I agree. Good indicators.
SW, has been quoted here every few weeks since I arrived here. Even 5 years later.
No. Reading it I would assume this "ex IR director" made legal threats to the company. Hence the category it was filed under. Again I suggest reading the reports.
I can only see one IR director in the past 10 years for Atlantic, so it must mean Brent O'Connor.
Mr. Brent O'Connor, Investor Relations Director, commented, "The world has now shifted into a historical Green Boom, therefore we are excited to be alongside of a revolutionary company of this caliber, during these unprecedented times."
Tell us Stock Whisperer....
Sounds like you should short this!
Is Brent still promising you $10.00 a share? I hope he is not.
Verdique, perhaps you miss this Jan 27, 2015 PR discussing various projects. This contradicts the "they haven't talked about Ecuador in a year and a half"
http://www.atlanticwindandsolar.com/news-79a.html
South America
Atlantic has signed a Letter of intent to sell its interest in its 20 MW Lagarto project in South America. Under the terms of the agreement, Atlantic would earn a one-time developer fee plus a gross production royalty that would result in over 15 years of cash flow.
You can also ask Brent about it assuming he has sorted out his CRA problems.
I like all the talk about Trahan's past promotions They did go extremely high. AWSL ant from .10 to $4.84.. Lets hope that will be beaten this time At least whoever is here can't say they didn't get a chance to get in before the run. It has been under .50 for a couple years.
Apprentice, don't confuse people with facts.
Actually you mean it is testing and creating 2 year highs. Try looking at the chart.
Red, interesting that you comment on a page that is not the company's PR. Why don't you look at the official news release and not a critic's generated page. That page is not the AWSL news.
Desperation is in the air!
Firstly, no sales were generated during the Cousin years. All the sales were generated after Trahan stepped in as CEO. He has been trashed here for years so why not on his way out. Lets ignore what was accomplished.
Secondly I expect we will be hearing more about all the other deals under development, from Ecuador to Ontario to around the world.
Finally, the good news is the Next quarterly filing is just a couple weeks away. I can't wait to see it!
I sure hope they start promoting this baby. With all the great developments, increased sales and earnings and balance sheet improvements this could be ripe for mergers or an uplisting? Looking at Wilkes credentials I could only think this would help.
Remember with no sales and huge losses AWSL was promoted from .10 to $4.84. I wonder what is possible now...
Atlantic Appoints John S. Wilkes as CEO to Lead South Asian Expansion
TORONTO, Apr. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlantic Wind & Solar, Inc. (OTC: AWSL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John S. Wilkes as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wilkes will oversee the implementation of the AWSLs' South Asian expansion and seek to further elevate AWSL as an international presence in the renewable energy market.
Mr. John S. Wilkes, M.B.A., C.P.A., C.A. (53)
Mr. Wilkes earned his C.A. designation with Price Waterhouse in Toronto, Canada. Upon obtaining his designation Mr Wilkes worked in Private Industry for a brief period of time before joining Coopers & Lybrand in Toronto, Canada. While there Mr. Wilkes focused on Mergers and Acquisitions. In the early '90's Mr. Wilkes joined a junior investment bank Pagun Capital Corporation where he spent most of his time evaluating environmental technologies. Since 2005, Mr. Wilkes has been an Independent Investment Management Professional, making private investments in both private and public companies that, for the most part, have their core business in the environmental space.
Mr. Wilkes has lived and worked in Asia and, over the years, has developed a vast network in this region.
Mr. Gilles Trahan
The appointment follows the resignation of Mr. Gilles A. Trahan, Chairman and CEO. Mr. Trahan stepped in as interim CEO in 2011 and successfully turn Atlantic around, back to its roots as a lean, nimble development company. Following record and rising losses and seemingly troubled times for the company and still no sales and $2.7 million in losses Mr. Trahan was tasked with a immediate turn around to ensure a future for its stakeholders.
During his tenor as interim CEO, Mr. Trahan worked closely with management cutting losses and building the sales pipeline. Atlantic's project pipeline expanded exponentially, spanning 3 continents. During this time, delivering triple digit growth 3 years running and firmly planting the company in profitability.
Commenting on the appointment and resignation, Mr. Trahan stated "while it is with a heavy heart I announce my resignation, I knew this was a short term assignment. As I stated to the board upon my appointment, upon me successfully turning this company around I will be seeking a successor. With the company now profitable, a very bright future and with securing the right successor the time is now". Adding further.., "I am confident with Mr. Wilkes experience and pedigree that he is the right choice to lead Atlantic to much greater heights. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to all the employees and management and our shareholders for their continued support over the past few years. With a vested interest in continued success, I too will add my support to the company as it embarks on its next stage of evolution".
The Board of Directors welcomes Mr. Wilkes and looks forward to working with him to continue Atlantic's expansion globally. The Board would also like to express its sincere gratitude to Mr. Trahan for his commitment and dedication to Atlantic. His leadership was instrumental to the company's growth. We wish him good health and success on his future endeavors.
Not sure how our friend gilda had a version like that. But that was NOT an AWSL release. here it is on the OTCMarkets.com site and everywhere else including the email release from AWSL. While I have seen a spin on good to bad before, this is truly a new low.
Things are looking great for AWSL!

Good point!
I like the Mergers & acquisition background of Wilkes!
They eluded to Asia in the annual report. I have a feeling we are about to hear much more about it.
Timing almost makes me feel Trahan felt he proved the doubters. He sure had some abuse thrown at him here. As a large shareholder of AWSL I would have to think he will still be helping ensure things keep on track.
Can't wait to see the next PR!!!
... And go!
Looking better every day!
AWSL has not issued a new share in years. In fact in about 5 years the total was 218,000 restricted shares.
I can not see them doing any favours for a short!
I always get a kick out of watching the short manipulative trades. Friday close at .40 bid and this am of course it trades to .3801 then the .395 bid comes up.
This is so blatantly a tactic to show the stock down trying to get weak nervous hands to sell. Then to make sure they can capture the sales they go high bid again at .395.
I have watched this game on AWSL for a few years now. I get the distinct feeling they are going to be upside down under water as the selling is not coming and the news and earnings continue to increase.
You mean artificial selling? I am willing tibet we will see the short come in to cover yesterdays shorts sales within the next few days.
I also do not for a moment think we will have to wait for another financial report. Based on the reports its sure sound like a tremendous amount of things they have going on. I would expect news to follow.
http://otcshortreport.com/index.php?index=awsl&action=view#.VTAy4qbnza5
FINRA nor OTCMarkets show short data that often. So if you want to see it for the single day that is a great link.. Of course the short has three days to cover (or get a friendly trader to let him pass the short position to him within 3 days and so on).
The only way it show up on OTC or FINRA is if they do NOT cover within 3 days and continue to hold the short position past the 15th and end of month. That is a fact .
Artificial sell off. With buys come in at .48 why not sell at .39 right? lol
Can wait to see the short report for the day.
Clearly someone thinks this buying won't keep up. I think they are mistaken.
all indicators giving it a 100% buy rating, short, medium and long term
http://www.barchart.com/opinions/stocks/AWSL
It is also up almost 500% what it was in 2009 (the same 5 years ago you speak of.) . Add the 2 stock dividends and you are up 750%.
If you are going to cherry pick the high trade for the year I can pick the low that it was a few months earlier.
Unless you haven't looked today it is now a four bit stock.
.48 by .49 last at .48.
Chairman’s Address to Shareholders
...2014 was another great year for Atlantic. 2015 is shaping up to be even brighter.
I am pleased to report Atlantic continued its sales and earnings growth established over the past five years. Sales growth continued with sales up 38 % to $5,409,135.00 and profitability up substantially to 2,410,768.00 representing a 1,138% improvement for the same period.
Operating expenses dropped for the 6th straight year to 542,355.00 down 46.6% from the previous year.?
The balance sheet was improved significantly with the reduction of accounts payables and accounts receivables 45.4% and 53.7% respectively.
Total liabilities were reduced to 2,267,031 down 53% against total assets of 4,407,107.
This was despite the foreign exchange hit on Canadian dollar derived sales. We are very proud at the work we have done to strengthen our balance sheet, continue to cut cost while still growing our sales pipeline and I thank our team for their dedication and commitment.
I am very pleased with 2014 and prospects for the future at home and internationally.
Finally I would also like to express my deep appreciation to our suppliers, affiliates, consultants, and co-workers and shareholders for all their continued support.
Sincerely,
Gilles .Trahan
Gilles A. Trahan Chairman
Hahaha, Clearly it has become very difficult to dream up complaints.
Go AWSL Go
Must be. Call him and ask.
I was able to open the annual report.
Nice to see the balance sheet improve so much. The $2.4 million profit and the reduction of the payables and receivables are making the look better and better.
But lets hear your critique. We all get a kick out of it.
Look at the trading. All buys on offer then a 180 share down tick. Like I said... "end of the month walk down"

I see they cleaned up the website. I also see the pipeline of projects has grown.
Of course today is month end so the monthly "end of month walk down is on".
The closing price today reflects how traders positions look. For a short position a higher trading price can get them heat to cover or add more margin security. On the long side of course and short wants to make sure the statements for everyone are not really going up. Even if there has been gains all month. A discouraged investor is a shorts favourite investor.
Nice to see all the buys. Almost everything at the offer today. (of course downtick with 400 shares to close almost flat)

Instead of re-investing in new projects? So you would rather they gave out a penny or two a share and then have to go out and raise money if they want to grow. I would tend to disagree with the idea. It is a couple years too early in my opinion.
So forgotten it was bid up to .40 and traded another 16,500 or $7,000 on no news.

What do you mean convertible? There is NO convertibles on this stock. If someone needs to wait until $10.00 to be satisfied with a gain that is there choice I guess.
I watched this go from .10 to $4.84 in a couple months. I watched it trade in the $2.00 range with volume for about a year and above $1.00 for about two years. I watched the shareholders increase their holdings by 50% via 2 stock dividends during this time.
Granted the promotion and awareness seemed to stop around the $2.00 level due in part, I assume, to the business not catching up with the stock. This was not because of financials or lack of financials as the incredible rise from .10 to $4.84 was during the time the company had $0 in sales and millions in losses.
As for you telling me to show you this and show you that. I am not going to waste my time spinning my wheels for you. Motivations are clear so this is wasted time.
But the bottom line, with or without a short seller (which I believe there to be), this company is continuing to grow and deliver for shareholders. I am sure the more buying that continues to come in will keep pushing the price up.
I have read for a couple years the "proof the company has zero credibility is the extremely low volume". Now the volume is here and the frustration has seemed to mount.
hmmm
So based on your explanation, a market maker can pass on the short interest to another trader or firm within the 3 days after trading and thus there would be no interest ever reported on NASDAQ. This would perhaps be why we see this reported on the daily basis as a significant short interest but not see it on OTCMarkets and NASDAQ.
The theory of shorting would also explain the constant negative attack of this company despite the significant progress that most OTC companies wish they had.
Thanks BBW, but that NASDAQ short link does not cover this recent trading period.
Well here is what I see. However be forewarned BBW will have a fit.
