My estimate---2-4 weeks
Bought a few KOG @ .39 and sold most @ 5.00
Wish now I had bought more and not sold any but my crystal ball doesn't work.
I hope SIOR behaves like KOG did. I have a much larger position.
This acquisition should give us an idea what our Jonah assets are worth.

DJ6565,
O.K.---Kids and grandkids are spending the day at Lake Ponchartrain, I am working. Everyone is off and we will be grilling tomorrow. God bless all our service people, alive and dead.
I continue to accumulate shares of SIOR when I have a little extra money. I take the overtime when I can get it. It continues to diminish because of the restrictions of oil and gas drilling in the Gulf Of Mexico.
anser2477,
There is also the possibility that some of the wells in the Jonah field will be wet.
In 2009 the Jonah field was rated No. 7 out of the top 100 wet gas fields in the U.S.
See Table 2, Top 100 Wet Gas Fields in the attachment.

Cab,
Don't ya'll eat lizards in Europe? We eat all kinds of things over here.
Peter,
Since you are in the Phillipines you might be interested in a company called Nido Petroleum (NIDOF). There is a lot of information about them on their I-HUB board.
Good to have you here.
W.D.
I expect you are right. I had come across a document that labeled the Jonah field as being wet. It did not occur to me that the "wet" might vary a lot from area to area. It does make sense that GRPR leases might not be in a highly "wet" area since they are not drilling.
W.C.
Isn't the Jonah field wet gas?
Why would they need 4.50 gas price to make drilling feasible?
Thanks in advance.
I got one of those snail mailers yesterday.

TGS Nopec Geophysical Co. is shooting a 161 sq mile multiclient 3D seismic survey at Wellington in south-central Kansas to illuminate the Mississippi lime horizontal oil play.
The Sumner County survey complements the previously announced Bucklin survey is being acquired utilizing a high channel count Vibroseis crew. Final deliverable products will be processed through pre-stack time migration.
Another Planned LNG Export Terminal In LA
..........
HACKBERRY, La. (AP) -- Sempra Energy says it will develop a $6 billion liquefied natural gas export terminal at its existing import terminal at Hackberry in southwestern Louisiana.
It's the third LNG export terminal in the works for Louisiana. Cheniere Energy Inc. said late Monday that it has received permission from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to modify its import terminal at Sabine Pass in Cameron Parish for exports, making it the first large-scale U.S. gas exporter.
Energy Transfer Equity LP has filed for federal permission to build an export facility at its import terminal at Lake Charles.
The facilities will chill natural gas into a liquid that can be shipped on tankers and will allow U.S.-based producers to export natural gas to overseas markets for higher profits. A recent production boom has pushed U.S. natural gas prices to 10-year lows.
However, some politicians, chemical companies and other industry players argue that exporting natural gas will boost prices at home and increase energy costs.
San Diego-based Sempra said Tuesday that its Cameron LNG unit already has federal Energy Department permission to export up to 12 million tons a year of LNG — or 1.7 billion cubic feet per day —to countries with which the United States has a free trade agreement.
Sempra said Mitsubishi Corp. and Mitsui & Co. Ltd. have signed on as partners to develop and market the facility. If the project is approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Sempra said it expects construction to begin in late 2013 with exports starting in late 2016.
Dee,
Where are you? I, in Harvey, LA
Larry,
I own some DEJ also, primarily because of their Piceance Basin projects.
The 1.05 price target seems very low to me.

Oil from the Roberson "Brown Dense" well should sell at a premium because the well is around 15 miles from the city of ElDorado, Arkansas where there are several refineries.
O.T.
Brother-in-law says 450 bbl a day on the S. Arkansas "Brown Dense" well.
Dee,
I don't have a lot of shares but I'm holding them. I don't need the tax loss and it is not a loss until you sell.
I do remember Southwestern mentioning some experimentation with the frac's.
I am in with a small position.

Geo,
Are you following the Brown Dense activity in South Ark./North La?
This play is in it's infancy and I'm told land is still leasing for around $300 an acre. A few wells have been drilled but no one is talking production rates yet.
AS always I'm looking for a cheap oil company with a good land position. Do you know of any?
The Roberson in the attached article is my brother-in-law and he does not know rates on this well yet. I guess he will eventually when he gets a check.

Dee,
A number of things went wrong on our deep gas play: ran out of money before completing the well, fall off of gas prices, fact that there are no associated liquids. Gas prices will not stay this low forever. I still like natural gas long term.
There are other fish in the sea though. I am in several other plays at this time: would you believe there is a shortage of natural gas in Alaska, I recently bought some shares in BCGYF (Australian). They have a collar between $6.00 and $10.00 on their gas sales in Alaska. They have onshore and offshore leases around Cook Inlet and own their own Jack Up drilling rig.
I intend to start a small position with SIOR next week and add later if things develop properly. I have had bad luck going in too heavy with pinkies with a stop sign.
Hello Dee/Geo,
I am underwater a lot on the deep gas play.
It is time to put some money elsewhere so I will put a little here.
Guys,
I have a position in Sundance (SDCJF) that I bought a few years ago at .12 (now .70). I originally bought this stock for their early entry into the Bakken. They have since acquired land packages in the Niobrara and Missippian plays. They seem to be good at determining which areas to get into early before land prices get high.
I am not in SIOR today, I just discovered Geopressure and some other familiar people are here. I plan to pick up some SIOR next week.
Anybody here in Brownstone Energy? DEJ'S partner in the Rockies. They recently made a large oil discovery in Columbia and have other interest Offshore Israel and in Argentina in new shale plays.
If you look at the maps in the presentations on Pryme Energy's (POGLY) website you can see that the drilling of this play is moving East toward MNLU's acreage.
The North Bayou Jack field in Avoyelles parish LA is just across the river from MNLU lease in Wlkinson county Miss.

Geo,
Back in the early 80's I was working For Chevron in the False River area of the Tuscaloosa Trend drilling for natural gas. These wells were high pressure and very corrosive. They had a lot of problems with these wells, some blowouts. I don't think they had much of a selection of anti-corrosive tubing back then.
I just wonder if there is a corrosive issue in our well due to the Tuscaloosa zone we penetrated in drilling the BP#1?
Geo,
Glad to see you're still here.
Chevron plans to build a similar plant at the Pacagoula refinery.
Could be JGC Corp or Nippon. They both have oil and gas holdings in SE Louisiana.
Chilar,
I agree with you!
Not an aggregate total, just the 500 billion in the Bossier/Haynesville shale zone on the section tested.
I am in the offshore business and I see meters in all kinds of places. They do not have to be near the wellhead, sometimes it is more economical to do so.
Sub-sea wells like "Macondo" may have metering facilities 100 miles or more away. It just depends on where the flowline is going to (above water) and if the flow has to be metered before it is commingled with the flow from other wells (owners)so that each owner is paid the proper amount.
