**OT** Hey Phill I've seen you shooting craps in Vegas. Aren't you always on the Don't Pass line? (g)
Moon
Very little interest in the biotechs today and that's okay because they have to digest some incredible gains.
"Is Softie around ??? LOL"
He is currently licking his wounds. The only problem would be if he turned bullish I'd know this market is doomed. He's the ultimate permabear and probably never will change.
Moon
here goes nuh nuh nuh NANO. (g)
Nano up on above average volume looks like move may happen this AM.
In @14.51 for move above 15 (fingers crossed of course)
Moon
NANO is up this am on no news, light volume so far
Bruce,
I must admit I thought you may have jumped the gun this morning when it was trading at 11.70's but that was not the case. Got into myself in the high 12's . I've got a slew of biotechs and when I sold gern a while ago I took it off my screen and that was dumb. Still did well with it today so I can't complain.
Good Trading & Congrats.
Moon
Bear,
Thanks for the heads up on Gern just sold half at 15. I owe you.
Moon
Gern running on all cylinders now. I have some for sale at 15 and just might get it. I have no idea how far this could go but with shorts helping it possibly 15 will be cheap.
Moon
MH,
I didn't listen but can only speculate that some selling was a result of the presentation. Sometimes this can provide a buying opportunity so time will tell. You know how dangerous these presentations can be and cris was cranked up for perhaps more than was there.
Moon
MH,
Hope all goes well with your Mom.
If you get time check cris cause it looks like it wants to move up today.
Moon
Out of dndn with .70 cents. afraid to stay any longer in that.
On another note I will accept the Chairmanship of the NYSE if asked. So if you no longer see me posting here you know where I am. Smaller salary than Grasso will not be a problem for me.(g)
In edit checkout eag for hot penny.
Moon
Was too busy to even see that wavx action. Got into nano earlier when it sold off some then watched it to the close for a .63 cent profit. I'm not proud I'll take whatever they give me. (g)
Was hoping dndn would close over 10.50 but it needed a push and MH sold some today so that had to hurt it. (g)
Have a good one off to the Outback for dinner.
Moon
Yes I have some wavx. Actually I own some of everything spoken about here almost . (g)
I can't believe how easy that MU move was telegraphed today. Wish they were all that easy. Was just like watching the quarterbacks eyes bringing back my football days. Without the physical contact of course. (g)
In edit wavx just had 100,000 share block go off at the ask. That's still $325,000 which ain't small potatoes.
Moon
That's what he said 50% to 60% but I'm not sure of which product he was referring to.
Moon
MU showing some moxie this AM. it's possibly ready to make a substantial move. Larger block buyers earlier this AM was my signal to lock in some. Just don't know how far they can run it.
Wavx coming back.
Zeev,
Don't know if this is your cup of tea but DNDN is ramping .
Moon
Nvec is presenting today the the Wall Street Analyst Forum.
Moon
JCOM cranking and nvec coming back. Oh my.
MH,
DNDN at 10. making my day.
Hope you didn't think I was calling you foolish for shorting nvec. I just think it was an extremely risky short but congrats anyway.
Moon
agree thatb nvec is a great story and "if" it's for real then pe doesn't figure at all. I still say they will have to split it and get more stock available to stop some of this volatility. Some talk of shorting here but I doubt even if one was gutsy enough to try there would be no stock available to borrow which is probably a good thing right now.
Moon
MH,
Back to your short remarks on nvec. Of course I would guess you aren't that foolish to short it, but it's trading up at 45 premarket just in case you really meant it. (g)
wish I had more than 2700 shrs of dndn but sold some on last bounce.
Moon
cash2go,
Hope you closed your dndn short you made Friday. DNDN looks like an attempt at $10 today. Trading up over $1.00 premarket.
Good Luck,
Moon
George,
I don't read IBD anymore but I used to subscribe to it. So did they have an article on Nvec?
In edit I just checked Island and the last price was $44.88.
Very strong AH so I would guess tomorrow will rock some more.
Moon
MH,
It could sell at 45 AH so watch it and maybe you could get a premium price.
Too scary for me to even think about shorting.
Well I would have had a crappy day if it wasn't for nvec.
My cbst sold off and I may have to double it.
Moon
Zeev,
Had a day order to sell more NVEC @ 43.99. Came home to find it gone. Now the big question is what to do with the remainder. What a wild ride this stock is , but I'm still bullish with the miniscule float.
Moon
looks like nvec could make arun on 43.50. still watching this like a hawk.
Moon
MH,
Bought CBST at 13.46. Doctor friend of mine has been high on this stock for sometime now. Just couldn't resist it after the discount from the early burst this AM.
Moon
Sold 25% of my NVEC @ $41.50 purchased @ $34.05. Now looking at prices a buck higher but my 41-42 target easily achieved today. Now where it ends up today is the question?
Moon
Zeev,
Very little NVEC stock available so 40's has to happen IMHO.
Looks like 41-42 possible today. Problem is you have to watch it like a hawk.
Moon
Cash2go,
Biotech Seminars are held all over the world with companies presenting their studies and active ongoing research programs. One of the main reasons they do this is to inform their investors ( mostly investment firms , mutual funds etc. ) of what's going on. A Doctor friend of mine attends these seminars for a mutual fund company and reports his findings to them for investment purposes.
You mentioned DNDN and that company was just involved in a seminar I believe in the UK last week. These meetings cause reports to pop up in the media so it's not a case of pump and dump but information arising from the meetings. When the analysts and large investment companies get this info they have to publicly announce it as well.
Many biotechs will wait forever for the ultimate payoff and never get it and just how do they survive? By placing stock (selling it) with investors since they have no other source of revenue at the present.
So basically I think you are way off if you think these are pump and dump companies. Good luck with your short.

"Can you name any single brand of TV that is manufactured in the US? "
Zenith was a particulary rotten takeover and bankrupcy which screwed the shareholders without the help of our government. LG Electronics a Korean company is the owner of Zenith just so you know where the bottom line ends up.
SI has had miles of talk on this subject and I copied some of it for anyone with interest why and where one of our great TV manufacturers ended up. This post was by Robert Utne and was taken from S.I. and there was a large article in Forbes in the beginning of this year. In any case there is much bitterness still over the takeover of Zenith.
"I met John Koo in Delaware Bankruptcy Court. He is sharp, intelligent and has demonstrated a keen killer instinct to go for the jugular using hired hands. The Koos take no prisoners and are not above bribes including one for $100,000 to the Bush Presidential Library in Houston.
Zenith never had a chance once Koo zeroed in. Unfortunately, there were very few "Bob Utnes" who gave a damn. We conducted a thorough inverstigation of the fraud instigated by Jon Koo against Zenith and submitted our findings to the SEC, DOJ, FTC, White House, numerous elected officials and the Illinois Attorney General. Only the SEC partially responded by delaying the bankruptcy by more than one year. "
"I love BBQ short ribs
mmmm. now you make me hungry for a good korean bbq restaurant. the *best* short ribs "
What animal does the short rib come from? (g)
Zeev,
I think (hope) NVEC moves well into the 40's next week. There is very little stock for sale so it's suicide to short if you could even borrow shares.
They will have to split this stock very soon and get a decent float out there and until then it's going to be a bouncing ball.
My pickup was loaded for today's move.
Moon
Jim,
Out of Csco for a tidy $500 plus trade this afternoon. Actually it wasn't very difficult but I can't be too reckless after some of these moves. I think your short may be okay but just don't overplay it.
Moon
"Steve Saville's preferred scenario is looking better all the time. "
George do you have to pay for that?
Jim,
Just looking for a small profit on a 2:22 little comeback. Nothing big so I can hold it if I'm wrong.

NVE Corp. (NasdaqSC:NVEC - News) is so small, its press releases list Chief Executive Daniel Baker as the contact person. And, yes, he answers the phone himself.
If his 63-person firm seems tiny, the technology it works on is even smaller; some circuitry is just a few atoms wide.
But Baker sees big prospects for his firm. So do others. The company's stock price rose from less than 6 in May to 45 on Sept. 2, and now trades near 33.
NVE is helping bring to market magnetic RAM, a new type of memory chip that combines the speed of RAM (random access memory) found in most PCs and the permanence of hard drive storage. Some say MRAMs could replace the $50 billion PC memory business, the $13 billion flash memory market and maybe even take a chunk out of the $30 billion hard-drive market.
"This could be as important as the development of computer memory itself," said Baker, a 45-year-old University of Minnesota Ph.D.
NVEC got the OK to trade on Nasdaq's SmallCap market in January. It has only 4 million shares outstanding, but its trading volume has been more than triple its previous daily average since late August, boosted by big sales by major shareholders James Daughton and Cypress Semiconductor Corp. Daughton, the company founder and chief technical officer, sold half his shares to cut his stake to 5.4%.
This stock is my prime split candidate.
