Is Skip still there? If so, I can put in a good word for you.
Dino
If you're referring to me, you're wrong. Obviously, I'm still here.
No leaks from the liner and Paul isn't sick. I'm expecting a PR soon announcing the payoff of the commercial loans in CASH.
Dino
That's okay. Zeros mean "nothing" anyway.
I used to work on government projects.
Dino
Sorry, saildone. You slipped a decimal point. Try $3-400,000.
There does seem to be a lot of momentum trading, however.
Dino
Well, this is a leap year. Do you mean we should have noted his birthday yesterday? I always used the same date for mine. His birthday was May 1 last year and the year before. Look up the old posts if you don't believe me.
Dino
Why do you keep claiming that PT is sick? He's healthier than my horse!
Dino
"Where are the technical reports, the 3-Modeling, the full drilling results?"
None of those items is required in order to mine gold profitably. GORO, among others, is proof of that. They are nice to have, and advisable to create when time and money allow. Eventually, they will save time and money, but only in the expansion of the mine. If the field is rich enough, only a quick check is really necessary before hauling on the corporate bootstraps. It can be done, and Mexus is proving it.
You just need the patience of that guy from Apple.
Dino
"Dino's statement that he is in Mexus primarily because of the integrity of everyone involved is not a strategy rooted in fact."
I made no such statement. I think you have me confusticated with RealtorWSM.
Dino
I noticed, Miz Ellie.
I'm going to be tied up fro the next 4 days. Just think, I get to spend 8-10 hours a day in video conferences. Whoopee! If I get time, I'll respond to his post, but probably not before Friday.
Dino
What due diligence did you perform in order to form your opinion of the company?
You have claimed PT has been arrested or is sick, has been kicked off the site, etc., with nothing to back up your statements. When any of your assertions are challenged, you ignore the request for additional information and change the topic.
"obviously getting older does not make some people the wiser"
I agree. You have to keep your mind active. That's why, even though I also retired at 49, I still do some consulting work to keep up with current business practices. What are you doing? Diving?
Dino
I didn't bring one with me, but there was an independent geologist on site when I arrived. I only saw him the first day I was there.
You realize, of course, that you are not the only person on this board who has experience in investing. I've been buying and selling stock for well over 50 years. I've been involved in angel investing and private placements for more than 35.
Unlike you, I have met - in person - the principal people involved in the operation of Mexus Gold US. I have visited two of the mining properties in Mexico and the office in California. I have even corresponded with their accountant.
Oh yeah, I brought back an ore sample and have also seen the results of an assay obtained by another investor who visited the site independently.
How thorough has your investigation been? I would appreciate a thoughtful reply.
Dino
Check my past posts and you will discover that I have never predicted the share price would rise. In fact, I don't recall predicting a drop, either.
As for whether they've found gold, yes, I've said that. I've also been to the mine and seen the leaching operation in person. I watched the laboratory test of the solution. I watched the portable Merrill-Crowe precipitating the gold from the pregnant solution. I've also seen the dore produced as the end product.
Dino
Isn't this the third year you've been predicting this?
You're persistent, but inaccurate. You must be an economist. They've predicted 15 of the last two recessions.
Dino
As I recall, you can accept up to 35 Non-accredited investors, also.
That's how I got accepted for my first private placement.
Dino
Downward? Over the long term, yes, but Webster's says a nosedive is "a sudden extreme drop." Two years is not what I would call "sudden". Also a spiral is a one-way movement, hardly the ups and downs of Mexus' stock price.
Dino
He hasn't been sick.
Dino
Make sure it's at least 31 days since your last sale. Don't want to lose the write offs with a wash sale.
Dino
Thought I saw a white Bronco in the parking lot.
Dino
They're not talking while the flavor lasts.
Dino
PT's in the hospital? Don't think so. He was at Costco last night.
Dino
Someone has a bid in for 50K @ $0.045.
Dino
Do you recall how long it took for mining companies to adopt cyanide leaching/Merrill-Crowe processing? Or again to activated carbon, electrowinning?
Any new technique, even a major improvement to an old one, is usually adopted very slowly at first. Mining companies have a MAJOR capital investment in the "current" method, whatever it is. That makes them resist change, even if it kills them. A good example of that, even though it isn't mining, just capital intensive, is Ma Bell. It was POTS or nothing...until MCI, et al, ate their lunch.
Dino
There is no PR because there's no point in announcing
"Mexus Gold US is continuing to follow the laws and regulations pertaining to mining in the State of Sonora, Mexico."
That would just be a waste of corporate funds and investors' time.
Dino
What Monday PR? I can't find one. You must have inside information!
Dino
Aah, then obviously, you do believe that Mexus is a real mining company, producing gold. If there were no production, or no mine for that matter, there'd be no need for disclosing anything, would there?
Can't have it both ways.
Dino

Dino
A little justification for my position? Silver is down 1.5% for May delivery. Spot is only off 2 cents or .12%. It doesn't look like the demand is there.
Gold, on the other hand is pushing $1700. It's price depends on fear, not industry.
Dino
Yes, production is greatly reduced, but with manufacturing shut down in large parts (most?) of the world, will we care? Will we miss reduced supply if demand disappears?
Dino
Not without asking the CEO to tell me something he isn't allowed to do. I'm basing my opinion on the length of time reported that they have been producing gold, the reported cost per ounce, and the reported price of gold during that period. Probably pure guesswork, but I like to delude myself into thinking that it's a SWAG.
I think Mexus will show positive cash flow, but maybe not enough to make up for the first part of the quarter. I'm hoping it will be close at least.
Dino
Yeah, but I'm bored.
Dino
Sure. And Apple isn't profitable, either.
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/key-statistics?p=AAPL
They are $116.75 BILLION in debt!
That's only the long-term. Who knows how much short term debt they also have. I do think, however, that, just like Mexus, they are cash-flow positive and current operationally profitable.
Dino
I doubt that will be much of a problem. I don't know what Mexico is doing, but in the US, when the states shut down businesses, the only jobs available to laid off workers are package delivery for Amazon and the like. High paying jobs, especially those requiring training or skill, won't be available until the restrictions are removed. When that happens, people will return to their old jobs - if the company survived.
Gold Resources will be among the survivors. As you pointed out, GORO has a good relationship with their employees, so getting them back when allowed shouldn't be a problem.
Dino
From memory, about 40K oz total, Nevada was 10K of it.
75% cut in production?!? Yuk!!!
Dino
What kind of tax does the United States Internal Revenue Service levy on $30 million of losses by a Mexican Corporation? Even if they consider it only to be a pass-through, it is not a profit. It is a capital investment and/or loss, neither of which is taxable under current code. The actual cashflow losses and depreciation can be carried forward. They are CREDITS which can be used to offset future earnings.
Dino
I wish it were. You pay taxes on profits.
Dino
That's what I said.
Dino
Nope. Most of the work and workers are under the wholly owned Mexican subsidiary. Office staff in CA, yes, but that's not very big and is probably current.
Dino
Mexico has a self employment tax?
Dino
T-Hawk,Please read my post #36468. I tried to explain that positive cash flow is dynamic. It does not mean that all long term debts are paid in full, all equipment is fully depreciated, etc. It means that at the end of the period being discussed, the balance of "cash in the bank" is greater at the end of the period than at the beginning. In practice, unless otherwise qualified, that phrase is used when the increase is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
Dino
"Positive cash flow indicates that a company is adding to its cash reserves, allowing it to reinvest in the company, pay out money to shareholders, or settle future debt payments."
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/cashflow.asp
Mexus can only accomplish that by selling gold! The PR doesn't say how much or at what price it was sold, but does say that the cash generated by the sale of gold exceeds not just the cost of producing that gold, but the current overall cost of operating the company.
