Thank you Renaissance for sharing that about Glenn .. I had no idea about his (recent) HPI Board position!
Here is some info / links about the other listed member’s .. an interesting collection to say the least .. so how / why Glenn? Has me thinking that WSGI has the goods .. even though things have been so quiet & the share price has been stomped on .. something big this way comes imo

Saw this a while back but without fresh news I’m left to back track .. glad I did
I’m not sure of the status of this group but as we wait & wonder .. I like this added layer of visual confirmation of what could be

Indy you mentioned a trip to Easton .. with the hopes of clarifying the Argus free flight operations?
From the Argus Hybrid patent application PR:
“During free flight, the Argus Hybrid and the sensor package are commanded via wireless capabilities and satellite communications.”
From WSGI Website .. Products .. Argus One:
"The Argus One can wirelessly transmit critical live video and other information generated by its payload of electro-optical or infrared sensors, cameras or other high technology electronics directly to a ground control station or system."
"The ground control system allows the operator to control the Argus One either manually or remotely by programming it for GPS–based autonomous navigation using operator-designated waypoints."
Thanks for anything you care to share
WW, just to be clear .. our lowest “cheap share” purchase was a few months ago @ 3 cents .. after a few positive updates from the company
I am optimistic that contracts will come & will be very happy @ that point .. I will probably be jealous of those who are still buying at these prices .. even though WSGI has been so quiet on the news front .. now that’s OPTIMISM
; )
.01 .04 .075 it all sucks .. we’ve been buying all the way down! BUT .. someone ( s) still have the faith in what’s going on behind the scene ( s ) For whomever to be selling & for whatever reason .. someone is buying!?
Someone pointed out a very important fact about the next GSAT launch .. that they will have spare NEW satellites in the sky at that point. The FCC have been very hard on GSAT in the past because of their lack there of & the two have been in communications to move forward. I imagine anyone with the money & resources to take advantage of the new GSAT constellation would be waiting till all the pieces were in place?
Here is some interesting info on the above mentioned .. check out pg 14 and all the “support” .. wow

Well, I did pass along our thoughts about GTC / adding texting to the Spot or a separate / specific device .. to WSGI & I did receive a nice reply
Thanks Indy ; )
Ok .. I found a device that's looking to be rebranded?????
http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/the-dream-is-over-peek-ends-lifetime-email-service-for-its-devices-2012022/
; )
I believe you’re on to something Indy .. GTC need to provide a “text only device" to make use of the free data minutes / time from GSAT
Here is a little proof the demand may warrant the effort?????
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/18892128
I was reading up on the SPOT device and I believe you can pre-program some messages to send .. but thats kinda vanilla-ish
Indy’s right .. it seems they’re looking for the complete surveillance capability?????
"WASHINGTON, 28 Aug. 2012. Border security experts at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Washington, are asking industry to apply mature persistent-surveillance technology for extensive testing next year under real-world conditions on the U.S.-Mexican border.
The DHS Science and Technology Director -- the department's primary research and development arm -- issued a broad agency announcement (BAA12-13) this month for the Wide Area Airborne Surveillance System (WAASS) program to deploy airborne persistent-surveillance technology for testing next year in Nogales, Ariz.
DHS officials want industry to deploy persistent-surveillance sensor systems via manned or unmanned aircraft in an operational environment. The goal of these tests is to demonstrate the ability simultaneously to collect, detect, and highlight select observables within a large land or maritime region, DHS officials say.
Technology demonstrated on the Arizona-Mexico border is to demonstrate capabilities for long-duration persistent surveillance over urban and rural areas with daylight cameras as well as infrared sensors for nighttime use.
Sensor systems will integrate with some sort of manned or unmanned aircraft, which should then display imagery at a DHS operations center for forensic analysis within eight to 24 hours from time of collection, DHS officials say.
Sensor technology must be mature and ready to use at the time of making a proposal. The winning contract must provide the company's own aircraft, pilot, sensor system, data storage, and other necessary technologies, and should have its own liability insurance.
The project will involve all-weather, day-night sensors; sensor concept of operations; sensor control; sensor networking; communications; data storage; image and signal processing; and relevant open-systems standards.
Officials of the DHS Borders and Maritime Security Division say they expect to award a contract or contracts worth about $1.25 million for the WAASS project.
Companies interested should send proposals no later than 13 Sept. 2012 to the DHS by e-mail at BAA12-13@dhs.gov. For questions or concerns contact DHS by e-mail at BAA12-13@dhs.gov. The WAASS program manager is John Appleby, and the contracting officer is Carolyn Smith."

Thank you kind sir
I’m a generalist not a chemist .. nor do I don’t work around Helium cylinders. I’m not sure if the Helium that comes in those cylinders is in a liquid state or if it comes only as a compressed gas? I thought it could be .. but?????
The fact that WSGI / Eastcor would need such a large supply of Helium .. if Helium-2 was a cost effective means / contained more of the substance per container than the regular contained compressed gas .. would they use that resource first?
I imagine .. for the BIB system to be easy to use as possible .. the Box / Helium on board / transferable between blimp & storage container would be the compressed gas .. would have to be
Thank you indy
Helium-2 is mentioned on the updated Facebook pg .. when I was looking this up I got a little concerned about the process / difficulties in working with this material .. ie removing it back from the BIB into the tank but it looks like it is do-able! Yes indy when you’ve been through the wringer you tend to confirm what you’re being told : / no matter how happy / confident you’re with the present crew : )

Helium -2 = “a superfluid”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helium#Helium_II_state
“Helium liquifies only at very low temperatures and very high pressures.
Liquifying helium is extremely difficult. It requires an entire laboratory full of cryogenic equipment. Even if you should succeed in liquifying helium, it would be necessary to keep the tank containing it at a temperature near absolute zero.
You can compress helium and fill tanks with it in the same way as any other gas, but the helium inside the tank remains a gas, never a liquid.”

I’m more than confident that WSGI leadership is aware of market needs. The fact that we bought up GTC .. after GTC & GSAT came calling a few yrs back for a product integration study & more importantly the info from last yrs SHM indicated that study was a success.
It was reported from this yrs SHM that 17 items were in the pipeline .. I imagine G3 is playing a role in those numbers but from reading about Mr. B’s associations & connections & the role he is here to fill .. I’m very excited about our future success
The Argus platform has been tested & it operates as it should .. yes, I wish it was for three days straight but the important point is that we have a proven LTA UAV. It was an IR camera system from L-3 that I remember reading about. Well, the platform fly’s for 8 hrs .. that’s almost ALL night
; )
Indyjonesohio ..
Here is a little light reading on the State Department & their desire to not only track the movement of their personnel while abroad in hostile territory.. but they’re also looking for the means to watch in real time from above as well
I think wsgi ( LTA products ) along with the marriage to GTC ( tracking / monitoring / voice / data solutions ) .. & the close working relationship with GSAT ( pass info from point A to B ) .. will fulfill that want / need at some point in the not too distant future .. in a one stop shopping?????

We’re enjoying your posts .. you do good work
; )
That’s so true R .. how hard would it be to get this product certified .. if in fact the fuelgas / blaugas is being separated / contained within a thin fabric type material & bolts of lighting start zappen its azz .. hmm
If you at the pictures where you can see into the rear segments .. you’ll see what looks like a bag at the top within each of the middle segments .. what if the helium is with those inner bags .. the helium leaks though most materials ( so these inner bags are thicker / less porous ) & it does expand as it rises .. pushing out / filling out that needed space where the fuelgas should be residing
Don’t know .. just wondering WTF .. like u said
I’m wondering if the Argus engine is running on gasoline .. check out the photo that shows the close-up of the new pod & you see a cap of sorts at the back / top ..
http://www.wsgi.com/argus.php
Maybe the separation with Dr. K / the need to rework the platform .. resulted in this 8hr eyebrow raiser
Or .. maybe the Gov. Sponsor / DoD insisted on misleading specs .. but with the upcoming show wsgi wanted something out there .. I hope
be real .. I’m not sure about the relationship between L-3 / Eastcor / WSGI .. but at one time I posted the fact that Eastcor & L-3 shared the same address.
But, here is the “NEW” MX-10 IR camera listed under WESCAM’s ( L-3 ) website. It is 37lbs but as WW pointed out if the motor compartment isn’t needed on the tethered only BIB system .. then anything is possible?
http://www2.l-3com.com/wescam/products/mx-10.htm
ps .. mide, as always .. thank u
; )
indyjonesohio .. interesting points. How long have you been following this story? I can’t tell from your two posts if you have a military background or maybe you’re in manufacturing of military equipment?
WSGI recently handed the data info from the Argus testing / demoing @ N2S2 to Space Florida .. it has been reported that all went well. What role do you think Space Florida plays going forward? Do you think we hear anything about the 230’ platform or would the 111’ platform be the focus yet for some time?
Thanks
The Army was testing a smaller ( man-portable ) aerostat system late last yr ( Nov ) .. obviously they’re interested in the concept .. but maybe not happy with what was tested? as it was after their testing that this RFI went out ( Dec 6 ) for additional solutions & then extended ( Dec 20 )
“Monday Nov 14, 2011
The 40-plus systems under evaluation also include new equipment being considered by the Army’s Rapid Equipping Force and the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, or JIEDDO. The soldiers showed the generals a two-man portable aerostat that the REF is considering fielding in response to an urgent need out of Afghanistan. It can carry a two-pound payload, fly at 1,500 feet and takes 20 minutes to launch. It comes with what looks like a fishing rod to retrieve the mini-blimp when it’s in the air. The pack it comes in was big, perhaps too big for two men to carry with much ease. The brigade will send its feedback on this system and others to the REF and JIEDDO, which will use it to make decisions on whether to buy or keep looking.”

I didn't come across our BIB system .. but I believe in the Crew at the helm & believe our day will come .. soon
Ps ..
Here is that company specific that had their product tested & maybe even better news .. I don’t see their name on the presenter list at the upcoming UAVSI show
http://www.defensemedianetwork.com/stories/army-explores-miniature-aerostat-concept/
; )
WW provided that link gran torino.. here is some wording from that link ..
“The purpose of this RFI is to obtain technical and cost information from manufacturers regarding the availability of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) or Government-off -the- Shelf (GOTS) modular compact aerostat and payload deployment units with launch commanded by a hand held controller. The purpose of this aerostat platform system is to obtain potential solutions to provide small tactical units with an Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance capability.”
https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&tab=core&id=40abfd23355d368732576e769ccd57f2
There are other larger Aerostat systems out there? that are being supplied by large defence contractors .. so obviously they’re wanted?? How many smaller systems that fit in the back of a standard sized truck / vehicle .. that deploy at the push of a button .. I don’t know! But sounds like a great idea to me & if it works woohoo!!!!!
If Huff were still leading the charge we would have read / heard about the product idea before seeing the PR removed from their website?!?!?
Don’t get hung-up in the past .. everything changes with time. Mr. ‘B’ is here for his connection & to sell products .. not dreams!!!!!

nilremerlin, that’s a tough call .. guessing who may be the first to order the BIB system .. but I’ll go with the Border Patrol. I’d think the Police Service’s may also be very interested in its usefulness
I’m not sure W .. but it is reassuring to read the interest is out there for our new BIB product.
This tid-bit is also from Nando’s SHM notes & reads into the info you’ve reposted .. thank you
“ B-I-B – procurement ready and will demo in Las Vegas. This product could be deliverered from 1 week to couple of months depending of application and NOT YEARS. The final design, including tether is client specific depending on payload and elevation requirements. In other words, there is no fix package design x lbs at y feet. Price tag could start in the $250,000.”
So, it is nice to read that WSGI / Eastcor will work with the client (s) to fine tune their needs / wants
"WSGI believes the industry leading AUVSI Unmanned Systems North America 2012 is an optimum venue to unveil its BIB system as the event is expected to attract thousands of attendees from around the world and have global media coverage. WSGI will be located at booth 1336 and intends to have not only an actual BIB system for inspection but also video footage of the BIB system in testing operations along with footage of the Argus One airship which recently completed multiple rounds of government payload testing in Nevada."
So, what happened?????
WSGI calls AUVSI ..
AUVSI: So, you want a booth .. how much stuff you want to display?
WSGI: Well, we have an actual "BIB system that could be packaged in a standard size crate that is mounted to the back of a HUMVEE, pickup truck ( 4’ x 8’ ) or other comparable vehicle" .. & a TV or computer / laptop .. the means to "show video footage"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickup_truck
AUVSI: Hmm .. does a 10’x10’ booth suit your needs .. you could have booth 1336?
WSGI: Perfect .. we’ll tell the world!
Wait wait wait ..
WSGI: Ummm .. we’ve concluded that a 10’x10’ is a little too small for our needs
AUVSI: Ok, no problem .. we have a few 10’x20’ booths still available .. will that work for you?
WSGI: Ahh .. hmmm .. nope .. we’ll need at least 20’x20’ .. actually, we’ve been doing some testing / demoing for the ARMY .. they want to keep an eye on us .. we need to sit right beside them (lol)
; )
I see their original booth 1336 is sitting unoccupied .. which says to me that this wasn’t a booth number mix-up from the get-go but an afterthought to some extent.
Nando did have this to say ..
“Testing – the only legal statement that they can say is that it was successful as expected. They had enough problems trying to release the information that was PR’d. They are prohibited from disclosing any additional information including maximum elevation, tethered or unthered.
Questioned asked about the other PRs and it was stated that the information released was again restricted by the client. The company will not jeopardize any potential contracts by providing information not approved by clients. Their hands are tied with confidentiality of information.”
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=77822233
Fun fun fun
Thank you very much Nando

“Why they keep coming” and one day soon where they’re going ????? Bet they’re the ones asking for the releasable Hybrid too
; )
Thanks R & B for your reply’s .. hopefully our ‘BIB’ protects & catches as effortly as well .. reads like it would ; )
I agree with your thought’s Ol fiat on the possibilities with this new device in the hands of law enforcement .. I love the fact that Mr.’B’ is involved with the “International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP)”
I can only imagine the cost / limitation of flying a manned police helicopter .. to pursue or act as eyes in the sky when a long steady glare is wanted / required
The push for this tethered system may also have to do with the fact that these larger UAV’s won’t be allowed into U.S. airspace for a couple more yrs. Yes, a larger system could operate high above Military grounds within restricted airspace .. but It certainly won’t hurt our quest for success having a presence within the “Executive Office of the President” .. namely Mr. Bocchichio!
GLAL
It does sound like an impressive system .. one person / auto deploy & retrieval. At first I thought for sure it was the Argus Hybrid then after rereading I thought it was an updated version of the MTS .. but I’m now thinking maybe it is the Hybrid
As they mention this ..” In May 2012, the Company filed a provisional patent application for the Argus Hybrid aerostat based on the BIB technology”
We / I know of only two patent applications????? .. the Argus One & the Argus One Hybrid? Did I / we / they miss applying for a provisional patent on the BIB concept? They plan on unveiling it in a couple wks at the “Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International's ("AUVSI")”? I see the TM or Trade Mark indicator but I don’t remember ever reading about them applying for a provisional patent on the MTS or this BIB system?
First system .. Argus One = Patent Application!
Second system .. MTS ( Mobile Tethered Solution ..” 2 man operable system” ) = Provisional Patent? Don’t recall .. do you?
Third system .. Argus Hybrid ( Tethered / releasable ) = Provisional Patent!!
Fourth system? BIB (TM or trade mark ) “one man operable” =Provisional Patent?? Anyone?
I’m sure he’s multi-talented but I think he’s only being quoted
Cool, yes we’ve heard it all before .. the Huff era wasn’t pretty .. we’re lucky to still be alive. Some impressive people bought into the fluffy whale-shaped, metal framed idea of the Stratellite .. before being introduced to Dr.K & his studied concept of LTA UAV’s
When Capt. Christian took over .. while working with Dr. K .. his Airchain /worm was reworked and became the STS-111 .. Time Mag. acknowledged it as something special .. but this group couldn’t resolve the ever-present dark cloud issues of the SEC
Clark & crew .. finally cleaned up the SEC mess & law-suits, finding funding .. but like every two steps forward this company has ever taken it seemed like a step back was taken when we parted ways with Kroplin and the airship was reworked to become the Argus platform
Cool we’ve been around here for a long time .. we know the idea of these LTA platforms residing high above was talked about back in 1999 .. before the market crash and monies to fund these dreams dried up. Most Gov / Military articles of interest don’t start showing up till 2005 .. the same time huff is dreaming out loud. But like any tech development .. time is needed. Even Krolpin’s dated paper’s projected 2010 before Stratospheric flight .. & only recently has Gov / Military made funding available for LTA platforms. As other’s struggle .. maybe the recent development within our lengthy project will actually bear fruit.
Best wishes as always
He certainly hasn’t been overly talkative .. maybe he likes to lead by example
Here’s what he did share in the announcing PR:
Chairman Bocchichio stated, "I am honored and pleased to have the opportunity to join the Board of Directors of WSGI. I share with the rest of the Board and our management team a strong desire to build on WSGI's advanced technology to take the Company to the next level. Our goal is to leverage my extensive government experience and global contacts to transition WSGI from a virtual research and development venture into a revenue producing enterprise capable of securing and delivering on government and commercial business."
He sounded confident in the “advanced technology” he has been privy too .. just a matter of gettin’ together with some “contacts”?
; )
Well, that’s too bad that you won’t be attending the SHM this yr BDay .. we enjoyed reading your report from last yr’s event .. hopefully Mide will be so kind yet again?
I agree with Bagelboy’s assessment of the current situation with how the DoD wants the company to keep things quiet while testing / development is still under way
With the awarding of those millions of shares to settle the lawsuits .. also the recent funding deal in which Mr. Clark put up his home / property as collateral .. been needed more than the obvious?
Some have suggested that the dollar values that accompany the recent GTC contracts being so small the reason they weren't even mentioned .. could there be another reason?
BBB & Nil have shown that accumulation has been taking place for quite some time on the TA board. Who’s doing all this accumulating? I know some of us here have been buying .. that the insiders sit on a ton of shares .. but could those connected with G3 or maybe Gov. / Military friends of Mr. Bocchichio have been loading up as we wonder how / why a declining share price continues as the company seems to move in a positive direction
Exactly what’s happening here I don’t know .. but that N2S2 site sits pretty close to another very secure location that houses some very large hangers?
We know these platforms are wanted .. in fact there’s no way WSGI would say they’re in high level discussions with Gov. & Gov. Related agencies if this were not true .. considering the role the SEC has played in our recent past!?!?!
Fun fun fun
I remember Space Florida’s President Frank DiBello saying how” they thought our Airship’s represented the next big thing” .. that news link / interview is dead now but he shared those thought’s at one point
I realize it’s through ENSCO that Mr. Pruett is expanding his role in the Space Florida program .. but the fact that he sits on our Board can’t be a bad thing.
Knowing that WSGI delivered that Performance Data info to Space Florida recently .. adds nicely to this mix
; )
