"A few disappointing earnings releases and some disparate economic data have done their part to stall the market's advance, and political developments abroad have kept investors cautious. But overall tame inflation numbers, though rising over the past few months, solid growth in the domestic economy, and lower unemployment are buffeting the averages from below." eWAN Completes Integration of Proprietary International IP-Based 'TV Guide' Feature for April 19th Launch of Global IPtv Service
SANTA ANA, Calif., Mar 28, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- eWAN1, Inc. (PINK SHEETS: EWAN), announced today it has completed the engineering, testing and integration of its proprietary international IP-based TV Guide, or "IPtv Guide," into the Company's new Global Internet Television service offering, which is set to launch and begin IP broadcasting in near High Definition quality to subscribers on April 19th at the "IPTV & Beyond" Expo in San Diego, California.
eWAN's "IPtv Guide" will be accessible anywhere on the planet in 36 languages, enabling subscribers to access program listings from their local market and time zone (local TV programming) in addition to 75 channels of traditional broadcast television that eWAN will initially offer with the new service. eWAN's "IPtv Guide" will seem familiar to subscribers because it closely resembles the interface of Gemstar-TV Guide International's (NASDAQ: GMST) domestic TV Guide(R) product that is widely used on major U.S. cable systems. "IPtv Guide," however, will offer users additional functionality and interactivity above and beyond that of Gemstar's product, including interactivity with eWAN's time-shifted feature set, "EVO," which is similar to the offering by TiVo (NASDAQ: TIVO) and, because eWAN's Global IPtv Service will offer a level of personalization never before seen, also enable local and traveling users the functionality and convenience of being able to tune in to programming of their personal preference wherever they are in the world, at any time.
Scott Kettle, eWAN's President, noted, "When we begin Internet broadcasting from the 'IPTV & Beyond' Exposition on April 19th, we will demonstrate not only near HD quality reception of our programming in several international locations, but our ability to service multi-language consumers all over the world, in any market and time zone. The additional functionality of our 'IPtv Guide' represents the final piece in the completion of our "Triple Play" Wireless Digital Set-top box and Global IPtv Service combo, and is sure to impress all exhibitors and visitors to the show."
About eWAN1, Inc.
eWAN's wireless "Triple Play" Digital Media Center connects directly to a television to enable viewing of broadcast and cable television (IPtv), enables video-on-demand of movies and documentaries, features traditional Internet access, telephone service (VOIP) and data and video capability including video conferencing. The boxes' new IPtv cache will also feature music channels that will play music and the corresponding video if it is available, as well as provide "time shifted" services such as the ability to record one program while watching another, similar to the offering of TiVo(R). The set-top box is pre-bundled with a monthly subscription to eWAN's new Global Internet Television service, which is scheduled to launch on April 19th, and will enable subscribers to access their local TV stations, plus eWAN's initial 75 channels of "A la Carte" traditional broadcast television and content delivered in 36 major languages, anywhere on the planet. eWAN believes it is the first company with the ability to deliver Internet TV with the clarity of high definition to its subscriber's TV sets. eWAN's wholly-owned subsidiary, Direct Connect, will provide traditional broadcast television, including such popular programming as HBO, CNN (subsidiaries of Time Warner (NYSE: TWX)), Showtime, (a subsidiary of Viacom International (NYSE: VIA) (NYSE: VIA.B)), ABC and ESPN, allowing subscribers to pick and choose only those channels they are willing to pay for.

In front of an audience of the world's leading telecommunications companies, including Motorola (NYSE:MOT), Alcatel, Bell Canada, Siemens (NYSE:SI), and a host of others, eWAN will debut its first-to-market IPtv network by demonstrating and deploying its multiple channels of "On Demand" content delivered to subscriber's televisions through DSL or any other broadband Internet connection.

Infonetics magazine reports that IPTV is set to skyrocket to 53.7 million subscribers and $44 billion in service revenue by 2009, and that the number of IPTV subscribers in North America will increase 12,985% between 2004 and 2009.

eWan Attends CAB/SAT Conference & Increases Digital Set-Top Box Manufacturing & Production Capacity to 1 Million Units In Anticipation of April 19th Launch of Global IPtv Service
Mar 23, 2006 8:52:00 AM
Copyright Business Wire 2006
SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 2006--
eWAN1, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EWAN) announced today that the Company has, in preparation for the highly-anticipated launch of its global IPtv service on April 19th, increased manufacturing and production capacity of its 'Triple Play' Digital Set-Top Boxes to 1 million units for the next twelve months, above and beyond the 250,000 boxes the Company has projected will be sold to consumers by the end of 2006.
eWan's management visited its manufacturing facilities outside Beijing, China to make arrangements for additional capacity after attending the 12th annual Cable, Satellite, Broadcast & Communications Exhibition (CAB/SAT) conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on March 7 - 9, where the Company met with interested parties and evaluated the competitive landscape for its IPtv service. With 45 new free-to-air satellite TV channels having emerged in the Arab World during the past four months alone, and projections that the Middle East and North African regions will have more than 41 million multi-channel television homes by 2010, 68% of which will be connected to cable and satellite television, the Company has conceded that its global sales strategy includes a heavy presence in the region.
eWAN's President, Scott Kettle commented, "In my 20-plus years of telecommunications experience I have never seen such a vibrant marketplace as is emerging in the Middle East. I personally covered every exhibit at this very important exposition, and I saw no other IPtv service provider representation, convincing me that eWAN will be the 'first-to-market' global ipTV network, certainly the first in the region." He continued, "While we are comfortable with our sales projections for our bundled 'triple Play' box and IPtv service through the end of 2006, the Company is in the midst of negotiations with a number of parties which could result in the Company exceeding its combined box and service sales projections by a wide margin. Considering our pre-launch orders and indications and the recent discussions, including those initiated in Dubai, we have decided to ratchet up our pre-launch production capabilities as a precautionary measure in the event that our initial projections significantly underestimated worldwide demand for our IPtv service."
