Hey, if he is no longer with the company then what does that change? Nothing for me. I certainly wasn't doubting that the change to linkedin isn't true...just merely pointing out that he had previously done something similar on Twitter. None of us know with 100% certaintly what is going on...If we did, that would make us insiders (or really good guessers)...True?
LOL...Who knows if it's games or what. But he did change his twitter back a couple of months ago...I posted something about it but then he was back with Atrinsic after a couple of days. So, who knows what is right and what is wrong at this point.
Well, to be honest...David has done this very same thing on his Twitter account several months back. Because they are dark I can't tell whether the changes to Linkedin are valid or not. If they are then to me it's a pretty clear sign that something is about to happen with the company structure...buyout or otherwise but to me, BK just isn't an option to me because of the small debt that was owed and if it ends up being BK I think retail shareholders have a solid case
Who knows...They could turn this thing into a shell company and it sit on the books for years. The point is NO ONE knows and until official news is published, I choose to hang on to my shares. If I get burned then I chalk it up to a very important lesson.
I wonder how Tom Sawyer persuaded others to whitewash the fence for him? Or, why Huck Finn faked his own death?
Although I can't say with 100% certainty, I still do not believe BK is what is going on here. I believe the BOD is letting it's weaker retail investors believe what they want to believe...Thru attrition they are slowly gaining their loss in earnings back IMO.
Things aren't always as they appear...Until a PR is released saying the company is filing BK I just can't see it! But please don't trade on my comments. I have nothing to lose at this point so to remain positive and await the outcome is what I choose to do. I can be patient with the BOD.
I think it would depend on the reason they might be taking this company private...
Option 1) Take private to avoid regulataory costs and other hassle: Yes, I believe they would remain with the company as it is currently aligned
Option 2) Take private in a Reverse Morris Trust where insiders buy (an insider buyout) the majority of the float and then the subsidiary (Atrinsic Affiliate) becomes the new entity: In this case, the employees may or may not stay depending on the new structure and direction of the company
Option 3) Take private to gain control of the majority of the float and then sell the company to a big bidder...No retail investors riding coat tails and in this case employees may move to the buyer in anticipation of the agreement or to a totally different entity altogether depending on the overall plan
AAPT - DF, I sure hope you were able to buy in on the dip this morning!!! This thing is looking awesome!!!
I'm not familiar with that term for a candlestick..."death candle"???? Can you provide a link and an illustration so those of us less educated can know what to look for when we are watching for the dreaded "death candle"!!!
And while we are in class, can you tell us your definition of a downtrend?
TIA
EVGI - Someone called this an Uptank 3 months ago at .07...I hit the refresh button. Definitely an uptank now at .005
News out!!
AAPT - Hope you are getting back in this morning before the majority of the market sees the good news out man...
LOL...I just know how I am when I get a ton of calls at my office. It gets frustrating and when you are in the middle of something and the phone rings you have to interrupt progress to talk and then it takes 10 minutes just to remember where you were in your progress...we are prolonging the outcome if we are right in our DD
I appreciate the effort and you sharing on the board regardless
I thought we were going to stop calling the company for a few weeks...Can we go back to that and just be patient for a little while? We know they aren't going to answer our questions and by calling we are just pushing buttons and creating opportunites for them to feed us information that may not have all the blanks filled in, which only leads to more speculation, misinformation and creates doubt...which I'm sure is their intent.
Well, I guess that means that I'm in ALL the wrong stocks then because most of mine are low volume today and trading sideways. Guess we can't all be in the winners eh?
LOL...I am amazed everyday by something that somone else knows, so although it's rare, I do enjoy sharing something I know with someone who doesn't already know that "something" Education comes in many forms and venues...not just in school. Don't ever stop learning!

oh, and one more thing! Sit down with a list of questions and a video camera with the older generation in your family and learn everything you possibly can from them before they are gone and can no longer share...They've seen a vast change in this world that we haven't been privy to and can enlighten us so we don't repeat the same mistakes

Hey Bass...You are in college right?
I learned this little trick AFTER I finished college and got in the military. I was looking for a way to find information in a document quickly and finally got the right person to tell me. Try this when doing researh and reading long documents/looking for key words...
Press the Control button and the "F" button at the same time and it'll bring up a search box inside your document to type in what you are looking for. It's how I find the majority of my research so quickly. But that is a neat little trick that you'll use the rest of your life if you do a lot of information digging online. It even works on word documents, powerpoints and PDFs. You can thank me for the A in your class later. LOL
And BTW...I think Chad was pointing out that Pacific Asia Capital may be old news...not sure. They could be working with them again. Time will tell
Bass...I haven't looked at any of the fundamentals but just looking at that chart it looks like a textbook Head and Shoulders Top Formation. If you expand the chart to the weekly, the current PPS is back down to the average pps for all of 2010 and 2011. I'd personally steer clear of it unless the fundamentals are there. In other words...it still appears to be in a downtrend after creating the right shoulder and necline. I just glanced quickly at the recent 10Q and for the first three months of 2012 they've almost trippled their net comprehensive loss over the same time period in 2011.

THOUGHTS...SPIN-OFFS and REVERSE MORRIS TRUSTS
I didn't want to post this on the other board as it seems it's difficult to get intellectual responses. I know I post a lot and have numerous theories but it seems everytime I find new info it opens another possibility.
I posted this the day that David Rifkin changed his Twitter from Atrinsic, Inc. to Atrinsic Interactive
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=74136672
ATRN - David Rifkin just updated his Twitter to indicate he is now the VP of Search at Atrinsic Interactive, rather than just Atrinsic (As it stated before). Could we see a similiar scenario to the traffix buyout?...If so, should soon see a name change to reflect the company's primary business model...Is Atrinsic Interactive (subsidiary) acquiring Atrinsic (The parent company) or maybe Atrinsic Interactive being purchased from Atrinsic by another company. Or, even better for long term holders is the company has really drilled down on its bread and butter and becomes a top tier ad agency and begins trading in the multi dollar range. I'm down for waiting.
Even with the recent slowdown in M&A activity, spin-offs have been among the transactions of choice in the past year. With everyone from economic mainstays like ConocoPhillips and Kraft to high-profile new players like TripAdvisor engaging in separation deals in the latest round of deconsolidation, it is an opportune time for dealmakers to consider the general implications of a spin-off on transformational corporate merger activity and certain structures that may allow for a combination of the two.
Although generically referred to as spin-offs, the separation transactions we have described can be structured as either a pro-rata distribution of shares of the subsidiary to the stockholders of the distributing parent (a true spin-off ) or a voluntary exchange of the distributing parent’s securities for those of the subsidiary at a set exchange ratio (a true split-off ).
Under the right circumstances, RMTs can be a powerful method for planning a tax-free spin -off followed by a transformational transaction. While a straightforward direct sale of the distributed business would be taxable to the distributing parent, an RMT facilitates such a sale (and potential associated leveraging) on a tax-free basis. If a split-off (as opposed to a spin-off ) is successfully employed, the distributing company achieves the added benefit of “repurchasing” some of its outstanding stock, with a resulting increase in EPS. By combining the attractive elements of a spin- or split-off with the strategic benefits of a stock-for-stock combination, an RMT can provide stockholders with increased value and diversification, allow a distributing parent to streamline its business and even create a monetization opportunity.
Raises hand if it means the difference between making 50% on my investment at a $0.35 price or 400% at $1.15
We've watched some POS pumps with little to no revenues run to $1.50 plus so IMO $1.15 is being extremely conservative.
It's also hard for traders to become investors. We are investors now and many would like to go back to trading..
LOL...The sad part is the legal system allows it by just the slight change of wording. We'll call it the "Business Judgement Rule"...Rather than "Deception" LOL
Almost like we a playing the shell game...
Me: I think the Spyder is in the right hand...
Atrinsic: What Spyder? Where?
LOL
YEP... How much later...we do not know
LOL...I'm sure they have their smart guys coming up with plenty of ideas.

worth the cost to get rid of us
I'm wondering the same thing...I would have thought announcing an increase of 115% in revenue would have blown the top of it! Otherwise, I wouldn't have said anything. Wow...
Anyone on here been keeping a list of MMs on the bid each day? Like a spreadsheet or something by date? Just curious.
Would it? If they are private and the deal consisted of verbage such as "acquired for an undisclosed amount", would that create issues for them?
I'm not sure. Will have to find an example.
Hmmmmm....interesting possibility. Chad you read this? That is definitely a plausible reason for Campbell to come on board in a consultant role.
- Assist CFO in developing short-term financial stategy for the organization
Exactly...that's what I've been saying. It could very well be that Atrinsic has an MM buying back shares into the treasury decreasing the float that they would have to acquire equity for. The fewer shares in the float the more money per share we would stand to make AND less equity the company has to raise to buy the retail float.
