Mr. M.... my take is that things are right on track and that we cannot help what others will do.
The uplist by itself is not going to bring all kinds of new investors crowding in to buy within a few hours of it happening. It adds legitimacy to the play, and opens the door for the acquisitions, etc. which is where the value is. This will take time and patience. I see a slow and steady climb from here.
Meanwhile, it is to be expected that there will be some who had unrealistic expectations of what would happen when the uplist was announced and they will bail. (MM - not suggesting you should or would -- but that is why there will be some unrealistic selling).
Remember that we are still largely under the radar, and it will take news releases and acquisitions to get us better known. I also maintain (as I have for a long time) that it will probably also take a few quarters of reporting positive financial results before the better value of this company is realized in the share price. If we really surge/spike too much before that, it will likely be followed by a fallback. JMHO.
Out for the afternoon now.

Lion is here.... too busy reading all the GOOD NEWS to have time to post!! Yay!
MTRE Uplist in Complete
Effective today, Jan 29, 2009: MTRE moves from Pink Sheets to OTCBB.
This is the long-awaited event that will now allow a series of very exciting and value-building events to take place for both MTRE and its spin-off LFHE. First of all, MTRE can now close the acquisitions that have been pending for months. And LFHE can soon begin trading; it has not yet traded as the company did not want it to trade in the pinks. Now that MTRE is uplisted, its spin-off LFCE should also be cleared for OTCBB.

Congrats, $oldier...glad it was you getting them! Our day is coming....
Get 'em while you can, $oldier... I think now more than ever the MTRE float is more tightly held... it's a nice picture.
Tweety... I know it will feel great -- a sense of arrival after months of anticipation - against a lot of odds, really. (Not to cast any doubt on the company itself, but just that it is so rare in this realm, and we can see why, after seeing all the hurdles these guys had to go through to finally get it done!)
I LOVE even numbers! Makes calculations so easy... what's wrong with even numbers, $oldier?? LOL
any day, I figure.... very happy to see how the share price of MTRE is holding the last couple of days... we are set-up nicely now
me too
you're right, and that's why I will wait and hold!
Yes, still holding... I am a patient guy...why sell at a loss and get very little... someday, who knows what we might get!
I referenced the wrong post by Chevy - it should have been 18088, which I will repost here for ease of reading:
NOTE 10. SUBSEQUENT EVENTS
The Company issued 4,091,667 common shares [restricted] subsequent to September 30, 2008 to consultants for consulting services rendered in fiscal year 2009.
Fiscal year 2009, which began October 2008.......anyone want to bet these consulting shares in Q4CY08 are associated directly with the planned acquisitions? Since the float did not change from the last Q, all of these were issued as restricted..........
Pretty standard for acquisition consultants to receive shares in the "new" company as payment for their work......
I think we are awfully close to acquisition closure!
Yes indeed, Bee, NL has a few more shares.... this stock is addicting! LOL
But, the number of extra shares did not require a filing. The increase in the OS, however, changed my % of holding by more than 1%, so that is what necessitated another filing to amend the 13G.
The increase in the OS is related to the acquisitions, for which Gary Stein and other officers/directors were given some restricted share compensation.... see Chevy's post #18079 on Jan 13th for a more complete commentary on that.
There doesn't seem to be a seller around anymore today, which is very nice. That was really my main motivation for adding some more shares - trying to clean out the seller so that this stock can start getting back to a more decent and realistic valuation. JMHO.

Hi FBS....
How's things? What kinds of stocks are you trading these days?
Perhaps of interest is JCDS - it seems to have sprung to life with a vengeance in the past few days, and the main naysayer is now a pumper! Not sure how far it will go, but could be an interesting quick flip perhaps. It is one I have been sitting on for awhile -- longer than I expected to or wanted to!
Another stock of interest is ASPO - seems to be set up for a pending RM. This one has been dormant for awhile, and then a 15:1 RS was declared in April 2008. The implementation of that RS just happened a few days ago along with a symbol change. Perhaps the RM that they have sought for awhile is now finally ready to go... there may be some opportunity there.
There is also renewed buying interest in FBCE - another one I have sat on for awhile. Something in the works??
Also ZLNK - it is ready for action - literally, because there is a pending RM with Action Energy. This one surged up, now has quieted back down (so buying opportunity now) and will likely soon take off when news of the RM is released.
JMHO and Caveat Emptor (Latin: "Let the buyer beware")
Best wishes to you, FBS!

I have NEVER seen Captain Jim this pumped about JCDS! What do you know that we don't know, Captain?
Just waiting patiently, along with 38 others...
Roo... when things come through here, I suggest we get a track and have a good ole stock car race -- you, Bee in her Mopar, 53, me and whoever else wants in on the fun!
Mine switched to ASPO promptly.... name change will follow when they have there RM candidate, I expect.

Yesterday both MTRE and its spin-off, LifeHealthcare Inc (trading symbol now assigned - LFHE) filed their 10K's for the fiscal year ended Sept 30, 2008. These filings were delayed slightly due to preoccupation with uplisting paperwork and Christmas holidays in December, but this now, once again, brings everything to current status.
The SEC has approved both MTRE and LFHE filings; it is now only up to FINRA to give their final blessing to complete the uplisting.
MTRE continues to be available at surprisingly low prices - perhaps due to a combination of stressful market conditions and impatience on the part of shareholders who have been waiting longer than expected for the uplisting to finally be completed.
The finish line is in sight!

I-Box updated. Will need another filing to confirm share structure and other details.

Hi Bigstar...didn't realize you were a Canuck as well.... no igloos, yet, LOL! -20C in Hamilton can be pretty bad too - the humidity down there makes it feel a lot worse than equivalent temp out here in the drier west. But, we will all feel a lot better when this deep freeze ends. Better temps expected this weekend.

Wind chill warning for
City of Winnipeg continued
Extreme wind chills minus 40 to minus 45 tonight moderating Thursday afternoon.
This is a warning that extreme wind chill conditions are imminent or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
Temperatures of minus 30 to minus 35 combined with northwest winds of 15 to 20 km/h will produce wind chills of minus 40 to minus 45 over all southern and central Manitoba tonight. Extreme caution is advised as these extreme wind chill values will persist. Under these conditions exposed skin may freeze in as little as 5 minutes. Wind chill values are expected to moderate later Thursday morning or afternoon.
Hahaha...sounds like a plan, BL. Thanks!
BL...
Correct, most of the shares I look after are not my own personally (although I have a few - LOL)... most are owned by corporate accounts for whom I am the treasurer/administrator, where I am the person making (hopefully) wise choices of where to place money not in use for daily operations. [But from the SEC's viewpoint, since I am the trading authority, they say I have "beneficial ownership" and therefore I must file the Schedule 13G].
Of course I have other investments -- have quite a bit in Canadian mines and Canadian banks.... but on the US side, MTRE/LFHE are the jewels! JMHO.
NL
Good idea , B L..... let's buy the rest! LOL!
Sorry...no more cash around, and I have no coins in my couches!
Prices,
No, I am not related to Chevy...met him through I-Hub on another play, but he is someone I respect highly (as most others do on this board - even those who disagree with him!).
NL
I agree with that thought, BL... get out the checkbook. That's what I did. Some days I think I must be nuts, but everytime I re-evaluate my large position in this company,. I come back to the same conclusion -- I think I did the right thing.
And then they came through with the LFHE dividend (yup, those shares are in my accounts), and now the uplist is happening. And I expect we will shortly see the acquisitions close... no, it is not a dream! It is real life and I am living it.
NL
BL, that's valid, IMO, but your reaction to today's selling was rather strong, suggesting that you were looking for the big surge right off. I don't think it will happen quickly. There are a limited number of buyers here still. That will not change immediately. There are some that will only consider it once it is on the BB, just because they won't touch pinks (as you can appreciate better now, based on your posts re: no more pinks). But even those that restrict themselves to BB's and up will be likely be cautious and wait to see that these acquisitions will close before they really buy in, IMO.
My thoughts are not a reflection of how I feel about the company (my buying habits prove otherwise, I think), but I am trying to be a realist and evaluate how others are looking at it. I still believe that we have great opportunity in a winner that is unrecognized, largely unknown, and very undervalued. JMHO.
NL
LFHE is the icing on the cake. Now, anyone that really knows me also knows that I love cake! But I especially like icing! Very direct and accurate correlation to MTRE and LFHE.
NL
Given the revenues that the soon-to-be-acquired companies have, this should easily go over $1, but that won't happen for awhile, IMO. There will need to be the closing of the acquisitions and then probably one or two 10Q's showing nice numbers to get there. If it does get there really quickly, it will drop back, IMO. So I am looking at this more likely getting up to .60 or .75 and finding a plateau there for awhile. JMHO.
We have to remember that we are not in a normal market at this time either. Margin calls are real. Also, there have been very cranked-up expectations here, which may leave some who are looking for quick turnarounds unhappy and they may exit prematurely, at lower prices than they should. We cannot control who decides to sell or what they are willing to part with their treasures at.
NL
BL.... this will not be an overnite play, IMO... we have the 10K's filed, but the uplist is not through yet. Even then, the acquisitions need to close.... it is coming, and there may be some upsurges, but it is a long-term hold., IMO. Also, worth the wait.
NL
Congrats on getting those .15's, gftb.... and there's probably some left for floyd and basser too!
Chevy, I liked the last line of your last post (which was a copy of one you did awhile ago):
Don't sit on the sidelines watching and waiting for someone else to act! This is as much YOUR company as it is anyone else's! If these sellers wish to vacate, then let's help them do so, and put the shares in stronger hands! Let's work TOGETHER to get the pps back where it belongs.......
I think your wish was accomplished by the whole bunch of us on this board who helped to make that happen.... what a ride!
Basser,
You have been such a loyal fan of this group, you really ought to have a part in it! Just think... you could buy 1000 shares for under $200 (better act quick tho)! That's not a lot, but wouldn't it be worth it just to share in the moments?
NL
Hey everyone.... it is a great day for all of us! We are about to see this thing come together after a lot of patience on the part of everyone.... congrats to everyone that held on.
Prices... tax rates are interesting and complicated everywhere. But in Canada, any capital gains are taxed at half the "normal rate" and the normal rate varies according to one's income. So, for example, if you have earnings of $50,000, your tax rate is higher than is you earn $30,000 per year.
So, let's assume that a person had an income of about $50,000 per year. For each additional dollar you earn, you would pay 22% Federal Tax as well as 10.9% Provincial Tax (in Manitoba; but it varies from province to province - it was 8.65% in BC last year). So, if a person earned an additional $10,000 of regular income (e.g. a pay raise), they would pay an additional $3290 tax if they lived in Manitoba. However, if the extra $10,000 of income came from capital gains on stocks instead of being regular earned income, the tax would be halved (calculated as $10,000 x 50% Cap Gains Reduction = $5000 taxable x 32.9% tax = $1645).
Folks in the highest tax brackets (earnings over $100,000 per year) pay approx. 46% on every additional dollar earned in income taxes; but again, if the extra dollars are capital gains, they would pay only 23% tax on those extra bucks.
How does that compare with the US?
NL
PS.... low income earners pay very little or no tax as the taxes on the first $10,000 or so are wiped out by tax credits and even up to $30,000 per year has pretty much lower tax rates. It is above that point where each additional dollar gets taxed at higher and higher levels.
YYYAAAAAAYYYY!!!!
(notice, no "w's" in there!
Thanks, Chvey -- we knew it was coming - just surprised it took this long. Do you think the timing indicates something may soon be happening?
NL
Will be looking forward to the filing -- I have been doing more filings than the company!
Thank you for the research and updates, Chevy.... much appreciated!
NL
You are pretty funny, Roo! LOL
