PowerLinx Announces Milestones for New Products
Wednesday October 26, 5:00 pm ET
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 2005--Power Linx, Inc. (OTCBB: PWLX - News), today released updates regarding the Company's emerging new products for communicating audio, video, voice, and data over the power lines of an existing home or small office.
Final engineering is estimated to be complete within 45 days on new products in three categories. A new power line audio product will be targeted to home entertainment OEMs and resellers. The next-generation version of SecureView(TM) will incorporate multiple-camera control in "light bulb" form factors, and will also feature new form factors for wider use in home and business. PowerLinx will also introduce its first digital PLC products, beginning with a new digital power-line Network Camera.
PowerLinx CEO Mike Tomlinson indicated the initial timelines pointed to product releases during Second Quarter of 2006. "There's been a lot of interest lately, in when our customers are going to see the products we've been so excited about during the engineering phase," he said. "We're looking forward to showing the first results, and excited about the rest of the new products scheduled to follow the initial introductions next spring."
According to Tomlinson, the estimated release dates are based on the most recent project plan timelines. Risks associated with engineering new technology, and certain external influences such as regulatory approvals or component availability, have been factored in but may shorten or lengthen time to market by several weeks.
About PowerLinx, Inc.: PowerLinx, Inc., www.power-linx.com, develops, manufactures, and markets products and applications that transmit voice, video, audio and data either individually or in any and all combinations over power lines, twisted-pair wires and coax in AC and DC power environments, on any and all power grids. The Company has also developed, manufactured, and marketed different kinds of underwater video cameras, lights and accessories for the marine, commercial and consumer retail markets.
That seems to be the norm with PWLX eom
Looks like George is out...
But will it make any difference????
According to Michael Jackson's doctor....
Jackson suffered from acute food poisoning after eating a 10 year old weiner.
NEWS FLASH!- Michael Jackson is missing
from his hospital room!!
Nevermind... security found him flirting with patients in the pediatic ward.
I have followed and invested in
SEVU then PWLX since 1999. I won't embarrass myself and state how much money I have lost. I have come to the conclusion that this stock is a POS and WE have been boo-joe'd from day one. This "multi-million dollar contract" was the last straw. What little credibility the company had left is so far gone underwater that even a seaview camera could not find it. Maybe an Atlantis camera can find it since Seaview underwater cameras were REMOVED from the supercircuits catalog and replaced with Atlantic cameras.
If you are still a cheerleader for this stock you obviously must be a paid pumper. I am mad at myself for being so blind and believing this BS for such a long time. I was truly hopeful after the company had landed the last contract. Caca again... and again... and the overseas caca... and the parking lot system caca... the list goes on.
FCC Adopts Broadband over Power Line (BPL) Rules
The FCC adopted rules to encourage the development of Access Broadband over Power Line (Access BPL) while safeguarding existing licensed radio services against harmful interference. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the FCC have concluded that the interference concerns of licensed radio users can be adequately addressed under the Part 15 model. Specifically, the new order adopted by the Commission:
sets forth rules imposing new technical requirements on BPL devices, such as the capability to avoid using any specific frequency and to remotely adjust or shut down any unit;
establishes “excluded frequency bands” within which BPL must avoid operating entirely to protect aeronautical and aircraft receivers communications; and establishes “exclusion zones” in locations close to sensitive operations, such as coast guard or radio astronomy stations, within which BPL must avoid operating on certain frequencies;
establishes consultation requirements with public safety agencies, federal government sensitive stations, and aeronautical stations.
establishes a publicly available Access BPL notification database to facilitate an organized approach to identification and resolution of harmful interference.
changes the equipment authorization for Access BPL systems from verification to certification; and
improves measurement procedures for all equipment that use RF energy to communicate over power lines.
The FCC and FERC believe that BPL provides an opportunity to increase the competitive broadband choices that are available to customers. They also expect Access BPL to facilitate the ability of electric utilities to dynamically manage the power grid itself, increasing network reliability by remote diagnosis of electrical system failures.

LOOK AT THIS!
Out of the last PR, this is what caught my attention most!
"The addition of the net proceeds of this funding enhances the Company's balance sheet, putting the Company in a position to apply for an exchange listing. The Company will now accelerate the process of that application."
How about it now all you skeptics??!!!
If you have been waiting for the contract, wait now more. What great news!! I have been a hold out and kept my stock!
NEWS! CONTRACT!!

Re-POST from RB
I stole this post from RB made by Cabos Tacos - READ!
O/T just got back from belize tonight after delivering a 65 ft power cat that cooper built in st pete.
great ride. 20 knts.. sailing, is well sailing.. it was nice doing 20 knts.....it can be a spoiler.
we squeezed the crossing between those last two fronts. we would have been dusted at 6knts
now......just happened that we fueled up at terra verde so i went to SEVU and talked with Doug and George.
I can say this. They seem to be sincere and trying very hard to make this company work.
They were very open and my impression is this isnt a stock scam.. and it isnt something to defraud people.
these guys have some great products and are enthusiastic about making it go.
im convinced that they are working hard to make it succeed.
whether they can only time will tell.
but if it doesnt id imagine they have more to lose than anyone on this board.
theyve probably made some mistakes. one might be trusting folks to much.
i know i bashed them and ive got some questions too about why certain things might have been publically announced.
i might even believe that calandra might have posted some stuff that might have been taken out of context.
after meeting with them im going to give them the benefit of the doubt.
after talking with them ive decided that this board isnt the forum i want to be involved with.
most here will be happy ive left.
i just thought id personally go and meet with the people that ran this company.
i like them.
u guys enjoy it. have fun.
merrry christmas
This would be a good place for Seaview cameras.

PowerLinx, Inc. (formerly SeaView) Begins Trading Under New Stock Symbol: PWLX
December 2003 (Newstream) -- Power-Linx, Inc. [OTCBB: PWLX], the leader in powerline communication products, will begin trading under the stock symbol PWLX, beginning December 10, 2003. The Board of Directors recently approved the name change resolution after receiving written consent in lieu of a meeting by a majority of its shareholders of record as of October 24, 2003.
The Board believes the new name and stock symbol, PWLX, better conveys the core business of the Company which is designing, developing, manufacturing and selling, products and applications developed to transmit voice, video, audio and data either individually or any and all combinations over power lines, in AC and DC power environments, on any and all power grids. The Company is the only Company in the world with the ability to deliver a product which transmits real-time video via the powerline in a home or small office. The applications the Company sells include consumer video security, consumer electronic products, transportation safety, and commercial security products. These products are sold to original equipment manufacturers (OEM), dealers, distributors, retailers, and consumers throughout the world. Key products include:
SecureView™ by PowerLinx, Inc.
The "camera in a light bulb" simply screws into any light socket. Inside the "bulb" is a sophisticated low-light monochrome camera coupled to exclusive IRFS™ circuitry. This circuit "encodes" the video and feeds it directly to the power line. Each camera has a companion "decoder" which plugs into any wall outlet. A standard video cable connects the decoder to any TV or VCR. It's simple and easy. There are no wires to run, no holes to drill, and no antennas or complicated "tuning" is required.
PowerLinx Vision System™ ("PLVS")
This system for heavy duty trucks, recreational vehicles, and SUVs consists of small environmentally-sealed transmitter and receiver modules which connect to the vehicle wiring harness. Video from side or rear-vision cameras are sent to the driver via PLC (power line carrier) for viewing on a flat-panel or green-phosphor video display. Since the PLVS system accepts standard EIA/RS-170 video signals, the technology can be retrofitted to a wide variety of equipment. The technology is particularly appealing for tractor-trailer combinations and other towables such as fifth-wheel RVs.
PowerLinx™ Parking Lot Surveillance System (available 2004)
This system will extend the benefits of PowerLinx™ power-line video technology to wider-area installations in retail and industrial environments.
The Company will continue to grow, develop, manufacture and sell different kinds of underwater video cameras, lights and accessories for the marine, commercial and consumer retail markets under the SeaView™ brand name.
About PowerLinx, Inc.:

The Company has also developed and manufactures different kinds of underwater video cameras, lights and accessories for the marine, commercial and consumer retail markets.
'SEVU.OB' is no longer valid. It has changed to PWLX.OB.

Seaview is now Powerlinx
http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/031205/55308_1.html
The question is, at what cost?
Hardly, I have been a SEVU long
since 1999 and have added stock every year. I have always been a cheerleader of sevu and even have sold SEVU underwater cameras to public safety dive teams. I have some serious concerns about the dilution but will refrain from negative remarks at this time. Lets just say I will be looking over the numbers carefully and am not just a blind follower.
Yer kidding right? Did you miss the 5 million dilute or did you just choose to ignore it? I am going to reserve being too negative until I see the next set of numbers.

SIA Truck Bodies, Inc., a leading Ford® Truck Bailment Pool dealer in the Southeastern United States, begins distribution of our PowerLine Vision Systems (PLVS)(TM) as an option on its truck body models and vans for Truck Dealers and its fellow National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) members.
SeaView enters into a strategic business alliance with China Silian Group Co., Ltd (SIC Group), www.sicc.com.cn, of Chongqing, China who is one of the 500 largest industrial enterprises in China, manufacturing a wide array of electrical instrument products for worldwide distribution to customers who include ABB Ltd. and Siemens AG.
SecureView(TM) debuts in August on leading direct television retailer, Shop At Home Network, LLC. and has subsequently been featured on a regular basis.
SeaView entered into a redemption agreement with the convertible debenture holders to redeem the $1,000,000 12% convertible debenture purchase agreement executed September 20, 2002 and the $440,000 12% convertible debenture agreement executed May 9, 2003. The redemption closed on August 27, 2003 at which time SeaView paid all remaining principal balances which had not been previously converted into common stock, any accrued interest, and any applicable prepayment penalties in cash. In addition, SeaView did not execute the last two remaining $60,000 tranches of the May 9, 2003 12% convertible debenture agreement.
SeaView entered into a strategic business alliance with Advantage Financial Services, Inc. of Chicago, IL. Advantage Financial Services will use a number of strategic lending sources to lease SeaView product acquisitions for our customers.
SeaView engaged the government affairs firm of Alcalde & Fay in Arlington, Va. to represent its interests before the United States Congress as well as federal departments and agencies.
SeaView received $300,000 through warrants exercised by the original debenture holder. The warrants were issued as part of the original debenture agreement and registration filed September 30, 2002 and carried an exercise price of $.10. As a result of this exercise, the company now has 960,000 warrants outstanding which currently have not been registered.
SeaView expanded its Board of Directors. William B. "Bill" Edwards, President K & M Associates LP, and Francisco "Frank" Sanchez, Managing Director of Cambridge Negotiation Strategies, accepted appointments to join the Board effective November 1, 2003.
Commenting on these results, George S. Bernardich III, SeaView's Chairman & CEO stated, "The Company continues to systematically grow our sales base by utilizing its available capital productively and judiciously as evidenced by our fifth consecutive quarter of sales growth. As a result, the Company will achieve it highest sales volume in its history for fiscal year 2003. We expect the Company to continue to achieve new milestones on a regular basis over the coming quarters and years. Our PowerLine Vision System (PLVS)(TM) continues to be deployed throughout an expanding customer base among distributors, dealers and fleets. Thus far, the PLVS(TM) product has produced verifiable safety enhancement and property loss savings for the customers and fleets which we expect to result in additional orders and contracts. In addition, SecureView(TM), 'camera in a light bulb', sales continue to gradually grow since debuting as a very successful 'daily special' on Shop At Home Network TV and, we expect to remain on the airwaves at Shop At Home Network TV through the holiday season. During the quarter, the Company completed several rounds of private placements with accredited investors totaling $1,765,618. In addition to the above accomplishments, these investments have allowed the Company to facilitate the following:
1. The Company paid in full all amounts owed to our former product manufacturer, ProTek, Inc., who had previously filed a lawsuit to collect balances due. The Company was able to negotiate a discount on the remaining $400,000 balance. Also, as a result of the settlement, the Company received all remaining finished product in ProTek's inventory and all remaining parts were shipped to China Silian for use in Chinese production.
2. The Company executed the initial financial obligations for inventory procurement set forth in our business alliance agreement with China Silian Group, Ltd our new product manufacturer.
3. The Company negotiated payment in full at a significant discount most of the remaining dated payables and previously filed judgments. Further, a reserve has been established to handle payment of those extremely dated payables.
In the coming months, the Company expects to clean up any remaining dated payables so that we may have a clean balance sheet as we enter the New Year. With the remaining monies from our private placement and the monies the Company expects to raise from our $5M preferred stock offering the Company expects to achieve the following over the next several quarters:
1. Complete research and development of our PLVS Plus Home Monitoring System for product launch in 2004.
2. Complete research and development of our digital SecureView Parking Lot Surveillance System for product launch in 2004.
3. Entertain and complete acquisition of technology development and service provider companies to complement and enhance the Company's ability to execute the business plan.
4. Improve the Company organization, especially the national sales force and the engineering department.
5. Increase our marketing for SecureView(TM), 'camera in a light bulb', and PowerLine Vision Systems (PLVS(TM)).
6. Facilitate strengthening and expansion of the Company Board of Directors.
While we have many projects we are working on to improve our Company, the main focus will continue to be on sales growth and continuing our current five-quarter sales growth trend which includes aggressively working toward achieving our operational breakeven point in the 4th quarter. And, as we are aggressively working to insure we achieve the above goals, we have our eyes on moving toward an exchange listing and changing the Company name to better convey our primary business of powerline communications, hopefully in the coming year. We have already added two new board members and expect more additions in the future. This additional leadership, along with the continued planned and systematic approach we have been executing, will allow the Company to emerge as a worldwide leader in manufacturing and distribution of PowerLine products to consumer, commercial and industrial markets."

Commenting on the new appointments, George S. Bernardich III, SeaView's Chairman & CEO stated: "As the Company continues to grow, it is critical that we have the leadership in place to challenge, guide and advise the management team in properly executing our business plan to generate maximum returns to our shareholders. Not only will these two gentlemen add expertise we have not had in the past to our Board, they will be ambassadors for the Company within their professional networks and expand our opportunities for growth in the future. The additions to our Board are another strategic step toward our long-term goal of becoming a worldwide leader in the manufacturing and distribution of PowerLine communication products to consumer, commercial and industrial markets. The appointments of Mr. Edwards and Mr. Sanchez are the initial additions to further broaden the expertise of our Board."
I agree Bizz, but the question
remains if SEVU can tap into these markets and capitalize on the products. I am sure it is in the works and there are some developments pending. I have faith that the company is working on these avenues through a good PR and advertizing campaign.
Do you think I should buy???
