Trying to find the balance between being the person my dog thinks I am and the people our parents warned us about.

I would agree. Spread is ridiculous today. Obviously something's up; let's just hope it is not the stock price going down!
for a company that supposedly had these done and posted on their website last October (albeit unaudited), this is taking a painfully slow amount of time to get thru the 2009 10K. Then there is still the 1st qtr 2010 10Q and the 2nd qtr will be due Aug 15. I just hope they "get 'r done" as Larry the Cable Guy says. On the other hand, you don't spend this type of time and money for nothing.
YHGG PR at http://www.pr-inside.com/yasheng-group-positioned-for-steady-growth-r2009904.htm. also at Marketwatch.com
RE: YHGG - this sentence from the PR leads me to think that the 2009 10K is nearly done - "With total assets of approximately $1.7 billion and over 15,000 employees, Yasheng Group has 155,097,355 shares issued and outstanding as of December 31, 2009." Note date cited.
"...Getting so much resistance from behind
I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down..."
LOL
I did. bargain basement price.

Moresby, the best source is www.freepatentsonline.com. It is a free service, but you must register. Use the "advanced search feature" and check all boxes for US patents, applications, EP (European Patent office), Japan abstracts, and WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization). This will search 142 countries that are patent members of WIPO - you would have to search about 40 other non-members individually, but places like Guyana don't think have public databases, but technologically sophisticated countries like Taiwan do. Sometimes, even this does not turn up all patentrs and I have to search the SIPO and Korean sites separately.
Your search terms will be:
an/"andrea electronics"
apd/01/01/2009->06/11/2010
be sure to enter the terms exactly. The frustrating thing about patent searching is that terms have to be exact to the letter - not like Google's "did you mean..." If you have time, play with it to research other tech plays you might have. Good research skill to have.
Another thing I like about freepatentsonline is that you can download pdfs of the entire patent or published application. The USPTO charges you for the drawings, plus it is limited to only US patents/applications.
Important note - provisional patent applications are not published. Also, a company could have filed a patent, but the various patent agencies will not publish them until 18 months after the priority date. As a result, a company may claim they have something "patent pending". In the case of provisional patents, that does not mean a whole lot. In the latter case, a real patent is pending, but just not published for the world to see.
Seems like once the first 10Q for a year comes out, the other 2 follow in 4 - 5 business days. I'd expect the other 2 by end of week and 10K about 10 days later. Hopefully by 4th of July they should be caught up in time to put the beer in the cooler and steaks on the grill!
still watching this, too. Seems to be very sensitive to any trades
ANDR - I tried, but can't find any news. The only thing I can figure is that they may have moved ahead with international stage (foreign country) patent filings based on their current PCT application WO2009/07623 A1, which needs to be done by June 11. Pure speculation on my part, but 1) I work in patents and licensing, and 2) I've skim read through the patent application and it looks like it would be a good seller. Applicable to a wide variety of settings.
Again, pure speculation, but in looking through past 10Q's and K's over the years, the make or break factor in profitability for ANDR has been in licensing income.
Some pointers: 1) one does not need to have an issued patent to license the technology to another partner, such as an OEM and recieve royalties, 2)a PCT is an international patent application filing thru the World International Patent Organization (WIPO) and genrally (with exception for a few countries and non-WIPO members) an applicant has 30 months from the priority date (Dec 11, 2007 in this case) to file full (utility) patent applications in the member countries. 3) filing national stage applicaions is a very expensive proposition and depending on the number of countires in which you file, the filing fees (not including attorney/foreign associate costs) easily can run close to $200K. So, you only do this if you are dead serious/fkn certain of your technology and have a potential licensee to pick up costs (oy, believe me, I should know - I am looking at $180+K in fees in next 4-16 months on a biotech technology).
Again, pure speculation FWIFW. GLTA.
Rig - ended up with eggplant parmagiana, salad, linguini & sauce, garlic rolls, chianti and sausauge/peppers/onion for appetizer. I feel like a python that just swallowed an elephant! Hopefully, andr will gap up in the morning. Good luck!

exactly, been in and out for years. Buy low, set sell on auto-pilot. Rigatoni and a bottle of Montepulciano for dinner sounds good.
yep, scouring for any news, but none to be found

2008 10K finally filed yesterday. 2009 10Qs next...
YHGG filed second and 3rd qtr 2008 10Qs after the bell yesterday. Getting closer to becoming fully reporting. Looks like 2008 10K and 2009 10Qs and 10K needed.
second and third qtr 10Qs for '08 filed after bell yesterday. Now we just need 2008 10K and 2009 filings...
Yep. definitely watching YHGG since I have a position
Not like he is betting big. But, it's a start. Thanks fore the news.
First 2008 10Q filed this moning 5/10/2010. eom
YHGG filed the first of their 2008 10Q's this morning. 2 more 2008 10Qs to go, then 2008 and 2009 10Ks...
2008 1st qtr 10Q filed today. eom
Not bad, not good. Basically they are at breakeven, but with no debt and trading at book value - 0.07. Their last 2 qtrs have been barely profitable, and trailing twelve month eps is slight loss of less than 1 cent per share.
Thx Ronnie. This time around I have been in since .63, and accumulating more. I think once the 2008 filings are complete, along with 2009 10K, and next the 1st qtr 10Q (due May 15), YHGG will be up to date and poised to uplist to either AMEX (need min. share price of $3) or NASDAQ (min share price of $4). At that point we should realize $8 - $10/sh. That may take us thru most of the summer, but it will be worth the wait.
If you have patience, check out ANDR.OB and see if you can buy at .07 or below. No promises of getting rich, but possible 2 or 3 bagger based on purchase price
Good luck to you.
I've been in and out of YHGG a couple fo times in the last 2-3 years for small gains from under $1 to over $1. I was really surprised when the first filing hit March 16 and then the other at the end of March. Once I spotted that their accounting firm got registered with the PCAOB, then I figured that after years of sayng they would register, that they were finally serious.
YHGG filed their 2007 10K last night and it posted at sec.gov this morning. Now all is need are 2008 filings and 2009 10K
YHGG filed their 2007 10K it posted at sec.gov this morning

Promotion? What promotion? LOL. At least they are frugal and not blowing $$ on fluff PRs like a lot of small microcaps.
andr tends to trade in an annual range anywhere from a low of .04 to .18, usually within .06 - .12. They mostly break even, but about evry 4th or 5th quarter it posts a modest net income that pushes the pps to .12+. Owning andr is sort of like having herpes or malaria, you never know when the next outbreak will occur.
Sales seem pretty constant, but it seems that their licensing income is what makes the difference. If you have money to sit on and are patient for a 2X - 3X gain, then andr is one to buy, set a sell target (GTC), and fuggediboutit.
"The growing middle class in China wants safer food products, and they realize how important organic foods are. You must understand it goes good with their culture, and fits right in with their eastern style medicine, and holistic health habits."
ahhh... explains why they export all of the dangerous stuff (drywall, lead painted toys, etc) overseas to the non-Chinese.
