Maybe I'm mistaken, but it seems to me that IDCC rang the opening bell years ago when Howard Goldberg was CEO.
Thanks for the reminder. I was number 9148 to sign. Btw, the Pandora pop up ads have stopped.....thanks IHUB.
My base cost is $17. I'll hold a while longer. Sorry you bought and sold at the wrong time. Btw, thought you were out of here, but yet here you are. Imagine that!
Thanks Data. Yep, I found the exact same pop up that keeps showing up on my IPad in post #176735. Apparently Linda from admin is working on the problem. Looks like this.
Pandora Pop-up
Ad Block Plus Hope this helps, it sure helped my IMac.
Jim, yes I just did the test and its enabled.
It doesn't happen on my IMac, just the IPad. Have you tried the ABP adblock app on your IMac? This app is not available for early IPads AFAIK.
Btw, did the pop ups just start in the last couple days?
Just curious if anyone else has noticed a recent bombardment of pop-up ads on Ihub while using their IPad? They pop up across the bottom of the page. And yes, I downloaded the Adblock app. Tia
Way to go uncle Billy. Now, if only IEEE takes notice.
Seems we are being dragged through the mud again today....ouch!
Thanks Data. Your opinion is highly regarded here. Even though I disagree, I see your point. Going forward might help IDCC's bottom now, but might cause drastic implications down the road. JMO
Data, I realize that this is just an opinion, but it seems to me that if NOK skates on the last 8 years of infringing it could trigger similar problems with other potential licensees. Wouldn't it be a good precedence to get paid for previous years too?
Jeff, didn't you say SI would be out after the bell today? tia
Yes, it appears Your Honor isn't falling for the smoke and mirrors defense. OooRah.
Good on ya Mickey. I hope the best for you and your new bride. Let's hope Billy and the boys get the ball rolling.
I will admit IDCC dominates my portfolio, but we do own a few others. IMO, it doesn't hurt to diversify.
Mickey, not a bad run on average volume. Just thinking out loud...along with IDCC we own some FB and FB averages about 25,000,000 shares traded everyday. Wouldn't it be nice to see IDCC with volume like that on a UP day?
Yep, as LaRanger use to say.....fifty-four-oreeno!!!
Sail, maybe IDCC should approach our infringers like this.
Where's My Money
LOL, they also use the green lizard. I insure both my motorcycles with them. Dzr, maybe you should get out more. J/K
Thanks OldDog, I guess all we can do is wait and see while keeping our fingers and toes crossed. In the meantime we have arbitrations that should be resolved soon.
OldDog, not to put you in the hot seat, but what is your opinion on recent events? It's obvious your opinion is highly regarded here. I'll understand if you don't respond. Tia
Exactly Dzr. I'm hoping Haewai Arbitration will be decided soon. I'm surprised we haven't heard something yet.
I wonder about that too. You can bet the "legal fees" meter has been running along time.
David, you'll never know how much I hope you're right.
Mickey, I've owned this stock for more than 15 years because I think Nokia and others have infringed our IP. BUT, it doesn't matter what I think. What matters is what the judge and or jury thinks. Like I said earlier, if I understand OldDogs post, it appears the SA is leaving a back door open for claims construction.
Well, the market liked the news. Hence the rise in price.
Mickey, just a passing thought. Did you read Olddogs post? Sounds like they are leaving the back door open for claims construction. At least that's how I understand it. It's not over yet. JMO
I thought you moved on.....a little sellers remorse, eh?
True dat.....green beer and green arrows for IDCC.....what a great combination.
So.....basically we're waiting for 2 arbitrations and a ruling for NOK/MSFT. Damn, if I don't mind saying myself....I'm getting more impatient by the day. Jmo
Btw, why doesn't one of the big boys put us out of our misery and take us out?
Shareholders meeting on 6-10-15.
Congrats to you Mickey. I wish you and your bride many, many more happy and blissful days. And may IDCC's success be part of your happiness.
Maybe it's just me but I think it's time to poop or get off the pot. I've been in this stock for 14 years ( not as long as many here) and is time to get paid our due. We've been involved in lawsuit after lawsuit and it's time for IDCC after 40+ plus years to collect what they're due. If they have the goods, let's see some shareholders benefit. What about the "engine & transmission" or the calculator with many zeros? Huh?
Sons, any good news?
Mickey, IMO this nothing but a chess match and it appears that NOK/MSFT is running out of moves. They already admitted they owe.....they Jist don't agree with IDCC's fees. Again, JMO.
The only reason an extension should be granted is if there is sincere license negotiations taking place or if MSFT is working out details of a buyout. Otherwise, no delay. JMO
So Hock, are you leaning towards a buy-out?
Good point David. Times are much different for IDCC now. Seems many more irons in the fire....and ready to come out. JMO
Good question....I was wondering same.
