Lowman and Blue Bunny vouching for him doesn't quite do it for me. Now if Reazo, Badge or Kels met or knew him, I would take that as the end of the mystery.
Even if he was real, was he a paid shill on the KAA payroll or just a small investor that got taken like the rest of us? He just faded away without admitting being totally wrong in his adamant defense of KAA all those years.
Badge - the mystery about BigMur was whether he was a real person or just a shill played by KAA or HMGP on the message boards. Look back to Post 51246 and follow the thread of replies between the old gang.
What is your take on BM, he was real or a facade?
It's been a while since i checked in on this board. Very interesting find with the Weatherford address by USC and the real estate tax address confirmation posted by tolduso. I would remain skeptical simply because Keith and Anderson are very common names.
The voice recognition did make me take notice although I still think it could be a close resemblance only.
KAA had a pattern of doing the public company promo and burn shareholder routine, he is not a dumb person. He would not likely buy and register a house under his own name, imho.
It also appears the BigMur mystery remains unsolved.
Track- I tried to place a limit order with my online broker today just to see what happened. The broker is Fidelity, a major player. This is the info I got back when trying to buy 10000 shares at 0.0001 each:

Try this test with your broker and tell us what you see... Sure looks like a suspended / inactive / dead stock symbol to me.
Are you blind or message board challenged? My post had a hyper link in it you could simply "mouse over" and click. That bit of cyber magic opens up a new webpage with the original post showing links to the SEC documents from Feb. 2014. They show the temporary suspension of trading in Hemi stock... I would be shocked if somehow HMGP was able to meet the continuing listing requirements and got removed from this SEC suspension.
Hi Sneaky, and Hi Kels. Glad you posted back with that info. I would have sworn that you and BM made that KS roadshow together, but now you say he cancelled out at last minute. Very suspicious.
Maybe Reazo still drops in here for a read now and then, would like his take on BM. I know Reazo visited KAA at the stockyards and maybe went to KS, but I don't remember if he ever met Kels or BM.
Has anyone here ever met BigMur in person?
How about Craig Trieber, he would know about BM I am sure.
you can't even trade HMGP anymore, the SEC has removed them from being traded...

If they are in a taxable account, call your broker, they can have them officially removed as a worthless stock and then you can claim it as a sell at $0 and take the write off on your taxes.
If you're like me and have some in an IRA / Roth, I am just holding them as a reminder to not buy pink sheet stocks again.
I thought for the longest time there was a very real possiblilty that BigMur (BM) and Kelsey were the same person. The vocab and writing styles were so different though that it would have taken a genius to keep up that charade over the course of 2+ years.
Kels - I know you have come to see KAA for what he was/is, a lying and larcenous man who's only goal was to fleece small investors out of their money.
I don't think BM ever came to that conclusion, he defended KAA to the end and then just silently went away, kinda like KAA.
My memories of this fiasco keep fading over time, thank goodness, but did you actually see BM and KAA in the same room at the same time Kels?
A couple months or so from now Zion will have the oil.
Are they going shopping at Wal*Mart and picking up a case of Pennzoil?
He sure don't look like 4th Generation Oil Patch.... More like 3rd Generation Shyster....
I don't believe in momentum / technical trading.... But - having said that, anyone who buys into Zion should do so only as a trader trying to take advantage of these short term trends. The company has zero fundamental reasons why anyone should be a long term holder imo until they prove they can do more than hold leases/ issue stock/warrants and poke a few dry holes every 3 to 5 years.
what do you mean?
No, No
and the wackiness that is HMGP ratchets up a couple notches after reading your post USC. My gut feeling is that Virginia was not KAA but not sure of the angle she was playing either. Her supposed securities compliance background and the questions she was asking did not seem to jive very well.
I was in the o/g business for 10 years myself in the 80's and this kind of stuff happened a lot, there were a lot of crooks in the business. For her TX o/g friend to state that "His initial response was that he had never heard of such conduct in the Oil industry and was shocked" makes me suspect that this was going to get us any new info on KAA / HMGP.
My gut feeling is that KAA has taken all the money he could get out of HMGP and has been involved in some kind of gold / precious metals / mining stock promotion the last 3 years. That was the hot pink sheet action until gold crashed a couple months ago.
that should be interesting, can't wait until you post USC.... It would be nice to get resolution and even prosecution of what exactly happened to the assets.
I watched this one a long time, it smelled even worse than HMGP so fortunately I never put a dime into this one.
That was a funny reply tho Badge, Gomer Pyle was not what I expected that link to take me to.
I watched that interview many times when I first started investigating HMGP. I did a google search and did not find the archived video anymore but found this info about it. Maybe someone with more time can take this and find the actual video file somewhere...

If BO gets re-elected, the Moocher class becomes the majority and all hope for the USA surviving is lost. Financial Armageddon within 2 years, will make the Great Depression seem like the "good old days". Once the successful business people move on or give up, all is lost.
With Romney, the only chance is that he can communicate the dire straits we as a nation are in and try and smooth out the rough road ahead that while painful, allows the country and the freedom and economic model we were founded on to survive. We will need buyin by the public and as you state, engagement from the private and public sectors to try and fix this big mess.
I am planning my escape path out of the US for my family if BO gets back in power, I will not want to be part of this nor do I want my family in it.
Who is John Galt?
Hello Dee,
The 31 day window is the IRS rule for buying back stock you sell at a loss to avoid the wash sale rule. You cannot take the capital loss if you replace your position inside that 31 day window.
As far as fund raising, I think the re-pricing of the warrants is step 1. Depending on how many exercise at the lower price will determine how much they need to raise in step 2, which will probably be another stock offering (most likely with more warrants as a carrot).
Now that the SP is significantly below the warrant re-price amount, that source of revenue raise is closed unless the SP recovers. Not likely in the short term after the Russell Index re-balance happens. Why exercise warrants at $1.75 when you can buy the stock at $1.65 (or less)?
Well we spiked up nicely upon addition to the index if my memory serves me correctly, so it is very likely we will fall as we are culled out.
Falling oil prices, world wide economic slowdown and Zion exploration shut down for 1+ years it seems on the rig merger news. Dead money so people are running into something else.
I don't need any more tax loss selling right now but if you do have gains to offset, seems prudent to sell Zion and buy back in 31 days if you still want to own this company.
I think I'll wait until the drill bit, logging and testing of their first well proves up the commercial oil field they are bragging about. Their quotes only allude to the fact that their "survey" found commercial oil and gas... Sounds like they are putting a lot of faith in their seismic, if that is what their "survey" is referring to...
Time will tell, but i smell hype here on this story from Modiin Energy and Adira Energy.
Nice summary Loblaw, i put in only money i could afford to lose almost 2 yrs ago when the story seemed compelling. After the 2 dry holes in what should be their best seismic mapped prospects, it does not warrant further money, at least not from me, until they prove they can find some hydrocarbons.
Buying their own rig seems to be a wasted effort too, maybe they think they got better odds of making revenue off of becoming a drilling contractor than finding commercial o or g ???
and at about $3.50 each instead of the $5 they've been doing...
Rainman - while your math may be correct, your science is not. With today's MWD technology (measurement while drilling) and downhole steerable mud motors, they can very accurately determine where the bit is at in relation to the surface entry point.
It's also a requirement in the U.S. and I assume in Israel also, that any deviated well runs a directional survey after TD, it can be a wireline based tool or other means.
If you give a good drilling crew a fossil target to hit at a certain x,y,z downhole location, they will hit it.
If they didn't drill deep enough, its not because they lost track of where the bit stopped.
Most of the potential hydrocarbon reserves are indeed offshore but there are economic onshore resources of both oil and gas, with oil being more likely onshore than it is offshore.
If I am reading the tables correctly, the onshore concessions that Zion holds would fall under the sediment type called Levant
Margin Reservoirs AU in the document.

why didn't you just post the newsletter or provide the link to share?
Manti - you are dead on correct, this never was a viable company, way too much overhead to take the company to profitability on these types of leases. The economics were not there from the o/g side, but they were from the investment side for the officers and employees of Hemi. It was good while it lasted, for them ....
As someone who worked in the oil patch for 10 years and actually owned and operated my own stripper lease, it didn't take me long to realize KAA was a master PR man, not a master oilman.
The meager assets are gone, the leases have been sold or expired, what's left here is just a shell company, a pipe dream for those still holding HMGP shares, no pun intended.
Due to this big SP drop and timing of the new "rights offering" (read dilution and capital raising), I am now 98% convinced this well is P&A bound.
Anyone here holding out hope that this latest well can become commercial???
Wonder how long Zion will be able to raise money if they don't make something happen soon as far as a discovery. With the large amount of land they hold and the seismic analysis, you would think these wells they've drilled would have been the best of the best drill locations. Doesn't bode well to me for future success. Maybe that's why the major o/g companies have not done much in these locations. Offshore seems to be where the hydrocarbons are trapped.
thanks for your comment MM2B, you've been here a long time too. It's just odd to me that BM never came around like Kels did once the company died and our investment is lost.
Does anyone remember Mur posting anything to that effect, that in the end we have been had by KAA?
Maybe Mur made his money on the short so he was happy with the outcome????
Kels / REAZO , what do you think about Mur???
It's been a long time since I posted here, but follow the board from time to time just to see how this saga turns out. As someone with 10 years in the o/g industry in North Central TX, I first got into Hemi when they were based out of Graham, TX - close to my old stomping grounds. I had 200k shares or so at one time, and this was when Hemi was selling for 8 to 25 cents a share. Now just about 30k left in IRA so its not worth selling as I get no tax write off.
It didn't take me long to see the finances just wasn't adding up, the KGS posted production figures and the KAA PR's were so out of alignment that I became an early critic of the company.
My main reason for writing today is that one of the most visible posters has not been heard from or hardly mentioned in the last many months. What is the speculation behind BigMur? Kels , BigMur and I had many back and forth "debates" over this Hemi company but Kels did realize eventually that KAA played a masterful shell game. Where did Mur go? Was there really a person named Mur, could it have been KAA? I often wondered that. REAZO, Kels, did you ever have Mur and KAA in the same room at the same time?
Oh and Hello CT (Tul13), its been a while since we last chatted. Hope you and family are doing well.
Very good, thank you for providing the info and the link. Let's hope for some nice reservoir rock saturated in hydrocarbons being penetrated by the bit. Oil would of course would be preferred but a nice NG pool onshore would be okay as well...
Just takes considerably longer to bring NG to market than it does oil, and the price differential definitely is in oil's favor.
Price moving up, good news leaking out or just normal speculation as well gets close to TD???
No Friday drilling update yet, Tortman , is there not one posted yet or have you just not had time to check the SEC site? I have tried to find those 8-K's on that site and always run into a dead end.
I for one will just be glad to finally get this well to TD and get the well logged and tested. It's not looking good for Zion to have so many drill related problems, on this well and the prior one. I am sure the geology is challenging but wells are drilled all over the world in much tougher rock than this and others seem to get through.

Sonde Resources Corp. Announces Test Results from Its Zarat North-1 Appraisal Well, Offshore Tunisia
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 11, 2011) - Sonde Resources Corp. ("Sonde") (TSX:SOQ) (NYSE Amex:SOQ) announced today that it has completed drilling and production testing of its inaugural well on the 7th of November Block, offshore Tunisia / Libya, the Zarat North-1 appraisal (the "Well"), in which Sonde owns a 100% working interest.
Jack Schanck, Sonde's President and CEO, said "We are very pleased with the robust test results from this well, and the thickness of the hydrocarbon column, which was about twice that originally estimated for this location. Our near-term engineering studies will include reviewing the use of horizontal wells for developing the field, which may result in significantly higher production rates and recoverable reserves per well given the high quality of reservoir rock encountered."
Drilled vertically to a depth of 9,728 feet, the Well encountered 240 net feet of pay in the Eocene El Gueria limestone. The Well was cased to total depth and three production tests were performed through 2 ¼" diameter test string, from 42 feet above the water contact to 177 feet above the water contact. All three tests flowed substantial quantities of gas and condensate, with Test 2 observing sustained ratesapproximately750 barrels of condensate and8 million cubic feet of gas per day and peak condensate rates as high as 1,100 barrels per day. Tests 1 and 3 observed sustained rates of approximately 600 barrels of condensate per day and gas ranging from 8 - 11.5 million cubic feet of gas per day. All tests produced water ranging from 200-350 barrels per day, which included both drilling fluids and formation water; water was decreasing and oil increasing throughout the tests. Sonde is actively assessing test data to determine key reservoir characteristics including porosity, permeability, water saturation and gas composition.
Located 2 kilometers (1.25 miles) northeast of the Marathon Zarat-1 discovery and 3 km (1.9 miles) northeast of the Zarat-2 appraisal, the Well encountered gas / oil and oil / water contacts at the same structural elevation as the Marathon wells, confirms a significantextension to the previously-proven accumulation, and suggests that an economically-viable, near-term development may be possible. By comparison with Sonde's results, the Marathon Zarat-1 well observed rates of 457 barrels of condensate plus 5.3 million cubic feet of gas per day in a first test, and 1,181 barrels of condensate plus 15.1 million cubic feet of gas per day in a second test.
Management is reviewing recoverable reserve scenarios, development options and cost estimates for development of the Zarat field, andwill investigate unitization optionswith PA Resources, which holds a portion of the field immediately to the south of the 7th of November Block. In addition, Sonde is studying development financing and monetization options, including selling interests to one or more potential partners for the project.
Sonde will temporarily abandon the Well in a manner allowing it to be utilized for future development purposes.
Sonde Resources Corp. is a Calgary, Alberta, Canada based diversified global energy company engaged in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas and in the development of a liquefied natural gas ("LNG") project. Its operations are located in Western Canada, offshore Trinidad and Tobago and North Africa. See Sonde Resources' website at www.sonderesources.com to review further detail on Sonde Resources' operations.
LOL Badge - that's about the way I see it too. I can't wait for REAZO to somehow try and put a good spin on this KAA disappearance from all things HEMI... Longs still maintain hope that some of the lease assets of HEMI will be good enough to recoup their investments, if KAA cannot even be found, what does that tell you about any assets that may still be under corporate holdings???
B
