are closer than ever to having a deal that validates that belief.
We are obviously close to a deal for a large order of FTV's from a large car maker. I believe management when they describe the depth of these negotiations. The order would be monetarily important and validation for TOVC technology. The company has had nothing close to this in the past in my opinion.
Nasa/USAF /lockheed all provide me with comfort that we are headed in the direction. The economy is a huge headwind---that is our real challenge
thanks very much for the info...
seems like much is new ,and TOVC is getting closer
on larger and more important engagements.
no we didn t get ink on a contract...but the CEO update
didn t say we would. please take another read. The CEO
update was a flag for all investors that management feels
they are making huge progress on many fronts and to stay
the course and you will be rewarded.
no snapshot in time since TOVC has been public,
has it been as far advanced with products and counterparties.
no other time is even close. the option we own on great automotive technology has appreciated greatly over the last year and more so the last couple of months. The market hasn t
recognized that yet and therefore this stock is mispriced anywhere below $2.00. The economy and business environment is horrific, but we seem to be moving foward as large companies are now outsourcing to find any solution that helps them survive. TOVC will provide those solutions and the deals will follow. Hold on folks....some more patience will be rewarded.
if you were at the meeting...please share some details about what management said....thanks....and good night
$50 million...is nothing?...i assume with a major company... i wasn t at the metting so its hard to analyze anything this evening...you are showing your colors... so you have no transcript and info and you are doom and gloom...i will be chatting with some people at the meeting and management and see where we stand... a $50 million royalty deal would be great news and a great step for this company...i need more info...i think you do also
business enviroment is horrific...any company(ies)that TOVC is engaging may have cause to delay an order or announcement. look at Dow and Rohm&Haas and what happenned on the way to the altar. things can change quickly, especially in this business environment. I will allow for that, you may not. I expect meat on the bone thursday night...but i won t sell if i don t get it
because i feel TOVC is closer than at any time since its been public--- thats the point !!!....I have met the Gleasmans . these guys are what this country needs---hard working guys who are creating new technologies and products that may create jobs and be eco friendly. No debt,,,great products,,,recent engagements with NASA,USAF,LOCKHEED...thats how i can say soon...this a highly speculative investment and was mispriced too high over the years...it is less speculative and undervalued now...
i had an open good till cancelled order placed with my broker over a week long period early this year...10k+ shares was the size of my order...a few days the opening trade occurred below my order price...the sales were below my bid and were in the amount of 800 hundred shares...when Tovc was trading below $1.00 and
and in the last few weeks, there is someone or somebody who is trying to sell below market and keep this price low. naked short sellers?...published short sellers?...I don t know either way. This is a small cap stock in a very illiquid market environment for risky assets....but if you are long Tovc, realize that this is going on.
i agree with TORVECIAN's size up of the short position.
I hope we have an announcement of substance this week, but if the "watershed"announcement is coming soon, but not this week, don t panic folks and sell out ,and play into the shorts if they sell hard friday morning.
There is still great value in this company and not much is priced in at these levels. Take an objective view to what you hear this week and realize that if it isn t this week, very soon this company will be valued much higher.
stay long or get longer....and hold long term. we have good management and great technology---that will be clear friday morning .
I read the CEO update again....my take is that TOVC has a few deals they are close to announcing. I assume that one of those deals is the "watershed event" that drives the valuation to very high levels. I assume that 1 or more additional deals are in the mix as well, and that while great news and revenue generating aren t of the same magnitude.
So while i want the big deal announced ASAP,my expectation is that at least one or more of the smaller deals will be announced.
what is priced in at $1.35 per share ??....not much in my view. My expectation is for some smaller revenue producing event to be announced and some type of indication/inference that all shareholders should stay around for the second or third act.
I would at least"keep the faith" through the first quarter when i assume we will see 2 or 3 releases that deliver what you/we have been waiting for.
keep the faith and keep your shares.
just my reading of the CEO update tea leaves....
what is the 200 day moving average?...
I don t think the stock has priced in
a watershed(turning point)event at all...
any announcement of a multi million $ deal
with a large counterparty will bring in new investors
who will pay a considerable premium to todays
prices and we will see a new valuation placed
on TOVC shares.
we can debate the timing of any announcement
based on the CEO update, but i don t think we can debate
that the CEO is highly confident he has something very
significant pending. My expectation is by the end
of the quarter we will see a couple of announcements
and maybe as early as the annual meeting or just prior
to the meeting. thats my read. I continue to add to
position.
golden shoes?...
Dj...play some Liberace for this fella..
look what dabreeze blew in...
at or before the meeting major announcement....sell me
more stock before the meeting... please...
i think there are other buyers...
PATENTS ARE A VIRTUE ! ....AND TOVC HAS THEM IN SPADES....
peace to all ...merry christmas and happy new year
stick by this pearl of wisdom?
company is self funding...and has been for years...
is this your way of saying you were wrong with your
ch 11 prediction not too long ago?
upward pressure has begun...and it will last for quite a while.
meant last week...
overall market action through the week was challenging
again, especially with"auto"news.
I expect us to have higher prices in the near term .
lets see what happens...are you buying more?selling?
i think most shareholders are waiting for a news release with details
of a deal. I simply think more shares should be bought in
advance. Even dread said he would be buying some shares back
from his previous higher priced sales.
All that said...the low trades are in and the recent price action
seems positive to me.
price action pretty good this week...we will trade higher into the meeting or upon an
announcement.
This company's widgets work and other companies are seeking solutions in the
automotive technology space. This is good for TOVC, and we will have evidence in short order.
With GM,Ford, and Chrysler on the ropes, they will fight out of that corner hard and try to survive. Other competitors globally know they have a great opportunity to gain marketshare in the USA by offering better products. TOVC has product solutions for both domestic and foreign corporations in both trucks and cars.
Breakthroughs and innovation in automotive technology could be a great story in 2009. Despite this horrible economy, this company has never been positioned better.
TOVC has traded between $8 & $10 three or four times over the years. Read the CEO update and think if $1.15 is worth the investment. If you sold to take a tax loss you may not want to wait too long to cover or take the loss on a different security.
tick tick tick...
hear ya
i wouldn t suggest marriage....you sold just below
$2.00 and followed this company for years...maybe
a december/february affair to remember??...
maybe you crazy kids will get married and have a few
capital gains to worry about :)
Jim Gleasman didn t give the bunt sign
all shareholders should read the CEO update a few times....
buy?sell?hold?....
TOVC is telling its shareholders something will be announced
at or prior to the annual meeting that will create value way above
todays $1+ market price. "if"they announce anything that is $10million+
in revenue with a major counterparty and "if" what is announced seems to be
something that has growth or can reoccur as revenue source a $30million market cap on this company becomes very "cheap" very fast.
at the very least ch 11 and liquidity issues should be off the table by those who thought they were issues. TOVC traded at $2.00+ for most of 2008. The CEO update has a tone like no other the company has made in the past. So to buy below $2.00 prior to the announcement would be perfectly rationale. I have bought about as much as i can...so yes i am looking for others to join in. If anybody on the board has been a seller....please speak up and give the rationale for those sales. i would love to hear the other side of the argument.
the markets have killed many investors appetite for risk across the markets.
So,i think many will wait for more detail and hard proof of a deal before
they buy more TOVC.
TOVC did not put this CEO update out because they have a 1-2mm rev deal on the horizon. Whatever does get announce has to be in the tens of million or more and i assume with a partner of real substance.....otherwise there is no way they would put this update out and be this bold.
The markets are really ugly so we won t go to far without an announcement or more detail...but when you read that CEO there is no way what TOVC has on the table
isn t big news that will revalue this stock price much higher.
TOVC was cheap before the CEO update....if a company makes a public statement that they would be buying their own stock back if they could...then standing on the sidelines or selling makes very little sense.
thanks to whomever sold me shares last week...
the statement is very bold.
the economic enviroment is so horrible
that maybe the CEO just has to hold off
on the announcement till all is signed off.
This CEO update leads me to conclude that TOVC
is assigning a very high probablity of getting a deal(s)
done within 60days and that they also felt it imperative
to communicate with investors. People are getting margin
calls and rushing to raise cash in this market. I am sure they
don t want long time shareholders to sell and then they make
a big annoucement. Maybe TOVC fears they may have liability
issues with shareholders who sell and come back and say
why the hell didn t you tell us you were this close to these
deals??...maybe thats why they put out this type of update?
only they know the full scoop.
BTW...are you related to RED HERRING ?
I find the CEO update very imformative
and you can draw your own conclusions...
but i do think it is clear they would love to buy
more of the company back if they were allowed
and there should be no confusion about that.
the company tries to inform and its like they threw
5 rubber balls at a black lab...
buy TOVC...especially if you are short...by the way,
if you are short or sold recently its gonna really burn
if you miss this thing trading up. all these years and in
the worst market ever the company does a deal. ouch !
whatever does get announced we can only speculate...the company once again reminds all shareholders that they deal in a world where they have to manage shareholder communications around disclosure agreements. i think TOVC is telling its investors please hold on...if the Gleasmans could buy more they would....they are trying to do the right thing for anybody long...lets give them credit either now or in the rear view mirror 30-60 days foward for doing the right thing. those who have been quick to bash and accusatory should get a little salt and pepper for the crow you may be served shortly.
TOVC would appear to be on the cusp of 1 or 2 agreements that will allow the market to price more value into the company's share price. This is an option and once the market can start discounting some type of projected cash flows this $30mm market cap could trade much higher even in the worst market in 80 years. i doubt we trade much higher than the $1.50-$2.00(where we were only a couple of months ago) level prior to a formal announcement because so little risk capital is in the market now.
Take a fresh look at TOVC on a share price versus a timeline for potential commercialization event......its never been cheaper !!!....gotta buy more...time to be greedy not fearful....shorts.. please call a proctologist !!
i think the shorts may have a "bloodshed"event not a watershed
event:)
dread ...even you should buy back your shares .I assume at
around the same cost as your sales. Don t be stubborn .
I have been adding and will buy more today...if you liked the
story for a few months,a few years or decade why wouldn t you add to position ??....sell some other loser and allocate some more $$ to TOVC....30-60 day option that could give you a multiple return...
#3...NASA,LOCKHEED,USAF,NISSAN RACING....ALL KNOW ABOUT TOVC...
no big cash deal ..yet...but people know about the firm
the markets have become unglued...TOVC has more things going the right
direction than at any time in the company's history.
TOVC has funded for years and will continue to do so...and has no debt--which
is a good thing BTW.
stock price will fluctuate and could go lower, the markets are under extreme pressure and even people who like the TOVC story could sell to raise cash.
i will be adding below a buck and i am sure others will also.
remember with TOVC technology (differentials/FTV/ice technology)
we can handle these slippery slopes.
i know yus detractors mean well....IMO of course.
or email the company...or visit...they
aren t sitting on their thumbs, but if you do
visit and make that accusation a different
finger may appear !
i agree on the SEC...they could give a crap
about this board
10q.. current status of projects...
the company has some good things going
on...this is a company filing...not a
message board with uninformed opinions.
Lockheed not mentioned by name,but
certainly by project...TOVC is engaged
with Lockheed i have no doubt.
Major auto maker...GM ?
NASA
USAF...
is TOVC a better buy or sell around $1.00 a
share?...its a better buy...
is TOVC better situated with major end users of its
products than in the past?...yes
does NASA bring credibilty and validation for the capability
of TOVC technology?...yes...
NO debt...the company has funded for years and will continue
ford /gm will restructure...not disappear...restructure not liquidate...they will still make cars but not have the legacy costs that they are victim to. They may even embrace new technology knowing it may be the only way to survive..not to mention thrive.
workers, retirees and creditors(not to mention shareholders)will all likely recieve less $...but the country may finally get a world class auto industry that can create value for all involved.
its my assumption that at least these two majors will continue to make cars regardless ...at least for a while.
the economy is a huge headwind for TOVC and any small company.
The product solutions and innovation TOVC offers may get a better ear than in the past because of this enviroment--we'll see.
No Debt...is a very good thing !
this is your side of the story and i will take you at your word. I am sure there is another side..it may never be told.
but this is a soap opera I don t give a crap about. to be frustrated as a longtime shareholder and to vent is part of what the board is all about.
if you turn the recent Lockheed /TOVC news into a negative spin and infer that the company has fraudulently represented itself, and demand transparency when a non disclosure rules the company's actions, then based on your disclosure the grapes get sour real fast.
prospects vs price has never been better for TOVC...yes the economy is a huge headwind .
The GLEASMANS are quality people who have 15 million shares of motivation and unlike most of corporate america they live and die with this company. think about that folks !
$1.10 cts friday for an option on all that technology...better buy than sell for sure.
dread...i had read this board for years
and found it very useful and found you to be
very fair...pro-TOVC...yet fair.
sadly this hasn t been the case for some
time in my opinion...and others.
TOVC has and will fund itself...
TOVC engagements and propspects are
better than at anytime in its life as
a public entity...and adjusted for market
price and prospects is as cheap as it ever has been
TOVC and LOckheed is creates value
TOVC and the USAF creates value
TOVC and NASA validates technological expertise and innovation
I keep adding ...i may have even bought some
of your shares dread !!..long and getting longer
thanks ...re your position(having reduced)
banter between posters should be giving some
latitude...certainly much latitude is taken
regarding the company discussed on this board.
I don t think busting some "stones"is a personal
attack...if it comes my way thats fine with me.
your the moderator...your call obviously.
i do think if the company says they can t
discuss due to non disclosure constraints it
can become a very one sided smear campaign
against the company very quickly. there are
different interpretations of what the company
has said .
does a non disclosure with Lockheed mean that
TOVC can t move on a deal on CV' with another
company?...we just don t know do we,and the non
disclosure document could potentially preclude
the company from discussing that via a ceo message
or any other means of communication. That wouldn t
be bad...it would be good. right??
