Fantastic! Hope we make progress on major network coverage soon. I have noticed that Anderson Cooper on CNN is starting to get very involved in covering "the clean up". Should I try to contact him and refer him to you?
On idea # 2 : This guy is a must contact.
Idea # 2. Contact William Walker at Louisiana MDEQ who needs secondary boom, including absorbent boom.
Oil spill washes into Louisiana marshes; MDEQ head spots oil

Fiery trails of decomposing oil surrounded the Deepwater Horizon oil spill site in the Gulf of Mexico
on Thursday. William Walker, executive director of the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, was with a group of reporters and photographers aboard a National Guard helicopter on a flyover of the spill site about 100 miles south of Mississippi. An oil sheen was seen about 69 miles south of Gulflport on the flight and it was the closest visible evidence of oil to the state's coast.
Oil well owner BP PLC said Thursday that more oil than was first estimated is gushing into the Gulf of Mexico at the same time the company was ordered to use a less-toxic form of chemical dispersant.
Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported that gooey, rust-colored oil washed into the marshes at the mouth of the Mississippi River and the wetlands of Louisiana for the first time.
According to the AP, up until now only tar balls and a sheen of oil had come ashore. But on Wednesday, chocolate brown and vivid orange globs, sheets and ribbons of foul-smelling oil the consistency of latex paint began coating the reeds and grasses of Louisiana's wetlands, home to rare birds, mammals and a rich variety of marine life.
The director flew about 100 miles over the sheen of oil. "It's still leaking fresh product," he said. "As long as that happens, we don't have a finite problem to get our arm around."
Mississippi's coast is fortified by boom, Walker said, but secondary boom, including absorbent boom, may have to be laid "to better protect areas."
Wow. You are the MAN. Great find. For direct question to BP on AC360
"you can also post on questions for bp tonight at 10pm board is open."

Who can come up with the best question???
Very well said rjayplayer!!! Who has another good idea for Anderson Cooper on his blog AC360??? http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2010/05/20/live-view-of-bp-oil-leak/#addcomment
Go for it! Good job. Who has another idea about a post for AC360. We should all hit him with different info. What else can we post to Anderson Cooper??? http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2010/05/20/live-view-of-bp-oil-leak/#addcomment
We as share holders should take the ball and run with it. Yes let's contact local TV but do not discard the idea of contacting Anderson Cooper via his blog. Here is the link let's all do it now. What is the harm and the pay off when he picks it up could be a major breakout. Here it is again. http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2010/05/20/live-view-of-bp-oil-leak/#addcomment
I think the best effort we could all make Right Now would be to contact Anderson Cooper at CNN. He has really started to ramp up covering the oil spill "clean up". We should all write on his blog and let him know about MOPN and the problems of getting attention from BP and US, state and local gov. Please, let's all contact him on mass right now at. http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2010/05/20/live-view-of-bp-oil-leak/#addcomment

Oil getting in the loop.
Look out Fla. Keys, Bahamas and south east coast of Fla.

Profits in Oil Spill Clean Up (BP, PG, ASH, EMN, NLC, CLH, NR, ARJ, MOPN)

Cleaning up messes has grown into a big business since the 1970s. There are a lot of small and medium-sized businesses that get involved in environmental remediation for everything from cleaning up EPA-designated Superfund sites to washing noxious weed seeds off fire trucks used to battle forest fires. The disaster that destroyed the Deepwater Horizon semi-submersible rig that was drilling a deepwater well for BP plc (NYSE:BP) has so far leaked more than 100,000 barrels of crude into the Gulf of Mexico and a number of companies that have seen their shares rise on the bet that they could see higher revenues and profits as a result.
The remediation players include large companies like Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG); medium-cap companies like Ashland Inc. (NYSE:ASH), Eastman Chemical Co. (NYSE:EMN), Nalco Holding Co. (NYSE:NLC), and Clean Harbors, Inc. (NYSE:CLH); and small-caps Newpark Resources, Inc. (NYSE:NR) and Arch Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:ARJ). There’s even a OTC stock, MOP Environmental (OTC:MOPN) that is likely to benefit from the clean-up.
Procter & Gamble makes Dawn dishwashing detergent, which is the cleaner of choice for wildlife covered with oil. The company has already delivered 2,000 bottles of the detergent to the Gulf coast, and more will likely be needed. The impact on P&G’s bottom line should only be minimal, but this will give the Dawn brand a nice boost and it would be unlike P&G to miss a chance like this to build its image.
Ashland, Eastman, Nalco, and Arch make specialty chemicals that are being used to disperse the oil slick formed by the leaking well. Nalco has already supplied more than 300,000 gallons of its dispersant to BP and the others are undoubtedly shipping the stuff as well. Ashland provides hazardous waste removal services as well as chemicals. Eastman and Arch make specialty chemicals and solvents that can be used to clean up oil slicks.
Clean Harbors offers ships and crews to the Gulf coast and has been contracted by government agencies to provide logistics and support services. The company today released an update to its expected revenues as a result of its work on the spill. Clean Harbors now forecasts an increase of second quarter revenues of 15%-20% above the First Call estimates of $352 million.
There are more than 650 vessels now in the Gulf to work on containing and cleaning up the oil. Over 1.25 million feet of containment boom is already in place (that’s more than 235 miles worth) and some 440,000 feet of absorbent boom has also been deployed. About 285,000 feet of containment boom and 900,000 feet of absorbent boom is still available for deployment. Almost double the amount of deployed containment boom is already on order from various suppliers, mostly small privately held companies along the Gulf coast.
One company that makes absorbent booms is MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. MOP booms can absorb the floating oil and the oil can then be extracted from the boom material. The boom itself is recyclable. The company announced in a press release that it has lowered the price on its boom in response to the Gulf spill.
While all these companies are likely to see a revenue boost as a result of their abilities to aid in the clean up of the Gulf, the longer term prospects might be even brighter. It’s almost certain that new federal regulations will be adopted not only to make deepwater drilling safer, but that companies involved in drilling will be required to be better prepared for an a spill. That requirement will provide an opportunity for these companies to do even more business both with the federal government and with the oil companies that will surely be picking up the tab.
With the exception of Clean Harbors, all these companies are trading nearly flat or down today, probably due to the news that BP is having some success with its efforts to contain the spill.

I am not here forever. Just as long as it takes.
The Blue Light Special on MOPN stock will be ending today. Don't miss to boat. Anyone who is not in better step aboard now.
You may have hit the nail on the head with that idea. Call these guys one by one and see if they can get the ball rolling for the out of work fishermen. I bet they will jump on it. Good post...

To Belle and Narv0,
Looks like Michelle Liu is the person to contact for MOPN products. She is out of the office now. I have to work tomorrow. Would someone please call her at 242-363-3000. Also you may want to call the Atlantis Marina 242-363-6068. They will do whatever they can to protect the property and have very deep pockets.
Underwater Curator Michelle Liu, director of water features at Atlantis in the Bahamas

(FORTUNE Magazine) – I had no idea what I could do with a degree in marine science, but I just knew that I loved the ocean. Now I'm responsible for all the water features at Atlantis. That includes the aquariums as well as the pools and the slides. I have people who run the day-to-day operations, so I don't get to do all the fun stuff that they do anymore.
Occasionally I go inside the exhibits and do a swim-through, or what we call a "wet walk-through," and look at everything. There are things you certainly could not see unless you get inside the exhibit itself.
Great idea. Let's all start making calls and sending email. CONTACT US

Hello Day Trdr Belle,
The state of Florida has a phone number that can be called for information on the oil spill. 888-337-3569. When called, one can ask the operator for a specific link to { Innovative Technology} to help Florida deal with the disaster. It looks like they are taking preparation for the possibility of oil making it's way to the Gulf Stream very seriously. The Keys and the very populated south east coast have a lot of high value property to protect. I am sending this to you personally because I have been impressed with your efforts to bring public and government attention to MOPN. Please run with this. I know you can get things done. Also, if you ever want to eat the best shrimp in the world, come visit me in SC.

FWC, NOAA To Increase Data Collection On Gulf Red Snapper To Address Oil Spill Impacts
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and NOAA Fisheries Service are keeping a close eye on the BP oil spill. So far the only impacts off Florida’s coast have been in the form of fishing closures well offshore in federal waters where oil has been spotted. Fishing continues to be open in the vast majority of Gulf of Mexico waters.
With the approach of the June 1 opening of red snapper season, the FWC and NOAA Fisheries Service are working closely together to allow as much fishing as possible while being prepared for the possibility of impacts. In fact, preparations are under way to collect and analyze information on the number of fish harvested by charter boats in the Gulf more frequently.

Governor Crist Announces U.S. Small Business Administration Approval of Disaster Loan Programs for Gulf Coast Businesses
Governor Charlie Crist today announced that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved disaster loan funds for businesses along Florida’s Gulf coast that have been impacted by the Deepwater Horizon incident.
“I am extremely pleased and appreciative that the Small Business Administration quickly approved our request for a disaster declaration to help the impacted businesses along Florida’s coastline,” said Governor Crist. “Though Florida has experienced no actual environmental impacts from the Deepwater Horizon incident, tourism-dependent businesses and other industries have suffered from this disaster. Now these businesses will have access to low-interest loan programs to begin the recovery process and assist them through this rough period.”

Volunteer Florida Encourages Floridians To Become Coast Watch Volunteers In Response To The Deepwater Horizon Incident
~Coast Watch volunteers will serve as on-the-ground observers, reporting oiled wildlife, vegetation, and shorelines to the appropriate authorities~
The Governor’s Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service (Volunteer Florida) is encouraging individuals who live along or are visiting coastal communities to watch for oiled wildlife, vegetation, and beaches by becoming a Coast Watch volunteer. Similar to the Crime Watch program, Coast Watch volunteers are community members who know the daily wildlife and plants that exist on their local beach. The “Coast Watchers” will assist BP, the state of Florida and partnering organizations in identifying beaches that need attention.
Coast Watchers will work within the coastal communities where they live or visit and commit to do the following:
Report injured or oiled animals to the Wildlife Distress Hotline: 1-866-557-1401
Report oiled shoreline to: 1-866-448-5816
Report a change in Air Quality to: http://www.epa.gov/bpspill/
Coast Watchers are not permitted to enter off-limit areas to obtain observations and must not make contact with oiled wildlife, vegetation, and beaches due the health concerns associated with contact.

What Is El Niño? Learn What It Means For Florida
El Niño is a global weather phenomenon that results from changes in the atmosphere and the tropical Pacific Ocean. During times of moderate to strong El Niño, higher water temperatures in the tropical Pacific region often produce a greater threat for severe weather, excessive rainfall and coastal storms in Florida during the fall, winter and spring months. The current El Niño pattern is predicted to peak during the winter months in 2009 -10. This increased severe weather threat highlights the importance of NOAA “All-Hazards” alert radios for families and businesses.

NOAA Weather Radio
NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office. NWR broadcasts official Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This is from an AP report today. This could be a massive problem for the FLA. Keys. We should contact the Mayor of the Conch Republic and get him in touch with Mopn now. What do you guys think?
"This can't be passed off as 'it's not going to be a problem,'" said William Hogarth, dean of the University of South Florida's College of Marine Science. "This is a very sensitive area. We are concerned with what happens in the Florida Keys."
Hogarth said a computer model shows oil has already entered the loop current, while a second shows the oil is 3 miles from it -- still dangerously close. The models are based on weather, ocean current and spill data from the U.S. Navy and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, among other sources.
Hogarth said it's still too early to know what specific amounts of oil will make it to Florida, or what damage it might do to the sensitive Keys or beaches on Florida's Atlantic coast. He said claims by BP that the oil would be less damaging to the Keys after traveling over hundreds of miles from the spill site were not mollifying.
I really like what I am seeing. Stong resistance at .135 to .14. Look for a stong close today. No need to sell. Some of the bigger player will want ot get in befor the next PR and many will pile on after that. Hold. Hold. Hold. Buy anything under .15 if you can. This will be a "long strange trip" but a great one. I am long for $1 and more.
This is a repost from yesterday. Has anyone followed up on it? Could be just the thing we need to get an order now.
I was just watching James Carvelle on CNN who is a hard core Louisianan. He was most worked up by the oil spill as you would imagine. I am not sure of the last name. But he said the person "that everybody better listen to down there is Bob Bee" or Bob Vee or something like that. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Let's try to figure out who this is and make some connections in regard to the latest PR. Maybe he can help kick some a** and expedite the Ultimate Offshore Oil Spill Contingency Plan! And all the rest.

(MOPN.PK) MOP Environmental Lowers Prices on Recyclable Oil Recovery Booms for Use in Gulf Oil Spill
(PublicWire.com Press Release) — MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. (MOPN.PK). In the wake of demand driven price hikes, MOP Environmental is setting a precedent by lowering prices on their Recyclable Oil Recovery Booms (MOP Booms) to assist in the Gulf Oil Spill Crisis. With the growing harm to the environment each day, MOP Environmental now offers their products below a fair price to protect the fragile environment threatened by the Gulf Oil Spill.
“MOP Booms use MOP Environmental’s Patented Green Sorbent MOP 201. MOP 201 is made completely from Recycled Materials and is immune to the market fluctuations and scarcities that are driving up costs and availability of booms currently being utilized in the Gulf. MOP Booms are four times more absorbent than their competitor’s booms and is fully Recyclable after oil recovery. MOP Booms are the Responsible Environmental Choice and the most Cost-Effective and Performance-Efficient Booms on the Market.” Stated Mr. Charles Diamond, MOP Environmental Solutions President & CEO.
THE ULTIMATE OFFSHORE OIL SPILL CONTINGENCY PLAN
Mr. Diamond continued by stating, “Booms are part of the solution. However, the fastest most effective way to clean up this spill and protect the fragile coastal ecosystems, is to blast the oil spill with our low cost, Environmentally Safe MOP “oil only” sorbent. Using our powerful MOP CANNONS. MOP can be deployed under and/or over oil spills on water, even in stormy weather. Once deployed it provides safety to aquatic life, birds, beaches, and ecosystems, completely neutralizing all the potential harmful effects of an oil spill and associated financial loss.”
Go ahead, do the math says Mr. Diamond, “One trailer load of our MOP Maximum Oil Pickup retailing at $32,000 can capture and recover up to 75,000 gallons of oil in just four hours. The oil can be retrieved for re-use at a corresponding value of about $115,000.” Just four MOP-CANNONS can stay well ahead of the oil spill of 5,000 barrels a day. MOP stops the harm, and can even change a loss into a PROFIT while safely protecting the environment. With MOP sorbent MOP-CANNONS and MOP-HARVESTOR on any offshore oil rig, you can quickly and easily neutralize an oil spill as fast as it happens… Quite simply, MOP offers the ULTIMATE OFFSHORE OIL SPILL CONTINGENCY PLAN!”

Yes I agree dannytwins. This will effect PBEC in a big way, down the road. Policy is going to swing green. Policy is changing green even in the clean up effort. MOPN is the green product that could save vast parts of the eco systme of the gulf states.
What is it going to take to get British Petroleum BP to Requests Field Tests for MOPN?
