Cox is considering Q and Lobo right now in New Orleans according to my conversation with them Friday
Member marks for you and florist and lobo
Hi Spring. I've seen some of your posts and I think we're going to be great friends :)
That's one aggressive looking bull :)
Totally...I have the champagne all ready for a moonshot, just in case LOL
Trey
"but they haven't come out yet.."
All in their own time :)
Drinking before the wedding? :) You work a lot it seems.
Hello Mr. Liquid :)
Trey
I thought I would drop in and say Hi and thanks for the invite from both florist and lobogotti. Is there an open bar? LOL
Trey
skunks, thanks I saw it.
I contacted Cox on Friday and got a similar response. They are making some decisions about both Q and Logo and I believe they will add both. They already have Here!
Trey
"You guys ever joke around about the phrase Cocktail party? LOL"
LOL.....my business email in New Orleans is with Cox Cable so what do you think? I joke about Cox all the time :)
Trey
"So, if you have a working relationship with either of those two"
I've never spoken to either one but I guess I could call and see if I can get some phone time to discuss it. I'll try Monday.

"gays might have a particular interest in investing in QBID"
I believe that you're absolutely right. Most of my gay friends already own shares in QBID but I haven't really made it a topic of conversation with every gay guy I meet. There are thousands and thousands of gay people who've heard of the Q but probably haven't thought in terms of buying stock in the company. I don't think many people decided to buy Viacom stock when LOGO was announced but this is a different situation of course. I believe that a PR push (in the local gay press for example) to inform the gay community that they have the opportunity to be one of the owners of their own channel has a lot of appeal. You know for a hundred bucks you could have 50,000+ shares in "your own gay tv channel" has a nice ring to it. "In on the bottom floor and pull for your company's success" sort of thing has a certain proprietary feel to it that I like. I need to talk with a few friends this weekend about this some more because I'm not sure how many average guys are aware of the investment end of it and all they have to do is visit the website and they'd have to get excited. I like this idea a lot. Also pitching it to gay businesses as investors may be something that hasn't been fully explored. I don't mean for advertising but say for example the owner of "Joe's Flowers" would be interested in owning shares and would then spread the word and so on. Maybe a window sticker that says "I Own Part of The Mighty Q" or "It's a channel for us, let's own part of it" is a conversation I'm certainly happy to have on a regular basis.
I'll make a few calls this weekend and see what some of my buddies think. Really like the idea, thanks.

"Frank is gay and proud of it"
So am I :)
"What makes you think Frank is a gay man....lol"
His boyfriend said so :)
It seems there's been some conversation about whether Frank might end up screwing the shareholders here. This is a gay company whose future as a viable channel depends for the most part on whether or not the gay community responds by subscribing. I know for a fact that there are a lot of gay shareholders and for the management to intentionally screw us would create a negative wave of sentiment that the company would find difficult if not impossible to overcome. Gay Shareholders Screwed by Gay Management would be a tag that they'd have a lot of trouble living down and for a start-up channel appealing to the gay community for their loyalty, it would be a deal breaker in my opinion. This is not about the usual bb stock crap where the management steals the money and moves on from the ash heap. This is about a company, a viable company that will depend on the good will of the gay community to survive. We don't offer our good will lightly, particularly when there are other places to spend our cash.
I believe Frank as a gay man with years of experience with gay businesses is well aware of this, very aware. I don't believe for a second that he'd act in a way that would destroy our support before we are even able to offer it. And screwing shareholders would do that in spades. On the other hand, treat us fairly and we'll be signing up as subscribers in droves.
I look forward to signing up.
Trey
How about CRGO? TIA
TREY
Good Evening Skunks ;)
Rich, I can tell you that here in New Orleans I don't have a single friend gay or straight who doesn't own some. Thanks for your words .
Trey
I haven't posted much but I first bought Q a year ago last february when an ask of .0002 was news. I convinced my brother and some friends that it was worth a few bucks and more importantly for me as a gay man it was cool to own stock in a gay company, a company that talked about how it was going to actually televise content that was aimed at part of my slice of life. Not many here can perhaps identify with what that feeling was (and is ) like unless you've found yourself under represented and misrepresented in the media. It was a rush. Then there was the run and a bunch of us made nice money while waiting for something tangible to develop other than the share price. There were some stirrings but not much. Then slowly some things came together and what do you know, the Q is in all of my gay magazines right next to the ads for American Express and BMW. Then the programming and the channel is up and running. The point here is that the difference between where we are now and even a year ago is to me remarkable. I'm impatient by nature and want things available to me on my television now. I want the financials and the stock questions answered so that the pps makes us all smile a bit more and I feel like that should be an immediate priority. We are deserving of a better shake in that regard.
Most are here understandably for a decent return on their investment . I'm certainly here for that as well but I'm also here to say it's been a thrill to be there at the start and along the way to see gay issues discussed without the usual overload of bile. It's tough to put into words how cool it is that the conversation on this board usually is about a business which happens to be a gay business and most could care less that it is. To me that is very cool indeed.
Just wanted to say "Thanks"
Trey
Hello RULiquid and let's hear it for CRGO ! YEAHHHHHHHHHH
Trey
Skunks
Nice day here in New Orleans where we get COX Cable LOL
TA DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

zeus1:
I've emailed Here! and said that if this format continues, it will do so without this subscriber. That's when they emailed me about the October series and said I should be patient. I said I would not be patient. Too bad because there's room for several types of channels with varied programs but they need to be worth the money. So far Here! is not.
Trey
"Paul Colichman, Here!'s founder and CEO, felt he'd have to make too many compromises to satisfy advertisers if his service, which offers a wide array of original programming and theatricals, was on basic."
What channel is he talking about? The Here!TV I pay $6.95 per month for on Cox Cable in New Orleans doesn't have a wide array of anything much less original programming or theatricals. They have said that they would offer an original series in October but for the 2 months I've had it, it's so far from having edgy programming that you could show it at noon in Times Square and few would notice. Very limited and mostly repeats from month to month. Disappointing so far to me.
Trey
I resemble that remark dude LOL
Cox Cable in New Orleans
"To be honest though, i wish Here! was publically traded... "
I have HereTV and I've sent them 2 emails in the last week about their programming. It's very limited and changes rarely so I'm not sure that it will hold it's subscriber base for long. If you have a free weekend you can watch everything they have and will have for the month so that's the downside.
Trey
When I complained to 2 different Ameritrade reps about GVRP rather loudly they offered me 5 free trades (I guess to shut me up). I called the next day just to check and I was told that the person who gave me 5 had exceeded his authority and I would only get 3. I just found that so funny for some reason I couldn't even get angry. I wonder if he was severely reprimanded for trying to juice the company out of the extra 2 trades? LOL
Trey
RULiquid
You wished me luck the first day I signed up which was May 11. I would like to now return the sentiment :)
Trey
Hello bb_stock : when you get the time would you mind posting a few oil plays that you like for the next month or so? I've enjoyed the TNOG ride, thank you.
Trey
Don't worry about him, he's cool with you. He just has trouble dealing with women who successfully predict the destruction of his sports teams. I don't because I bet against him hehehe
Hello shunksyard, things seem to be building here and I'm in no hurry.
I'm taking my brother out tonight. He thinks it's because he's such a wonderful brother (which he is of course) but actually having a twin with you is better than walking a puppy as far as attracting attention. LOL
Be nice to him, the Evil Empire Dude is having a rough sports year hehehehehehehehe
OT: i_like_bb_stock: my brother has shown me his correspondence with you and he should be ignored. He has never been able to fully deal with the fact that I'm the better looking identical twin and I'm younger LOL.
Trey
LOL I am of course nicer, sexier, richer, smarter, kinder, more popular and of course far better able to deal with adversity than Mr. Evil Empire LOL He didn't speak to me for several days either simply because I sent him a telegram congratulating his team for making the record books LOL
btw, his sense of humor has returned although he doesn't have quite the flair that I have in that regard either :)
Trey
Happy Birthday Skunks from the better looking identical twin :)
Trey
P.S. Tweety says congrats on the anniversary of your 29th birthday
Thank you BB for the welcome. Posting here first has already been lucky as I knew it would be LOL
My OSFT has made for a nice weekend
Trey
I've been reading this board off and on for a few months now and decided my first post should be here for good luck. There, now I'm certain to make money. Thanks for the board.
