A number of things went wrong on our deep gas play: ran out of money before completing the well, fall off of gas prices, fact that there are no associated liquids. Gas prices will not stay this low forever. I still like natural gas long term.

There are other fish in the sea though. I am in several other plays at this time: would you believe there is a shortage of natural gas in Alaska, I recently bought some shares in BCGYF (Australian). They have a collar between $6.00 and $10.00 on their gas sales in Alaska. They have onshore and offshore leases around Cook Inlet and own their own Jack Up drilling rig.

I intend to start a small position with SIOR next week and add later if things develop properly. I have had bad luck going in too heavy with pinkies with a stop sign.
