HAPPY EASTER!!!
After reading my comments denouncing all politicians, many of you wrote and asked me to comment further about whether or not it even mattered to vote anymore and being told to “vote for the lesser evil.”
A small notice, here. I use the terms conservative, republican, and conservatism loosely in this article. The only one I use with any decisive intent is “CON-servative,” meaning, of course, a conservative who is a Con, not really a conservative, at all, but duping others that he is; a real con, as in guilty of an offense, that offense being that they violate the trust of those who fall for their phony, two-faced bs. After three years being involved as an activist, I can no longer with a clear conscience, or without insulting myself and disrespecting my life, call myself a conservative by any “piecemeal,” half-learned, fully-compromised definition now used by any of the most popular and best financed conservative organizations and foundations that exist today. With rare exception, they are all nothing but hypocrites, enablers, and frauds. More on that and my classical definition of conservatism forthcoming in my article for my Mentoring and Leadership Foundation.
During election cycles the cadres of enlightened ones inside the beltway, those with bigger brains than the rest of us human beings who also make up the “We the People,” patronize us with these slobberings: “You don’t have a voice or any right to complain if you don’t vote” and “Your ONE vote does count,” and “What are you — cut and run?” And without laughing, not even a snicker, they tell us, “Vote for the lesser evil."
Class begins right now.
Our right to complain and criticize American government comes, first, from our being a law-abiding American citizen, not if we cast our vote. Our rights as an American citizen exist by law; there is no law that we have to vote. The inviolability of our rights as an American citizen is not penalized or diminished if we choose not to vote. Our right to hold American government to certain standards and expectations, and criticize it when it fails, is not granted or secured by our vote, it is granted and secured by our American citizenry.
We pay taxes, and taxes are what fund the entire operation of this country’s government, including the salaries of the representatives who (are supposed to) serve OUR interests. Our government is not a business that produces anything to sell to make money -- its sole business is to take OUR money and spend it to fund its indiscriminate, gratuitous and oppressive operation. It’s OUR government and “We the People” foot the bill. When we spend our money for any goods or services and we are dissatisfied with the quality of services provided or goods obtained, we have the right to complain or criticize all we want. If we can do this at any local retailer, we can sure as hell do so when it comes to the government we OWN and fund.
Moreover, in the real business world, we also have the right to seek either a return of the money we paid or receive an exchange of equal value. Government, of course, even though service is always overpriced and horrible, never returns anything. Once they unconstitutionally confiscate our property (taxes you pay and even our land and home if they are in the mood!), they quickly dole it out to someone else; typically, that “someone else” is a fellow American felon unwilling to make the effort it takes to make their own life work, so they depend on the government’s legalized criminals to steal OUR money and then redistribute it to them to provide their survival for them.
That “someone else” are, also, many other countries on this planet whom take OUR money while they, at the same time, spew hatred for America and us Americans right back in our face. It figures that a government that can get away with indecencies that would land one if its own citizens behind bars also finds acceptable the kind of insults no decent individual would ever tolerate. Once you release your grip on your property, magically and suddenly, it was never yours to begin with and never existed in the first place; this is the only record on you your American government doesn’t bother to keep.
I suppose we could view our vote as the “exchange policy,” ours alone to feebly enforce, vote by vote. We could use it at the polls in an attempt to manifest (ex)change in representation. In some local, regional and state cases, removal of incumbents can be achieved. But on the federal stage where celebrity politicians have the big money (self-wealth plus bribes from loaded, influential lobbyists) and mainstream media at their beck and call, it rarely happens. These knaves endow OUR government seats to themselves, like philanthropists endow chairs at universities. Once made a permanent fixture of the apparet, even their “friends” across the aisle do all they can to preserve their status and station; call it a code of ethics among thieves. For sure, it’s the only form of “conservatism” going on.
Incredible power does lie in our right to vote. We get that. We also get it that once we exercise it, its power fizzles out when it comes to securing the kind of representation we were promised we would get by bestowing it. It’s become obvious, today, that no vote counts for anything more than a higher numerical tally, certainly not toward what we believe we have cast it.
Election after election, multiple-personality mouthpieces for Republicans scold us, “You must not squander your vote. Your vote is important to this election.”
This fearmongering propaganda is nothing less than devious exploitation of our vote to sustain the power and paychecks of those who extort theirs through, guess what? - punditry, politics and government.
Our vote carries importance all the time, not just during an election, not only at the moment we commit it. They can treat it like it does all the time, not only in the last few months of a reelection campaign. Our vote is important before they need it to save their own dried up political hide. There would be no need to plea with us about how “important our vote is” if those who’ve previously received it would communicate as much through their actions while in office. They all beg for our vote now because they’ve insulted us by disrespecting its importance all along.
We MUST handle the disbursement and exercise of our vote with the same integrity we expect it to be shown. We must bestow it only as we would anything else we intimately guard. Only whores keep “giving it up” knowing they are going to get screwed the same way every time.
Nothing about our entire political process, including how we use our vote to elect our representatives, is disconnected from the sacredness of all this country’s institutions, beliefs and principles. Washington, D.C. is filled with monuments, memorials and memories dedicated to America’s Founding and our government institutions. It’s all very impressive, but none of it belongs only to the lily-livered politicians and that American sacredness does not end in our Nation’s capitol. Every American owns a piece of those marble histories; and sacredness is thread through the character of all us.
The right, privilege, and power of our vote must not be, to any of us, any less sacred than the oath taken by our elected officials -- before they swear to it, not after they breach every word of it.
Notice that when a politician fails to fulfill his campaign promises, there is something very telling they do when they come around the next election. Of course, everything they do is premeditated. They start with feigned remorse, acting as if they are really disgusted by themselves for letting us down and they ask for our forgiveness. They give this time to settle in to make it seem all the more genuine. Then there is the next stage where they come back a little more upbeat, talking about how well this experience has taught them an incredible lesson and they believe, now that us brilliant voters have helped them see the light, they deserve another shot to prove themselves, this time they “got our orders and can handle it.” They continue this stage of the act for a pre-estimated time and then there’s a radical flip in their tone and approach.
Suddenly, they turn the question of uncertainty on us instead of themselves. They stop talking about how they’ve failed us and how they intend to make it right, and they instead begin to wonder aloud, without any chagrin and right in front of us like we aren’t even present, about how they’re beginning to have their own doubts about us and whether or not we’re truly committed enough to the cause and ready, once again, to step up and prove it. Not long after this, they began accusing us of being the crowd of “cut and run.” Like it is us, not them, that have something to prove again. The focus is no longer on who was at fault originally for the now existing mistrust. They forget real quick who, truly, did who in.
This isn’t “cut and run.” This is “standing up to shut it down.” This is truly standing on principle. Why have principles if they aren’t there to remind of us what we need to do when they are violated? The Republican and CON-servative mouthpieces say “there are principles that make us what we are, and this is what makes us different from other parties.” Really? What are those principles? Whatever shape they need to be to fit the unprincipled shifts of our representatives? Is that what principles are? Ideas, beliefs and practices that flip-flop on-the-fly? Let’s tell them: Not in OUR homes. Not in OUR lives. Not anymore out of you, you Son-of-a-Bitch.
Somehow or another they drum up the audacity to tell us, “Vote for the lesser evil.” I can only imagine that there must be a clandestine Tony Robbins motivational seminar they all attend together to find the overbearing arrogance it takes to offend us with this piece of lowlife crap. They say, “Go to the polls, hold your nose, and pull the lever. Walk out and go on with your life.”
“Vote for the lesser evil” sounds like something you’d get from an Ouija Board.
A beltway and talk show CON-servative sitting with their nail-bitten, grubby, clammy, stubby fingers on the planchette busting on one another about who’s pushing it to make it move.
“You moving it? You got to be, because I’m not.”
“I swear, I’m not moving it. You have to be.”
“No, really, I’m barely touching it. I am not moving it.”
“It has to be moving on its own -- or else you’re moving it. Come on! You are, aren’t you? This is nuts, what are we doing!?”
“Relax...it’s not anymore nuts than that right-wing religious crap we pitch day-in and day-out so we can keep feeding our families. Besides, I got a cousin who invests in cattle futures with that fat, cow-assed Denny Hastert and he swears by this thing, he uses it everyday to come up with what he advises his clients.”
“Oh, God, I need my oxycontin...”
“NO!, don’t take your fingers off...that’s how it works, you have to keep all your fingers on this hovering guide thing while you mentally connect with what we are doing. Now, we may have to start all over. Let’s wait a few minutes and see if it starts moving again.”
“What was the question we asked? I forgot.”
“Come on!, you have to concentrate or this will not work. The question we asked was, ‘The people are screwed either way they vote. Our job security is at stake. What do we tell the voters to do?’”
Letter by letter, voodoo delivers the answer...
“V-o-t-e f-o-r t-h-e l-e-s-s-e-r o-f t-w-o e-v-i-l-s.”
Only in American politics....
Why are so many of us, now, asking ourselves: “Is it ok to vote for the lesser evil?” “Does it matter that it bothers me if I do?” “Does it matter if I choose not to vote next time?” “How come all the pundits always tells us that to not vote or to vote the other party is worse?” “Is it really?”
I got many emails from people expressing these new deeper concerns. More of us, more than ever before, are weighing the significance of being told to do what goes against our “reasoned” and “instinctual” principles. And we don’t like the answers we come up when we think it all the way through. Naturally. And I don't think we should.
We have to ask ourselves, first, what precisely does it say to us when we are told by our own crowd to “vote for the lesser evil.”
Well, it doesn’t mean anything good. That’s a given. If the message could have been put in more palatable terms, you can bet the spinsters would have.
My daughter Indy asked me when she just under two, “Daddy, what is evil?” Never not surprised over the last couple of months prior to this by the profound questions her little bitty tininess was regularly coming up with, I gave her the simple answer, maybe the best one. I said, “Indy, evil means bad. Something that is really, really bad.” And so it is. It is that simple. And so it always will be. Evil is something bad. Really bad.
Since we're are all concerned adults here, not two-year-olds asking questions beyond our life experiences, let’s also include: damaging, destructive, harmful, injurious, morally bad, wickedness.
Pretty damn clear.
If you are paying contemptible attention to what is going on in our government, and have had second and third and eighth thoughts about this “vote for the lesser evil” proposal, then you have torturously come to terms with accepting exactly what evil means. So let’s start with putting an end to trying to talk ourselves out of it. Agreed? Agreed.
Is there really a difference between “the greater evil” and "the lesser evil?”
If evil is evil, lesser or greater, and “evil” is bad, damaging, destructive, harmful, injurious, etc., we have to conclude there is nothing good about either one, and no way to spin “the lesser evil” into something good. Evil in any form, to any degree, is still always damaging, destructive, harmful, injurious, etc. It is always those bad things, it is never good.
By being asked to “vote for the lesser evil,” we have to accept that the CON-servatives and republicans soliciting us to do so are admitting that the Bush administration and non-conservative republicans (all of them “the lesser evil”) are already guilty of destruction and damage and injury. No one, here, is guessing they will potentially do “lesser evil” if we vote for them. They are called them “lesser evil” right up-front because they have proven that they already inflict damage, destruction and injury.
What has suffered damage and destruction? Well, what is our vote for? What purpose does it serve? What does our vote influence or effect? Fundamentally, we vote to choose the form of government by which we want to be governed. True conservatives want a traditional, originalist interpretation of our Founding documents and a return to and preservation of the Republic we were Founded to be. So it follows that ultimately it is our Republic form of government we are concentrating on here that is already damaged and will be subject to even more injury.
Does it matter “lesser” or “greater”? Let me ask you. If your wife or husband was having an affair, evil enough in itself, I think, would it make any difference to you if it was a “lesser” one? You think you could get away with it? “Honey, trust me. It was a ‘lesser’ affair. My ‘lesser’ infidelity won’t damage our marriage as badly (greatly) and neither should you should be as painfully (greatly) torn up about it.”
Would it be any better, make it any better, make you feel any better, if your child was a victim of a pervert’s molestation, certainly evil in itself, at a “lesser” level? Is the psychological damage less if it is fondling or rape -- or are both, in your conservative view of the World, equally evil? Will you less viciously rip the heart out and nuts off the perp if he commits the former? I thought not.
What about this one. Seems poignant. What if America suffers another terrorist attack and this time 30,000 are massacred. Will we then call September 11, 2001 the “lesser evil” attack?
Whether “lesser” or “greater” matters to you depends, I think, on how well you know and appreciate the American history that gave us the freedoms we have in this country, what responsibilities you believe you have, if any, about insuring those freedoms endure, and what range of view you hold about life. Evil is either evil for you all the time, or it’s subject to never being so at all.
We have to accept the truth of our action, here. If we say, “George Bush and the Republicans are the ‘lesser of the two evils,’” and we are using that to justify voting for them over the “greater evil,” the Liberals and Democrats, then we must, also, responsibly accept that by choosing “the lesser evil” we contribute absolutely nothing toward bettering the quality of our government or reversing the damage we already disapprove. And, no, neither do we stabilize the deterioration, as many of us contrive. No, we don’t. So we should own up to it. What we do is simply condone and progress the continued destruction of our American Republic.
Edmund Burke, the prominent Conservative Father-figure that contemporary CON-servatives and republicans most love to quote, said: “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
To go by that, it seems pretty clear. How, then, you ask, can conservatives and republicans....? Why ask how!? The answer is always the same. Hypocrisy is how. Hypocrisy is always the answer. Every time. Of course, no hypocrite will admit it.
But what does this inform a ‘good Conservative man’ he should do? If you vote for the “lesser evil,” yes, you may say “I did not do nothing, I did something.” But a ‘good Conservative man’ would also, I think, have to confess, “The something I did was not good. In fact, what I did ‘conserved’ progress toward the triumph of evil.”
More conservatives than ever before are questioning the wisdom of “voting for the lesser evil” because they are finished with giving the benefit of the doubt. Bush was sold as a true, traditional conservative and it was an easy sell because he seemed it. His personal life personifies traditional conservatism and we bought the public relations package that this homebound conservatism would extend itself into a Bush Presidential administration and give us the full conservative politics we desired. It did not. It really did not. Less conservatism was delivered than anyone even worst imagined.
As a conservative President he came nowhere near conservative politics. And, now, his presidency is the end of true conservative patience in this political regard. Conservatives have long accepted that republicans have long been void of true, traditional conservatism. Yet they tried to work with the system in the best way they could just to get conservative politics in hotflashes. After Bush’s shocking performance, allowed because true conservatives swallowed it once again to give their benefit of the doubt one more time, that's not good enough any more. And the primary reason might not be the first reason you think.
On a deep, spiritual level, Bush understands the pure evil of terrorism. But while he has been preoccupied with his heart defending this country against terrorism from that spiritual perspective he holds, he hasn’t used his mind to communicate (and educate) traditional conservative fundamentals to defend either the history or soul of this great, one-of-a-kind nation against the even more dangerous evils of political correctness and moral relativity.
In fact, his outright ignorance of the importance of American history and conservative fundamentals, or his inability to coherently communicate them, have given political correctness and moral relativity an unprecedented opportunity to enlarge their assault on this country’s history, virtues, principles, and ideals -- its soul -- more than ever before. Yes, even more than during the Clinton Presidency; when, at least, you had some republican representatives using the moral eloquence of this country’s history to explain why Clinton's actions were so reprehensible.
Bush busted the budget, sure. He let campaign finance fly by, and that education blunder, “No Child Left Behind,” and many other non-conservative political issues, there, inside DC. But that he didn’t stand up and bust some anti-American ass with righteous patriotic boasting about the verifiable greatness of this country and its citizens, to beat back the onslaught of p/c and moral relativity, is what cost all of us Americans the most.
Reality and truth have never, ever shared an equal stage with their opposites like they do today. Never. In fact, today, there is more tolerance and perpetuation of what is false and unreal than for what is true and real. And the tolerance for it has spread, unchecked, from the domestic cultural community into World affairs. All because Bush, all the while having the bully pulpit, never grasped the significance of conservative fundamentals well enough to articulate them at every single turn. This is what is different from what has ever come before this time in our history and why traditional conservatives, who believe in preserving original American ideals and principles, believe in sustaining these great virtues as endowed by a Creator who shone a brighter, more penetrating sunlight on this land, are beginning to realize not only how damaged our Republic form of government is but how dis-spirited and depthless America’s soul has become, as well; and in their guts and consciences they know something must be done about it now, not later.
“Lesser” or “greater” once meant giving attention to the “lesser” or “greater” conservative quality of the republicans we had to choose between. But after George Bush’s off-the-radar, non-conservative Presidency, it’s not just about how to fix republicanism with conservatism anymore. It’s more about what do we do to recapture our unembarrassed American pride that we are the superior and supreme leaders on this planet and how to correct the degraded, false reputation of America that our very own conservative President, ignorantly and in the name of political-correctness, sat back and allowed the World to get away with.
How many times have Bush and his administration and our republican representatives, during the last 6 years, capitulated to political correctness and its pressure to accept what is simply not reality, instead of standing up and calling things out for the fantasies they are? Even the philosopher who most inspired Bush found out that if you don’t counter the lies with at least voicing the truths, the lies soon enough become the truths. Of course, ‘his’ philosopher did this by design, so the fable goes.
How much more negative bashing and ridiculing does this country have to take before it stands up and defends itself by using ITS TRUTHS to fight back? How can American citizens be inspired to, if the President of the United States won’t? Practically the whole world depends on us for assistance for something or other. Can’t we say this? The ones that voice the most hatred are the ones we support entirely. Can’t we say this? Are they not human beings, too? Can’t we point this out? Did American Human Beings have their greatness handed to them? Can’t we say, “Hell, no, they didn’t. They built it themselves”? Or did they use the gift of their incredible humanness to do it themselves”? Can’t we say, “Hell, yes, they did”? Everything American Government gives to others is there to begin with because they take it directly from the citizens. Can't we expect that for price we pay to have a governmnet that does more than it is actually allowed and nothing competently of what it may, that, at the least, our President will stand up and defend us, his American family, against the insults and lies outsiders use to divide us here in this country? Is "us" in "You are either with us or against us" someone esle or does it mean "us," as in, the American citizen? Can’t the brightest, most capable public relations personnel inside the administration put together press piece after press piece that communicates these simple ideas and truths? Can’t we? Why not? Or are these people only scholars and intellectuals who only buy into ideas that are too stupid (beyond comprehension and workability)?
Where is it written that America’s leader has to keep his mouth shut when the country he leads and the people he represents are belittled and ridiculed by the other countries and people we assist? What kind of loyalty is this? Is it diplomacy or dishonor? Is there anyone else in the World who can have as much media time as he desires to counter the false and underserved mischaracterizations that are dismantling America's warranted pride?
When did it become bragging to simply state the great things you have done, in your own defense, when others are making claims that you have done otherwise? America is not the greatest in its numerous virtues and achievements because we say it. It is the greatest because it has proven it. Over and over. Time and time again. Proven it, mind you, to the very same hate-filled countries and people who declaim we are evil.
Are we ashamed of all the good America has done for others all over the World? Is it called modesty to not defend this country’s true reputation when others make false accusation after false accusation that we are evil? Or is this called stupidity and self-destruction? How many times has America warred at its own great expense to achieve peace for the World’s sake and then all alone picked up the bill for rebuilding the countries it brought to its knees?
Have we become so compromising and politically correct with what realities are, that we are willing to let America’s truths just fade away? Did generations of Americans set such incredible examples only to have us be so embarrassed by them that we are willing to remain silent in the face of the vociferous envy and jealously spewed by other nations? Is it ok with us that America, all it stands for and all it has done, will be potentially erased from the history of the World?
Bush’s incompetent lack of explaining and defending these things is more the cause for American dissatisfaction here at home and increased hatred around the World than even going into Iraq to hunt down terrorism.
Bush had a better chance at a greater legacy than any President, ever. The fated circumstances of his Presidency gave him a shot at becoming America’s Churchill. Not even the Cold War and Reagan’s “evil empire” contest compares.
Bush started out using “good and evil," but when the enemy propagandists fired back with agitprop that America was evil and, then, Bush was pushed by this country's own enemies-within, liberal sympathizers for One World Nation egalitarianism, to take sides and declare, unequivocally and consistently, who was good and who was evil, he blinked. He cowered to political correctness and moral relativity. He refused to call America the incontestable exemplar of good that it is. When he did, the rest of the anti-American World saw their opening and began taking their shots. And when they did, the steel in the back of Bush and his administration melted to putty.
He never once rebutted the ever-increasing criticism of America taking the attack to terrorism, instead of waiting for it to strike us again, with the moral history lessons previous "good vs evil" conflicts throughout Western Civilization offered. These would have turned much indecision and doubt into inspiration and will to win, will to war -- the will of Americans to kill the enemy. And for those who weren’t inspired, he would have used another history lesson: to not pay attention to the pacifist idiots and still kill the enemy. To crush them and bring them to their knees. Make them surrender either their will for war or their lives. He, alone, was charged with this motivational and moral responsibility -- and he failed us. Slumped more amd more at every successive podium, he simply failed us.
The war became a problem because it is called a war but is not fought and handled as one.
If Bush knew his history and conservative fundamentals, there would be not be a war going on anymore. A long time ago it would have be completed. There would be peace and stable rebuilding going on. The answer he would have found in the history he does not know is that war is war and it must be fought as one. Although war is a test of many skills -- wits, bluff, cunning, and patience --, in the end, it comes down to who least hesitates to kill. When you don’t kill the enemy, you can’t win the war. War is not hell on its own. It takes human willingness to make it one. Bush continued using “resolve” and “steeled” in cheap, tawdry speech talk, but whatever he had was gone and even he knew it. When we believed he had it, it inspired us. He’s not inspiring anyone anymore.
Maybe we are at fault for ever thinking he did. After all, here’s a conservative President who wouldn’t impose his political capitol when he had it to grab back the original freedoms and rights we’d lost over the years, yet he had little trouble in pushing compromise on conservative principles as far as they would go.
These same unprincipled, CON-servative hypocrites who have no shame in insulting us with what we should never be asked to do in the first damn place (“vote for the lesser evil”), tell us, that the time will come, if we buy time now “voting for the lesser evil”, when a real traditional American, a true Conservative, will walk into the political limelight and rescue the cause, save the original ideals of the American Republic.
This is not true.
After this recent election, the most infamous conservative mouthpiece there is, one who calls himself the “leader of the conservative movement,” told callers to his program, “It is not our President's responsibility to educate others on conservatism or advance it.”
In the strictest sense, of course not. The President’s main job is not to be a teacher. But he should be capable of it. A conservative President, especially, should be capable of telling all Americans, all the time, about the history and legacies of this great country. These are the things conservatism needs most to conserve America’s principles and ideals. Conservatism is not something separate from Americanism. Not to this country, and not to its conservatives, it is not. Conservatism means to preserve America’s Founded way of governing people. If the man conservatives get elected as President professes conservative principles so that he can get the votes to be elected, then it is his responsibility to advance those conservative (American) ideas every time he opens his mouth.
A President of the United States who claims to be conservative should not have to make extra effort or set aside extra study time to teach and advance those conservative principles he claims he believes in. They should ALL be so much a part of him that the storyteller, historian, teacher and President are indistinguishable from one another. Conservative traditional American ideals should naturally come forth every time he talks about anything.
This CON-servative mouthpiece totally discharged the President from any responsibility whatsoever. So, to use this CON-servative leader’s own words to refute his and his colleague’s own advice, integrating larger true conservatism into the Republican party is not going to happen by “voting for the lesser evil.” If the conservative President we elect gets a pass, then you can bet it’s a bunch of baloney these “conservative leaders” believe true conservatism is going to happen one piecemeal conservative politician by one piecemeal conservative politician at a time.
Compromise, now, will not bring us a true, traditional conservative, later. It’s a dream for those telling us because they profit from it; for us true conservatives, it’s a nightmare we only end up losing our principles in. If we want an original version of America back, then we must take it back principle by principle, not one compromise at all, ever. Not on anything.
The forums and mouthpieces warn us to imagine the damage if Democrats and liberals get in charge. Hell, how much more experimentation do we need to endorse, with our vote, before we accept the heartsick reality that the injury to our Republic with either party in charge, as they both stand in quality right now, is the exact same. None. That’s how much more experimenting I need to do. I’m done.
From here on out, I’m not swallowing pride and principle and neglectfully forsaking a little more Conservative (American) this and little more Conservative (American) that each election, anymore. I’m withholding my vote. On principle alone I’ve turned my back on millions of dollars to conduct myself as a responsible, mature adult, who as a concerned father and husband believes it does absolutely matter that grown ups conduct their lives abiding by the obvious differences between right and wrong. I don’t need to follow the advice of a hypocrite, who, during election season, pulls a bait-and-switch on me, telling me I should clearly see the principle in “voting for the lesser evil” while they have never once in their whole lives put principle before paycheck. Not one single time. They cannot even withhold calling kook fringe enemies “my good friend” even as they are separated by miles and miles and talking to them through television monitors. They know politics as well as they do because they have characters just as empty and corrupt as the politicians they call “good friends.” Thank God, I don’t have the courage to be that kind of coward.
I say, we true conservatives, us traditional, American patriots, let the greater of the two evils have it. Serve it to them on silver platter and throw in enough pieces of our finest silverware so they get busy devouring the feast. If they have the destructive wherewithal, then let them drive us, the citizenry who contemplates somberly why to even cast our vote if it makes little difference, to the brink of a certainly justified, and for sure to one day come, revolution. Bring it and bring it now while we are alive and healthy and stout enough in brain and brawn not to sit back and take it anymore. Bring it now, not after I am gone and my own progeny have to fight it sadly knowing full well I and my generation saw it coming but chose to sidestep the difficulty and danger of dealing with it.
While they work on that, we turn back the clock of time and use our admiration for American history, especially the Founding times and its Great people. Those people were the real deal. They ate and crapped heroism. What sacrifices have any of us made that compare? Tell me. I am listening. I can’t hear you. Why in heaven's name are we listening to the noise and following the lead of tiny-principled tin soldiers, when we can turn to the stalwart wisdom, courage and heroism of our American forefathers? They made sacrifices we can never even begin to comprehend. Why can’t we find more of this traditional spirit to just do the right and principled thing because it is simply the right and principled thing and that is all, nothing else?
Let us use this history, the magnificence of those lives -- our own Creator-endowed American history and ancestry! -- to guide us in what we should do. The answer is there. Those voices are waiting to counsel us. The system they Founded is broke beyond practical repair. In fact, they predicted the breakdown over 230 years ago! They knew IF the people ever became comfortable and silent in tolerating vices and abuses that would ultimately totally destroy it, it would be a foregone conclusion that their Great Republic would meet its end.
Have we lost our manly, patriarchal instincts that damn much? Are we males fathered by God, or are we pansy-assed, excuse-making Godly Men who preach one thing and do another, as the cowardly reprobates of creative entertainment tell us today? Are the soldiers and warriors and gladiators of modern military warfare the only ones willing to bleed for all that our ancestors have done before us? Can’t we even overcome our silly uncomfortableness to talkback when we hear what is not right, hear ideas that will not make the World work for our own children? If another adult was beating on your child, would you just stand there and watch it happen? Is the loss of freedom not a more brutal beating? Is the one not okay with you and the other one is? What, you think you can come back from grave and do then what you don’t do now? Are you so afraid of hurting someone’s feelings with political-incorrectness that you cannot even tell them to go to hell with their anti-American ideas? What, you can think ahead to imagine what the Super Bowl will be like 20 years from now, but you can't think about what the future holds for your kids? Real tough guy you are. When the shit hits the fan years from now, you can bet my kid will use your kid for a shield.
We need to consult with the ghosts of our Founders more than ever. They had no qualms, there was no hesitation -- they knew it was their adult responsibility not to forgo the battle, there and then, and handle all its hardships whatever they may be, and not faintheartedly pass the potentially deadly challenge onto future generations.
No, I’m not advocating the initiation of violence. I'm so sick and tired of having to provide these disclaimers, but I know someone will read my words here and run and yell to the World that Warrior is advising all the peeved true Conservatives to start a real war, just take it to the streets and start dueling with one another.
What I am trying to do is motivate and encourage you to find greater strength in yourselves by learning about the bold, courageous actions of greater people than us. Whatever happened to a man's desire to be inspired by great acts that say big balls? The Founders left deep trenches dragging theirs around.
We have fallen so far. We are such a weak people compared to those regular, common people who rose up to such great heights and sacrificed so much to secure the freedoms we have. How the hell are we going to keep it if we don’t toughen our soft, sun-protected, baby-butt feelings enough to find the strength to say, "No, that idea will not cut it in the World I want my kids to grow up in." What are you willing to do to motivate your soul and character enough to realize how important it is to stand up and at least speak out what you believe deep down inside of you, without compromising one damn thing? When will you do it? Soon? Later? Now? Never?
“It is a contemptible thing to want to live forever When a man's life gives him no relief from trouble. What joy is there in a long file of days, Edging you forward toward the goal of death, Then back again a little? I wouldn’t give much for a man Who warms himself with the comfort of vain hopes. Let a man nobly live or nobly die.” Sophocles
On the surface, it seems barbaric to imagine civilized human beings here in the 21st century would let their behavior regress into a 18th century level of violence. The idea of it is immediately shocking to almost anyone. But I find it worse that few are as shocked that, slowly but surely, our form of government is regressing into an 18th century form of tyranny. Let us never forget the incredible history bequeathed us: It is tyranny that spawns barbarism, not freedom.
You think about it. I already have.
Your Founding Father of Life Intensity,
Always Believe,
Warrior
ROTFLMAO!!! You forgot one...
"LIKE A SLEDGEHAMMER IN THE HENHOUSE"
LOL
That's cute as hell, but now for some reason I suddenly feel like one wrong move could destroy the universe.
Oh well, shit happens. I've yet to fuck up anything I couldn't fix.
Dow up 420, gotta love that green.
Very interesting angle on beating the maarket with silver.
I've also been considering lumber, both wood and composites.
And I still think the Warrior could throw Chucks skinny little ass all over the great state of Texas.
Chuck Norris is a lightweight.
Chuck Norris is hell of an actor, but t-v can even make Hillary seem tough. I also have no doubt in his ass kickin' capabilities, but I think the Warrior could take him.
Just look at the fear in the Hulks eyes... This is the only guy to ever whip his ass.
Maybe he's afraid to say, because none of these brokers are coming clean any public disclosure bears legal ramifications. If he's off in his calculations, they'll have a field day with him. I think he's playing his cards just fine, as it's been a waiting game for the SEC to finally get it in gear.
Can't quit now... Lots of eyes on the global locked micro caps these days. SEC needs to go forward with process. Bottom line. Their salaries depend upon it, IMO.
You also have a short memory, I see...
If I thought the issue of NSS pertained to BCIT, I'd be outraged.
We've learned one brokerage in particular is 60 million short, so do you think all the others are so willing to disclose their position? Or maybe they forgot to keep track? Or maybe their dog ate it? So many questions surrounding this issue.
...And please tell me where I said there was only 12 selling fakes. Don't know what you're trying to twist this little chat into, but I'm not up for all night banter, so don't complicate things.
There's still much light to be shed on this issue I speak of, and I find it quite odd that you fear facts of the unknown.
Where will you focus your rage, if indeed, NSS is one day discovered? And FTD's? And failure to report sales of air shares into the public float?
Denial of reality, is there a medical term for that yet?
Another thing, while I've got your attention... If you're so damned disappointed in our CEO, drop him a line and pour your heart out. You've convinced us here, so go work on him.
Great post, Bobby.
Keep diggin'.
Need to broaden your horizons.
Ah-ha, now I think we're getting somewhere. I also think the SEC, FBI, and Uncle Sam are looking at these few precious words from the industry know it all.
Is this what the regulators have told you? 'Cause I just ran a quick scan and found No such assumption.
Let's elaborate on a couple of key words here, if we may, outlined in bold...
no really large number of fails was reported, and the brokerages considered the trades settled.
Your CEO was the problem.
This email pretty much sums up our domestic issues...
Subject: The ant and the grasshopper - A MUST READ
Two Different Versions! Two Different
Morals!
OLD VERSION: The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long,
building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays
the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.
The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!
-------------------------------------------
MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his
house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays
the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands
to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others
are cold and starving.
CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering
grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table
filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast.
How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is
allowed to suffer so ?
Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries
when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'
Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the
news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Jesse then has
the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.
Nancy Pelosi & John Kerry exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the
ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an
immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.
Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act
retroactive to the beginning of the summer.
The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs
and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is
confiscated by the government.
Hillary gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a defamation
suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal
judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent welfare
recipients.
The ant loses the case.
The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the
ant's food while the government house he is in, which just ha ppens to be
the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.
The ant has disappeared in the snow.
The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now
abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once
peaceful neighborhood.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2008
Pretty damned good points you make, Bill. It's hard not to agree with ya'll fiends, you think just like me most of the time (note how I covered my ass on that one). And just like me, ya'll ain't fancy on being spoon fed bullshit, no matter how much sugar's on the fucking top.
War? Just do it. Well, as a last resort, of course. Quit fuckin' around and get 'er done. These terrorist bastards aren't a figment of my imagination, and the ones we're pussy footing around with in Iraq & Afghanistan have asked for it way too many times. Civilian casualties? You're only as good as the company you keep. Racer Ken Schrader has a favorite saying after wrecking, "I'm 50% to blame, I was the one who agreed to be on the track with the idiot." How many lives have been lost to violence and prescription drug abuse here in the good old us of a since the start of the Iraqi war? Get it over with and clean the shit up here at home.
Hang 'em high.
And then ship the fucking towel head back where camels rule the road, and the men all sleep together.
There's been no company that I've seen who could stop naked shorting, as it's considered legal, although often abused.
#2. ...so he's going to issue enough shares to cover all of them.
Was this his idea, or required by the powers that be?
#3. Wrong, we'll still have IOU's.
#4. The r/s is not set in stone, so don't go counting my eggs before the hawk gets them.
#5. Let's leave luck out of it, and allow the SEC to enforce it's buy in rules for Once.
How does that old saying go?
Can't win 'em all.
Maybe Pam has enjoyed much of her success due to help from certain internet posters spreading misleading info and negative tones?
Can't wait to hear this criminal sing.
Anything to please the DTCC.
LOL It was just a thought...
How 'bout Ross "That Giant Sucking Sound" Perot?
He could begin speculation on the Saturn moon with all the oil and a long ass straw...
Piss on it, nevermind. I was never worth a shit debating anything.
My picks.................
07, 29, 20, 18, 11, 12, 42, 88, 1, and the 28 for sentimental reasons.
Nadar. Bloomberg. These names have yet to be discussed as vote takers from the black man/white woman team.
If Bill's bangin' booty in Brooklyn, Hill may find she likes the dark meat. With her sexual frustrations unleashed, we probably won't be getting many bills passed.
At the risk of being bitch slapped and/or banned, I think the elephants are going to remain in power, one way or the other. At least I'm not beating you guys up with words I know nothing about and standing behind my mommy.
Is my new siggy considered offensive?
On second thought, better park them. There's no wipers, and we all know how folks like jeffy feel about safety.
Still on hold?
Hope they pick up before Monday morning.
Give 'em rain tires & restrictor plates and let them race.
Here ya go...
"Come on in boy"
Sure, but that ain't how I feel. I just don't want to be called grandpa until my kids are legal adults, and not the offspring of a complete idiot at anytime thereafter. There's no easy button for shaping children into successful, respected young adults, but parental influence is a strong tool when used properly, such as the brute force and fear methods.
Thanks for offering your assistance.
Bill, the last time I was bored was about 17 years ago laying in the hospital for a week, recovering from a car crash that left me with a few broken ribs and a punctured lung. I'm normally as busy as a triple hump camel in a strip joint, and more times than not I don't have a chance to put up my shutters until wind speeds reach tropical force. In fact, a few years ago in a not so bad storm, after boarding up what seemed like half of Northern Palm Beach County, the wind died down shortly after installing my last full sheet of plywood. Did I mention my incredible luck?
Using the race card to get votes is like using it for sex. We all know the urban legend of black men wanting a pretty white girl, but I was a little surprised when a 17 year old black kid pulled that shit on my daughter a couple years ago at 14, "You won't go out with me 'cause I'm black..." As luck would have it, I just so happened to be standing directly around the corner, and couldn't help but point out that I have the final say in who she dates, and at what age she'll even be Allowed to date. That's when he called me a racist, and I can't recall my exact words, but it was something along these lines...

Thank you for your interest, and it had better be genuine and non-sexual.
Please allow four to six years for processing.
You will be contacted in writing if you are approved. Please do not try to call or write (since you probably can't, and it would cause you injury). If your application is rejected, you will be notified by two gentleman wearing white ties carrying violin cases. (you might watch your back)
To prepare yourself, start studying Daddy's Rules for Dating.
Daddy's Rules for Dating
Your dad's rules for your boyfriend (or for you if you're a guy) :
Rule One:
If you pull into my driveway and honk you'd better be delivering a package, because you're sure not picking anything up.
Rule Two:
You do not touch my daughter in front of me. You may glance at her, so long as you do not peer at anything below her neck. If you cannot keep your eyes or hands off of my daughter's body, I will remove them..
Rule Three:
I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips. Please don't take this as an insult, but you and all of your friends are complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open minded about this issue, so I propose this compromise: You may come to the door with your underwear showing and your pants ten sizes too big, and I will not object. However, in order to ensure that your clothes do not, in fact come off during the course of your date with my daughter, I will take my electric nail gun and fasten your trousers securely in place to your waist.
Rule Four:
I'm sure you've been told that in today's world, sex without utilizing a 'Barrier method' of some kind can kill you. Let me elaborate, when it comes to sex, I am the barrier, and I will kill you.
Rule Five:
It is usually understood that in order for us to get to know each other, we should talk about sports, politics, and other issues of the day. Please do not do this. The only information I require from you is an indication of when you expect to have my daughter safely back at my house, and the only word I need from you on this subject is: 'early.'
Rule Six:
I have no doubt you are a popular fellow, with many opportunities to date other girls. This is fine with me as long as it is okay with my daughter. Otherwise, once you have gone out with my little girl, you will continue to date no one but her until she is finished with you. If you make her cry, I will make you cry.
Rule Seven:
As you stand in my front hallway, waiting for my daughter to appear, and more than an hour goes by, do not sigh and fidget. If you want to be on time for the movie, you should not be dating. My daughter is putting on her makeup, a process than can take longer than painting the Golden Gate Bridge . Instead of just standing there, why don't you do something useful, like changing the oil in my car?
Rule Eight:
The following places are not appropriate for a date with my daughter: Places where there are beds, sofas, or anything softer than a wooden stool. Places where there is darkness. Places where there is dancing, holding hands, or happiness. Places where the ambient temperature is warm enough to induce my daughter to wear shorts, tank tops, midriff T-shirts, or anything other than overalls, a sweater, and a goose down parka - zipped up to her throat. Movies with a stron g romantic or sexual themes are to be avoided; movies which feature chain saws are okay. Hockey games are okay. Old folks homes are better.
Rule Nine:
Do not lie to me. I may appear to be a potbellied, balding, middle-aged, dimwitted has-been. But on issues relating to my daughter, I am the all-knowing, merciless god of your universe. If I ask you where you are going and with whom, you have one chance to tell me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I have a shotgun, a shovel, and five acres behind the house. Do not trifle with me.
Rule Ten:
Be afraid. Be very afraid. It takes very little for me to mistake the sound of your car in the driveway for a chopper coming in over a rice paddy near Hanoi . When my Agent Orange starts acting up, the voices in my head frequently tell me to clean the guns as I wait for you to bring my daughter home. As soon as you pull into the driveway you should exit the car with both hands in plain sight. Speak the perimeter password, announce in a clear voice that you have brought my daughter home safely and early, then return to your car - there is no need for you to come inside. The camouflaged face at the window is mine.
Holy smokes, this explains a lot. Means we may have to start calling Hair Trigger Cheney "Twitchy Dick".
Speaking of twitch, your fears are probably correct in anticipation of earthquakes heading North. Put on a helmet, strap a rubber raft to your ass, you'll be fine.
It's your Birthday?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LARRY!!!
What time will the strippers be arriving?
Dancin' girls & race cars, gonna be a great day...
On the down side, I'll be watching the race on the radio from work, and since I'm probably the only one around here with a 24 foot extention ladder, I'll have to fetch all the panties out of the trees tonight.
Keep the dirty side down!!!
That last line of yours rings so true...
If Chelsea was over there selling girl scout cookies or shaking her ass, they'd be pinning medals all over her flat chest and invite her to every talk show that would have her. Hell, they'd probably even find her a compatible man in the process. But the Senator's Son, on the other hand, went over there and got 'er done without me even finding out about it until today. Me, being a headline grabber, that really does speak volumes. And I've always been a huge fan of underdogs and watersports.
