newflow, realistically, do you feel some distributions are coming to escrows commons?
Bizreader, there needs to be a "breakdown" of the costs if this amount came out of the estate. Don't escrows holders deserve to know where this kind of money is going and, specifically, for what purpose?
newflow, any speculation has to how much assets are involved?
"SO DCR ASSETS MOVED TO LT AND READY FOR DISTRIBUTIONS,IMO."
So trustees and lawyers have made around a billion from the estate already on this?
If there are assets in trusts coming to escrows, how will it be dispersed?
How and when will we find out if there are, indeed, safe harbor assets? What's the timetable?
AZCowboy, is it your contention that most of the potential money coming to escrows has been accumulated over the years from performing Trusts in Safe Harbor? Isn't that what Dmdmd2020 and Large Green are getting at, as well?
Let's hope Dmdmd2020 is "on to something" for escrows. What could derail this thesis?
IF Large Green has this "pegged" accurately, how can escrows not have a lot of "high dollar" potential? "1) JPMC did not acquire ownership of any mortgage loans (whether it be WMB portfolio loans = $231 billion, or Securitized loans in MBS Trusts created by WMI subsidiaries = $692 billion from 2000-20008).
All securitized loans had defective chains of title, thus the rightful owners are the last verifiable entity in the chain of title (i.e. WMI subsidiaries that acted as originators/ sponsors/ depositors) and ultimately the WMI Escrow Marker Holders are the rightful owners of WMI subsidiaries.
2) JPMC only acquired the servicing rights."
Folks, what would be "fair and reasonable" for escrows commons after all these years? Would $2 per escrows share qualify as "fair and reasonable"? Wonder how the "hedgies" would answer that?
Royal Dude, thanks a bunch.
rockie, do you know if $10-11B coming back would mean roughly $2 for commons per escrows share?
Interesting garyhavlo. Thanks. I thought I read that, with the number releasing, $10B be would bring around $2 per escrows share.
Wonder if Willy still has a "boatload" of commons/escrows?
thanks silly. Would that be around $2 per escrows share?
Windigo, xoom or anybody, what would 4B + 11 years interest come to now? Guesstimate. I'd like to end up with at least a buck per escrow after all this time.
Are escrows related to class 19 or 22?
AZCowboy, I like your optimism. And you seem to have some facts to back up your optimism.
Az, what about the 4B? Is there no doubt in your mind escrows is getting 4B minimum? I believe I recently read something that alluded to that 4B return number?
So AZ, is there no doubt in your mind escrows is getting 4B minimum?
What's more realistic, 4B or 16B ?
So AZ feels, "the uq holders will get 4 billion to split." What's that around .75 per escrow share?
Wonder what Rosen's true attitude is regarding escrows. Is he for escrows getting paid or against?
What's the latest calculation/speculation as to what, realistically, escrows could get? If anything comes, will it come, mainly, from trusts that are in safe harbor? Will anything, possibly, come from JPM paying book value for WM assets they received?
If anything is coming, how long after BK closes can we expect to get paid?
Considering the signed releases, if escrows "gets skunked", what are our options to try to get "fair and reasonable"?
Any sincere attempt to answer these important questions, that I'm sure many escrows holders are wondering about, will be greatly appreciated.
Does Tepper have a lot of escrows ?
Does Tepper still have any involvement with the holding company/escrows situation?
Does Tepper have escrows or is he involved through a hedge fund?
SamuraiProgrammer, thanks for your input.
BINGO LuckyPanda ! "I would be much more comfortable if we had an equity comitte still around at this point with some legal representation."
What are our alternatives if indeed, "nothing for escrow"?
AzCowboy, has Rosen been "bluffing" with his "nothing for escrow" claims?
What is Alice's claim doing to help escrows?
Is 9/26/19 a significant date for escrows?
LuckyPanda, I agree whole-heartedly. What can we do if "something smells"?
LG, "a list of Entities to which distribution checks have been issued pursuant to the Plan on February 25, 2019". Could escrows holders be one of "Entities"? Where is this "LIST OF DISTRIBUTION CHECKS"? Is it available to the public?
Boris, who do the releases protect from lawsuits and who aren't protected? How does that work?
RD, what's going on on Aug. 27 that's noteworthy?
When would be the earliest we could get an escrows distribution? Wishful thinking, I know. What needs to happen before any chance?
BINGO, Calgary2! Hope it happens for the sake of fairness. Like in "Fair and Reasonable".
That's precisely what's needed, a thorough accounting by an independent accounting firm. For sure, if there is nothing close to "fair and reasonable", escrows needs to find a way to get the court to authorize a full accounting of assets.
lodas, is RICO a possibility?
