I concur. Well stated sir!
Don't worry about it 'jack of stocks'. The post and points you made in your post are on target. I agree, any filing should be read in it's entirety in order to comprehend where a company is at and where it is headed.
Yes indeed, most any company transitioning from the R&D stage to a revenue producing stage will have a high rate of expenses related to research and development. It really is a simple concept that is repeated in the business world every day.
Taking a vision and making it reality takes time, talent and yes.....MONEY.
Where is the product now being shipped from? Where is it being shipped to? I suggest you find this out for yourself, as I have.
I don't think that Sequiam is the only company that has shifted portions of their operations to China. I wonder why? Actually I don't wonder why.
Exactly 'analystslie'. And that is why it's vital to look at the entire picture instead of an excerpt. We had a nice finish to last week and I expect more of the same. I think our China connection will be heard from soon. With the control issue now behind us it's back to the basics and the basic principles will take this stock higher in my opinion.
I don't understand the defensive tone directed my way 'todd'.
Taking excerpts to critique a 20+ page document is in itself taking the document out of context. Yes, 17% margins are low. Did the company address this issue in the filing? You posted the document that you referred to. I assumed you had read the ENTIRE FILING..the same one I have read.
Is it your opinion that Sequiam has downsized? As a whole? YES or NO?
As far as you recommending everyone read the entire document..I would assume that you mean the ENTIRE filing that contains Much more information than the filing you posted.
The document I referred to consisted of more than 20 pages 'todd'. It was more indepth and contained more information than what you chose to read. Somehow That does not surprise me. The document that I read contained the same language you posted and MUCH,MUCH more. As I stated earlier 'todd', I prefer to get the entire picture. Somehow, someway, I am confident that you have the ability and resources to find the document/filing that I am talking about. If after making an honest effort, you fail to find it, let me know.
Are you still of the opinion that the decrease in space needed in the U.S. constitutes overall downsizing on the part of Sequiam. Keep in mind that Sequiam is a global company.
Did you read the entire filing that you have referenced in your posts?
In case you missed it, the filing did contain language that explains the shifting of the number of employees from the U.S. to abroad, Specifically China. And you also would be able to answer the question of whether or not the company has downsized. I recommend that the entire filing be re-read.
After doing so please inform the board whether or not, In your opinion, the company has less employees today compared to 2006(pre-Magstone deal). Thanks for your continued concern and CONTINUED research 'todd'.
I appreciate the response 'toddwho2'. The filing that you reference does go on to say that the company not only recognizes the need to increase margins but they also have plans to do just that. When looking at companies that are at the stage that Sequiam is, I look at sales growth as well as the issues you have brought to light. I prefer to get the entire picture. We just happen to be on opposite sides of the fence in our interpretations of where this company is headed.
Also included in the filing you referenced are steps being taken by the company to ramp up it's other sectors, which historically have carried higher margins.. And let's all remember that Sequiam just recently took control of manufacturing. I recommend that those considering Sequiam as an investment should read the ENTIRE filing. Posting a paragraph or two does not, In my opinion, tell the whole story.
Just as you have posted a paragraph that contains less than flattering numbers, Another poster could pick and choose two paragraphs that paint an opposite picture. That is why the document should be read in it's entirety. Good luck with your investments.
No Downsizing. Sequiam is worldwide 'knowlesmsncom'. Did the thought cross your mind that the 13 full time employees was in reference to the number of those employed in the U.S.?
Do you consider the information posted on yahoo regarding ANY company to be full, complete and up to date?
Some will research a company with the intent to gain as full a picture as possible of where a company is and where they are headed. Others will stop short once they have satisfied a pre-conceived notion or agenda. Those that stop short sell themselves short and are unable, because they lack the knowledge, to accurately critique a company.
"then they should update...." Either that or you should do just a tad bit more research on the subject. Simply check their web-site. If you did you would find this: "OVER 80 TALENTED INDIVIDUALS....".
"somebody is blowing smoke..." Yes SOMEBODY CERTAINLY IS.
I don't think we shareholders of ABVG are holding our breath on that one. The more one digs into UMINING the worse it looks.
That's OK with me if the joint venture doesn't materialize. I personally think we are better off distancing ourselves from those that control UMINING.
"Sequiam gets a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing plant with 80 employees that exclusively will produce Sequiam's biometric security product,BioVault, as well as act as the company's "toy shop" as it DEVELOPS NEW PRODUCTS."
Nice! No wonder the company no longer needed the amount of space previously reserved in the U.S.. Production and research & Development under one roof in China. I wonder what that will do in relationship to production/research costs?
I seem to remember a post that suggested Sequiam's renegotiated lease in the U.S. was a product of downsizing. That conclusion is flawed and the result of poor research In my opinion.
Exactly 'jack of stocks'. With this in mind I expect much more in the NEAR future in the way of joint announcements between CJCC and Sequiam.
I've checked out CJCC and IMO CJCC seems to be a very FRIENDLY partner of Sequiams.
CJCC has a stake in Sequiam. I wonder if they have recently Increased their stake? Any information on this would be appreciated.
Thank you very much. The information you have provided makes it obvious that SPACE is NOT and issue for this company.
Sequiam, IMO , is headed in the right direction.
It is my understanding that the company, Sequiam, has plenty of space in China. I do believe that a joint venture and acquisition has provided the company with a manufacturing-research facility. I could be wrong on this as I am just now delving into this one. Any help on this issue would be appreciated.
I have a question concerning the IBOX. The float is listed as 15,000,000. The company says the float is approx. 30,000,000. Shouldn't the IBOX be updated to show this?
Not so fast Howard. So far the company has followed through as they promised in previous releases. In My Opinion the news gets even better this week. To each their own and you did the right thing by selling your stake since you no longer have faith in the company. 132 mil. shares being eliminated from the O/S is substantial. I do not agree with your assessment labeling this company as dishonest.
That was your trade Knowlesmsncom? Judging by your older posts I would have to ask you about the 81,500 shares.
Specifically, the additional 81,500 shares. Did you factor those in when declaring this a "good trade"? You paid a much higher price for those shares.
I'm new to this board and site. On free plan for now and have a grand total of three allowed posts per day. I'll be hanging around and reading the posts.
Great board guys and I'll have a cold one or two or three as well!
Gold is definately good. Everything about the Gold market is positive including the futures market. I bought into this one on thursday and am looking forward to a very good August in this stock.
The press release was well timed and contained meat. The neww management team seems to have their act together and are pulling all the right strings. Have a good one guys and good luck to all of us.
My opinions are just that-Mine.
