That kind of funding is highly dilutive. It is considered toxic funding too. It only invites in more shorts because they know they have guaranteed money. I think Destiny was right to spurn that offer.
Now, the idea that they need new blood to get new things done that are not Steve's area of expertise — that should be explored. That idea has value.
I am used to both winning and losing. I'll need some punk like you to tell me. Get lost!
YOU basher-horse's-hind quarter are a useless source of disinformation. Depart! Don't "just saying" us, get lost! It is crystal clear what you are, and what you are all about on this board.
I have not been around long enough to really, really understand the dynamics and the sequence of events and to be sure what anybody's is saying is accurate.
But what you are saying sounds the most credible. A lot of smoke was blown up our derrières by the disciples of HTFBS and related people on this board. You are right, they should simply accept the blame for their bad call... It is not so much that Steve is overpromising and under delivering, it is really much more about them over pumping at already high stock valuations. Reality came in and they don't want to accept that they overstated the case and twisted reality and now Reality is twisting back.
Right, a lot of hot money left. A lot of these disciples also took money off the table and now only hold core positions – probably means less than 50% of their original holdings. They pumped; they dumped. I know that wasn't their original intention most of them, but they did what they had to do, what was best for business. No apologies from them for overstating the case… are you dreaming? (And I'm not referring to you 'Westify'). They know who they are.
The website streaming media has loads of visitors every day. Maybe someone can get more definitive numbers.
It would be fantastic if Destiny could get a Feature Article by Troy Dreier or Jan Ozer done on this website (that's what PR companies are supposed to arrange)! I see articles on their about encoder.com and about 4K and HD and UHD TV and this article titled How to Stream Premium Video to All Android Devices:
http://www.streamingmedia.com/Articles/Editorial/Featured-Articles/How-to-Stream-Premium-Video-to-All-Android-Devices-94218.aspx
The website streamingmedia.com Is now on my list of favorites so I'll remember to check back and see when Clipstream gets introduced there.
This is a pretty popular website, streamingmedia. Here is it's Alexa ranking:
Global Rank
Global rank 29,607
Rank in United States
United States 14,735
In this current share price environment it is natural that some of the comments from the OBVIOUS SHORTER would irk, bother, even scare some of the weaker hands. Let's face it, if you bought the majority of your shares at two dollars and above up to $2.93, you are automatically a pretty weak hand unless you have a cast-iron stomach and really deep pockets.
You are right however, the hard data points are still the same, nothing has changed except that now Destiny is much closer to realizing its full potential.
You are buying because you see the true value, and because you can. I think a lot of other buyers are on the sideline waiting to see if and when the share price will consolidate.
I hope that you did not find out about this company at the bargain price of fifteen cents just out of luck. Seriously. I'm pretty sure that's not the case.
Are there any other names on your radar that you are considering buying or are actively buying now?
Good DD 'dsny2014'. That's what we need more of here on this board. Opinion and commentary from actual users or potential users of this technology. What Steve says is fine and dandy but what users say is where the rubber hits the road. Thanks for the post.
I ended up buying another 10% today at $1.60, just to round off the number of thousands of dollars in paper loss – you know how nice round numbers are lol
Was that an answer from Steve? Usually he gives much more detail than that in an answer, doesn't he? Did that surprise you?
Right, right, I was very pleased to see the stock rise to $1.85 when the RS was announced. But there was no follow-through the next day. Volume sagged.
I'm going to keep pounding on the table about the lack of evidence that web developers have been effectively informed about the Clipstream G2 product!
I keep thinking that any minute now I'll hear from other more knowledgeable posters who have been around on this board since Rip van Winkle began growing a beard… telling me/showing me/explaining to me the evidence of Web developers that use/know about/recommend or have even commented one way or the other regarding Clipstream product.
Just silence!
…and now the stock is really getting pounded on high-volume. What's up Doc?
Commonsenseinvestor question from 1/6/2013:
"Since the first target market for ClipStream is supposed to be web developers, I am surprised that Destiny has not placed an ad at webdevelopers.com. They claim to have 170,000 members.
www.webdeveloper.com/"
No one has answered this question to date, and I think it is a very important question that deserves a straight answer.
The silence from the old hands/deep pockets/in – contact – with – Steve shareholders in response to my recent questions is… deafening so far.
What gives?
Thanks.
It doesn't take a huge PR effort to at least let people know that the solution supposedly exists! I started chatting with someone on web developer.com and the problems he was having (and commenting on the boards before I arrived) appeared to be addressable by Clipstream.
I quote from part of his original posting:
"For me, it was a lot of work to find and learn to use these players, and in the case of the videos, a lot of work to get decent conversions of the original videos to FLV files. I did this because for a while there it seemed that FLASH was destined to become the universal way to play videos and music files, in a way that was easily controlled with javascript, and because of YOUTUBE would soon be common to every browser on the planet But it didn't work out that way. Sadly I've now seen that nobody with an apple desktop, I-PADs or I-phone can view or play my media, and even the android devices won't play FLASH content (unless the user goes out of his/her way to install it, something most casual users have no clue about).
So what can I do? I'd like to think there is some collection of methods guaranteed to allow the vast majority of visitors to hear and view my content, so that if I put in another huge effort it will be done forevermore. But that was what I thought FLASH would do for me, and now it seems my efforts have been largely wasted, or at least made obsolete."
So of course I sent him information about Clipstream and Destiny Media. When I get an answer I will post it here.
Naturally, I did search the entire forum website for any thread of information about Clipstream and found nothing. Nothing. This seems ridiculous to me.
Earnings call transcript from 2Q— July 17, 2013
Quote:
"So we have been asking the PR Company to hold off despite engaging them as we are waiting for the website to launch. But now we are gearing everything towards the start of the first quarter. So the launch will be a process rather than an event as many Clipstream products and services will go live overtime. But the first one, the cloud offering is coming really soon. So we will be ramping up IR/PR initiatives in August and September and expect significant media coverage to start over the next three months."
So, we got the cloud offering, but the media coverage is pretty much nonexistent. 50 – 50 so far on delivering on promises.
"The original marketing plan is we are going to market really heavily to web developers. So the magazines they go to, the conferences they go to, the websites they use, the tools they use. We are also going to be marketing fairly heavily in the search engines. So if you search for something like a streaming video hosting or streaming video software, our ad will pop up and it will be really clear that's a free trial, you can download, encode and be really happy with the technology before you have to give us your credit card."
Well, I invite any and all of you to Google search for "streaming video hosting" or "streaming video software" or any other very similar Keywords. I didn't find anything indicating Destiny Media is advertising to developers AT ALL. Nothing!
Those of you that e-mail back and forth to Steve… Could you ask him why? Are they not trying to sell to web developers as previously stated? If not, why? All of us that holds shares have a right to these answers.
Why is it that no one has bothered to put a review of Clipstream Video 2.2 On download.com (CNET)? Not since the year 2004 at least.
Where are all the testers/recent users of the Clipstream software (who regularly opine here) posting their reviews? No reviews equals no buzz; so it seems to me anyway. Which place on the Internet are web developers talking about this new product?
What are forums, chat rooms and social media for? Even a so – so book on Amazon can get fifty reviews!
'commonsenseinvestor'
How about that on download.com. (CNET) there is nothing new since December 15, 2008.

Number of Clipstream downloads last week? = 1
you read right… 1
Maybe I don't know where to look, but right now, Steve does not look like a PR genius to me. Somebody please put in the right direction!!!

I went to web developer.com and did a search for Clipstream.
Essentially, I found nothing, no conversation about it whatsoever, except this from 2004:

Streaming
Is there any javascript or html for streaming a video live online?

i don't believe you can do this...I think you would need to get some sort of software to do this...I found a website, have not used the product but looks like what you want
http://www.clipstream.com/
Found in this location on the website:
Forum>Client-Side Development>JavaScript>Streaming
CLIPSTREAM ®
http://www.dsny.com/clipstream
post the Problem vs. Solution chart on forums/Chat rooms/websites where you think the potential customers are.
Then wait for feedback and report here. It doesn't take any more time really then posting opinions and counter opinions here does, which is all really wasted effort — I know, I wasted about 30 min. posting here already...
I'll let you know if I get any responses from web developer.com, for example. Meanwhile, don't be shy either...
I believe those people buying yesterday had their thinking cap on!
It is not going to be easy to cover even 2 million shares shorted, so if there is much more than that, the shorts are going to have a REAL PROBLEM on their hands.
I repeat your final words because they really do point to what is most likely to finally play out:
I know this isn't by any means a done deal and if positive news comes out to jack the share price up substantially before the AGM then the reverse split might be cancelled or greatly reduced.
The Five to one reverse split is not an excessive because they haven't tied their hands on this;it is not locked in stone. The release said:
at a ratio of up to five (5) pre-reverse split shares to one (1) post-reverse split share
If the Reverse Split is approved, the Board of Directors will have the authority to implement the Reverse Split, and, if enacted, to determine the Reverse Split ratio required to meet the minimum price per share requirements on the NASDAQ Capital Markets. Currently, the Board of Directors intends to implement the Reverse Split as soon as practicable following approval by the stockholders and the TSX Venture Exchange. Notwithstanding approval of the Reverse Split by the stockholders, the Board of Directors, in their sole discretion, may abandon the Reverse Split without further approval, action by, or prior notice to stockholders.
Right now, for the shorts to put on any further shortselling would be suicide. Look at the way the market is reacting to this news– 3X normal volume and looking to be heading intoa positive close. Right now, it's up seven cents.
It looks like we are going to end up with again today on 3X the normal volume.
Yes, I will be voting to support the reverse split! Who wouldn't? This is a strategic move and the wording of the release indicates that they(The Board of Directors) will not be locked into it, or locked into any particular ratio, although they are at this time proposing a 5 for 1.
They are doing it now which is the only thing that you have to Worry About Now. Unless you hold a long position, which I seriously doubt.
Furthermore, when the reverse split is for the express purpose of gaining an extremely valuable listing on the NASDAQ exchange, that could be viewed very positively by shareholders too, especially the kind of shareholders that are following this technology company. Any doubtful shareholders will probably consult their financial advisor/broker before dumping en masse.
I'm not too worried. Steve is tackling the problem of the naked short sellers head on!
Let's just hope for decent news regarding first-quarter earnings.
Yes, some will run, and others like myself will be picking up their shares, like I already did today.
I just wish I had the balls to double down!
Good point. Please keep repeating and reposting it on this board until we get an answer to that question. Yes, that is the market that they were talking about developing. They must not have it perfect yet otherwise the logical thing would be to sell the advertising there and on similar sites.
thanks, I appreciate that because basically I'm too lazy to do the cut and paste and keep track of it myself lol. But somebody that has about $30,000 into it probably does have the time and inclination lol.
Thanks again, no disrespect to man or his money intended ;)
Hey, I really liked your post, crammed full of wisdom.
Now, about our homeboy here– if he was wise enough to get out about $2.50 or better then should have been wise enough to get back in at $1.80 or so— that's if he knows his horse manure. Otherwise not a very good trader...
This one could be traded up and out, up and out but you have to be very lucky to catch it just right; certainly would want to keep a core position that you don't sell until you have a four or five bagger.
I would like to hear more concrete news about how the new Clipstream product is selling. Can people who are watching the numbers posted on the website the discern anything like a trend from those numbers?
Too many detractors overstep their bounds... spreading false and defamatory rumors should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Companies like Overstock.co, just to name one well-known example, have been crippled by this hooliganism.
I have seen too much of this unsavory practice and I know it is designed to remove money from my pocket and put it into the pocket of the badmouth others who are obviously in cahoots with short-sellers. Even if that last part is not strictly true in every case… no matter... it is true enough often enough that genuine investors would like to be relieved of these scum – of – the – Earth types.
Steve has every right to defend his reputation and that of the company. I say — nip the problem in the bud! I hope the eventual punishment is enough to teach those accused a serious economic lesson!
I bought a few shares just enough to get my feet wet...I am wondering why a company that Seeking Alpha says happily requires very little actual infrastructure has so many offices of such size? I see they own or lease over 140,000 ft. of ffice space at 5 different locations... I wonder how many actual employees they have? The SEC filing says:

IESV is a nice trading possibiity for tomorrow.
What do you make of it? Usually reverse splits are bad...what is going on here?
BTW, take a good look at IESV. Good things are coming and another big move should be around the corner. Green energy play and leader in the fledgling renewable bio-gas industry.
