Can anyone give a brief status of the drugs in trial? When should we expect trial data?
Somebody hit the ask already!
I agree, and that's understandable. However, as I have mentioned before, would not a night at a strip club and a few hundred bucks not get the job done equally as well? I'm not a sleezy guy, but that just seems like a better way to scratch the backs of potential distributors (and feel free to substitute anything else for strip club)... That way more money could be spent building public awareness (moreso than a sticker on a truck that you have to go out of your way to see)... We need both! Grabbing the attention of both distributors and consumers is what we need. Right now it seems way too one sided, and just from a general outside view it seems as though it is only to support Weber's hobby (whether that's fair or not, but I'd argue he hasn't put forth the effort to show how it isn't just a hobby)...
Thanks for the response Ryan. I hope you understand I am not posting randomly to bash, given I don't own any right now.. BBDA has somewhat turned into the ex-wife that I still care about :P
My ears perked up a bit when rumors where swirling that they may seek to quit nascar (when some thought they were selling all the trucks) because I thought they might change their business plan. If they do I think this has significant potential (clearly not as much as with 4 billion outstanding)... If they do and I'm not stalking the BBDA board, feel free to give me a heads up ;)
A few questions for you ryan. When is the last time we had an uptick? With the market cap we have now (assuming 11 billion outstanding), how high could this possibly go anytime soon? As several others have already pointed out, with the product not taking off in over a year, is it possible the category is not as large as Weber/we thought? Product works, I have it in my fridge, yet I have only had 2 cans because I am almost never in a situation where I want to get sleepy (I guess it would be good if you're a lazy parent and want your kids to think they're getting caffeine and meanwhile they start falling asleep left and right).... Regardless of how hard management is working, there have been very limited results. What this tells me is not a lack of spirit, but rather a complete lack of understanding on how to run a business, no matter what industry. How is this going to change? Most importantly from my perspective, and hopefully for yours (as you are apparently a "long" on this stock), how are you going to be assured that even if this ever did become established, you would own the product. Right now it is not owned by you, but rather by Daisy Ramirez. I heard Weber's laughable excuse as to why (probably the single largest impact on my selling off of my position). I would suggest that you pressure Weber/management to transfer all ownership of the products to BBDA... Weber's excuse did not hold any legal water...
So these trucks only cost 10-20k??? What sort of POS did they buy? LMFAO...
Sorry everyone, but I just snooped back in here to see what was going on.... WOW...
If they are legitimately selling and focusing on the dang beverage company I may reconsider. Why you say? Well, the bloated SS set aside, the product works and has serious potential. On the flip side, I am sitting on 5 cans in my fridge that are just sitting there because I rarely have need/desire for a relaxation drink... I realize some people need this, and our competitor's numbers suggest there is a market, albeit much much smaller than the energy drink market. I would like to see this company focus on actually becoming a dominant player in the category and not some nascar funding BS operation. EOM...
Diddi, no. I have stated before and just to repeat.. I do not intend on dumping all at once. I am gradually shedding some here and there.
Hey Ryan, sorry you have to be the one to take all the beatings around here. I admire your respect and efforts no matter what this company does. I am just trying to make the point that investors should know exactly what they are buying. Any random investor who stumbles upon BBDA will assume that they own Koma, which is 100% inaccurate. I hope this fact is kept openly available to future investors. I understand most here are in it for the short term pumps (including myself in the world of pinks)... but there are always some who hold and hold only to watch the pps drop as everyone realizes the truth behind a given stock. I am in the process of liquidating my shares (and that huge spike last week was not me, but probably some of the investors I team up with).. I do not want to dump like a mad man at .0001, I will either gradually sell at .0001 as I have been doing, or let some get taken at .0002. Hope all is well with everyone and keep up the good work. Hope it turns around. :)
So just a random question. Does anybody here actually believe the bit about DLR owning Koma Unwind to protect it from BBDA shinanigans? I mean come on, do they know anything about the legal system? Secondly, did anyone catch his statement about the agree lasting for 5 years.... Why is it not indefinite? Oh that's right, Weber and Daisy want to be able to take all the profits if it becomes profitable while having the ability to leave it and it's debt with BBDA if things go sour. Interesting business plan, not exactly what I would consider fair for investors. Just a warning for those who plan on this being their long term play into a serious company money maker. This is NOT AN INVESTMENT IN KOMA UNWIND UNTIL BBDA OWNS KOMA UNWIND... Not trying to nag, just want to make sure everyone here realizes this.
So now we resort to being content that 5 BILLION shares only got the company $500k???? Is that really something to brag about? LOL Sorry, don't want to become a "basher"... Haven't stopped by since I started exiting last week and just scanning over the post this one caught my eye.... Funny but somewhat sad.
Kinda funny you knew "he" was posting on the board 3 hours before he actually posted on the board!!! LMFAO...
See this is what I am angry about.. Why, particularly during a time of capital raising, would you want to disassociate yourself from investors? Why wouldn't you put in the minimal effort to "sell" your business plan/developments with potential investors? That would benefit everyone, because demand for stock would be higher, and dilution could have occurred at a higher level. This man has no clue how to operate a publicly held company, and clearly sees no fiduciary responsibility to keep our best interests at heart...
Thanks firebag, I've appreciated your posts over the last months, and I will probably leave 5-10 mill in my account just in case... Hopefully something happens :)
Great luck to you!
The pinks are for my gambling needs.... LOL... some of us don't want to fly out to Vegas or go to Detroit where we'd be shot. I have multiple trading accounts, only one of which is for pinks and I only throw a little money here or there into it for the hell of it and to keep me motivated to look at my other stocks each day. I also enjoy talking/reading the drama on this and other previous boards. You can see from my posting that I only pick one pink at a time, and that's the reason behind it. So far I have made some in pinkieland, not much when you account for my losses, but it's still fun, just like gambling.
After endless attempts by investors to direct the company away from nascar "advertising" they have blatantly continued down this path. They have not presented meaningful reasons for why this is such a high yield approach to marketing, especially not relative to other forms of marketing... I am growing more and more impatient, and starting soon (most likely tomorrow) I will be liquidating my position. I am thoroughly disgusted by their efforts and lack of actions/attention to the simplest of matters, all of which cost this company money and lower our stature as a potential investment opportunity. I mainly feel disgusted because now I have to approach my group of investors and tell them I think they should dump their shares at this loss, unless they have already (and yes, we all place positions knowing full well that it may end at zero value)... I wish everyone the best in their investing. This will not be my last time here, but it is surely getting close. Here's to hoping Weber mans up and starts showing some effort/results/anwers to simple investor questions. Now the search for my new pink sheet stock begins :)
I bought some once, it works and tastes pretty good. The criticisms on bevnet are dead on in regards to the branding/quality of the cans. If they simply channeled their energy towards maximizing return on investments, we would not be in the mess we are now, nor would we have a diminishing outlook. Time is a critical component of any startup, and Weber has proven consistently to miss or completely ignore deadlines in the past. Holding onto the slimmest of hopes that he somehow comes to a realization of this and mans up.
I guess I should have realized this sooner, like when he was sending emails about some sort of amazing news to be released, which turned out to be some loser brother of a decent nascar driver.... That goes to show how out of touch with the interests of shareholders he really is...
Is anyone else upset that we are going to be advertising in a magazine that is going to direct consumers towards our website and webstore which is full of spelling and grammatical errors? This is one heck of an unprofessional operation.
Hit the nail on the head.... These questions, including today's "discussion" on Koma ownership, shouldn't be so vague.. There is no insider information associated with contracts between entities, how much are we paying for nascar sponsorship, who owns the products we sell... etc. They are simply being kept from us to confuse new investors. Otherwise Weber/SR would have responded a long time ago when each of these concerns arose to set the record straight. IMO they are placing all the upfront risk onto BBDA shareholders while maintaining full control/ownership if the product becomes successful. If that is the case and is disclosed to us, I will sell my position and suggest that everyone I know sell off as well (and not to blow up my ego, but I represent a huge number of shares...)
PS This may just be Weber's inexperience and not knowing that these are serious concerns for investors. Of course then why would he dodge the issues?
LOL well stated... :)
Just had my first Koma Unwind... Must admit it is pretty dang good indeed. A little too carbonated for my liking, but eh, that's just being picky. Has the consistency of most of the energy drinks I've tried yet tastes significantly better. Have never had other relaxation drinks to compare to. After taste is eh as well. Definitely works to relax you, as I ate virtually half a cake an hour ago and I'm ready to sleep now lol... Overall it's not too bad, and if it were available in a store I would probably buy some for nights when I have difficulty sleeping. Of course it doesn't knock you out, just takes a little bit off the edge. I'm more confident with this investment after trying it, now it's a matter of Weber and friends following through on a successful business plan, one which IMO does not involve nascar.... time will tell if they wisen up.... :)
Well congrats SR... I know you do a far more thorough job and I look forward to "discussing" with you on some of the questions we all still have. Congrats again!
Did somebody actually say that from the company? That would be hilarious. It is nice to see a product in my fridge though. I'm planning on trying it friday or saturday as I sure as heck don't need it during the week. Of course, is it actually a product that I've invested in or a product that BBDA simply sells? Ah the mystery... Mystery you would think Weber would be interested in clarifying so as to convert "bashers" to pumpers... Unless of course he can't stand pumpers!!! LMFAO
So I just got mine today and do not see any best by or expiration date listed on the can... Where was your expiration date at? I will let everyone know how it tastes/works once i've tried it...
LMFAO!!!! What a f-ing joke.. Maybe this will give us a reason to cancel our sponsorship of a drug abusing race team.... Maybe? Ah who am I kidding.... Funny though...
You can add my post # 97633 to that list if you would like. Why can't we get answers? I have 10k I would be willing to throw here if we could get more transparency... Until we do I will not average down... and I am sure I am not alone.
I usually am not one for name calling, but Weber definitely seems to be quite the whimp when it comes to addressing shareholder concerns... I have no doubt that he will always avoid the 10-20 major questions we keep posting again and again... See if they were willing to clarify the discrepencies, SR would have already received an email answering our concerns... That alone speaks volumes for my opinion of Weber's character and motives...
So ordered product online on march 3, and received an email stating it would arrive in 2-3 days (priority mail).... That should have been saturday/monday.... Anyone had experience like this before???
I'll be trying it hopefully this week as I ordered some last... I will be honest with my judgement as hopefully everyone here has that impression of me. I don't sugar coat but I see the potential and the efforts...
FYI I was the one who posted about ordering potencia and received cans which were expired (had a Best By date of 7/26/08.... I purchased them in 2009 after Weber purchased BBDA... you can do the math)... Still have them in my fridge for some reason so I can always try to post a pic if ya'll want.
I hope this no show by the one truck and the pathetic performance by the other one, combined with the lack of news is a sign that Weber decided to focus on the company and leave nascar alone... we can only hope that mistake is soon behind us. To all those who say there is some magical reservoir of bbda investors who don't post on ihub, think again. Weber is reading this board and apparently has finally understood our disgust with funding nascar adventures... As long as you have serious statements (pro or con) continue posting here. They might just be taking our thoughts to heart. I like his push towards locking down distributors, but now we need to start seeing marketing towards consumers coupled with this drive. Nascar sponsorship is for the distributors you can pull into the pits and entertain, not consumers who can't buy it in stores...
See that's my point... when you rent billboards for a few grand, you aren't paying for the "possibility" of getting exposure, you're getting exposure. Weber, WE WANT ANSWERS!!!!
Apparently we didn't qualify so that would be a mute point. LOL
Now why are we not renting billboards for a few grand instead of putting huge money in trucks... shitty trucks at that????????? Some sort of racy photo/slogan to grab attention.... Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? LMFAO.
I don't think you're on the right side of the fence on this one my friend (if you are kind enough to give me the offer).. All I gather from most here is a desire to hear from Weber a few key explanations as follows:
1. What do we actually own as a company? It appears the flagship product (aka Koma) of this company is owned by Daisy? Is this true and how then can we shareholders be assured that our investment will receive the return if the product becomes established? To even the most mentally challenged of investors, it would seem possible that Weber would place all the risk on the backs of shareholders while maintaining a vague image as to who actually owns Koma, so that if it does materialize into a hot product, he can turn around after the fact and say that "oh, BBDA is just a seller of Koma" while the profit is returned to the private persons who own it. This needs clarification.
2. From even the most conservative estimates, the company has acquired $500-1000k (even after "debt reduction" etc.) through dilution. WHERE IS THIS MONEY GOING. I do not expect Weber to give me a list of 100-1000 stores, but I do expect him to be laying out numbers such as product shipped, reorders, production runs (including how much is produced) etc., so we know we aren't sitting on a pipe dream funding operation.
3. I am somewhat ok with nascar as a means to scratch the backs of potential business partners, but as i have stated before, wouldn't a strip club adventure work the same charm for 1/50000 the cost? Why are we not looking at more reasonable advertising (more like the convenient store catalog i guess we were in for the January release)? Or maybe advertising for not just distributors, but also consumers... there's a thought!
4. How can we possibly be respected in our field if our website looks worse than a third grade computer class product...
5. STOP GOING GLOBAL before we've even established locally. I don't see how shipping a container to south america is going to be profitable at a stage where our profit margin is negative. Global expansion should occur once we know we have a winner and are able to mass-produce the product. This smells of an attempt to talk up BBDA with tag lines which are nearly impossible to perform proper dd on.
These are just a few examples of the concerns among investors. Maybe on of you mods could send this along to Weber. I would like each of these to be addressed at our possible webcast. I must say, if there is any issue with answering any of these questions, it is because something is wrong with bbda.. Answering any of these concerns and others would not negatively affect the company. There are no trade secrets to be protected, just cold hard transparency. I finish with this, why does this have to be so dang complicated? Answer the freakin questions of your stakeholders.
P.S. Please don't tell me to calm down, I have some Koma arriving shortly and plan on consuming a safe amount upon arrival. This can be a winner and there's nothing wrong with productive criticism :)
How much could a production cost I wonder? And we've had 2 of them i believe? Maybe 50k each? We've had over a million acquired via dilution, where is that money going!?!
Here's my concern... Don't you think if there were good numbers, even poor numbers showing a gradual increase... we'd have heard this info by now? Particularly when Weber should be attempting to have the highest possible pps for diluting so as to minimize it's negative impact on shareholder value? THAT is what scares me right now....So we wait like blind mice...
Hey sr and ryan, thanks for the heads up.. Do you think either of you could suggest to Weber about maybe releasing some basic information, such as how many re-orders we have had from existing distributors. It would be nice to get an idea of how our product is catching on, if at all. I'm not looking for solid numbers, just percentages or even broad statements. I think this would help many restless investors who are on the fence right now. Product is being sold, we just want some sort of basis to give our investment decisions weight... We finally have one component in this equation (ungagged share structure), and now we just need our rev numbers to make sound decisions. Thanks in advance for your time.
P.S. If they can provide millions in revs I'll be ok with our nascar sponsorship... :P
A giant billboard is definitely the way to get local retailers to offer the beverage at their stores. Shows you are the real deal and committed to your mutual success with a given product. It certainly beats Nascar.... (sigh)
You hit the nail on the head... pretty much... The drink is awesome, Weber is working really hard. I believe there is more progress than what Weber and company portray to us (which is frustrating as they are not helping the pps during a time of capital raising)... I also agree that their execution is far from ideal, mainly due to their nascar fetish. IMO this is where Weber is separating himself from most investors. I believe that if he came out and stated that we were no longer funding a racing team and instead were putting into place a strategic billboard campaign, the pps would instantly jump... I have full faith in the potential of this company, and that a bloated os will not matter long term as sales will demand a higher pps (otherwise i would not waste my time here). However, I am increasingly more and more frustrated with their decisions... and they have not yet given me cause to question my concerns.
with that sort of burn rate we better call daily, at least one of us... There better be some seriously good sales numbers behind this dilution...
I always say you can judge a company by what partnerships it is able to work with... The credibility of our distributors is increasing in a big way. Hopefully we can get product into stores prior to this year's spring break activities...
