A week ago, there was an article on Wall Street Journal about a China Investment Club. Those guys made a lot of money. Anyone has a link to their Web site or contact address? Thank you.
On the other hand, these shorters are very smart too. They would find a certain way to depress the stock before buying it back. More bashings coming soon too?
Whatever, they must cover the shorts before the earning release at year end coming out. The game is getting interesting all the time.
On the other hand, did someone say they called ETrade office in Hong Kong? A phone call to remind them of covering the shorts within 3 days? is required by SEC law? It would hasten the rise? Interesting trading game being played. It's fun when you're on the sideline and your money's not at stake.
Commoname, ETrade is a big company. It would take them a few days to cover the shorts. It's coming.
Did somebody say yesterday that E-Trade was the one who did all the shorting? Great news today. Time for them to cover these shorts.
TFN, that's my point. Why didn't people bitch at 6 cents, why now at 54 cents? The future looks much brighter too.
I-man. I agree that HRCT still needs plenty of improvements. However, why shareholders were so enthusiastic when the share prices were in the dump, with no revenue and profit. The situation is much better now and yet, the sentiments are 180 degree south?
Good insight, I-man. Many blue chips stocks are flat too, but they don't get lynched. On other matters, are they small issues compared to the revenue, profit and growth? They were there before and they will probably be there for a few more quarters. HRCT is not yet a blue chip, but they compare well to other small cap Nasdaq. I like the stealth mode, especially when you are a small company.
The SEC lawsuit liability is only $800 K. They don't have any bank loan. It's a small item on the balance sheet even if they lose the lawsuit.
I just don't understand. I saw more enthusiastic shareholders when HRCT was at 6 cents and less criticism than now. The company has grown fast, the revenue and profit are respectable, David Chen did a good job in controlling the promotional tendency of the stock. It's solid. Yet shareholders are unhappy. Why? Anyone could share with this old dog a theory?
I think we're going to have the financial results next week. Looking at the lower price of HRCT lately, one might think that the results will be disappointing? Interesting. What would they be?
TFN, thank you. I feel so young today. I'd better bring an ID tonight. The bartender might ask. Actually, the financial statements are coming. Like they say, just 2 more weeks.
The only thing that matters to me will be the yearend financial statements of HRCT. Let's wait till then. All the rest are for fun and games. To spice up our Wall Steet life.
No disrespect for anyone, but only idiots would think that people spent time to write 10,000 messages have no financial interest in HRCT. But it's a free country, and the effect is minimal at best, so what's the big deal about the whole thing?
Talked to a trader on HRCT slump. There's a rumor that a young trader who thought HRCT is going to be flooded with 15 million restricted shares coming to market, so he shorted 2 million shares. Apparently he missed the PR on the extension of restricted shareholders to another year. The young guy was fired and the brokerage is trying to cover. Interesting to see the trading pattern the next few days. More interesting if HRCT releases the yearend financials next week.
Just a rumor, so don't take it seriously. Only for traders. For investors, we're in good shape? Next week we 'll have the answer.
Interesting stuff about MBR:

Odd thing about MBR is that as soon as HRCT's price rises 2 cents, he'll be back pumping the stock with the best of 'em.
Good night.
P4S. Not only HRCT, but all China stocks got slammed over 5% today. What's the explanation? NTES already released its earning.
On the other hand, George, you're a cool investor.
P4S. You're a real cool trader. Please come back often to educate us. The noise from the ignorants (including me) is irritating.
The only thing that matters to me is the year-end financial statements HRCT's going to file. (Next week?, next month?). Anything else is secondary, good or bad for traders and impatient Type A investors only. Big picture will let us know how far did we go in 2003. The final words.
On this board, if the share price does not go up 2% per day then there msut be some massive fraud involved. HRCT is a fun stock to own.
Thinkerman, people buy and sell. It makes life interesting. Hold is for investors. I-hubers are traders now. You can see many bashings, oops, many critical analysis on HRCT, despite steady progress on revenue and profit.
Irons, the news showed up as you wish. But don't hold your breath, or your pocket, nothing's going to change. It's a good boring company as usual.
I don't know about Wisconsin either.
Good news. I don't know about Iowa, but we always have room for another Fighting Irish.

Experts: Dogs Likely Originated in Asia
Sat Feb 14, 2:38 PM ET Add Science - AP to My Yahoo!
By PAUL RECER, AP Science Writer
SEATTLE - From Yorkshire terriers the size of a teacup to Irish wolfhounds near the size of a small pony, all dogs originated from a single species, probably an East Asian wolf seeking the warmth of the human hearth and an easy meal.
"We think there was a series of domestication events in East Asia," said Norine E. Noonan, a dog researcher at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. "It happened a lot longer ago than anybody once thought — at least 100,000 years ago."
Probably, there was a set of "dog Eves," a central proto-dog that adopted humans as a protector, provider and best friend. In return, the early wolf-like animals helped humans hunt, Noonan said Friday.
She and other scientists gave a report on the status of dog research at the national meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (news - web sites).
Based on genetic research, said Deborah Lynch of the Canine Studies Institute in Aurora, Ohio, "there were only about a half dozen domestication events in East Asia."
After that, dogs followed where humans went, migrating to the Americas, for instance, when people did.
"Domesticated dogs are much older than we once thought," said Lynch. "They literally walked out of the caves with us."
Somewhere along the way, humans learned they could breed dogs for particular jobs. Mating two fast dogs produced young that were also fast. The same was true for dogs that could dig, herd animals, hunt or attack humans.
Eventually, the experts said, the dog became the most variable animal on Earth in terms of shape, size and color. There are now more 300 recognized species, ranging from the very small Japanese Chin to the monster St. Bernard.
The various breeds look the way they do because sometime in the distant past humans wanted a dog for specific service to people, said Lynch.
"For instance, that's why guard dogs are always a dark color," she said. "There is almost always a functional reason for why dogs look the way they do."
Living with humans and sharing the environment for thousands of years also caused dogs to develop some of the same genetic health problems, from cancer to night blindness. Cancer, a major killer of elderly humans, is now the leading cause of death for dogs over the age of 10.
"In the company of man, dogs may have been under very similar pressures, and that may have given rise to similar diseases," said Gordon Lark, a canine genetic researcher at the University of Utah.
For that reason, humans are once more finding a new job for dogs __ as test animals for learning about human diseases. Dogs are becoming the new laboratory rat.
"The dog genome is much closer to the human genome than is the mouse," said Lark. "It will be a better model."
To further that purpose, researchers are now sequencing the dog genome. A rough genetic map has already been assembled for the poodle. One for the boxer is expected to be finished in April.
From this, researchers hope to learn the genetic basis for many diseases that affect both dogs and humans.
"Dogs offer a new window on the influence of genes on disease," said Lynch. The result may be better health for both dogs and humans, she said.
Lynch said the studies focus on conditions from narcolepsy, a sleeping disorder that affects Dobermans, to a type of night blindness that occurs in other species.
Noonan said researchers also hope to locate genes that cause some dogs to be more aggressive than others. For instance, she said, the aggressiveness of one breed of mountain dog was traced back to two animals that were imported into the United States.
If genes for such behavior can be found, it may be possible to genetically manipulate a breed to remove undesirable behavior from some breeds of dog.
It won't solve all the problems of dog ownership, however.
"I don't think there's a gene for peeing on the floor or chewing up shoes," said Lynch.
On the other hand, you always have Tennisstud and other characters. They provide the daily fun to our community. Not a bad place to be.
HRCT has become boring but making steady gain on revenue, profit and operational improvements. That's a good sign of maturity and long-term stability. It's no longer an emotionally-charged stock with yo-yo pattern. Some investors prefer that way.
garhart, the ticker symbol is PUSH on OTC BB.
Thank you MBR on the yuan revaluation news. On Legend, they increased shipments by 19% but investors were disappointed because PC market went up 22% overall. Most US hitech companies would pray for a 19% increase. Anything on OTCBB: PUSH?
China Daily reports China's Central Bank will let the yuan appreciate 5% against the US dollar in March. It means HRCT fundamentals (revenue, profit, assets) will increase by 5%. Wonder if the stock would appreciate likewise?
Since we can't wait to get off OTCBB, I wonder why Publix Supermarkets (OTCBB: PUSH) doesn't bother? They have $16 billion sales, $11 billion market cap, 120,000 employees? They don't care about NYSE or NASDAQ? Why?
T-stud, I think we went through this pomise business a while back. People said this promise and that promise were made, but the actual written words (our only proof) of the management tell a different story. David, damn if you get caught in somebody's bad mood.
T-stud, I remember they announced a big deal a month ago (Bejing IBM distributor with $80 million sales?) and the price went down. I am happy that HRCT could no longer depend on news to get share price up. Now they have to give us the real stuff: revenue and profit. They did in 2003. I think they are going to do again in 2004. Is that enough? Maybe I'm really old to understand the new math?
Basically 55 million shares or about $30 million were just bought and kept for another year. However, traders think that it's not important news. I'm too old to understand the new economics?
Poor David Chen: damn if you do have news, damn if you don't have news. Damn if you think long term, damn if you think short term.
Aries, this stockgate will impact OTC stocks more than any other news. The Canadian naked short selling operation is a common knowledge among traders and investors for the last 20 years. It's interesting that SEC had sat on this abuse out of complicity as the article alleged. All OTC shareholders could use a class action suit against the short sellers and the major brokers for relief. An investigation would make Enron look like child's play. Remember, this fraud has been going on for 20 years plus. We should make more noise everywhere so they don't sweep it under the carpet.
