I've decided to hold all for now. After your post, I too thought about selling a partial, and then putting in an order to try to buy back. Just really nice volume today, and this going into the weekend is a good sign to me. The business looks great, and I think this can keep running right up into November and beyond.
great...thanks man...i appreciate it, as i kind of thought about all of the different shares and trying to unload in one big chunk if it does pop would be difficult...
Question for you on the secret pick...as I mentioned, it's my first sub penny. I can potentially sell 250k of my 1M at .002 and ride the other 750k as freebies. Is that smart investing to do that? My financial position is well enough off that I have no concern about the $500 it cost me, so my gut says just ride it and let whatever happens happen.
Your opinion is appreciated. Thanks!
Secret pick is looking hot today. I was kind of curious what Friday would bring (if there would be a sell off or not)...Loving this play!
I hear ya. This is my first sub ever. I've got enough shares...will patiently hold waiting for a big pop...maybe we can see the 52 week high again...lol...I'd definitely be out then!
I absolutely love this pick. I was just going to post to you about it, and saw you posted. Very exciting. I even had a little more to gamble with and now kind of wishing I would've hit another 1M at the alert range.
I'm glad you got a response from IR. I'm still awaiting a response from a query I sent them early last week.
doing well i'd say...excited with some of the upcoming votes that could potentially help this move...
I have not heard back from IR yet. The usually get back to me in the same day, but I have not written for a while. Did someone else mention not too long ago that it has been taking longer to get a response to their questions?
Finally got myself some. 1M at .0005. Let's see what happens. My first ever sub-penny buy.
I sent an email to IR this morning specifically asking about the CFO, along with the assumption that we all likely have that Kevin Jennings has moved on and is no longer supporting.
I'll let you know if I hear anything, but yes, it bothers me that they have not yet addressed this with only 6 months left to March...
It is possible they could've been buying a good chunk of them. I will say that I am no expert on knowing when they have to report. It just shows the change in shares by being that full amount, but for all I know, they could've been accumulating since the beginning of the year and just updated the holdings on 6/30.
I also noticed there was a Blackrock entity that reduced shares, so maybe there is a way that those reduced were simply moved over into something "new".
Here's some good news to chew on over the weekend or until the next PR.
Multiple sites (Yahoo, Morningstar, FinViz, iHub) show that Inst Ownership is close to 60%. This is probably the first time I've ever checked these sites and ended up with them all being within a reasonable margin (say 5%). I know some of you will check my info, so make sure on Yahoo you check both BAA and BAA.TO, as Yahoo separates the numbers so you have to add them together.
Morningstar looks great though...you can see a lot of the holdings and when they were updated...

I would call it pretty significant that Blackrock Fund Managers Limited has initiated a position of 66,373,488 that was updated on 6/30/2016. So big money is obviously looking at H2, so lets bring on those Q3 production results.
Me too buddy. I agree 100% that there won't be much, if any, movement in the upcoming weeks until Q3 production results are released. The only things I can see that would change that are a significant PR, something like the debt refinance as you mentioned, or a significant swing in gold prices one way or another.
$LPTH could run hard today after posting profit on ER AH's last night. Quite a bit of AH's trading, and still a lot of shorts left to cover. Low floater, so it could go to $3+ in a hurry.
I was going through the threads here, what is the ticker? I missed it.
No doubt. Everyone has to have their own ways. I'll give that one a look. Planning on getting some cash freed up before the weekend, so might have to buy me something new on Monday.
yeah B A A has kind of been a brutal ride...still have all of mine...the CFO thing doesn't bother me too much, but i'll be closely watching their Q3 production results...if they truly meet or exceed guidance, then i'll still be holding...if they slip up, then i'll have to start locking in some profits...
I just dabbled with 1,000 shares of LPTH. Charts look really good. I hate holding through ER's, but looks like this one could see a push up to close today. Thanks man!
By the way, did you ever rebuy any B A A? Pretty low volume past few days, and today is insanely low...not even 100k shares traded yet. Will probably be in a lull though until early October when Q3 production is released...unless there is another PR before then.
You guys might give $LPTH a look. They announce ER today after hours. Charts look very good. 9 million in the float and 800k short. Price is breaking through some key areas on 8x34 and 50x200 charts.
$LPTH breaking through the 200dma.
UAMY - PSAR just flipped on the daily. Going to see .50's soon, imo.
Wow, did you see that huge drop on UAMY right on the open, then right back up to .39...holy cow, a quick swing there.
That order still may fill. While I like seeing it up today, this less than 1 million volume is very very low. It really could swing either way, and I'm not convinced that we won't get a full candle body close of the gap at .335-.34...In order to fully close, I think we have to touch and close at or around .32.
Why I don't think it will hit .2X's again, I really don't know. I am not putting as much weight on the CFO leaving as I am in looking at what the companies guidance was for H2 and I see nothing except higher production with higher gold prices.
Also, I know we have slightly different styles in our accounts. As I recall, you trade out of an IRA mostly, which isn't subject to the short term taxes, where I trade out of my individual brokerage account which is subject to taxes. While I have some "play" money in there to swing trade, the majority of my funds get tied up into long term holdings.
UAMY is thin on the ask. Gap fill, but golden cross occurring on the 50/200 daily. Ready for the next run up imo.
Yep, I got you. You had .32's at one time, and I knew you mentioned .2X's to which I responded that I didn't think it would get there. I still don't think it will get there, but could be wrong. I see a candle body gap fill from .335-.34, which looks to fill today and then moving on and up from there.
Got your bid in on B A A? Huge shake today. .3205 for the low for today.
UAMY - Just wanted to say thanks Matt. Huge volume spike.
UAMY .39 now...only a penny away. Good volume today too.
Vlisp, I honestly don't think you'll see .20's with BAA unless POG falls through the floor, or unless they announce some news that they really F'd up. I do think you might have a chance again at your .32's or .33 for a full candle body gap-fill. Keep in mind that their guidance was more heavily loaded H2 vs H1 2016, ~ 60% and 40% respectively. As long as they meet or exceed their guidance, and POG continues to hold or move upward, they will be moving on up.
I do wish I could find the link, but I saw a post (maybe on the BAA board) that this is their CFO's (Kevin Jennings) M.O. He moves job to job every 2-3 years, so this move doesn't look near as bad when putting that into perspective.
I'm liking my UAMY buy at .32 a couple days ago. That golden cross can't come soon enough. Very nice buy a few mins ago.
Good deal! I would be riding freebies too, but I'm a long term holder and trading out of a regular account (not an IRA), so I'm subject to the short and long term taxes. That being said, about 80% of the shares I hold were purchased in the .12-.13 range, so I'm still plenty green.
Hey Vlisp - Your favorite junior B A A is finally retracing today. Might be good to camp in that .33 to .335 range to see if that whole candle body gap on the daily closes.
I'll take it. I bought yesterday before the close at .32, based off the 8x34 Weekly and 50x200 Daily set ups.
My bad. I thought they were reporting today, AH's.
Do you think UAMY is a buy right now at the .32 ask...or what until after earnings? Just curious as I have a little free cash to play with. Typically with any of my swings though, I am out before ER...so this would be a little different buying right before.
Sounds good Faz. All is well here. Work has been busy as we come to FY end. The fam is well too. Boys are getting ready to start school a week from today. A 2nd grader and an 8th grader, so it should be an exciting school year for both of them.
The only thing that isn't well is my golf game. It pretty much sucks this year. I'm sure it's my golf clubs and not the guys swinging them, so by the end of the year when BAA is really making hay I might just sell a couple hundred shares and buy some new clubs. LOL.
Good timing on your part. I had just missed bottom, but liked my buy. I still have every single share. It's great to look at in the account, and makes it much easier to stomach some of the downs we've had when a quick check reminds me where we were.
Hopefully gold keeps pushing to 1400 and beyond, or possibly refi news this Q. Otherwise we probably stay in this .38-.42 (maybe up to .45) channel until Q3 production numbers in early Oct.
Oh, it got there. I loaded at .125.
