Hey folks, I thought I would through two cents in on this one.
I looked into SPZI and XXIS months ago (9+). I looked into buying but the DD said NO. The peeps just kept on promising and promising but not delivering. Without digging up old info and DD, I do encourage all of you to look at the time lines of the old press releases and verify the out come. Sterling, I greatly respect any of your opinions on here and have you as one of my favorites but I do caution you and anyone else on this play. If you're playing this for momo then thats one thing but as an investment... well, I have kept an eye on this one for a while and it just doesn't feel right.

Did FRTL get halted due to the new regulations? I don't have anything on my level II for it. Anyone know anything?
Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!
I was just looking at that one with my screener and had started to look into it. Time to get a Blackberry
Hello all...
Yes, the NALI board is getting attention and NALI is also getting attention on Sheff's board. If you haven't checked out sheff's board I would highly recommend it.

I posted some thoughts on NALI and NMKT
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=31450042
NMKT is a good company but I must agree with Clay; they have a bad CEO. There is more than enough good news for this company that a competent CEO would be able to do better.
I've kept my eye on this one and will continue. For now, I think I'll put some in NALI.

Zoom-Zoom, et al: Re NLAI and NMKT
I have been watching NMKT and things are definitely starting to look brighter. I remember reading this a couple of weeks ago:
NewMarket Technology, Inc. Announces $10.5 Million Managed Services Contract With WBA Telecommunications, S.A. to Provide Comprehensive IT Services
5:00p ET July 25, 2008 (Market Wire)
NewMarket Technology, Inc. (OTCBB: NMKT) today announced a three-year, $10.5 million managed services contract with WBA (Wireless Broadband Access) Telecommunications, S.A. of Bogota, Colombia. This is NewMarket's first contract in Colombia. Not including this recent contract, NewMarket has approximately $20 million in annual revenue in Latin America through its operations in Brazil, Chile and Venezuela. NewMarket globally reported $93.1 million in profitable revenue in 2007 across all Company operations.
Over the next three years, NewMarket will provide a wide variety of IT Managed Services to WBA. The two companies are also forming plans to co-develop additional business. The companies are currently exploring opportunities to combine WBA's regional telecommunications experience with NewMarket's global emerging technology experience to win new contracts in the region.
Bruce Noller, President of NewMarket Managed Services, stated, "We are pleased with both the growth of our managed services as well as our expansion regionally in Latin America. WBA is a well-established broadband provider in Colombia, having implemented one of the first municipal wireless projects in the country for the city of Castilla La Nueva, Meta. We look forward to providing them with the IT services they require to grow their service offering in the area. We are excited about partnering with WBA because, like NewMarket, they are an entrepreneurial company focused on delivering next generation technologies that provide their clients a competitive edge, which is essential in today's IT marketplace."
WBA's President, Francisco Teran, stated, "We chose NewMarket because of their strong emerging technology experience combined with their Latin American presence. With NewMarket's services, we plan to diversify our own service portfolio and breadth to implement much larger projects and to become a leading provider of wireless broadband and related services not only in Colombia, but throughout Latin America as well."
$4 Million Managed Services Contract with Telefonica's Movistar
NewMarket recently announced a consolidation of the Company's global technology service operations to support the growth of the Company's recurring revenue business. Bruce Noller was named to lead the consolidated operations as the President of NewMarket Managed Services. The operations consolidated under NewMarket Managed Services account for approximately $70 million in annual revenue.
The contract with WBA represents the second major Managed Services contract since NewMarket consolidated its global service operations. Earlier this year, NewMarket's Venezuelan operation, RKM IT Solutions, announced a three-year, $4 million managed services contract with Movistar, a division of Telefonica, a major mobile phone provider in Latin America and Spain.

And then there was this, NMKT bought EVEREX
http://www.itworld.com/business/53379/everex-acquired-newmarket-technology
Everex is a small company that produces basic computers. Their latest is the Cloud (a pocket PC) and will have 3G and WIMAX built in. See:
http://www.everex.com/
http://www.dailywireless.org/2008/07/01/everex-wimax-netbooks-due/
http://www.slashgear.com/everex-102-inch-wimax-cloudbook-ultraportable-coming-says-fic-0112349.php
I was speculating that they bought Everex and then the three year deal with Telecommunications, S.A. to not only provide services, but to sell these pocket PCs to an emerging market that will have 3G and WIMAX technology.
I have to find it, but there was an article about the license that Telecommunications, S.A holds to certain frequencies and how this was a bonus as they would be used for a WIMAX system.
Maybe time to pick up some shares
Dan,
Another company I've was starting to look into (I just don't have much time these days for DD) is BSIC, Basic Earth Science Systems Inc. They have a lot of wells in the BAKKEN oil shale of which you mentioned. While not a "penny", they are a OTCBB. They closed at $1.34 today.
Anyone interested in looking into them?
I have taken the opportunity to add to my position with the impatient unloading their shares into my hands. Looked like the MMs were more than happy to snatch up shares as they expect, as do many on this board, that news is immanent regarding MMTE's drilling status any day now.
What do you think Sheff?
Interesting website with lots of info on oil and gas
http://oilshalegas.com/woodfordshale.html
Look at the map!
http://webhosting.web.com/imagelib/sitebuilder/misc/show_image.html?linkedwidth=actual&linkpath=http://www.oilshalegas.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/woodfordshale.jpg&target=tlx_picu2ks&title=Woodfood%20Shale%20Map%20-%20Oklahoma
A section of Noble county is a "sweet spot" for the Woodford shale formation. Does anyone have a map with MMTE exact locations? It would be interesting to see if their leases are on top of that sweet spot.
GO MMTE!
Previous MMTE news was released at 830 am (at least the last 10). I'll be waiting to flip open the puter at 530 pst to see if they've released anything (if the wife doesn't beat me over the head with it LOL). If they do, it would be perfect timing. The MMTE train has left the station.
Buys to Sells today was nuts.. something like 45+ mil buy to 15+ mil sell.
Thanks Sheff and to all who put this one together.
And it only took them a couple of days to drill that first well to a depth of somewhere around 500'. At that rate, they will be spitting out PRs like two a week. Would love to hear what the wells produce in BOD so we can start to make some sales estimates.
Cheers,
BFO
MGLG(.005) rumor info
Found this post on another board... interesting info on possible merger with Ky-Tenn Oil through ACOE (Alcoe Energy). Here is the original post.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/replies.aspx?msg=31141265
Yes! It took them three full days since the spud date on the 28th. Sticking with that time line, they should be able to announce news on the next well on Monday if not, Tuesday!
At that rate they should have all three wells drilled by the end of next week!
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Anyone... with MMTE, I have a drilling question:
What is the average depth per day that a drilling company can achieve and what has been the depth at which most oil/gas has been discovered in that region?
I guess the short way of asking, how long till we will know if they find something on this well?
TIA
Sheff,
I was checking up on the WNYN page, 8 open employment positions
http://www.warp9inc.com/employment_opportunities/
That says a lot in this economy, given the unemployment numbers keep going up.
Looking at the open positions... I would say serious growth going on since they gave Cornell the boot (IMHO). Still a bargain at these prices too.
Mike,
8 open employment positions... project manager, director of engineering, and others.
http://www.warp9inc.com/employment_opportunities/
All of these types of positions in this current economy can mean only one thing, big time growth and the need to keep up with the demand for services (IMOH).
Something big this way comes....
I've just been using the opportunity to add to my MMTE position. Originally, I was bummed thinking I was catching the train as it left the station without my luggage; I'm glad to see that I had time to "load" my stuff on the train before it left :D.
ALLLLLLL ABOARDDDDDDDDD!!!!! CHOOOO CHOOOOO, CHAGGA CHAGGA, CHOOOO CHOOOOOOOOOOOO
Thx Sheff, EOM.
Thanks Rainmaker.
I'm still holding on to my shares... I am waiting for the news, guess others are just impatient. Might have something to do with the instant gratification society we live in...? In this market, stocks like FRTL or FRGY are worth a short wait.
Thanks,
Good amount of selling going on with FRTL, any comments or opinions?
TIA

Thank you, Sheff and a thank you to all of your assistants. This is my home on IHUB. I can't touch a computer without looking to see if there are any new posts. I am learning everyday by reading the post by members on this board (thank you all as well) and making money while doing it; how great is that?
Here is to a great future!
O wise council of penny plays...
I was wondering what you think of IGPG. I found it while looking at the REG SHO list and then realized you guys played back in April of this year. It looks like its ready to make a run again. What's your take?
Amen! The beauty of your board Sheff is just that. Solid DD, no bashing or pumping and friendly, polite conversation and exchanges about stocks and finance.
I read that article in the journal today too. And, while I agree that there is a propensity to blame the profiteers who make money due to their foresight, the few that don't mind sticking out their leg to trip up an already stumbling institution to make a buck should be investigated and charged if warranted.
Speaking of sticking out a leg... when is good ol' Chucky Schumer going to pay for the damages he set into motion. I mean, I will admit the dominoes were set up and ready to go at a moments notice... but he didn't need to be the one flicking over the first one to set off the chain reaction. Of course, he'll get a congressional pardon.
Cheers,
BFO
WHOA! Sheff,
Really? You can buy and sell the same securities on the same day in an IRA and you wont be flagged as a day trader? That's good to know. I just sold off some very stagnant mutuals in my IRA and was starting to invest them in the OTCBB since thats where the money seems to be these days. There have been a few stocks that burned me b/c I couldn't unload them in the same trading day. So, this is very good to know. Man, I just keep learning and learning from you guys... I really appreciate it.
Cheers,
BFO
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
Welcome Rainmaker and thank you for all your work. And of course, thank you Sheff, Rattle, and Brent Janice. With this all-star line-up, this board is on its way to the top.

Legal,
Just wanted to say hi and thank you for your wonderful board. You and your assistants do a great job and the people you have attracted to this forum are first rate. Thank you.
I am a stock novice, so I can't offer much in sharing DD but I am trying to learn and so far am making a lot of money watching the pros go at it. I noticed you posted a request for assistants a few days ago, I don't know what is involved but if it is something I can help with I would be glad to do it. If there was a floor to sweep I would be asking you where is the broom.
So, many thanks to you and your army of DD'ers for the great stock picks.
May the feast continue.
Cheers,
BFO
Gator,
I am curious, what indicators do you look at or are speaking of in this case of GGLB? Just trying to learn.
TIA

Sheff,
Bought in on FRTL this morning... I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy...
I feel like I am eating the crumbs off the plate of a God, and loving every minute of it. Thanks for the call. I am also in on MMTE.
Cheers,
BFO
Congrats to all that played QMNM! I wasn't in on it, but just like at the casino, you're always happy to hear the sound of the bells and see the lights flashing even if it is for the guy sitting next to you.
Really liking this board. Not just for thee good calls but for the atmosphere too; this is the way to make money.
Cheers,

Thanks gator
Question on the definition of Low Float...
What is the preferred/generally accepted ratio for a "Low Float"? I am assuming that it is the ratio of Float to Outstanding... yes? Can anyone provide some examples of current stocks listed as plays and which ones are Low Floaters? Just a newbie looking for some help. Really enjoying this board so far... I think everyone is great here. A lot of the other boards would do well to learn from the attitude of this one; Great job Sheff and to the other moderators as well. Thanks in advance to any who answer my question.
Cheers,
BFO
