So, how do you think this will affect us...from the dividend of ONYI shares we are supposed to be getting. Will we finally be able to get something out of JMCP? I can't recall...the ONYI shares will be restricted...right? If so, for how long?
I asked my local BofA and they aren't selling or buying dinar. Also, on their website they do not list IQD in their foreign exchange section.
Over on IIF they have discussed that XE.com article on a couple of different threads. The consensus there seems to be that they do not respect the source and do not agree with what the article is saying. The article is a dated too.
Me too. When I first saw the hype on it I looked at what it was and didn't buy any.
RJ,(or other mod) please remove my last post #538. I am past the point of being able to edit.
Thanks.
All the info and numbers you need should be on the invoice email you should have gotten from them. It took the lady at my credit union a while to figure out the wire transfer because two different banks are involved...one is an intermediary. It cost $15 to do the wire transfer through my credit union. Isn't Western Union more than that? I guess the advantage is that they will take a credit card for payment.
There's lots of info about Warka Bank accounts on the InvestorsIraq forum. It seems like a lot of people on that forum have had accounts there for some time. The bank website is being updated to allow online transactions. I think most have wired money through Germany and or Jordan.
It should get interesting around Jan. 8th when the ISX opens.
I have been considering opening a bank account in Iraq as I have read others have been doing. They have accounts in Warka Bank in both IQD and USD. Then they can transfer between the two accounts for investing on the ISX. Ideally, an account should have been in place before now and ready to access when the ISX reopens on the 8th. Oh well... It is expected that the ISX will be electronic on that date.
Good for you. Most of my other pinkies are red so it is nice to see watch this one. Aren't we due for RM news soon?
It is tempting...but I am holding. I wish I had more. I got in at .018. I like how it has been building. It is nice to see I am in the green even on days when there have been no trades. I could have gotten out and back in before...but didn't...I am pretty new at this.
I am not an ihub member as yet so I can't PM.
She already has reservations in Boquete. If she can find out where abouts of the property, or the office, I am sure she will try to see both and find out what she can.
She would probably welcome any help in locating either...as well as any donations (:
That is exactly as I thought. Mike told her he didn't know when he'd be down there next. I asked her to see if she could meet with Pedro Borges Fiol who is the head of the Latin American Panamersa.
I will post again if she has another response from him. She was disappointed he didn't reply after their last email exchange. Made her wonder....
Do any of you have the contact info for Pedro Borges Fiol?
My daughter will be in Panama for a month as of Monday. She contacted Mike Terrell to try to set up a meeting while she's there.
She will be in Panama City and plans a trip to the Boquette region. The last email she received from Mike stated that is would be hard for her to find their Panama City office because there isn't a sign. He said there isn't anything to see on the Boquete project...they are still surveying or something. She responded knowing how it is with addresses in Panama City and she would still try to meet with someone while she is there...but has not received anything further as yet. She is a shareholder but also is interested in a possible internship.

Unfortunately, I sold last shares 3 days too early with LFZA and missed out on 40K. Hopefully, I will do better with this shell.
Any idea what the status is with XRYM? I still have some....been waiting for something...
I see bid and ask both at .0001. Are you seeing nothing on bid?
I just got a reply from TDAmeritrade:
"We have received communication that a restricted stock payout is supposed to come for EQBM, but we have not yet received the shares. When the Transfer Agent pays us the shares, we will promptly place them in your account. Currently, we do not have an estimated timeframe for when you may expect to see this completed. We apologise for any inconvenience."
Do you think the quote I put in bold is a typo? It would be great if it isn't a typo!

Unemployment at 50%, says minister
By Ikhlas Majeed
Azzaman, December 14, 2006
Nearly half of Iraqis able to work are idle, said Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.
Mohamed Radhi said the high jobless rate was devastating to a country torn by sectarian strife and violence.
He said combating unemployment was as important as the fight against ‘terror’. Joblessness plays into the hands of ‘terrorists’, he said.
He said he had drawn a plan to provide short-term loans to families willing to start up their own businesses particularly those who depend on social benefits for a living.
“This project will contribute to defeating terror and terrorists who target sources of energy and labor. As a result unemployment has reached more than 50 per cent in some provinces,” he said.
He said he had 100,000 small-sized projects in mind and has urged the government set aside enough allocations to have the scheme in place in 2007.
Each family will be given a loan of 10,000 dinars (approx. $6,600) to start the project, he said.
How will the info in this new PR benefit USSE shareholders? OR EFTI for that matter. Is OSSG the one we should be in? I am tired of being in the red here, I stupidly bought in too high. What will it take to raise the PPS here?
An (brokerage) account can be set up at Aman Financial for trading stock on the ISX. It looks similar to what people were doing with Al-Warka Investment Bank....Aman looks like a nicer website. Before the investment law. people had to have Al-Warka buy the stock for them. Now we can do it for ourselves.
Nice find.
News today.
in...GSNH
NEWS today
I was able to open it.
Looks nice.
We'd need to open a brokerage account over there, right? I've read where lots of people have Warka Accounts in both USD and IQD that they use for trading.
We can't trade directly through the exchange without some IRAQI account from which funds are able to be transferred....I suupose.
Ideas? Or are you just thinking of the positive sign of progress this shows?
Yes, got out at .30.
(sorry for the double post)
I got out at .30....for better or worse. (I don't have PM..not a member yet)
Iraqi dinars aren't trading on FOREX yet. We are buying them from dealers (listed in the ibox) I bought from GidAssociates) They are physically sent to us. Chase Bank is one bank that some have bought from.
On a different site some people are investing in the Iraqi Stock Exchange (ISX). They have opened accounts in a bank in Iraq in both USD and IQD so they can transfer funds between accounts and either buy dinar or invest in Iraqi companies. They all seem to be sub-penny stocks. (see Investor's Iraq Forum, not a part of ihub...there are others too.)
Iraqi dinar may revalue (RV) slowly or (as many hope) in bigger jumps. So far it is slowly going up.
It is still considered a rather risky investment.
I have 1.5 mil.
I went to stockcharts before I posted last time and saw the chart school....I'll go back and read in there.
I had AXTG...I sold a bit early but still made out ok. I've been getting WILDBILL's emails...of thecapitalreport.com. So far the picks have been good at least for at least a few days.
Thanks. I have only a few more posts for today..not a member yet.
Note the news.
Thanks for sharing.
Last time HYPF ran, it looks like went over .30 on Amtrd chart (on ihub chart it says 52 day high of .175). Might it do that again? I haven't seen any predictions/expectations. Last time I think it looked like a 3 day run. I suppose I should just set a pps level and commit to it. Or try to take profit early in the day...
Anyway...so you think tomorrow mid afternoon might be a good time to try to be out?
Being a newbie...I really have a hard time making a decision when to get out...or when to hold.
My TDAmeritrade streamer said .147, but the when I got a quote it said .235. The bid:.23/ask: .27. I guess I should set a target for myself and make myself stick to it? My son said I should have been happy with 100%.
HYPF...changed EOD: .147.
I suppose I should have sold it when it went up 100% for me, right? I have a hard time pulling the trigger...
HELP!
Hoping for a good day tomorrow!
After 4pm news:

I bought HYPF today at .125. The last PPS is at .23.
(HOD was .245)
PRTH news came in after 4pm.
I thought they've have one for less than I can purchase one at Costco...then I may have considered purchasing one...and many of you may have done the same.
"The Optipure line will offer "brand-name quality plasma TV's at less than brand-name prices." This state-of-the-art product line will be showcased on its soon to be developed e-commerce site as well as being available in the traditional retail distribution market."
This quote taken from the ibox above. What brand-named products do they plan to compete with, I wonder.
I must have misread something somewhere along the way.
Oh well...
I have an order for more dinar for my son and daughter coming in on Thursday. I put a note on the promo line requesting uncirculated notes. I know you've said it shouldn't matter, but my last batch came in with some having dog eared corners and a couple of little tears in them....I'm just sayin....
Odd stuff. And the 15K for a TV sure isn't inexpensive...I was thinking they were trying to go into the Walmart type market.
Is there anything legit that points to a real product that Augrid is a part of?
Sorry about that. I'd like to see this move as much as the next shareholder.
Has anyone gotten an answer on if and when the Optipure's will be on the market?
I would like an honest assessment of where this is heading. A great PR would be nice too.
