Simple answers, Nidan: Prevention generates no profits, nor does it keep unionized civil service employees busy.
I assess the chances of closing today above 11 at 0.000000%
I hope I am wrong.
2017 redux? I sure hope not...
$1249
That's either the AVXL share price in the year 2525 or the cost of me renting an SUV for a week in Colorado. Could be both I guess.
The wolves are hungry this morning. Nothing tastier than an innocent little biotech...
tom - one of the most consistent short-term indicators I've ever used is the 50-period avg on the 10-day/30-minute chart (roughly the 4-day rolling avg for the thirteen 30-min price pts in a day). When the line peaks and price drops below it we're usually in for several days of price retreat until the 50 line flattens out. Right now we're (surprisingly) straddling the line, which is flat...I was mentally betting that we'd peaked today bringing 11.75 into play shortly - this, of course, could still easily happen.
I find myself dreading the far off day when AD is approved. We might actually go negative.
None.. none at all..
No strength. Ever. Except when reddit gets involved. Let's Go Reddit!
Being of thick German descent, I can confirm that Missling made a pure German move there...
The team's best QB is always the one on the bench in fans eyes
SAVA. One-trick pony and the pony seems lame, at that, w/ a (very) shaky CEO and legal issues to boot. Yet, yet - the market values SAVA over 2x AVXL, despite Anavex having many possible - probable! - irons in the fire.
When this volcano blows it had better resemble Krakatoa.
Tough crowd
Relentless face punching at the hands of company info releases has a way of toughening the crowd...
Where's Charlie Brown? That football needs holding at 4:30 today...
You know, Red, the longer that I own AVXL (and like many others here it's been 6+ years now) the less it's about the prospect of big money and the more it's about getting a potentially miraculous product into the hands of the millions of people who desperately need the benefits of blarcamesine, and eventually 3-71. Like most here I'm retired and would be fine - not ecstatic - if Anavex flopped and went to zero. We all have known pain and there's more to come, unfortunately, for most of us in this fallen world...then we have to witness people like Shkreli and Feuerstein, et al, routinely doing their evil thing to prolong worldwide agony for their grimy pieces of silver.
A better world is coming. Until then may God give us all peace.
I would point out that our competition is getting hit today, but...we have no competition.
To assume that this DOJ is capable of succeeding in any effort to achieve "justice" is a stretch, at best. In the end the innocent will be punished and the guilty will be promoted.
And the winner of Ugliest Chart of the Month is...
More than 20 years ago I subscribed to theStreet.com's pay service. It was Cramer's new toy, and pretty good (Todd Harrison, Kevin Depew, Doug Kass, etc.) at the time. Adam Feuerstein wrote for the site, and as I recall was fairly even-keeled. Eventually all the reputable guys left - I think it was around the time noted major league baseball player/criminal Lenny Dykstra began writing a periodic column on covered calls. I think Cramer always more or less operated on the dark side, but really came out of the closet when he became a tv personality.
The worst week of 6 consecutive bad ones mercifully comes to an end. Thank God.
Chris is pissed.
He's not the only one. The more I read/digest concerning this entire fiasco the angrier I get at Anavex management. Bourbon is correct - the FDA hired guns and the IR "department" have shown themselves to be worthless when the play needs to be made. Anavex was in perfect position - stock got decent hard-earned press through 2021, sp was holding up nicely and poised in early December, competitors were dropping like flies on Raid, and what happens? Missling spikes the ball at the one yard line only to watch it bounce its way out of the end zone. Touchback. Other team's ball. Sorry, investors!
Aaaaaaaaaarrrrggggghh!!!!!
It's a beautiful thing
Why isn’t Rett syndrome jumping up and down and screaming for access?
No bad side effects
50% reduction in seizures
WHat the heck am I missing?
Not a damn thing

THIS
....what's next?
Obviously the beatings will continue until morale improves.
Hate to say it, but there is no support at all below 10 until we hit...7. Seven bucks.
It's as if Anavex manufactures pet rocks or something.
I agree. AVXL has significant cash resources...use some of it to make liars like Feuerstein think twice before attacking again.

It’s how you get wealthy
Some of us need less than the hundred years investing in AVXL seems to require to reach that goal. Or we should have sold nearly a year ago...
"Muted?" I think the word you meant was "catastrophic."
No bid. Disappointing, as always.
No worries... as soon as we round the corner.
All this talk of 'round the corner' is unnerving. You all remember where fudge is made, right? We don't want no stinkin' fudge...
I am still most impressed (chartwise) with ACAD
sab, I'm having trouble seeing the positive chart you speak of...a year ago ACAD was trading at around 55 bucks. Today? 22. Sure, the past four months have seen an increase but that was after a 75% haircut. And 2022, not so good.
That's funny. Late last summer CRTX was the AD flavor of the month w/ the whole dental-AD thing - it hit 120 around August 1 (+/-). Currently trading @ 6.39. RIP.
Celebrate Feb'ish! The Feb'ish wreath
Sounds suspiciously like a festivus knockoff...
IBB cutting through my target of 127 like a hot knife in warm butter.
But look on the bright side: No mean tweets.
Reddit where are you?
These are some 'early-2009-ugly' charts we're looking at.
I think the IBB has another 10% or so downward to go. And you know what that means for our little stock.
IBB's more than halfway there since 1/10. I can't see AVXL pulling out of this until the IBB hits 127 or so. And that's certainly no guarantee.
It is conceivable that some larger investor(s) have reached max pain threshhold for the stock. Obviously one doesn't become (or even stay) wealthy by routinely taking 30-40% haircuts as AVXL has delivered in the past month.
Question for you pilot types: Is this what's known as a flat spin?
