Weren't we in Orlando then Perk?? I hope I don't have to wait until next Oct 11th thru the 13th of 2009 for those Pics:)
I've got some "left-over" pics from Wednesday Oct. 15th. Nothing too interesting.
I'm home in CowHampshre now, and can't seem to find the cord to download on my iMac:) YuuYou know we're kind of slow up here:)
Just before I went to the Villages to play golf on Wednesday, I did get the chance to post the "flag ceremony". I thought that was important, and as I said it was one of the most moving moments of my EI experience. As far as I know, I was the only one there from this board who witnessed this.
As Bee had mentioned, this "ceremony" was an unrehearsed event that took place at various booths at the NFDA convention in Orlando.
This ceremony, IMHO, was nothing of the slapstick or corny variety, but a ceremony that was appropriate for this venue. I don't know whether the Navy people were actually "Navy" or not. This Never was a question that crossed my mind. What I can tell you was that the gentleman playing the Bugle, did just that, played taps to perfection. As a long time trumpet player who has played taps at various ceremonies, this was one of the best I have ever heard. It was "flawless!!"
I'm a straight shooter folks and am just telling you how I saw it:)
The flag "presenting" ceremony was not rehearsed, But the lady who received the Flag, was Gail Kelly, co-owner of Waterloo International Funeral Supply. She was asked just prior to the folding of the flag if she would sit in the chair and accept the flag, as a courtesy. This is how this happened. I can tell you this, that when I saw her preparing to accept the flag, I took a look over at her husband Dean, and he had tears in his eyes. I went over to him, and all he could say was, Wow! This is how the flag ceremony took place. A very Moving Experience for me, and one that I will never forget.
Yours Always in Eternal Faith,
Heppie:)
'dr',
I'm Eternally sorry. Had to "sell".
Needed $3,000. today. There was a great deal on left over Sam Summer that I couldn't pass up!!
:)
Hi Chris,
I'll "ditto" Lurkers response to your post and add a little.
As far as the "assumption" that ETNL being bought out by a name brand, like Batesville?? That would be a Travesty Chris:( EI has come too far to take a small time profit and ride off into the sunset. It's the Final Frontier Chris!! If anyone was a buyout candidate, my guess would be Wilbert because of EI's relationship with them. Let's put this out of our memory banks. It is Not going to happen:)
Clint Mytych is an entrepeneur,a visionary, in this Final Frontier, and looks to cash in on selling these branded/Licensed funerary products. People may not be crazy about Clint's "way" of cashing in on that Final Frontier, But I defer to the Baby Boomers in EI corporate with Donna, Nick, and JP to "oversee" the operation. This isn't a 10 or 20 year investment for me. As Bee has mentioned, my target date for my ETNL Investment being "used" for my retirement annuity is "March 6, 2012". I will give EI, and the stock ETNL this time in my investment.
Chris, this stock is a long term play:)
As far as the "appearance" that most of the long-term holders are getting impatient?? After the NFDA convention in Orlando Chris, I am personally "EXCITED" about my investment in ETNL:)
EI making $$?? It's not about the making a profit Chris with EI, it is the expectations that EI starting in 2009 will increase Revenues substantially from quarter to quarter to quarter. Profitability will come anywhere from 1-2 years IMHO, and as Dean Kelly, the Owner of Waterloo has indicated to us.
A little more about the "getting impatient" Chris, and as Lurker has mentioned being down 85%!!
I will get "impatient" Chris when my ETrade letter comes in with my ETNL shares designated as Worthless Securities:)
Hang in there, and keep doing your DD.
Yours Always in Eternal FAith,
Heppie:)
p.s. As far as I know Chris, I haven't "lost" a cent on ETNL:)
You seemed to do very well at the NFDA Buffet!! Where's my $10. bucks??
:)
Again dh,
The information that I am referring to comes from a brochure available at the NFDA convention in Orlando that was given out to interested FD's, and FH owners that came to the EI booth. This brochure was designed specifically for the EI booth and their display.
Now the DD is beginning on Waterloo:)
Good Evening EI/ETNL Open Believers and Trekkies,
Just a little "clarification" on the WATERLOO brochure that I have quoted.
This brochure was made exclusively for the NFDA convention in Orlando. The information that I mentioned is on the inside portion of the brochure, not the front page. Just a front and back cover involved with the two pages in the middle. EI's caskets are featured bottom left with a Red Sox urn also shown.
The front Cover of the Brochure simply reads in large letters with the 00(global logo's) at the end of "Waterl"OO"-
WATERLOO
LEADING THE
CHANGE IN THE
FUNERAL
INDUSTRY
Bee is correct about Waterloo only being involved in manufacturing and distributing the Caskets at this point. They do have the capability of manufacturing and distributing the urns also, and IMHO feel that they will for EI.
WATERLOO is also Huge in the marketing aspect of the Funeral Industry and selling related funeral products. This is one of the reasons that I am so Excited about WATERLOO and the role that they could play in the development of EI in this market.
"Working Together??" I see Eternal Image doing what they do best, and that is acquiring Licensed Funerary Products. I see Waterloo taking care of the marketing of these products, manufacturing, and distributing the products to the FH's. They are the best of the best in marketing caskets and urns. Any help from EI corporate and others at this point will just be a bonus!!
Waterloo's got the Technical support and savvy in this business to know what to do with a start-up company like EI. They believe in Eternal Image, and see a win, win situation for all involved.
As always,
Yours in Eternal Faith,
Heppie:)
OK Lurker,
I don't want you to kill yourself over this "national/International? distributor...still have not gotten "actual" PR stuff-
From a "spy" at the convention Lurker, I will defer the DD to you and others on this board, because I am just a simple rural letter carrier working for the USPS in NH:)
From Waterloo "International" Funeral Supply(in their brochure handed out at the convention)-
One Source. Domestic and Import.
*Waterloo is the exclusive Laizhou and Zhongyi casket representatives in the U.S. and Canada. Laizhou and Zhongyi are widely recognized a the world's leading and innovative manufacturers of metal and wood caskets.
* Our core casket line is always available for immediate delivery.
*Mix'n Match factory direct containers.
*Our domestic manufacturing plant produces caskets, patented cremation containers, and eco-friendly burial options.
So There!! I said it. Are you happy now???????????????????????????????????????:)
Would you like me to "continue" on this page that features EI's Caskets and Urns??
PARTNER with INDUSTRY INNOVATORS.
*A preferred partner and national distributor of Eternal Image line of caskets and urns.
* Patented casket and cremation concepts unique to the funeral industry available ONLY through Waterloo.
From a friendly "spy":)
p.s.- NOW DO YOUR DD!!
Good Evening Monk,
Sorry I haven't welcomed you earlier, but I was cleaning up the house, putting all my can goods in alphabetical order, in categories, etc... whatever us "monks" have to do:)
Don't know where the conversation has been going, But the Star Trek verbeage in this post "triggered" of course another NFDA moment that I had in Orlando on the convention floor!!
I forget what company it was (Living Care, or something like that) but I was talking to the representative from the company because they were also displaying the "Red Sox MLB urn" at their booth. He was from Alabama, and we talked a little about Eternal Image.
He told me the story of this guy that had come by in the morning, saw the MLB urn, and said, "Hey, where are the STAR TREK CASKETS??" I want one of those, and I want it now!! He went on about his Trekkie relationship and how many thousand's of dollars he had in trekkie outfits. It didn't matter what the Casket cost, he had to have one!!
True story, and I'm sticking to it. And this is the way it happens Folks!!
:)
Sorry about the typo's Mid:) Hope you get my drift!!
:)
Mid,
Didn't you hear my "criticism" of your post about the "economy", and how the funeral industry is not effected as much?? That was my point:)
Opinions and Faith absolutely don't move Stock Prices Mid, But they sure do make them "hold on" to what they've got and not Bail Out:))
It is all about sales Mid. From last year in Vegas to this year in Orlando, EI has made tremendous strides in this area. From "no sales" of Caskets, to actually selling Caskets?? Don't we have to start somewhere??
4th Quarter sales may be very low Mid, but IMHO, and from here on in, especially after the floodgates open on Dec. 15th for a bunch of these Caskets to become available, I think sales will continue to grow at a rapid pace, and one that "will" make the pps of ETNL go up:)
Distributorships, Licensing, and business cards from conventions are not sales Mid, But I was there!!:) They were selling these funerary widgets, and people were excited about their purchases!! Not just "leads" anymore Mid. That was Vegas, and is has stayed in Vegas!!:)
The Building Blocks have taken a bit more time than most of us would have liked Mid, But there is one hell of a foundation that is built now!!
Results are "surfacing" Mid, and Waterloo International Funeral Supply will have a big role in these results!!
I agree up-listing may not significantly change a lost Mid, but it will make them more transparent, and keep them honest.
Hang in there Mid. Sales and results are "ongoing" as we speak!!
Heppie:)
Dean Kelly from Waterloo is talking to me about someone from the Chicago White Sox(an "ex-ball player I think) who called up Dean after seeing the MLB casket in a brochure. An ex-player had just died like two day before, and he wanted a White Sox Casket pronto!!
The funeral was going to be in the next day or two. Unfortunately the White Sox casket for the convention was not "assembled" as of yet. Dean asked if the FH could hold off for an extra day:) The "timing" was not right.
The point here folks is not that EI missed the boat on this casket sale, But that people ACTUALLY WANT THE PRODUCT, and that the word is getting out there.
Think about the MLB ex-players, their families and friends. When the buying starts on these Caskets and Urns to the professional ball players themselves??
Game, Set, and Match, and you won't be able to stop it.
This thing called Eternal Image is not a "hula-hoop" fad(that made How Much $$??) in the funerary business. It's not going to go away.
Ever heard of a "season ticket" holder for MLB, or for that favorite Collegiate Team?? Ever heard of a passionate "Alumni"??
Yours Always in Eternal Faith,
Heppie:)
One of Two stories that were touching to me at the NFDA in Orlando.
A man comes in and goes right over to the Yankee's Casket. Nick goes over to him and starts a conversation.
This Gentleman starts breaking down into tears. This Casket is so Beautiful, it's gorgeous, and tears flow from this mans face. "My father passed away a couple of months ago. If only I had known about this Casket. He would have loved it. This is so Beautiful."
You had to be there folks, and this is how it works. And when you do see those EI MLB caskets and urns at a funeral, the marketing and free publicity for EI's products will reach literally hundreds, just at a single funeral. Not only the Family, but the loved ones and friends of the family will "pass the word" around about the experience. It's a snow-ball or domino effect that has no end:)
#2 story next:)
Hi Mid,
The funerary industry is a funny animal when it comes to an economical situation that we are in the midst of.
Customized Caskets "not" high on the priority list?? Usually tends to go the opposite way:) As Lurker has mentioned and others, there are usually Insurance Policy's that will cover aa customized casket or urn such as EI is marketing. Seeing the product in real life at that FH display Mid will seal the deal.
You've got to "Trust Me" mid on this one, because this is where I made the most $$. Go figure:) People tend to spend more in the funerary industry when things are Bad, like they are now!! Family loved ones see these caskets and Urns and there Radar Screens will be zeroed in on that product. The timing is right Mid for EI:)
Try and tell a loved one in this most delicate time of need Mid that these EI caskets and urns are "fluff products".
You may want to re-think your thoughts on this post:)
Yours Always in Eternal Faith,
Heppie:)
Good Evening EI/ETNL Open Believers and Trekkies,
'dr',
I apologize 'dr' for my post. Of course you are right. I'm just an old EI faithful here, and can't hold a candle to a "trekkie" when it comes to these woeful pps times of ETNL:(
(3) Trades yesterday, was not hot.
Bargain prices yet to come. Would seem that way looking at ETNL's track record.
Of course you are right 'dr' with the goings on of this Message Board. It is just that, and EI's documents and EI's updates will take precedence over any post on this board. I don't know "why" we don't get any PR'S now. Everyone says that there are a lot in the hopper, But we see none.
No business cards in abundance at the NFDA?? Lack of Interest?? Must have been.
Now 'dr' we just wait, as we did in Viva LasVegas for another tank in the pps, and another "perk bailout" to pay for EI's corporate salaries and bonuses. Travel Expenses for the month of October should sky rocket over the $2,000. figure!! Much farther to travel to Orlando this year.
Were there more than (3) trades today 'dr'?? I'm not a "trekkie" 'dr', But if you read anything into the fact that those (6), 100K "Buys" (at .016 at the ask) in the last hour and a half of the trading day were anything But "buys"(+) for ETNL, I probably should call up my ETrade account broker and find out if I really sold 600K:)
HOPE, FAITH, AND PATIENCE IS ALL THAT I HAVE LEFT 'dr'.
Yours Always in Eternal Faith,
Heppie:)
DR,
You better get these shares while their hot!!
I look for a Big Day today for ETNL. You may never see bargain prices at .016 again:) Of course this is IMHO:)
Maybe no company "updates" DR, but have you seen any of the "other" updates on this Board concerning the NFDA, or are they just "smoke and mirrors", and not legit!!:)
FYI- Didn't get any business cards at the EI booth. Too busy looking at all the great funerary products!!
Fish Bowl, DR?? Great Catch!! EI's theme with the SS Eternal Image and all that??
So you have been listening!!:)
Just again DR, IMHO, today will be a very Green day for ETNL. I just hope it doesn't screw up the Monday morning "scorecard" for "Jims" Trends:)
Yours Always in Eternal Faith,
Heppie:)
Sympathies go out to you BB.
Last year as I was thinking of the company Eternal Image and the stock ETNL, I decided to do my DD in my own home town with my local Funeral Home, which had been passed on down through generations. In a small NH area this FH has monopolized an area of about 60,000 people. We have been very close to these people for years and decided to give them a call regarding EI. They had never heard of them:)
As is the case BB with any start-up company, But especially the funeral business, it may take a lot longer to put your name on the map. The two brothers who now run this "mom and pop" funeral home business in my area have probably never gone to an NFDA convention:) FYI- They are a multi-million dollar operation today!! Why bother, they've got the market cornered, get a few periodicals a month, and life is good.
When I decided to go to the NFDA in Orlando this year and immerse myself in the land of the funeral industry, I called the "youngster" back again, and asked him again if he had "Ever" heard of Eternal Image. He said that after our talk in the previous year, that he had looked into the company, ordered a Red Sox urn for Display, and had sold a few:) It is true, "you can teach old dogs new tricks!!" He reinforced my feelings about traveling to Orlando and seeing for myself the company called Eternal Image and the new choices of products that are available in the funeral industry.
I'm sure your ex would be pleased with your choice:)
Yours Always in Eternal Faith,
Heppie;)
Hi BB,
Appreciate your sincerity. The Faith part is something that I believe you should hold onto concerning EI and their attempt to crack that Final Frontier in the funeral industry.
"Maybe" is OK for now:) And a great place to renew your Faith in EI. I'm glad that the photo's and posts have helped. I really have "just begun!!" with my thoughts of EI/ETNL and the future.
BB, and everyone out there on this Board. My break-even point on this stock called ETNL is between .08-.10, as I know a lot of other people are in the same boat. Not a "cop-out" but the truth- I haven't lost a Dime on ETNL and don't expect too:) Just my opinion, But after this up-list thing gets taken care of, and the last quarter earnings for ETNL come out(which should be very low), the Future for this Company and stock from the beginning of 2009 looks to be truly bright.
Just thought I'd respond to this. All the time I have for now. Be back later:)
Yours Always in Eternal Faith,
Heppie;)
"ELOQUENT??" I wouldn't go that far:)
Now, I'm really off to work:)
Sorry Bee, I see it was your post. Just change all the Ik's, to BEE's:)
:)
Good bye.
Before I go to work Ik, because I know NH wants me back on the job:)
To my amazement, at the NFDA, and at the EI booth, I actually went over to the Caskets and urns, touched them and looked at them, and GLORY BE, they were "REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I thought they were just Prototypes and Pictures on Display!!
I tried to pick up an MLB Casket, But know!! It actually weighed 170 pounds!!
And the MLB cookie jars weighed about 10 pounds soaking wet!!
And the Star Trek Urn weighed in at around 7 pounds!! MERCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IK?? I think EI may actually be A REAL COMPANY!!!
I don't want to mislead anyone Ik, but I did actually "see" Nick and Tony writing down things, on what I think was an"ORDER FORM" with people that I actually think were other NFDA people wanting to BUY EI products!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:)
Heppie's cont. "tidbits" of the NFDA in Orlando-
Precious Moments urns "were not" at the Convention. It seems EI is looking to produce a "new and improved" PM urn, settling for nothing but the best. IMHO, this PM urn should be coming out in about a 90 day time frame, But of course you know we NEVER like to mention time-lines, so don't quote me on this. I said "about" didn't I??:) I think EI is concentrating on the production of the PM urn, because it should be a Huge seller. I believe the PM Caskets will come out later, down the road.
Star Trek Caskets IMHO look to be out about the same time as the PM urns.
VLC Caskets may be out with all the other Caskets with that Dec. 15th, 2008 date.
CLC Line of Caskets was a HUGE HIT at the NFDA. I told Dean Kelly that this CLC may be bigger than MLB. He agreed!!!
(8) CLC Caskets as of now, but have the capability for 200+ different varieties in the CLC to be manufactured.
Florida Gators and Kentucky were #1 and #2 when asked what people would want next. Florida of course understandable, and Kentucky?? What else is there in Kentucky??(sorry) Kind of like what would be with an Oklahoma or Nebraska. The passion of the schools is elevated because of the lack of professional sports teams in the area:)
I told Nick that next year in Boston, EI better get a Boston College or a Harvard Casket in the booth!! Those were our two, any other colleges in the area come to mind?? We know the Gators would have sold big time in Orlando. We're just starting folks, and learning every convention:)
ASAPR!!!!- EI's publicity/marketing team. Robbie, Clay, and Jenni- Very Professional and "Believe" in EI completely. They were on hand for the entire Convention.
PR's LURKER??? There's a "boatload" ready to go!!(pardon the Orlando EI pun) SS Eternal Image, and a Booth with a "Theme" that was second to none at the Convention.
What Heppie thinks that may be on the "short list" for what EI is after concerning New Licenses(and they are looking for new licenses every day), and of course IMHO-
NFL, HARLEY DAVIDSON, AND NHL, and in no particular order. NASCAR is always "lurking" in the dark:)
I can't impress to you enough the "buzz" that was in the EI Booth, not only of the MLB, and they are spectacular, But the Collegiate Caskets. This is going to be a Huge Market!! The design of the CLC casket is tastefully done in its wood finish, and then when you add all of the colored logo's of the colleges to the pillows, fabrics etc. on the outside, finished off with the logo on the casket itself. Very impressive indeed.
All for now. Until tomorrow.
Yours Always in Eternal Faith,
Heppie:)
Good Evening EI/ETNL Open Believers and Trekkies,
Waterloo International Funeral Supply- Get used to it. You are going to hear a lot about this company:) Waterloo is a Distributor for EI and also a Manufacturing vendor. Waterloo was the "major mover" in putting the Eternal Image Caskets together at the NFDA. Remember these names also- Tony Fifer, the "mover and the shaker" at Waterloo and was there almost every minute of the convention.
Dean and Gail Kelly, the owners of Waterloo, also at the Convention on Tuesday and Wednesday "working the floor:)"
Waterloo International folks is "one of" EI's major manufacturer's and may be one of the Biggest Distributors. They make Caskets for EI now, and not urns. It was evident at the Convention IMHO, that EI has big plans for Waterloo International.
March 6, 2012 and Heppie's date!! You'll like this next bit of info., and one that will keep me adding shares constantly.
From Dean Kelly(owner of Waterloo)- "12-18 months time frame for EI to reach "profitability". And my question to him was- "And from quarter to quarter with the Rev's?? Increase substantially from 2009-?? This was the kind of question and answer that I came to the convention to hear!!
Just a little more on Waterloo, as I'm sure you're doing your DD as I speak-
Dean Kelly Believes in EI. He has a very close relationship with his employees. On any project, he and Tony will approach the employees and lay out the "deal". If they say "no go", it's a NO, and it's as easy as that. EI was a Definite Yes, and he Believes EI has the where withall to crack into thhis Final Frontier in the Funeral business with its Licensing Concepts.
I spent a lot of time with Tony especially, but then with Dean and his wife Gail about their dreams of what EI could be. The product that Waterloo is putting together is the "best of the best" as far as material for the Caskets. This was reinforced by other various casket makers at the NFDA. Their "Tubs" for the caskets are manufactured in China, and again, top quality material. All of the hardware, material, etc. is made here in the US and put together by Waterloo at their 200,000sq. ft. manufacturing and Distribution facility located in Waterloo, Indiana.
Yours Always in Eternal Faith,
Heppie:)
Yes indeedy!!:)
Word on the street is that the Star Trek casket will be out in about 90 days:)
Good "early evening" EI/ETNL Open Believers and Trekkies,
I will start here and give you my "take" on EI, ala the NFDA in Orlando.
Take my "credibility" as you may, but as a person in the funerary business for most of my Life, enough said.
As an Investor in EI, I decided to take the 1340 Mile trip to the Orange County Convention Center, and "fully" immerse myself into the Convention. It wasn't just the EI booth that I wanted to concentrate on, But also what the flavor was in the industry, how people felt about the "personalization and the choices" that seemed to be gaining momentum in this industry.
I don't have a lot of time right now, But probably a lot more tomorrow:)
FYI- I was inside the Convention floor a total of 18 hours!! From the Meet and Greet on Sunday- 6:30-9:30PM, Monday and Tuesday from 9AM-3PM, and Wednesday from 9-12AM.
I've got a bunch of stuff that IMHO you will be interested in. I thought my trip was "well worth" my time:)
I will take questions now:) Time permitting of course.
Heppie:)
Good Evening EI/ETNL Open Believers and Trekkies,
Am I "missing" something here???????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Doesn't EI have a Beautiful New Website and an INVESTOR RELATIONS PAGE??
You know I'm not a Trekkie and a "novice" pinky-land man at that,BUT!! Am I "seeing things" when I click on the page and find a message to the-
