Many bank stocks were better buys recently, like the last time the interest rates were raised...Might as well talk about the bank customer a little this weekend...Good banks require the customer to basically pass a financial strip search before they can have a debit card or checking account...Some of the recent news coming out is suggesting that they will allow those same valuable customers, overdrafts on their debit cards...For a mere $30. or so, per transaction, the customer doesn't have to be needlessly embarressed while trying to make a purchase, when the funds might be a little shy of the tally needed...Kinda hard to imagine the average person out there spending an extra $10. or more on fuel for the little family wagon, isn't it?...But the friendly bank will help you get thru the week without any added embarressment...Mighty nice...LJ
Len, do you have any thoughts an ADVC?...Or do you think it is qualified for discussion on this board?...LJ
EAG...need a strong close...

Looking like Danson the terminator is putting up his companies shields at ADVC...filing on PMIC out tonight...shucks...
UFO's have video-cam deflector shields...Geeze, thought most folks knew that...lol
T-Ball ought to be an olympic sport...yep

EAG...time to reverse, perhaps?...
A worthless pos is hard to pass on...traded many BK's before it came to my attention that the shareholders lose it all...well about 99% of the time...just came to my attention tonight that the pension funds in larger companies are not safe...actually thought that the retirees who helped build companies were protected first...that was a shocker to me...LJ
The liquidity in the penny micro-caps looks mighty slim from the watch list that I have been rotating over the past few weeks...Saw about 60 to 70% no volume companies out of about 20 during the first 30 minutes on Tuesday AM...The first hour only added 1 or 2 more with volume...There have to be some folks around here who have seen weak markets in the pennies before...What are the big signs for caution or warning ahead?...Any thing in particular come to mind from past experience?...If you think this post is too negative, then you do not share my dislike for losing money...TIA...LJ
Naked shorters running amonk in my picks...
CALI...EZ has already posted the new s-8...
That chart for tnog looks like it has support around .006 if it does break the channel...it is just one chart in thousands upon thousands...there are a lot of folks who like seeing oil holding the 48 to 50 per barrel level, as well...just do not believe that they are the majority though...big numbers from the company could lend support to the chart, but do the fundamentals still favor the group as a whole?...Tom is not the only who questions the price move in this company or the trend as a whole...Some of us folks are kinda used to seeing auto companies and airlines in the US plodding along and surviving...So, please don't consider this a personal attack on your abilities...JMO...LJ
EAG...the magic of a penny sure can restore a little hope...LJ
ut...from oversold...
U better have the force with U to figure out what I like this week...The Capt. has been hell-bent on promoting the over-estimated power of the darkside all weekend, IMO...U folks step right up and getcha some...Watch for the gappers on Monday AM...Gonna be some big winners...LJ

Rigs out in the oceans are putting down up to 5 miles of pipe before getting to the ocean bottom...Folks working 24/7 some where all the time in the oil drilling business are most often as forgotten about as soldiers on the frontlines of harmsway...kinda drifting from your message there but the connection is important...LJ
Koz, last fall, prior to the election, it looked like the time for no rate rise...but still they came...Once a course is set, they usually work their plan...Don't expect a surprise,,,yet...imo...LJ
Len, isn't a decent run at testing a double-top on the Dow quite likely before a serious retreat occurs?...The 10800 to 10900 level is not far out of reach with just 4 big movers...IBM, Exxon, Wal-Mart, and Microsoft all have their own merits for leadership...A lot of focus is on China and well-deserved...2 articles that I read last week shared a new common thread...The first article was on their demand for raw metals to be used for manufacturing steel...It has been a strong demand...It also stated that they are exporting close to 30% of that steel production now...The second article was on their demand for oil to use and refine into gasoline...Here again, they are now exporting sometimes up to 30% per month of the gas refined...These were the figures from articles read so the accuracy is never 100% but each were from major business news publishers...My point in reviewing these only leads to questions...Is China now becoming a Big middleman?...With a quick slowdown in some large economies due to higher fuel costs, could they not get caught on the high end as the middle-man?...Didn't think folks had enough to muddle over tonight...GL...LJ
May-Day...May-Day...And as the fog slowwly rolled into Sub-Land, the erie moans of bagholders omit their own little spin...Me' little voice could barely be heard over the moans, with it's gentle hummm...What you begin in April is only for a longer term horizon to scan...But you never know how early in May that others may ponder for a look at their scan...Silly little voice....Click..
Nice clear pic, Capt...No fog...lol
It just appears that the big bubble has been in oil prices...Just don't recall major shortages anywhere...Demand rose some but no where near the percentage of the increase in oil per barrel...Recessionary pressures in the economy(a business slowdown) probably began in early February...It now appears this slowdown has intensified since mid-March...Higher gas prices have taken an excessive toll on folks spendable income...Other growth countries which had been increasing the demand on metal commodities are also linked to this spendable income via their export sale dependance on the US consumer as well as other countries who have also felt the strain of higher gas prices...The housing market has been in a recovery stage for several years and many older homes have been replaced due to the benefits of lower interest rates...Exchanging and upgrading home ownership have favorable tax benefits, which are well deserved...This current slowdown may cool some excesses in the housing market...But, the housing market growth may well be the catalyst to get the economy through a tough, but hopefully short period ahead...Rational family ownership of homes should not be viewed the same as the recent runup in oil and gasoline...JMO...LJ
Yep, Ohiotom reminds me of some of the rednecks that I've been hearing complaining about the high gas prices...Putting a crimp in the ole daily beer allowance for sure...More sophisticated folks know the higher prices are for a good cause...Right???
where did GNET come from this afternoon on the ask side?...not a pleasant site...
EAG...Need .28 or higher at the close Friday for bullish weekly accumulation to be further confirmed...Friday, 04-22 closing price was at .27 and above the previous Friday, 04-15 closing price of .23...A rally tomorrow here doesn't even look likely after the last few days of trading...Gonna be interesting...GL...LJ
