47 lbs Blue Catfish caught in Missouri River, East of Kansas City, MO, on May 7th. Caught using cut drum on rod and reel with 20# test line. Caught by my brother
Ron Colby, The fish weighed 6.2 lbs, 26+" length, 13 1/4 girth. I am submitting an application to the DWR for certification as a new state C&R record for Cutthroat Trout. I was using a Warrior Elite rod. Lucky Craft Pointer 78 minnow, 12# Berkley Vanish.
Largemouth Bass
This peacock bass was caught in South Miami by Greg Napier using a jig.
Here is a shot of our 590 lb. Black Marlin we caught on the Pacific side of lands end November 15th 2002! We went out late on the Barracuda and decided to pass on the Dorado and take our chances on getting a Marlin. We hooked this fish around 10:00 AM. It took a lure in the spread and actually passed the boat before we could get to the rod (so much for the $20 worth of bait). Running 50 lb test on a small Penn. The fight lasted 3 hours 20 minutes. Chuy and Victor were an absolutely incredible crew and I would of never been able to land this without them. I also need to give my fishing/drinking buddy Strom Snyder a big thanks for hanging in there with me! We had some great stories to tell over the tequila Friday night. This was my second Marlin in Cabo (the other was a 150 lb Striped) and I will definitely be doing it again next season! Robert Post Foslom, CA
