I see we are back to the beloved .666. LOL
That was a fantasticly great summary! All the more reason we shouldn't be in the .60's!
Never-the-less, it seems the stock price should be creeping up rather than creeping down. I am a bit surprised that many here who berated me for being negative in the past are the most negative now.
This will most likely prove to be temporary. Many believe crude will be much higher. The following is from a financial news article this morning:
* Morgan Stanley raised its forecast for U.S. crude oil price to $105 a barrel from $95 for 2012 due to tightening spare capacity. It expects global spare production capacity to stay ample through the end of 2010, before declining in 2011 and by 2012 reaching the similar tightness of 2007-08. Crude futures fell 0.7 percent.
$300 oil would be a nightmare not a dream! In addition to ERHE, I also am invested in new alterative energies. We need to look at the whole picture. I have to say, without being negative,(which I said I wouldn't be)...I am not happy with the course the stock price has been taking. Why would anyone short this close to finding whether there is substantial oil or not? Well, maybe the shorters are saying to themselves the same thing about us...why would anyone invest this close when there may or may not be substantial oil? Nerve wracking!!
I agree. Although ERHE is a nail biter right now, PM's are not. Good thing to have both!
MIAMIDRIFT AND OTHERS ...I grew up poor and when married had 5 children with only my husband working, so I understand that many can not have an emergency fund. We didn't have one for a very long time. I think you are missing my point...until you do have a cushion, the money doesn't belong in the stock market because that can evaporate quickly .
Yes...EVERYONE (every household) 'should' have a 6-9 month emergency fund, but I know many do not and may not be able to. But it is not wise to have all your money in the stock market with nothing to cover emergencies or living expenses. You might have to sell when the stock is at a low point. I hope no one here finds themselves in that postition with ERHE.
My last post wasn't meant as a reply to iwondertoo. eom
I am a bit surprised to see that some have sold a few thousand shares to cover 'unexpected' expenses. Everyone is supposed to have an emergency fund of 6-9 months for just such things and in case one loses his job. Did you all use your emergency fund to buy ERHE?
I was actually wondering about that possibility myself.
Then he should let us know that he is unable to divulge for whatever reason rather than just letting us hang. That would just be a common courtesy.
This is a tough time...waiting...waiting...waiting for something! (And I don't mean from Mark.)
Just what I was thinking this morning. Ever since Mark said he had some good information about ERHC that he wanted to verify before divulging...he's been missing in action.
True. There is something to be said for that!
The spirit didn't move me this morning! eom
It seems to be taking a long time for Mark to verify his 'good news'.
BB and ERHC
I can hardly believe what I've been reading here lately.
For years BB has all but been cannonized
Now he's just about been demonized!
Truthfully...he's no one's minion,
Just giving his honest opinion.
Have never heard him call anyone names,
Although some here ARE playing games.
Truly, we are at at a critical time,
Attacking each other...almost a crime!
When the SS price drops the board turns nasty, seeming to forget we're in this boat together.
For the sake of any new investors 'checking us out',
Let's sing a new song...not 'Stormy Weather'!
Balance...Yes, this is something that most are overlooking and I mentioned it days ago. China wants to dump US dollars and buying US companies is a great way to do it.
Other than that...I know nothing. At least I will admit it. It's all supposition and guess work right now.
Today's action is certainly not for the faint-hearted. China's stock market has been hit hard the last couple of days. Perhaps some are questioning China's ability to carry through with their plans in the JDZ when their economy is getting deeper and deeper in trouble.
It seems to me that most are frozen into immobility by uncertainty. Very little buying or selling...waiting for drilling results to make a move.
That was certainly the most comprehensive release I've ever read from ERHC!
I have a feeling (based on absolutely nothing) that we will see a small bounce by the eod trading. The excitement has certainly died down in the last few days.
Strassenheim...I can certainly relate to your post! eom
Buy the rumor and sell the news,
It's enough to make one blow a fuse!
The eighties should have come and gone,
Instead-we get the same old song.
So hurry-drill through that ocean floor,
So we can see a buck or more!!!
I do think there are some who have many thousands of shares at a very small buy-in price that may be taking some profits off the table.
You know the theory: A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
One reason I think the SP has been slow-to-grow is most don't know a JDZ from a PDQ!
If I were an individual just beginning to look into investing in an oil company, I would probably check out the well known companies not knowing there was anything called a JDZ. For this reason, I think it's going to take more time than we hoped for this to become 'mainstream'. Certainly the 'partners' don't seem too concerned with making our existence known. If someone,by chance happened to research Addax, they might come across us. Less likely on Sinopec.
The only reason that I know about the JDZ is the fact that I was invested in ERHC as a remediation company before it got involved with the JDZ and I just came along for the ride.
TRYOTY has tried to convince me how easy it would be to learn about our activities in the JDZ, but for the above mentioned reasons I say...Just go out on the street and start asking people what the JDZ is and you probably won't find one person who knows. So who's going to put it in a search engine???
So, I say just relax and wait. It may take a little longer than you think.
(Can you imagine I'M saying this...be more patient? LOL)
Uncalled for TRYOTY...no more poems for you!
This is the time of day when most stocks are at their lowest trading price of the day. Watch it start to go up within the next hour or so.
Tryoty...When I signed on with ERHC, THERE WERE NO PARTNERS!
Even with the discovery of oil ERHC may not be mentioned. I think those who don't know about ERHC are going to have to dig deep to find it unless ERHC themselves can put out some info. I hope I'm wrong about this. PLEASE tell me I am.
Not that you really need to know but...I sold some in the .70's a little while ago which I now see was a mistake! So now for the rest, I will wait.
Indeed!LOL Folks are going with the law of probability here, with the probability of finding oil having the higher percentage.
How can we get the SP to move,
We just don't seem to be in the groove.
Maybe counting our chickens before they're hatched,
Is preventing that dollar from being matched.
Walldog's ERHC sign...
I received my sign from "Crappie" today,
And thought it mighty quick.
What else would one really expect,
From a nice guy name of Nick.
Now...will I find 'magic' in this sign,
Enough to raise the price?
No promises can I make,
It's just a roll of the dice.
Of course, that's only for today,
The future's very bright.
So let's relax and enjoy the day,
And not get too up tight.
You never know what the end of the day will bring.
It appears that someone is worried there will be a 'very big find'!
KOWNSKI just inspired me with a PM.
Here we all are chomping at the bit
Anticipation so keen we can hardly sit.
Monday may bring profits galore...
But remember...resistance is ninety-four.
(And KOWNSKI, you should put yours on...it was good.)
majicathome...Thank you...I am aware of all those things.
You can follow the same procedure with short term sales grouping them into one and listing as 'various'for the purchase date. The way I found out about this was from a friend who is a day trader. I said to him that it must be a nightmare having to list all those hundreds of separate trades on the tax form. That's when I found out that you only needed to to it once for each company by using the various method.
I think I know what you are asking.
If you have made multiple purchases of ERHE all more than a year old you can just write them all in on one line on your tax return and put the purchase date in as 'various', then the total amount.
