I WAS WRONG!!!!!
It only took 5 minutes. .66 qualifies as mid 60's in my book.
I now think 60 even by 1:00pm.
LOL!!!! All the way to the bank!!!
CPA
I said last week it would hit mid 60's by middle of next week.
I've changed my mind. I now think by noon today.
LOL!!!!!! All the way to the bank!!!!
CPA
What a horrible financing.
It keeps going lower and lower.
I'd bet they weren't even able to raise the total amount they were looking for.
Pathetic, just patethic.
CPA
p.s. let the selling begin!!!
eamonshute,
Yes, that is correct.
CPA
putterboy,
I ran out of posts yesterday, sorry.
By "hacks", I meant computer hackers. I didn't mean to imply that you employed hacks as in lousy workers.
CPA
Pavlath,
Once an asset is written down, you are prevented from writting it back up.
So, When you have sales, you would have less cost in the cost of goods sold had the asset not been written down.
CPA
crazylarry,
Nice to hear from you old friend.
I too think that Wave may succeed. However, I've learned not to count the Wave chickens before they hatch. Apparently the incubation period is way longer than anyone thought.
Things have fallen though before, you just never know with these guys. I'll play the safe route and wait for the numbers to roll in.
CPA
p.s. putterboy, I manage the same issue with employees with my server software. Also, I don't employee any hacks.
putterboy,
Thank you.
No one from the public has access to any of our computers. So, I'm not really worries about information leaking into the wrong hands.
CPA
Doma,
All my clients files are secure. I don't need wave for that.
CPA
putterboy,
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of setting do you use it in and what are you using it for?
As I already stated, I don't have a need for it at this point in time. Doesn't mean I won't in the future, just not right now.
CPA
Doma,
I have more of a clue than you think. I DO UNDERSTAND what Wave's market is.
However, if you were a shareholder and owned the software and had the number of shares of stock he has, wouldn't you try it out (do a little DD) and see how it works? See if it is user friendly? See if it is all its cracked up to be? Maybe report back to the board on all its greatness.
Or, would you blindly trust the Company that it works as advertised?
In fact, why buy it now if you aren't going to use it. Wouldn't a sensible person not spend their money on something until they were going to use it? There might even be updates in the mean time. In which case you spend your money early and end up with out dated software when you finnally use it.
That my friend, is what makes this so ironic!!!
CPA
I find it ironic that you, propable the biggest supporter of Wave, have purchased the software, but have not used it yet.
If you aren't using it, who is going to?
I gotta tell ya, your response indicates to me that the chance of success just got a little bleaker.
CPA
LOL
Doma,
I only asked him if he knew what one was and how to turn it on. He said no but could find out. I told him not to bother. My consultant is very good.
CPA
wavxmaster,
The problem is that those shares if exercised will be sold and help keep the price down. Price stays under a buck it is delisting time.
CPA
No, I don't use it. My network consultant didn't know how to turn the TPM on. Also, who is out there that I can authenticate to? As far as in house security, I already have enough in place for a 15 person operation.
CPA
snackman,
#1, I have not been you favorite word ever (disengenious).
#2, what say I now...I say the market is still 12 to 18 months away in any significant manner. I don't see Wave reaching breakeven until 2nd 1/4 of 2007 at the earliest (a full year later than SKS's prediction). I see at least 4 more financings.
#3, what I say for the future...if Wave can secure those financings, I see Wave succeeding unless a big gorilla can produce a similar product and push Wave right out of the market. The better mouse trap doesn't always win. I see myself making a ton of money playing this thing if it does make it. The history of this stock is fairly easy for me call at this point.
BTW, it's about to go back into the mid 60's withput an announcement, just so you know.
CPA
oh yeah, I'm out of posts for today, so, see you in the morning.
Free attackes on me for the rest of the day, yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!
weby, how about this...if its pulled off its because of the tech, not management.
1 more thing snackman, SKS and Peter can post, they have in the past, so there goes that theory.
orda,
Another thing, Wave has been in "stealth" mode for 8 years. Why can't another company be in the same "stealth" mode? Or have the longs reserved this honerable position just for Wave?
CPA
awk,
Its sad that you can't even agree to have a civil conversation. You must have so much hate built up for me for being correct about where the stock was going for the last 4 years that you can't stand it.
Well, to the rest of the board, all I can say was that I tried to keep it civil. I will still try, although I will defend myself when attacked.
Watch, I'll even be attacked for posting this. some just can't stand to be civil.
CPA
mark1,
Thank you!!!
CPA
zen,
Answer me this...Why are the likes of you, snackman, awk and the likes so afraid of me? If you aren't, why do you devote so much time attacking me and calling me names. You rarely post to me in a question and answer format. You almost always come out with guns blazing and call me names and basically call me stupid.
If I'm that ignorant, the people who read my posts will figure that out for themselves, don't you think? Or, are all people as stupid as me?
Why don't we try this....lets post to each other from now on in a question and answer format without stooping to name calling and calling the other an idiot? What do you say?
I think the rest of the board would appreciate that alot more.
CPA
goin fishn,
While I agree that the govt. deal looks very promising, I'm still not convinced (been burned too many times). That is why I'll take the approach of seeing what hits the bottom line.
I too hope we both make a bundle off Wave.
As for zen (see later post) zen is zen, and if he thinks I'm STUPID, so be it. We are all entitled to our opinions.
CPA
howard,
I was using the low end provided by SKS. He has used higher numbers also in his "range". When I listen to SKS, I become focused on the low end as to try and not be to disappointed.
But, you are right, I should have been more fair.
CPA
Snackman,
Even at .50 per chip, you aren't going to get rich, are you!!!
LOL
CPA
Best comedy show for free one can get!!!
Snackman,
You and I will never see SKS the same way. You and I have both met the man, we have different opinions. To each their own.
However, I live near him, I know people who KNOW him both on a professional and a personal level. Based on that, I'll stick to my opinion.
What do you base your opinion of SKS on? Your own opinion from meeting him? If that is it, I had better change my opinion in a hurry!!! His PROVEN accomplishments? I'm flipping my opinion as we speak!!!
CPA
How about asking the BOD to change things at the top.
CPA
Ramsey,
Dell is dicensing the 10 cent per chip software, not the software at $20-$30 per seat.
We won't get rich off the 10 cent software.
CPA
They should be critizied for statements like "we'll be break even sometime in 2004" (or something close to that). They knew then that that was not going to happen. The statement was made in 2003. By your own account, the market wasn't even close to being devoloped.
Either they lied, or made a HUGE mistake. Take that with all the other business models they rolled out, goals thay said they would obtain and missed, and you at least have a management team that can't see the marketplace.
So, why sould you believe them now? You believed them then and they were wrong. Why can't they be wrong now? And please, don't tell me about gorillas. EDS was a gorilla, Compaq was a gorilla, etc....
For all we know, by the time the market REALLY develops, one of the gorillas will roll out a far superior product. You DON'T know that Wave is light years ahead. Maybe a gorilla is purposly holding out on a roll out until the market is ready because they don't want a company like Wave that could adjust to be able to adjust quick enough.
None of us know and that is a fact!!! To proclaim otherwise is ignorance, end of story.
CPA
micro,
No offense taken.
Have a great day.
CPA
micro,
Microsoft was started in the late 70's I think. I want to say 1978.
The difference is, they had sales in their first year and were considered VERY successful by 1985. They grew at an enormous rate each and every year.
CPA
micro,
Thanks for your thoughts.
I realized as I wrote to rick that it was going to look like I was after something, I was not. That is why I thanked him in advance for his response. The reason I asked him is because he was questioning someone else's expectations. So, I was curious what his were.
I now move in and out of the stock, because, from a long term perspective, the company has not met me expectations.
I agree with what you said in your post. As I've always said, the technology is great, its the management that I think stinks. I would like to see Lark take over at the head and bring in some new middle management. I would also like to see most of the BOD replaced with people who will hold managements feet to the fire.
The bonuses that have been paid out with no revenue to back them up is unheard of in most of the real business world. For them to continue for 10 years is riduculous.
So, there is my alternative. People may not like it, but I think it is better than the current situation.
As for SKS, I would make him Chief Tech. Officer. He understands the technology, the need for the product, but he can't sell of manage people (what I hear from Wave employees and ex-employees) for S....
CPA
micro59,
If you are refering to me, I have not blamed anyone other than myself for my losses.
I do however blame others for not telling the truth about where the company really stood. I have been lied to in person by SKS at a shareholders meeting in 1998. He did it in front of other people. I was told point blank that by the end 0f 1999 they would have 3 million meters in the market. He made it sound like they had orders.
Sorry if call that whining, I call it being lied to.
CPA
Fair enough. Thanks for your honesty.
CPA
I know the high end Optiplex models have them. I own 3 of them.
CPA
rick5,
Thank you for your answer.
One more question, if you don't mind. What % appreciation do you expect for the stock over the next 12 months.
CPA
rick5,
If you don't mind me asking, what are your expectations and what do you perceive to be the reality of the situation?
Thanks in advance,
CPA
rachelelise,
You wrote... "The company has also grown up quite a bit over the years and recognizes that execution is the key to success - not just ideas."
While they have shown the first signs of this, it has yet to be proven enough to say the culture has changed, IMHO.
I'm starting to get excite, but, still remain very cautious.
CPA
unixguy,
Please see post # 108758.
CPA
So, does anyone have an opinion on e-diets? It has had a 100% run-up in the last 4 weeks. Quite nice!
Buy, sell or hold?
CPA
awk,
Likewise, I'm sure.
CPA
actually, that is a lie, I do understand you, that is what scares me.
24601,
One more thing...I've ALWAYS maintained that if Wave succeeds it will be despite managment. I've ALWAYS believed in the tech. I have not flip-flopped on my stance. Look back on my posts, I think you will find some consistancy.
