reached the first target of 17.50 in 6 days. I love that gorilla trades is finally getting buy signals in the mining and other commodity companies with large market caps. momentum definately favors these companies. we're looking for another 1.50 or so before we reach the 2nd target.
It "confirmed" today. awesome volume at 12,189,00. I may have to sell some vertical put spreads.
Finally a gold stock shows up on the gorilla trades radar. Need to see it close above 16.12 on volume around 11m. It looks like we'll close above 16.12, but as of 2:16, we are short on volume.
Technically strong? Gorilla Trades calls NOC a potential long pick. Since Nov, it looks like its been trading sideways. The MACD is just about to cross the 0 line. It looks like its held up real well compared to the indices. thoughts?
thanks frenchee for the heads up on these companies. i created a new watch list in think or swim for em. i looks like the list had a good day. 26 advancing for the day.
Frenchee,
You're in all threads of the companies I'm looking at! haha
Well, this one is a potential long candidate with a 1st target at the 66.50 level. All these gorilla trades have 6-8 week price targets based on momemtum. Energen's seemed to have held up pretty good during the recent market correction, though I'm having a hard time locating a technical formation that would indicate such a move. Thoughts?
Thanks again for the reply frenchee! Yea I see $67.5 being a major support level in the near term which is right at that lower bb. This is definately not one of the gorilla trades that I'm jumping into. There's alot of other picks at the moment that are much more promising, despite the fact that mur looks to be trending lower.
thanks again bud
Thanks for the reply! This sucker was trading in a NARROW range today of .14 or so. I see a potential for a small breakout back to test the 22.58 level again although I wouldn't be surprised if we consolidated for a while longer.
ciao!
Friday was a big move up but failed to meet the required 1.9 million shares for volume confirmation. However, Friday's chart formation could be a setup for a high-base breakout. Look for a break above the 21.60 mark as confirmation.
Comments are appreciated.
Time to go Short?
I'm still waiting for confirmation, but MUR came up as a gorilla trade short and confirmed today on price and volume. I'm reluctant to jump on this one because the sector is so bullish. Potential is a 17 point move to the downside. Any thoughts?
Long 24-27 I'm waiting for confirmation from Gorilla Trades, but it looks like this one is set to move higher. The chart looks strong despite today's pullback. Since the beginning of '08 there has been strong accumulation. It sure doesn't hurt that it's in a fundamentally bullish sector as well.
looks like it's breaking out. volume is way up. rsi just crossed 70 and is headed higher.
I received this email from Gorilla Trades. "Watch this formation as prices hover near all time highs... any further demand may spark new upside momentum." RTN hasn't "confirmed" yet but could if price and volume increase. What do you guys think? 1st target is 68.50.
IMCL "confirmed" today...
in the "gorilla trades" system (swing / momentum based) It was up $1.13 with 1.86 million shares traded. This is a significant increase in volume. 1st target is $48.
What do you guys think about IMCL? It "triggered" (but didn't confirm on volume) on the Gorilla Trades system last week with a target of $48. It looks like it's been in a consolidation pattern since then. Earnings are due out on the 31st. Thoughts?
Closing Long Position. I got Stopped out per gorilla trades' raised stop loss at $57 early this morning. An 18% profit isn't bad for holding this stock since October, but I had high hopes for CNX. I know she's going to go higher given the fundementals, but rules are rules!
Held up real nice today.
We bounced solidly off the 50 day EMA at the beginning of the year and look like we started the next wave up. I've been using the gorilla and he's got a price target of 84. Anyone else see the same potential?
