how is it, that at 'lunch time', shit just stops trading? With the thousands of traders, how can it be that people just get up and go eat at noon?
this has to be an example of how much control rests in the hands of a few.
Have any of the members here saavy with these kinds of reports been able to identify any interesting findings, good or bad? Did anything substantial or significant change?
TIA
Investor day - sounds kind of like preaching to the choir?
i avgd in a little more yesterday. hope your guys are right!
where will NEP most like post their news? Anybody have some RSS feeds they have turned up a little extra today?
LTUS - i have avg into this around 1.50 owning it since 2007. sigh.
anybody got that warm and fuzzy feeling about this one yet? Any rally gets muzzled quick.
i live right next to a 'mother ship', a nick name we coined to a massive chevron refinery, which at night is lit up like a space station, and the tangle of pipes from that thing is absolutely mesmerizing.
i have total appreciation for the engineering of drilling and refining oil, which i guess translates into a complex business plan?
Does this rule apply if your just selling teddy bears? That is, does the length of an audit rely on the number of moving parts or do all companies get trapped filling out their forms wrong?
thanks.
"...forensic accounting ..."
wow, now there is something i have never heard of.
if generating earnings is THAT complex, which evidently can require 4 people full time at $2,000/hr to decipher, then how are we to believe any numbers reported? I guess that is the lure of a CFO to cook the books given all these 'tricks', which means he has be that much more clever to hide his steps to outwit 4 'professionals'??
Sorry to be such a nudge, but we are just pumping oil here.
"...$150 per hour * 8 hours x 4 people x 20 days per month x 4 months..."
at those rates and man-power i could...(fill in the blank). I now feel sorry for all the 'lawyer' jokes i've made.
that's what these people get paid?? even approximately?? its f'n accounting for craps sake - no analysis, no interpretation, no integration with other science.
why do they need so much time?
then he met the women who has to wear high-heels all day! Oh the savagery!
is it normal for a analyst conference to follow analyst recommendations?
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/replies.aspx?msg=50616849
On May 26 joenatural said it would take 1.5 - 2.5 weeks for the lawsuit to become public. We are on week 4, and given his perceived determination last month to proceed with a lawsuit, it has been a long time.
"...These institutions are not a bunch of fools, they know good stocks when they see them. It should be deeply concerning to anyone long on this stock that there has not been any analyst coverage yet and that institutional interest has been basically non-existent..."
That is the million dollar question. But you all seem like a pretty savvy group, so what could you have missed that the analysts haven't? I FIRMLY believe, that EVERY public company (OTC and PINK) with stocks for purchase have been reviewed thoroughly by some team, in some panic room in the bowels of NYC or wherever - nothing slips by.
Could IHUB be the pinnacle of retail investors, such that they played up that guy Fernando so he wouldn't sell or tell us to, then slowly take our money...oh i luv a conspiracy!
I only have have about %30 of my money left - 70% gone in the last year. whew. oh well. Go CCME!! (and NEP, LTUS, BSPM, BQI, SNEN, JADA - all darlings on this board) boy did i get swooped, but i haven't sold yet. hahahaha.
"...Putting their cash to work in responsible ways. Right now the market doesn't appear to believe their guidance, so I was encouraged by Fernando's interview that they said the second half of the year is when a lot more deals would be done. I'm a little disappointed that they might not hit 30k buses, but I like the potential of the sky-mall catalog and expansion into rail..."
I think this is an important statement, but only the super experts can time this event. That is, if you wait for a PR or guidance or some company event, your usually too late, long or short.
I would love to hear peoples time frame for acquisitions, new buses etc. For example, if new buses don't come online by a certain date, then guidance cant be reached, etc.
PS - to the guy thats all bummed on his share price; im long at 13.05! LOL
It seems the latest chatter is about CCME getting a legitimate analyst review, and i have some basic questions i like to ask if that's OK.
1. does CCME approach an analyst for review, or do the analysts initiate the meeting?
2. do analysts need permission to review a company or to publish a review?
3. Do analysts publish their reviews independently or does CCME get to publish the findings in there preferred PR?
4. Do insiders get to read the reviews before being published?
Thanks!
"...Seriously, all this plant crap in China isn't going to fly much longer IMO..."
i hate it when the truth hurts. herbal remedies for hepatitis. gimme a break. another one bites the dust.
Im listening, Pappy, but it sure does seem like your preaching to an empty set of pews!!
I know in the past you have followed certain stocks intensely (eg Three Amigos, etc), and openly sold them if they did not meet your expectations, which you usually describe clearly up front.
For example, with BPSM you saw (or didnt see) some business aspect that caused you to sell (which you were right, at least for now) as it didnt meet your criteria (details arent imporant here).
WKBT, are you waiting for a PR or something else to clue you in if the they are to meet earnings (or your criteria), or are you waiting for an official earnings report?
always enjoy your posts,
Foggy
Hi Max,
Why would think the mine would close?
Thanks
joe says 4million left?
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=50586135
i just saw 100 shares go through? afterhours? glitch? sigh.
Joe,
Are you partner in a legal firm, or a solo attorney? I really dont understand the legal world at all (but i apprecieate your enthusiasm - 'lets get it on!') so gotta ask some 101 questions here:
1. is SIAF suing YOU, or your firm?
2. who are you representing? who are the plaintiffs?
2a. if you are representing someone, are you billing them?
3. how soon will the details (ie public dox) be available?
4. how much do you plan on spending/winning?
good luck (i think?)
which actually brings up a good point - 'who the hell am i?'
why should a company care that i have purchased 5100 shares of their company, when they know damn well, if the share price rises 10% im out! in fact, that describes 99% of message board readers: take the money and run, but every so often you get a few people here that truly do all the hard work and find the inconsistencies we are looking for; cuz the SEC aint doing nothing.
These message boards are becoming quite meaningless, at worst very destructive, in that it is being used to tear down and tear apart people and companies with every word being carefully scrutinized.
i guess i believe (hope, pray, sacrifice) that SIAF isn't a scam, due largely that joenatural doesn't believe so, as he has said recently in a few posts, he just doesn't like management. So with that understanding, these current miscues are just annoyances (creating a buying opportunity, hmmm), but to me the real problem is the guy who is selling constantly. feels like this could go on for awhile, particlarly with a lawsuit on top of it. oh well, at least i have NEP to cuddle up to tonight. sigh.
Attempts to change the slamfest topic won't work
even if this latest mess is attributed to lousy management (and joenatural doesn't sue!) isn't our bigger problem the big dump right now?
can someone remind me (perhaps with a link) how many shares are being dumped, that is, how many shares does Belmont have, assuming they are the dumpers? ive read from 2-10million.
ive got 5100 shares at about 1.20. ouch.
Thanks Joe for all your hard work on this. You are doing the right thing and i hope it helps somehow, somewhere. If this guy Chad knew about SIAF being fraudulent, and he is an American citizen, then you need to lynch him publicly so he doesn't do this again, and more importantly, tag him somehow so he doesn't ever re-appear again.
Sadly, this isn't my first lawsuit w a shitty Chinese investment (SNEN is my most recent), but i have never participated as the dollar amount always seem stupid low - fractions of a penny on the dollar.
Thanks for your DD - its appreciated!

"...Is there some plan yet unannouced to sell some of his shares to broaden ownership in order to qualify for listing?..."
hmmm...could you explain that thought a little further?
tia
oh yeah, but i dont know why! thot maybe this was going to be a good daytrade, but f'd up the entry pt and didnt set any stops.
so do we have 67% or a 100% chance they will report monday?
what the f!
"...Thus I conclude that we have a 33% chance of the 10K coming out on Friday and 66% on Monday..."
that sentence is mathematically wrong. if you are stating that there only TWO possible outcomes, the odds are 50/50.
i like your DD, but something is wrong with your math, i think?
you have researched and concluded that JADA will either report on either Friday or Monday. There are only 2 options, by your calculations, so its 50/50.
Then again, you have a favorite, Monday, so its like placing odds on a horse bet but 'winnings' is different than the outcome. one horse HAS to win!
anyways, i get your point.
i generally have none, and apologize if i misled anybody. i do not work in that field.
i just prefer peer-review science vs OTC pr
sigh. $3 printed.
hotmail? now that's funny.
gotta a starter position at 3.75

Daily Commentary
Our system posted a HOLD today. The previous BUY recommendation was issued on 04.29.2010 (6) days ago, when the stock price was 1.1300. Since then SIAF has fallen -14.16% .
A Warning is in order! The previous BUY signal failed. Downward momentum now reached to intolerable levels.
You can either wait for a new bullish alert or sell the stock immediately. It is up to you. We owe you an apology.
"...SIAF wow what garbage. This could be another scam in the making...shaking my head here..."
no offense to Bakerman_06, but reading this comment, and the chance that is is REAL, just nails into me once again, message boards are lousy places to do DD.
99% of the posters on these boards don't know sh8t, but throw around numbers and accounting jargon like their ivy league accts.
the tone on this board not but 2 weeks ago, was SLICED-BREAD, joenatural starts smelling fungus, and is railed a socialist, so the PPS can stall a few more days.
ill keep my 5100 shares ($1.20) and toss that bag of crap onto my LTUS pos bag of crap that was supposed to cure the world 2 years ago.
any 'enzyme' that works in the cold. give me a break.
