That's just amazing when you consider that elite golfers have missed cut rates of around 10%. You may have uncovered statistical evidence of a gambling bribery scheme. :)
That's incredible. I have researched the odds and even read a few articles on average pro golfer, missed cut rates. If what you say is true, then this site deserves an award for the unluckiest poor bastards on the web. It's just incredible that so many people could be that unlucky. :)
A perfect blowout is a rare event that can only be expected to occur once in, say, 500 years at current participation rates. At a minimum, it deserves an unlucky, poor bastard award. :)
I estimate that assuming an average missed cut rate of 10% for elite golfers, the odds that all 5 picks will miss is about 1 in 100,000 or 2,000 times greater than winning the contest itself with 50 participants. Yes, a perfect blowout deserves special mention. :)
You did fine finishing in the middle of the pack which is what long run probability might predict. But what are the odds of picking 5 players from among the top twenty in the world and having every single one of them miss the cut? :)
The odds of a perfect blowout are far greater than the odds of simply winning the contest when you consider that most people tend to pick the highest ranked golfers. I propose some sort of special commendation award. :)
Has anyone ever even had a perfect blowout here before? :)
How about the Midas touch? No offense intended, we've all been there, but a complete blowout with that name is kinda funny. :)

Thanks once again for this.
Approaching triple zips, I see. PTOI destiny is fulfilled.
How often has the score tiebreaker come into play in the past?
Just curious

Thanks again for doing this

Only in Pinkyland is a stock selling for a few pennies after falling +99% considered to be some sort of relative success.
The Pacific plastic fleet was just one of many stories that served as a red flag alert to this fraud. The Pacific patch is a myth with only micro particles suspended in the water column and not floating on the surface as mountains of plastic garbage. There wasn't a lot of DD performed on this project in spite of the presence of a number of "marine professionals".

Day trading penny stocks is an excellent alternative. In PTOI's case, with a 10% to 20% or more bid/ask spread, you'll be looking at 99%+ capital loss deductions in a much faster time period than it took PTOI to lose 99% from its $7 high!
Going down Memory Lane...
My favorite was the boating expedition outfitted with bright yellow ACDU t-shirts presumably accompanied by Chinese billionaires hiding in the bushes. :)

I figure that the scamsters are still feeding enough shares into the market to justify carrying costs or that the sale of the shell is anticipated to be enough to offset carrying costs. Or maybe, they're keeping PTOI afloat until various statutes of limitations expire. One thing for sure...they're not floating this thing for our benefit. :)
A troll? You should see my PM inbox. :)

Thanks.
Why not give them McIlroy, the next ranked player in the world...who apparently didn't show up either.

I've seen mentions that Keith Maydak was living in Panama. Can anyone say where he lives now?
What's interesting about that fraud case is that Mitchell Brown was cited for defrauding investors of around $900k. Do you suppose that the FBI & SEC noticed the PTOI fraud of $70+ million?
How can there be nefarious colluding entities compressing the PPS when nekkid shorters have an infinitely large number of shares to sell? Why would the nekkid shorters care about the PPS level in the march to zip point zip zip zip?
It seems that these guys should get their acts together instead of working against each other.
Yeah and if you say "orange" to yourself very, very slowly, it will sound just like "gullible".
The fact that Heddle owns a private company is no indication that he is above being a little shady. Upstanding guys don't usually associate with scamsters and scam companies. Upstanding guys usually participate in their communities and in various civic events.
The only things we know about Heddle is that he owns a private company and associates with scamsters. That's not quite enough for most people to consider investing in his projects.
How seriously do you take a guy who associated with scamsters, who participated in a scam PR campaign to outfit and operate ships that would harvest the Pacific plastic patch...and never bothered with the homework that would indicate the Pacific plastic patch didn't even exist!
Yeah, Heddle is real serious.
