...on a sad note....they're shutting down the only Dr Pepper plant (in Dublin Texas) that produces Dr Pepper made from real sugar.
That by the way is not a conspiracy...but a fact.
Ordinary
Yes sir.

Better adjust your tin foil hat, and check your Mountain Dew for traces of LSD, Jawmoke.
I think the government is trying to brainwash you!
LOL
But seriously....
Ordinary
I said it was a theory....I did not claim MK Ultra was a fact.
You have issues when it comes to separating fact from fiction jawmoke.
Perhaps you should find a remedy for your problem before you continue stating your opinions in public.
Ordinary
"...but MK ULTRA is well documented and it was without any question the government using the people as guinea pigs"
I'm well aware of the MK Ultra conspiracy theory sir.
"....That is not opinion but fact".
I wouldn't go around announcing that in public sir....lest ye want to be made to look mighty silly....
Ordinary
LOLOLOL!!!
ok ok ok...ok Jawmoke....ok.
You have your opinion. And I have mine.
Good luck to you sir.

"...We're talking about a government that treats its people as if they are no more than lab rats experimenting on us without our knowledge or permission..."
The United States Air Force conducted mock bombing raids during the 1950's, simulating major US cities as Soviet targets. They had to make their bomb runs under a certain time or the objective would fail. Clearly nothing materialized from these events, aside from routine internal USAF reporting that the missions were either a success or a failure (based on the flight crew manning the bombers, weather, etc).
Starting about the same time, the United States military (presumably the Army, but I don't exactly remember) tested vaccines on soldiers who, prior to the vaccinations, were subjected to germ attacks (simulating germ warefare). Years later President Clinton apologized for the experiments and Congress paid restitution to those who were experimented on. To my knowledge I don't think anyone died from those experiments.
These two examples do not prove your point. But I wanted to point out these unrelated events had nothing to do with one another.
The "chem-trail" conspiracy is unfounded. You can lump that into the same catagory that includes UFO's, the lost city of Atlantis and the spaceship that was SUPPOSED to pick up those poor Heaven's Gate souls back in 1997.
The government may not fully represent the people. But they clearly aren't using the People as guinea pigs either.
An Ordinarydude who thinks there was an X-Files episode that touched on that very subject years ago...
The UN doesn't have a sovereign right to collect them.
All the UN can do is make noise. In some cases they will pass meaningful legislation (food aid, etc). But this clearly isn't considered "meaningful".
And no government, foreign OR domestic will be so stupid as to declare America "gun free"....unless we were occupied by a foreign force that is superior to our own.
Even then....it would be difficult to fend off a well organized army, militia, and a band of determined individuals like you and I.
Ordinary
LOL!!!
I wouldn't worry about things like that redfisher.
Ordinary
Well thank you.
And I may just take you up on that offer someday, sir.

How interesting. And congratulations are in order for your children. Not only for your two daughters. But for your son as well. After all, it takes guts to stand up for what you believe in....even if it puts you, your family, your friends and colleagues etc through drama in the process.
Speaking of dichotomy, my younger brothers couldn't be further apart. Both work. But one takes personal initiative when performing work....and also takes personal responsibility for his decisions. While he plays video games online (both of us do, actually), he bought his games (and his fairly sophisticated "gaming" computer) with money HE SAVED. He's prudent with his money too. Come to think of it, there isn't anything that my youngest brother fails at in life...except when it comes to alcoholism....of which has been a huge sticking point with my family, his family (particularly his wife) and I. This issue is still ongoing....
The other blames the former for ALL his woes, claiming he was abandoned when our brother went off on his own (they were nearly inseparable before graduating high school). This brother subsequently turned to drugs and job hopped frequently. He married, then DIVORCED a woman who didn't love him (unfortunately they produced a child, of which still lives with his ex-wife...of whom he pays a hefty child support payment on a monthly basis). He finally settled down with a tile manufacturer here in the DFW area, but he works his tail off. He finally moved out on his own (after repeated attempts to "fly" the roost before). Ironically, he swore off drugs. He had to. Otherwise his probation officer would put him back in jail (he went to jail due to failure to pay child support a few years ago).
Both men are about 5 years younger than I am. Both are in the their 30's.
The silver lining is both agree with our collective viewpoint, Back2basics. In order to SUCCEED, we must place our selfish desires behind us. In order for us to do this, we must rethink our ethos. Redefining ourselves takes time, personal sacrifice and often times our endeavor will end in failure. But as I told both of my brothers recently, failure isn't a barrier...but a pathway to success. We need to teach ourselves (and others) that it's ok to fail...so long as we learn from them and become better people as a result.
The key to recovery isn't rapid investment in new marketing channels, products, etc. It's a rapid investment in the way we perceive ourselves.
If we don't shed our personal aggrandizements and start thinking like responsible citizens, then we will ensure our national destruction by continuing to elect irresponsible leaders in Washington and by allowing the powerful few to dictate policy and our future at the expense of We the People.
Ironically, education is the KEY to success. But we shouldn't erect barriers to educational opportunities, nor should we allow for it be pressed upon those who do not seek such opportunities beyond a trade skill (or high school, for that matter).
Ordinary
Indeed.
On a side note...could you imagine someone with a physics degree fixing your toilet??

I don't know about you...but I've run across many people my age who lament going to college.
I know a few who went back to become HVAC technicians, nurses, etc several years after receiving their engineering degrees from University of Texas, etc.
One became a blacksmith---A BLACKSMITH. And he's quite good at it too.
FWIW I'm in my 30's.
Anyway, our society lost our ability to be productive. It's largely to do with this intense pressure to GO TO COLLEGE. Some of that pressure came from parents, but much of it came from our culture of overcompetitiveness, "me first attitude" and fear.

......well "old man" Orville Gibson was indeed a shrewd individual, but the one who stands tall as THE price-cutting champion is Sam Walton.
Of course what Gibson and Walton did wasn't new. It was a trademark of successful businesspeople such as Mary Kay, Andrew Carnegie, C.L. Werner, J.B. Hunt, etc...etc....etc.
They made their money not because of the products they successfully sold, they made their money due to keeping costs low for the businesses they run (and for the customers that purchase their goods)!
Ordinary
LOLOLOL!!! Will check it out fuagf.
And yes, I've been busy. Extraordinarily busy. So busy I define the very word "busy". In fact, if you look up the word "busy" in the dictionary, you will find a picture of me. Smiling and waving as I move to and fro in my Ralph Lauren polo shirt and cargo shorts.
That's how busy I've been.

Of course he didn't.
Neither could Congress.

The genes that affect browlines are way too strong in this family's bloodline. In fact, it's such a dominant gene that distant relatives, 4 times removed (like me) suffer from this problem.
I've tried everything. Shaving, waxing, plucking. I'm stuck with this God awful "black line" of furriness that sits on my forehead.

They wouldn't. Especially if their aim is to disrupt internet service.
