Told you I couldn't see but it looked like a big grouper to me. Man that's a big fish !!! I personally would of at least mounted the head. Yes your right about them being called jewfish when they attain a certain size but I don't know what it is.
Where was that big bass caught ?
Which one of you guys bagged that big grouper in the pic at the top of the page ???
Did I also mention that I can't see either. I thought that was ONEBIG not ONEBGG, sorry ONE...........
thx. for the wellcome there big but i don't have those special attributes unless you just spelled my alias wrong !! LOL !!
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Your being to kind !! LOL !!
Your right evan that's to good for him. I say he cleans the head bare handed with pure amonia, no cut !!!! That way we still keep the fish around !!!!
Don't worry Rick we still luv ya !!! LOL !!!
Yes I see !!!! Maybe a little keelhauling is in order for the good captain !!! Whatta ya say !!! LOL !!!
arrrr matey.... you look pretty good on the end of a rope !!!!
Will be heading into the delaware bay tomorrow morning for stripers. Any of you guys feel like going instead of sitting here talking about fish ???? You can't catch'm on the couch !!!LOL !!!
You bet !!! I'm surprised you didn't tell me about this board !!!!!
thx, eom.
Catch your own 12 pounds of bass !!!!! What's up Larry !!!!
Was just curious because we have the Cape May Mid Atlantic tourney over here where I'm at. Though I havn't followed it in quite a few years. The last I heard was like 15k to get in and that didn't cover all the categories either. And then if you wanna get in where the real money is you'd have to get in the calcutta and that info is only available to the participants !!!!! and run by them as well !!!
Any idea what the entry fee was ?
Got more pics on here if you feel like sift'n through them. Plus a whole lotta other fine catch's from other fisherman as well. Enjoy !!!!!!!

O.K. Buck here's my tale I mean story..........
As always I look forward to fishing full and new moon phases. All my largest fish come from these periods of the month with the exception of a better than 60 pound bass that I lost at the boat after a very long and gruling battle. But thats another story !!!
Fishing in my backyard is a convenience that I'm lucky to have but doesn't always produce because the fish are not always there. Just last week I was wondering to myself why I never caught a large bass in this river for the amount of time I have put into it. Large bass to me are the ones that exceed 40 pounds. Well that sure changed that morning.
I scooped up a herring from the bait pool and put an 8/0 owner ssw baitholder into the fish just in front of the dorsal and proceeded to wade out into the water. As I aproached the area where I usually stand I started to feed the herring line and try and manipulate it into where I call the strike zone. It's an area coming out from under the bridge where there is a ledge leading into and tapering to a deep hole of 22ft. at high tide. For those of you who have live lined herring from shore or wading know how frustrating this can be at times. But anyway this bait was cooperating. My bait was swimming back and forth along the ledge but seemed hesitant to go anywhere near the hole. I was starting to grow impatient with the bait as it would not go where I wanted. But needless to say on it's next pass along the ledge it went into the hole.
From my accumulated experiance of watching many a herring swim on the end of my line I could immediately sense that something was up and that is why the herring was avoiding going any where near the hole.
All of a sudden the float submerged in a way I knew was a bass taking it, nothing spectacular but the raw anticipation of what was about to go down. I let the fish feel comfortable with the bait and then reeled into the fish and wailed back with the rod. Yeah baby I'm on..... went through my head !!!! All hell started to break loose as the fish came outa the hole and was heading for the bridge. I couldn't let her go under and through or it would of been the end. So I slowed her up to get her to turn and come back my way. This is when I realized I had that big fish I never caught in the river. As I put the breaks on her and got her to come back she started to come to the surface made a rather large swirl in the water but didn't give me any visual. She proceeded to come back the same way she left and I knew she wanted to go back in that hole. Knowing that I had to reposition myself and get another angle on the fish because there are obstructions in that hole that I know this fish wanted to reintroduce me to. So as the fish went back from where it came I went towards the bridge and proceeded to raise the fish to the surface and up from the hole. And to the surface she came and I got my first look. She was big, the water exploded and my heart began to race. I gotta get her outa the deep water and up on the flat or she'll stick it to me. She began another run for the bridge peeling line off the spool but this time on the other side of the channel from me. I started walking backwards slowly as the fish made run after run from side to side making me sweat the bridge and the hole. Finally I got her up over the ledge and we made eye contact at about twenty feet when she came to the surface in about 3 feet of water. She didn't like me and sprinted one more time to the channel and bridge. This is when I really started to wonder if I was going to catch this fish. You see these fish usually don't put up this much of a fight due to the stress from the transition from salt to freshwater. But I was willing to deal with it. Now I got that feeling that this test of endurance was about to come to an end. I started bringing the fish to the flat again and this time she was staying on it. The whole time I had her on it, the vision of that big bass in the bay spitting the hook and lead into my chest was going through my head. Well this fish surely made her presence known in the shallow water. Water was flying everywhere but I could see that she was done. I gently eased her to shallower water where I could stick my hand in her gill and thumb in the corner of her mouth and pull this beast up out of the water. It took a few attempts but I did it.
Tight lines and may God bless you all.

You see that 400 share trade at .03 ???? Not a bear trap but bear chit !!!!
Well hellooooooooo there !!!!!!! Nice to see ya on the boards again !!!!!
Like to see it if I could. Tell'm I said congrats !!!!
shares to market cap dictate price. So in the pos market we have pos values. Which should be enough to justify the pos price. I don't know Capt'n, but those are my thoughts at the moment.
Allright then will talk to ya later. eom.
HAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!!!! LOL !!!!!!
Same here my friend, just wish we could do some fish'n. Might just have to let rager run wild, whatta you think !!!! LOL !!!! HAHAHAHAHAA!!!!
Hey Capt it's 10:24 where I'm at. Is that a 3 hour time dif from you ????? thx..........
Rediculous isn't it !!!!! I've been playing for about 2 hours now and my high score is 949. The funniest part though is I still manage to get these great scores of 26 and 32 !!!!
Thx, I found it both amusing and funny !!!!
Sounds like a beautiful day. Glad you enjoyed it !!!!
Then ya shoulda tried using whatever ya caught as bait !! Livelining it might of produced something bigger, that is if anything bigger was around feeding on them to begin with. Just a thought.......
Any day on the water beats one on land in my book and I bet you had fun. That's all that counts !!!!!
Capt'n, fish pictures today ???eom.
Wonder who did their third party testing ? and do they have a patent or are they just licensed to use someone else's ? Unless I missed it I don't see any mention of it in any of the pr's. Do you ? Kinda curious myself........
To tell you the truth I'm flaborgasted to say the least. As far as our turn is concerned I'm in on the bottom and can hardly contain myself for what's to come !!!!!
You see how their pumping that ARGY, what a crock of shit !!!!!
Not sure......trying to figure out what kind of posting privlidges he has I guess or just a little busy maybe, I don't know.........
That's all of anything I've heard regarding it myself.
Jeff I stole that from over on rb.

Alternate Energy Corp.'s Affordable Hydrogen Program Achieves Purity Goal Ahead Of Schedule: Positive Lab Results Pave Way For Immediate Fuel Cell Testing
Monday September 15, 4:30 pm ET
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 2003--Alternate Energy Corporation (OTCBB:ARGY - News) proudly announced today successful results from the final phase of purity testing of the company's affordable hydrogen process. At the conclusion of this critical testing stage, AEC exceeded expectations by producing hydrogen that fell well within required purity limits needed to run their joint venture partner's alkaline fuel cell. These series of tests mark a new chapter in hydrogen production history.
While the excitement over hydrogen energy solutions has reached global levels recently, the science had always been constrained by two dynamics. The first stipulated that any hydrogen intended for energy production needed to meet very high purity standards. The second required that this very-pure hydrogen had to be generated at affordable prices. Unless both of these objectives were achieved, hydrogen-fueled energy would never become popular.
According to Alternate Energy Corp CEO Blaine Froats, "This most recent round of testing has demonstrated what we at the company had been hoping for all along - AEC's new technology produces very-pure hydrogen, more economically than any other system currently in use."
With the hydrogen purity objectives achieved, AEC will move quickly with a live test, evaluating their ability to power a fuel cell. Last Month, AEC announced that a leading alkaline fuel cell technology company had signed a Letter of Intent with the company. The proposed joint venture plans to combine affordable, reliable fuel cells and the very economical hydrogen to begin testing of complete stationary electric power systems.
"AEC's low-cost hydrogen combined with the affordable fuel cells will finally help enable residential and commercial customers generate their own electricity off-grid at very competitive prices. These test results have us all very excited," says Mr. Froats.
Over the past two weeks, AEC had conducted purity tests of their self-produced hydrogen by an independent laboratory to ensure that it met the quality standards required to run the alkaline fuel cell. Though very positive, the results of these first two tests possessed approximately 4% of one unacceptable impurity, which needed to be removed.
According to AEC's Jurgen Volling, P. Eng, Vice President Application Engineering for the hydrogen program, "We suspected air contamination from the start as our system was designed to produce nearly pure hydrogen. Through subsequent inspection, our engineering staff was able to identify the origin of the low-level impurity. They discovered that ambient air was leaking past one of the seals and contaminating our samples. This was great news for us because it meant that the impurities were not a product of the process itself."
After repairing the leak, the company's technicians went on to make some minor, yet significant improvements to their hydrogen production system. The final hydrogen purity test results speak for themselves; AEC was able to reduce the impurity from 5000 ppm (parts per million) to only 17ppm, representing a 99.7% reduction and well below the 100 ppm benchmark that was required to run the fuel cell.
"We were always confident that this level of purity could be obtained, but needed to prove it. Now that this important analysis phase has been a success, we will immediately move into fuel cell testing", said Mr. Volling.
