This board still alive?? HaHa. My shares still rotting away in my brokerage account.
Hope you are correct. All the best to him. Hard to know what to believe anymore, but hoping for the best for all concerned.
Maybe Starrs, Ken, and Zipmark have reconciled their differences, and are getting together to form the ultimate payment system company. They could call it "The Three Money Amigos."
I know. That is not even funny.
I still have a bunch of shares long here and kicking myself in the teeth every day for it.
I said long ago that ES had to be either off his rocker, and the biggest SOB in the world, or he is telling the truth. I still find it hard to believe that someone could be that nuts to engage all these people on social media only to scam them out of their money. I just can't comprehend that type of thinking. I guess that is why people like me can be scammed. We just try too hard to see the good in people. Lesson learned.
I've been long here for several years now--ever since the Cardinal Commerce announcement. Still have a few hundred thousand (shares) holding tight.
During the good run up to .08, I had enough to pay off my house with this, and I held. The price kept dropping, and I held. Massive dilution ensued, and I still held as the price kept dropping. Every time I make a house payment now, I want to kick myself in the teeth and throw myself into a den of rabid pit bulls. I have apologized to my wife several times over it.
I sold a few when we were still in the copper, enough to cover my investment and make a few bucks.
The biggest concern I have with all of this, is that there has always been, and continues to be, a lack of verifiable information that is somewhat easily accessible, as well as a huge disconnect between the CEO and shareholders.
Much of the information the CEO has shared has been unverifiable, and questionably genuine to put it kindly. If the CEO truly wanted to set the record straight, he could do so. I think if he would do this, everyone would gain from it--even if the information isn't all peaches and cream.
People could get behind this CEO if people knew for certain he is working hard to make things better. Mixing words and leading people on about financials, project deadlines, and such, has destroyed shareholder confidence, and has all but made certain that others are now afraid to invest their hard earned money in this endeavor.
I do not believe in kicking someone when they are down, but the CEO has dug a deep hole, and the long term holders are running out of breathable air at the bottom of it.
I could go on, but no point in doing so.
I still hope things are not as bad as they seem, but.......
I used to share your optimism. It is going to take some doing by MEC for me to get it back. I hold a sizeable long position still, but not confident at this point about anything.
Best of luck to you. Sincerely.
No offense but that sounds like something GMtech would have said.
Just like political speeches, interested parties should be looking in press releases for words like IS and HAS. I have learned to ignore words like "expects" "expects to" "plans to" "is aimed to" etc. Even the word "will" is off my radar now until it happens. Especially with MYEC/MEC. IMHO.
Points well taken; yet, the CTs still trade. Why??? That is the question of the decade to which we all hope to get a good answer once all is said and done.
GLTA
Truth.
I used to defend this guy, and used to say he would have to be psychotic to say the things he was saying on FB and not be true. I truly thought he was a sincere person trying to break into a trillion dollar industry with disruptive technology. The patent on the electronic check was very alluring.
As it turns out, none of the things he has claimed has come to pass. At this point, unless proven otherwise, I think the guy is nuts.
Regardless, I will try to keep an open mind and not judge to harshly until it all plays out.
This being said, I continue to hold a long position to the bitter end.
GLTA
Buy on rumor, sell on news. That is all that will happen.
You win the prize of the day! Best post! Don't forget "soon."
When did the definition of "guarantee" change?
"an assurance that another’s obligation will be fulfilled, or something presented as such security"
A guarantee is a guarantee. The rest is BS.
I guess I'm thinking more like a consumer than an investor. Been a long day. GL
I'm not going to get into this because I don't have the time. I will say this, people better take of their blinders before it's too late--if not already. Rant over.
I wish we lived in your world. I've seen to much in my 50 or so years. No CEO is going to tell you the truth. They will sugar coat everything and protect themselves in the disclaimer.
You are kidding right? Who would loan $500K? Key words: "up to." One dollar meets the definition of "up to" $500,000.
I've been long since the announcement of that company, what was it, Cardinal Commerce? Forever and a day ago.
Anyway, I don't believe a word out of this guys mouth until something concrete materializes. Not one word.
I'll sell ya mine for $25 apiece, then you can cash in on the interest and dividends when this all wraps up! THAT's a deal partner! ;)
You seem to have positive sentiment about this company, and an understanding of what is going on here. I have tried to maintain a positive outlook myself, but continue to get beat down by repeated inconsistencies by the CEO. That is putting it mildly.
I still hold a significant long position just to be clear.
But, I wish you or someone could explain to me HOW Simplifile can apparently transact in the U.S., but apparently no one else can?????
I would not even begin to know where to look to find the answer to this question.
A run to .08 sounds pretty good about now. I have lowered my standards :|
Got that sh!+ right! Well said.
Yep. Can't argue with that. Longs (like me) have endured this repeatedly. Start something, issue a PR, then nothing materializes. No more defending ES until something solid materializes.
I've never figured this one out. All these supposed businesses getting on board over the years, then nothing materializes; BUT, there has been one constant that reportedly has been using MYEC/MEC for years--Simplifile. They have continued to grow and they have continued to use our system, as best as we can tell anyway. Someone out there has to be on our side, right? Some bank? Simplifile has been constant, regardless of the small revenues. Doesn't make sense. If Simplifile can transact, why can't these other businesses. I'll say it again. Doesn't make sense.
Ha Ha! I will, but it will probably take me longer than a few days. This has been and still is only a lottery ticket for me. Bankruptcy law is not my area of expertise. Not even close. But, I am a quick learner ;). Thanks for all the info both current and past. I have been watching this from afar since I bought in to the bankruptcy back in 07/08.
I have the following:
LEHKQ
LHHMQ
LEHPQ
LEHMQ
GLTA
"Response: The Trust Preferred Securities were issued by the non-Debtor entities identified above (the “Trusts”). Based on relevant prospectuses, the sole assets of the Trusts were certain
subordinated debt securities (the “Subordinated Securities”) issued by Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (“LBHI”). Under the Plan, claims against LBHI on account of the Subordinated Securities have been classified in LBHI Class 10B. Based on the 2013+ Cash Flow Estimates filed on July 23, 2013 [ECF No. 38954], it is unlikely that the Trusts will receive any Distributions from LBHI on account of their class 10B claims. LBHI is not aware of any other assets currently owned or
expected to be realized by the Trusts."
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see anything good here at all.
Yeah, ok.
I'm with ya Taurus, but I'm just not feelin it right now. Neither are the stock traders and shareholders, which is why this thing is in the bottom of the tank right now.
I can't figure out what is keeping Starrs from filing bankruptcy again. If he and the Co. are as broke as we think???? I don't know why in the world I did not turn loose of this turd at .08. Kicking myself every day. Would not have been able to retire, but could have paid off my mortgage which in itself could have been a life changer. #$#@#$#@#$%^%$#@#. Good luck.
I'm not completely sold that the whole thing is a scam, but I have come to believe that you and those in your corner are probably more right than wrong. Unfortunately. I never thought I'd say this to you, but good luck ;)
Imagining .0015 to 1.00 has cost some seemingly misled shareholders a lot of money. Myself included. While my remaining holdings are free and clear so to speak, because I had enough caution to sell a few in the pennies, I missed an opportunity to make a significant profit because of the misinformation spewed out of Starrs' mouth. I'm still holding for the duration, but I don't believe a word out of his mouth.
I've never understood why there was never an equity committee put together to represent applicable shareholder interests. I understand that there has been debate about the TRUPS, with regards to which class they actually reside, but geez. 10 years and still in limbo??? I would have never believed as big as Lehman was that it would just fade into oblivion. If they had filed chapter 7 I never would have even bothered with it, but they filed for chapter 11--which normally would mean reorganization. But, like I said, way over my head.
They must have really had some enemies in DC. One for sure was the former Treasury Secretary, AKA former Goldman VIP.
Hi Jersey. I have posted a few times, but this one is over my head which is why I rarely post. I have followed the LEH message boards since 07/08 when the bankruptcy happened. I followed all the fluff put on the "Lehman Lotto" site. Before that, I bought a few of the commons, the P series, and the K TRUPS and the HH TRUPS. Yes, it was just a hail mary/lottery ticket. I may seem like a stranger, but I have followed this weekly now for what, 10 years? Seems like this is taking forever.
MYEC was a great idea in theory, but the CEO has turned out to be a shady character (based on his actions over the past few years) although he is still posting progress reports on the MEC Facebook page. He had what appeared to be the only patent on a fully electronic check. Somehow the patent lapsed, and it is unclear if it is still in force. I bought a bunch of shares back when the stock was at near rock bottom .0007. It made a good run to .08 and through my ignorance and good faith (and admittedly greed) I held thinking the potential was much greater. I had enough to pay for my house if I had turned some loose when it made the run. A good friend of mine bought a ton of it, and turned it loose right before the run. He would have had nearly a million dollars worth of it had he held just a few more weeks and sold. He was nearly suicidal (not really, but...just sayin). I did have enough sense to get rid of a few while it was still in the pennies. I made a few bucks so what I have left are free and clear shares so to speak. Full disclosure. Truth.
Best of luck to you.
I think it all depends on who actually owns the CTs. If they are owned by a large number of important people, or entities, there may be a chance for some recovery. If they are only owned by average Joes who acquired them by buying a boat load of lottery tickets when the stocks went into the toilet (bankruptcy play), then psst. Not a chance in hell.
Personally, no offense to anyone, but I've believed that these have been played like a pump an dump scheme. Enough misinformation is put out there to entice people to buy this junk, while those in the background try to milk as much as they can get while they can get it; and, when the #scum finally think it's dried up, these will just be wiped clean from the market, and all the posts and messages will just disappear. Average Joe will be holding the bag and left with nothing. I'm still hanging on to what I have, but that is what I really feel at this point. JMHO until proven otherwise. Eyes wide open.
Best post I have ever seen on ihub. Article nails it on the head, but does not offer a solution how to fix it. This beast is not too big to fail, BUT, it is too big to fix. Anyone that tries to fix it is probably disappeared into oblivion (at the bottom of a river).
Been long since the last time this turd was in the trips. Not holding my breath. I will never resort to negativity, which is why I rarely post anymore because I don't have anything good to say about this. My biggest mistake was not understanding that it is apparently not against the law to mislead people in press releases and on social media for personal gain. I have found this to be true across the board in politics and in the stock market, not just here in MYEC land. In fact, a well respected Senator said, publicly, during an interview on TV, "If issuing a misleading press release were against the law we'd all be in trouble." I have no faith in anything this corrupt system says. The entire country, and world, is making a good living on lies strapped on the backs of working people. Rant over. GLTA.
Sure seems that way.
If I were him I would get rid of every mirror in my house, because I would not be able to look at myself. People were hurt buying into this stock. And that is not funny no matter which side of the fence one is on. His shenanigans have been a nothing short of a disgrace. Although I made a few bucks overall, and all my current holdings are free and clear, I was stupid for not selling at .07-.08. I have learned some hard lessons playing around with these penny stocks:
1. Pigs get fat
2. Hogs get slaughtered
3. News releases from any source can be inherently fraudulent, and no one is held accountable
4. There is no law against white collar crime. They may be there, but they are selectively enforced on the little guy
5. Lastly, msg. boards are full of liars and low-life sh!t sucking scum fockers, but there are a few good folks around just trying to make some money.
I could go on but I'll stop now.
I hope the folks that were harmed by this BS can somehow find justice in it all. GLTA. Tech
Yep. EOM.
If this were a horse race I would have to think we bet on the wrong horse. My 300k shares are free and clear. Holding till the bitter end, whatever that may turn out to be. This whole thing smells to high heaven. The fact that ES is not in jail leads me to believe...I don't know what to believe frankly. Good luck.
Financials coming "soon!" I'm holding my breath, so you guys please let me know when they are available so I can breath again :)
Not funny.
