I’m not even thinking about thinking about selling..,..,,
Me thinks thou doth protest too much, to the grapefruit juice theory pushers
Hmmmm, very interesting indeed!
The title says Clinical Brain Cancer Trial Update
Now would anyone expect the session is going to regurgitate the same blinded data that has been presented more than a year, maybe two, ago?
What kind of update would that be? A Snore!
By this time I refuse to believe LL and nwbo remain blinded, and they must have the TLD and the statistical analyses, they have to because the elapsed time since data lock is substantial even considering Covid.
Therefore logically they very likely are able to provide a true update with TLD results at a minimum.
This LL session is the same day as the ASM and might even be at the same time or within an hour.
As Fred Sanford use to say, I think this is the big one!
You all see it the same? Opposing views?
These soul-less types make the oldest profession look honorable in comparison because they put their gains above any thing else including the patients and families that so badly need the help to battle their disease with some QOL and dignity!
Don’t count that or any other BS attack out.
I would have thought the shorts milked the easy money out by now and would be positioning for the upside play if anything
Makes me wonder if there’s more than shorting involved?
Yes, so if we keep second guessing LP about sticking with the tight lipped strategy that arose from the BS AF and baseless lawsuits years ago, here it is again as we approach good news.
These types of things are not being pursued by the SEC so after the pharma bro prosecution scare wore off, the roaches are coming out of their dark places again it appears.
LC
Where did those questions come from since I don’t remember any such replies?
Very interesting!
Would that give the Government agency some skin in the game and some of the eventual glory?
There was a time when there “happened “ to be a coincidence of BS AF pieces and a number of frivolous lawsuits...,
Don’t believe in coincidences then or now, imho.
Maybe so, but Les never plays the blues on that show
It’s not just the size of the booth, it’s how it’s used.
This year I believe nwbo will use the booth to bring the dcvax-l journey to a first successful climax, the first of many for nwbo imho, some with multiple partners I bet.
It will be an even greater achievement if ASCO is going to be remote this year!
I remember watching Johnny Winter closely as he played and marveling at the consistently precise and sure movement of his hands and fingers, which indeed were long and slim.
SRV looked to me to have very strong hands and fingers, playing those fat gauge strings with ease, getting those really full and round tones!
Then Jimmy Hendrix supposedly played the thinner 9’s and tuned down to E flat making the strings really light but OMG he could do anything and regardless of how much I tried to see what he was doing, he so effortlessly manipulated the guitar to make whatever sounds he wanted. I don’t know if the LSD played a significant part but Jimmy wrote songs and made music that was different, like from another place.
Btw, if you don’t have Jimmy’s blues album you must listen to it because he was masterful.
Lastly, B B Kings tone was special, and he could make one extended note sound better than most players melodies. He was slipping some the last time I saw him, but I miss him and his slipping was still special.
Sorry to everyone not interested in this non nwbo stuff.
I mean let’s face it, he and other wealthy jerseyites have the means to keep paying up.
Heck even I can suck it up and handover my social security benefits to the state and draw down retirement accounts (and pay more Federal taxes and Medicare premiums/IRMAAs) but when there are less costly alternatives in warmer states that essentially exempt your retirement income as well, the financial math becomes compelling. Then adding in proximity to your children who have left NJ for similar reasons and there you go!
I know there are wealthy people who don’t have to pay a big property tax bill because they claim they operate a farm, but I’m not inclined to go that route and the state might be getting more rigorous about that status.
I heard there were quite a few bee farmers that happened to have multimillion dollar “farmhouses “
Clever and funny!
My son and I were in the third row for Johnny Winter and it was loud. He looked frail and like he could barely walk, but he sure had no problem playing that guitar!
Years later I almost drove out to New Hope, Pa shortly before he died because he was headlining a gig there. I forget if he died right after or just before that gig.
RIP !
Yes but never been in there. Maybe not long from now after some more vaccine shots in arms.
Yes, 10 minute drive to the shoreline and right at the inner end of the Navesink River which is really like being at the water with beautiful views of the river. The Navesink opens up to the bay/Atlantic Ocean at the other end so there are marinas and boat docks all along the river.
Really nice here but the taxes are forcing me to move south and so are many others including quite wealthy people. Even Bon Jovi is moving.
But again it’s centrally located between NYC, Philadelphia, Atlantic City/Cape May... access to hundreds of miles of beaches, culture (yes it’s not just like the Jersey Shore series), medical centers and specialists, and countless good restaurants and cool towns, etc
And many great blues players do gigs at the Count Basie and rock at Asbury Park, darn I’ll miss the place
He had performed real close in Red Bank, NJ at the Count Basie, wearing that black & white cow leather pattern jacket, but I didn’t know about and hadn’t heard him yet.
A friend of mine who I didn’t know at the time, was at that SRV show. I also just missed Hendrix live.
But since then I’ve seen B B King and Buddy Guy several times, Johnny Winter, and Eric Clapton from floor seats just around 20 feet away completely unobstructed.....
It was like, I am not worthy
So good! Thanks!
I suggest we put Di and LP on notice that we don’t want another BS shareholder discussion that gets shut down immediately and before it was possible for any shareholder to get a word in at all.
I’m an admirer of LP but that BS move last year really bothered me!
I love La Grange!
a huh huh huh....
And I don’t... think... I’m... mistaken
Stevie Ray was amazing!
I first saw/heard him on Austin City Limits. I was channel surfing my TV and happened onto my local PBS channel and this incredible blues guitarist in a poncho and cowboy hat playing the heck out of blues like I never experienced before!
That was it, I was mesmerized and found all the SRV music and videos I could.
Did I mention you’ll enjoy listening to SRV !
Yea, I hear ya... I’m no longer a fan of liver either.... well that leaves the Chianti!!!
No doubt there would have to be contractual agreements of how the sales money gets split, or an equivalent mechanism.
For general (non drug) retail, the wholesaler provides the goods at wholesale price (around half of retail) but I suspect medicinal drugs and procedures would not be like selling tools at hardware stores. There’s also the medical centers which administer the doses/shots to compensate somehow.
There must be posters here, like those working in hospitals, who can shed more light and educate us.
Oh, I forget, isn’t Advent operating Sawston for NWBO? If so, they gotta Show me the money, so to speak- cha ching !
Does anyone pay Johnson & Johnson directly for anything?
Retail pay retailers and the companies do their accounting among themselves, nes pa (sp? Pardon my French)
I think 3 nearsighted statisticians armed with abacus would have finished the analyses by now, just saying
You’re not alone. I’ve been still buying most days including today, and keep raising my cost basis.
I’ve lost all discipline
Poor man, you can change it up a little, like pasta with oil and garlic, or pasta with sauce... you can sauté some diced eggplant and cut cherry tomatoes and add them too... or there’s always some liver with fava beans and a little Chianti.... (cue disgusting slurping sucking sound)
That’s it! Thanks!
Per LL, better outcomes seem to correlate with better resections/minimized tumor load for straight dcvax.
Dunno if the more recent dcvax/pd1/xxx combo approach that was indicated as a tumor killing treatment would have similar correlation or not, but my simplistic guess is it would always be better to start with less tumor load.
Actually I think I remember years ago reading about some miraculous remissions in response to something like a bad virus. I think this far predates immunotherapy vaccines. Or maybe I’m having a deja vu moment.
Anyone else remember this precedent?
Anyone? Buehler?
Yea, the thing I didn’t like about last year’s ASM is that Linda opened the meeting to shareholder questions but declared no questions and done just milliseconds later, followed by immediately declaring the ASM concluded.
I mean I don’t think she even waited for the round trip propagation delay between the conference bridge and us attendees
(There are a lot of engineers on this board who might enjoy the technical reference)
As much as I have respect and faith in Linda, that rush move struck me negatively and I didn’t like it at all.
Yes, I agree that Linda will be careful to not put Dcvax in any arrangement that could give an acquirer enough control to “pocket veto” or otherwise keep Dcvax-based treatments from achieving full potential.
That’s why I think a BP buyout will be tricky. Linda didn’t put so much of her life into this effort to have it limited after a hopefully successful 13 year phase 3 and approval obstacle course fraught with all manner of nefarious attacks!
Ok, so FDA is lead however each country retains independence of approval and timing. Provides efficiency of going through one common process and application submittal document(s) instead of multiple independent efforts.
Thanks for your post
Does Orbis necessarily result in simultaneous approval by UK and FDA?
If so, I learned something from you today and I thank you!
I agree with your points, however my comment was narrowly about Linda Powers, who I have for a long time believed is trying to improve the lot of cancer victims, having experienced her father’s cancer suffering, as similarly Linda Liau went through with her mother.
Although LP stands to become a billionaire if nwbo/dcvax succeeds, I suspect bringing a successful new cancer treatment with exceptional quality of life for the patients is her primary goal.
Thanks for the info! I didn’t know Milken was involved in novocure.
I know he survived cancer, prostate I think, and I’d really like to know what his recipe is for his anti-prostate shakes/smoothies that he shared with Joe Torre.
I believe LP was married to a billionaire, however she’s wealthy in her own right. That’s a key reason for dismissing the FUD about her scheming to extend her paychecks; she doesn’t need it and I believe she won’t sell out Dcvax for a quick (billion) bucks.... as they say... this time it’s personal!
If UK and/or EU approve first, the FDA would be under pressure to approve promptly, especially given President Biden’s challenge to cure cancer, imho.
