"we will no longer be able to have all the benefits
of white privilege"
Ok. Sooooo what "White Privilege" benefits are you going to gracefully give up?
How about the privilege of being able to go to your chosen job or to a movie without an armed bodyguard?
The privilege of being able to go to a grocery store without going through a metal detector?
The right to live in a home that isn't protected by high walls topped with barbed wire around it?
The right to go to the mall without having to hire a guard to watch your car while you are inside.
I personally don't want to give all that up. I mean I served this country in the Army so I wouldn't have to. I mean I did my part.
Right now I live in a small county in the sand hills of North Florida. There are 8,351 taxpayers on the real estate rolls. There are 8 deputies and 1 Sheriff. 95% of the population owns more than one firearm. I once shot a squirrel out of the tree 40 feet from my bedroom window with my trusty S&W 44 mag. Took his head clean off. Made squirrel stew. The neighbors don't mind.
We had a murder about 5 years ago. Out of town drug dealers having a difference of opinion while passing through. The fire station is right across the street. About 8 or so years ago, my next door neighbor's house burned to the ground and nobody came to put it out. When I complained to the County Manager, he tossed me the keys to the fire station and said the Fire College is down in Ocala.
I am now a Firefighter/Paramedic ALS, ACLS, PALS. Certified in wildfires (current Red Card), house fires, vehicle extractions. That would be cutting people out of cars that are folded up around them. Don't get paid for anything I do in the county but the neighbors house is safer now. Assuming I or one of the other volunteers are in town when it catches fire.
What part of those "White Privilege" benefits do you want me to give up?
Please define what you mean when you say Substance?
Oh. I forgot.
500 police officers in Chattanooga. That means about 166 on duty at any given time including desk cops and admin.

Win the argument if you like and sleep well my friend.
This is what he said
On Monday's The Laura Ingraham Show, Patrick, who is also the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, said from 2008 to 2012, 143,000 illegal immigrant criminals were arrested and jailed in Texas. He said these were "hardened criminals, gang members, and other criminals that we identified as being in Texas illegally."
"We charged them with 447,000 crimes, a half-million crimes in four years, just in Texas, including over 5,000 rapes and 2,000 murders," Patrick said. "We estimate we have 100,000 gang members here illegally."
You provided the link. You can listen to the clip if you like.
Remember, Ft worth has about 400 police officers on duty at any given time.
Sleep well my friend.
Would you be happy if we had taken Ronald Reagan
To the steps of the Us Embassy in Iran and cut his head off?
Oh...That might have been a problem since the Iranians were occupying the US Embassy at the time.
Stephanie
If the Data is from Texas, does that make it a lie? Does it make the information not important?
Get your head around what is in the data. Google How many police officers in your hometown?
Dallas is a big town and only has 3,511 police officers. That means that only about 1,000 are on duty at any given time.
Are you going to feel safe there when there are 10 times as many gang members carrying guns in Dallas as police officers? 50 times as many?
Oh and just for thought when you begin to think Texas is just being a crybaby over their immigration problems, The Texas border with Mexico is 1,254 miles. That works out to 1 national Guard soldier every 1.2 miles. Sleep well tonite.

You need to keep up
In 1996, the United States and Iran reached "an agreement in full and final settlement of all disputes, differences, claims, counterclaims" relating to the incident at the International Court of Justice, including a recognition of the incident in the form of "...the United States recognized the aerial incident of 3 July 1988 as a terrible human tragedy and expressed deep regret over the Loss of lives caused by the incident...".[8] As part of the settlement, the United States did not admit legal liability but agreed to pay on an "ex gratia" basis US$61.8 million, amounting to $213,103.45 per passenger, in compensation to the families of the Iranian victims.

And the 100,000 armed criminal aliens are just the ones you know about and just the one state. Are you beginning to see the magnitude of the problems they will create?
No Stephanie. We are not changing.
We just see things differently. My only problem is I lived these times before far far away. I was told that I was doing it there so I would never have to see it in my own country.
Now I see it happening here and I am not happy about it.
Mostly I am unhappy that the people who can make a difference are taking the cover story hook line and sinker. That includes the ones in power. They know not what they do.
You won't recognize this country in a decade. That is to say if this country still exists.
So you and I read the same article
You get that the Senator is either lying or he didn't say it at all but was quoted as saying it by Laura Ingram.
I get that the Senator appeared on Laura's program and made the statement himself.
You get that the numbers he was quoting were from a different month and thus what he was saying was a lie.
I get that what difference does a month make if the numbers are true?
You get that the numbers are false because they include criminal aliens who have visas.
I have to ask, How many criminal aliens get visas to travel and live in this country as a % of the total who are coming here? I will tell you. If you have a criminal record, you don't get a visa.
When was Vietnam? forty years ago or so? ..hasn't anything changed?
Well, actually, what is going on now is classic CIA circa '50's and '60's. It is in the book and, while it was written in the '70's by L. Fletcher Prouty, his CIA background and explaination nails the Vietnam War. I was there right before he wrote the book and saw it with my very eyes.
Let your mind wander with me for a few moments. Try to picture what I will be talking about. Put yourself in picture and look at what is going on around you.
You live in a village. You raise rice and catch fish from the river about a mile away. You have no real education to speak of other than what you learn from the elders of the village. That is pretty much your life. There are no cars. No motorcycles, no horses. You and generations of other of your villagers live your entire lives and travel no farther from your home than you can walk carrying the food you will need for the round trip. In our terms, that pretty much means you and yours have been limited to about 25-50 miles in any direction.
There are explorer types who grow up and leave but they usually never return. Now expand the scale to an entire country of peoples who do not travel per se and you have oddities like dialects. Your language is customized to your village. The next village, a two day walk, has some minor differences but you can still communicate when you have to. The next village over from them is even more different and the next even more. After you get about a hundred miles or so away, the dialects are so different that understanding is completely lost.
Now move 100,000 armed refugees from 300 or 500 miles away into your area. No food. No money. Can't speak your language. But they have guns and children to feed and you have food.............
Now wrap your head around they were sent there. Forced to uproot and run by people who have other more worldly designs on your homeland.
C'mon Stephanie
I said that to you. It was my personal thought and there is nothing to cut & paste about it. You should slow down a bit and take the time to absorb and think about what you read.
Stephanie
Read that link you gave me again.
It is filled with statements like
But the definition of "alien" in the report includes all individuals who are not U.S. citizens or residents, regardless of whether they entered the country legally or illegally.
the center reported in May that ICE officials released 36,007 convicted “criminal aliens” in 2013. These individuals were released while “awaiting the outcome of deportation proceedings” or afterward, according to the report. Of the 36,007 individuals, 193 had homicide convictions.
In his remarks, Patrick seems to mix up figures from the May report from the Center for Immigration Studies with numbers from an earlier report. The Patrick campaign did not respond to several requests for clarification about this claim.
Bottom line is there is no actual denial of the numbers. All they do is shout FALSE!! and then nit pick the numbers with a woefully inadequate argument. Like of the 36,007 individuals released only 196 were convicted murderers. And worse yet, claiming the Senator was quoting from the wrong month's report.
Be careful what you read Stephanie. These people are professional spinners. Deny, Deny, Deny, until the truth, when it does come out doesn't matter any more.
My personal feelings are if it is so bad in those countries that refugees are flooding our borders, why aren't we hearing about those problems from anyone other than the administration mouthpieces who are opening the borders? Also, why in _ell would we be importing the very criminals the people are running from?
Read the article again
It clearly says that the Tx State Senator while on the Laura Ingram Show said 100,000 armed alien gang members are in Tx right now.
I personally do not want to go there and count them. You shouldn't either. What you should do is study the results of moving large numbers of armed refugees from one country to another.
These people have to feed themselves and, without gameful employment, they will TAKE what they need. Survival of the fittest. If there are hundreds of thousands of them, like there were in Vietnam, the country will end up breaking up over it.
Read the book I suggested.
Hundreds of thousands of organized armed criminals
Is the kind of thing that breaks up a country. Ask any one of the Central and South American states that have to deal with cartels that are much smaller than that. Most of those countries don't have Posse Comitadis to deal with.
I say hundreds of thousands because there are already a hundred thousand in Texas alone and they have setup recruiting stations in the Border Patrol "Welcome Stations".
Stephanie, I have been to war zones. I speak from tired old eyes.
May I recommend a rare old book. It will scare you because you will see the subject matter going on all the time.
The book is The CIA, JFK, and Vietnam. It was written by the purported "Deep Throat" of Watergate fame.
I fear for the republic
When 100,000 armed, organized, gang members are allowed into the country.
This is the kind of thing that can result in the breakup of the country. If you don't believe it, look at Gaza.
So,
Does the US allow a violent armed militia of American Citizens to thrive?
100,000 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT GANG MEMBERS IN STATE OF TEXAS
Hours before Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced he would send National Guard troops to the border, Texas state Senator Dan Patrick said there are at least 100,000 illegal immigrant gang members in the state.
Patrick also observed during his trips to the border and detention centers that many of the "young children" are teenagers and with parents and family members. He said there is a concern that some are "gang members" and that potential terrorists can exploit the porous border.
In addition to the public safety threat, Patrick also discussed the strain on local schools and other public resources and accused the Obama administration of luring more illegal immigrants to the country after unilaterally enacting the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. He also accused the Obama administration of "sweeping human beings under the rug" by putting illegal immigrants on buses to cities across America and releasing children to adults who may not be their family members. Patrick also said Border Patrol agents have found "hundreds and hundreds of dead bodies on our side of the border" as more migrants try to trek to the United States hoping to get amnesty from Obama.
Noting that 60,000 illegal immigrant children have been apprehended since October of last year, Patrick said that law enforcement officials told him that somewhere between one in five and one in 10 illegal immigrants are actually caught, which means there could be at least five times as many illegal immigrants who have snuck into the state.
"You do the math," Patrick said. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/07/21/Texas-State-Senator-100-000-Illegal-Immigrant-Gangsters-in-State

Cartels suspected as high-caliber gunfire sends Border Patrol scrambling on Rio Grande
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/07/20/cartels-suspected-as-high-caliber-gunfire-sends-border-patrol-scrambling-on-rio/
EXCLUSIVE: RINCON PENINSULA, Texas -- U.S. Border Patrol agents on the American side of the Rio Grande were forced to take cover Friday night when high-caliber weaponry was fired at them from the Mexican side of the river, sources told FoxNews.com.
The weapons were fired at the U.S. side of the riverbank in the area of the Rincon Peninsula across the Rio Grande from Reynosa, Mexico, at about 8:30 p.m., sources said. Bullets ricocheted into an area where Border Patrol agents were positioned, Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, told FoxNews.com.
Border Patrol sources confirmed Gohmert's account, and said the shots may have been fired by .50-caliber weapons.
"We don't have any armor that can stop a .50-caliber round, so our Border Patrol agents had to take cover when the rounds were richocheting around them," said Gohmert, who has been in the area for the last week to get a first-hand look at the border situation.
"When the shooting stopped, about 40 to 50 people came out on the U.S. side and turned themselves in. So clearly the rounds were being fired to suppress every effort to stop anybody intervening with anyone or anything coming across," Gohmert added. "We have no idea what or how many or whom came across with the other illegal immigrants."
Sources said they believe the gunfire came from members of Mexican drug cartels, which include former military members trained in shooting that type of weaponry.
Border Patrol sources said the rounds were clearly identifiable because .50- caliber weapons make a distinctive noise when fired. Sources said they also believe this is the first time that Border Patrol agents have taken direct fire from the Mexican side of the river in this area.
"I don't know why we're out here like sitting ducks," one Border Patrol source said. "We need help."
As of Saturday evening, a Border Patrol spokesman did not immediately return FoxNews.com's request for comment.
The Rio Grande sector has been the busiest part of the 2,000-mile border with Texas in recent months as a surge of illegal immigrants, many from Central America, has poured in to the U.S. in the mistaken belief that U.S. policy allows for them to remain in America once they make it in. More than 60,000 unaccompanied children had crossed in the last nine months. But Border Patrol officials have warned that the deluge has left the border largely unattended, and vulnerable to cartel infiltration.
See what happens when you open your borders
And allow large groups of foreigners into your country? It changes the face of things.

Which is why you should also agree with the Republican push to secure the borders and stop the influx before giving O'Bummer those billions he is asking for.
Correction
That works out to 42,612,996 - 1200 / 60 / 60 / 21 = 563.54 miles per second, every second of every minute of every hour of every day.
I wasn't traveling at the speed of light.
But you are correct in that I neglected to account for the 21 hour time period in my calculations of the urine trail. I caught it in time for the edit and works out to 621,390 miles long.
Fun with numbers
Everybody reading this went the same 42,612,996 miles less the 1,200 miles I drove during that same period of time.
That works out to 42,612,996 - 1200 / 60 / 60 / 21 = 563.61 miles per second, every second of every minute of every hour of every day.
Einstein said everything is relative.
Does that mean that, when I stopped for a bathroom break, a 1 minute urination left a trail of urine 621390 miles across the universe?
Taking it easy today.
Thursday I drove from Trenton, Fl to Nashville, TN and back in 21 hours flat. 1200 miles.
That is two trips through both Atlanta and Chattanooga. Other than those two cities it was incredibly long uneventful interstate driving.
One tends to allow the mind to wander. How far did I really travel on Thursday?
Driving- 1,200 miles.
21/24ths of a revolution of the earth- 21,000 miles.
1/365th of an orbit around the sun- 1,686,996 miles.
21 hours of orbit around the Milky Way Galaxy @ 168 miles per second or 604,800 miles per hour - 12,700,800 miles.
21 hours of Milky Way movement through space @ 1,300,000 miles per hour - 27,300,000 miles.
Extra Credit.
Relative motion in local group of stars. We are moving within the local group of stars towards the star Vega in this part of the Milky Way @ 43,000 miles per hour X 21 hours or 903,000 miles.
So I traveled 903,000 + 27,300,000 + 12,700,800 + 1,686,996 + 21,000 + 1,200 for a total of 42,612,996 miles on Thursday while driving to Nashville and back.
No wonder I am still tired!
I'd vote for that
