That's an interesting article. But....do you know who Ivar Krueger was?
Here's some good information about diamond gemstones:

Why do you think Cmkx sponsored the Racing Team???
My guess: it's something Urbie's wanted to do all his life, but couldn't afford it till now.
After awhile both of these scenarios fizzled out. Many people realized what would happen and the old dividend and forward split scenarios didn't have as much pop as they once did.
CMKX seems to be trying a new strategy. I guess we can call it the "PR before the weekend" strategy. It seems to have worked twice to get people in such a frenzy that the stock would gap up on Monday.
I think the PR thing is a personal quirk of Urbie's. From the beginning with CMKI he's been issuing tons of 'em, most just fluff. To some extent it works by feeding the buying frenzy.
The real "new strategy" for penny stocks is in a way the logical extension of the forward split strategy. The latter could be done because the stocks that did it weren't dirt cheap: the splits in question took them from dollars to pennies. The strategy worked because many found them more "affordable" at a lower price. An illusion, of course, but there're folks out there who seem to like the feel of owning thousands or millions of shares rather than hundreds or thousands. This, however, isn't an option for most dicey microcaps these days, as they're already trading at pennies or lower.
So what's the latest? Dilute like crazy and blame it on "naked shorting". I think this one will run out of gas within the next six months or so. Be on the lookout for a new way to empty shareholders' pockets.
Yeah...just like yer MM codes...
there could also be all sorts of code between posters containing who-knows-what...best ditch it
He would? He obviously wasn't interested in going to Vietnam, was he?
A young Bush would fight this war bud.
WOW!! Urbie's really having a ball with your money, isn't he?
and found out we now also sponser a drag bike!!!
Sorry. That's ridiculous.
so as you continue to question cmkx and its purpose,
just remember, you're questioning america as well.
Of course, dear. Let's get together sometime...
Think about it...
As long as his core choices remain sound, let's just keep our fingers crossed that little embarrassments like this become less frequent.
These "little embarrassments" have come ever more frequently of late. There was that awful mess precipitated by the "diamondiferous" PR. You know the details. Then we have Uncle Melvie's looney contributions to IBC Radio. Then the outta control "official" company message board. And now this nutty PR.
You really think it's getting better?
Not really.
One things for certain, Urban is firmly behind Melvin. That's good, right? right?
My bad. I was thinking of the earlier PIPE financing.
Feb 19 2004 is not long ago
I think you're right about that....
I'd love to say that this was Roger's doing to get this message board shut down but I suspect Roger had nothing to do with this whatsoever.
How about the link to Urban's raising the authorized to 500 billion?
That's really all I need to know.
show us a link where UC is selling shares....
That was quite awhile ago.
3 mil dollar Financing cmkx did = 30 billions shares
And even so it wasn't my point. Companies sell stock to get money. In return, shareholders own a part of the company.
Here's another map. Is 1481 part of the 1485 complex?

Here's Galleria...

The company's money IS your money. Why d'you think they sell stock? They have no other source of revenues. So whatever's spent is indeed the shareholders' money.
Why? It's explained ON the site.
With an average of 200K plus hits every trading day, I think it was wise to explain why the site was down.
They only shut down the message boards and removed that outrageous ad. The site is still there.
Makes sense.
It should be. After all, it's YOUR money.
maybe money is a non-issue at this point.
Joel is Urbie's "buddy"? Geez...
Geez. They spent a thousand bucks on THAT?
This one's a real trip...

Did someone say "Henderson"?
The property highlighted is 1441. The one to the left is 1485. Doesn't seem to be any 1481, unless someone's renting out mailboxes, if that's possible.

To some extent it exists: the ECNs only match orders.
I would favor something like that; it would be an objective system that wouldn't lend itself to manipulation.
Try the Arizona Stock Exchange.
Why not an Electronic Market place (run by the SEC - not that I like them) where investor buy and sell orders are matched on a first in first out basis?
Their website used to be www.azx.com, but that doesn't work anymore. Maybe they've gone outta business, but they do have a holidays calendar:

Anyone know how Joel discovered CMKX? Or did someone "discover" him?
I don't know who Joel is but he says he used to work in NY cutting diamonds, etc. and in the diamond industry. If you have a chance listen to it !
I did see it. It was a mess.
You should have seen our company board before they shut it down, it was horrible.
I also noticed that they've taken that outrageous ad for their stock off the home page. Good.
They never believe it anyway. These people NEED the "paid basher" myth to sustain pretty much their entire belief structure.
It might be worth pointing out that because of the nature of their job, MMs always have to go AGAINST market sentiment.
That's exactly right. MMs (and specialists on physical exchanges) are charged with keeping an "orderly" market.
The way they do this is to take the OTHER SIDE of transactions when no one else will.
Did you ever call the Alabama State Securities Division?
Of course. "F" agencies for "F"ake prs.
The company should be reporting this stuff to the FTC, FCC, and the FBI. There's been way too much of it in the last few days.
Fake PR from RB floating around dated 7:00am this morning touting merger news. Flasshed all over the boards ewhile I-hub was down.
This is both hilarious and unbelievable. The CMKX promotion knows NO bounds...
http://www.indexsignal.com/vb/showthread.php?t=15130&page=1
Nope.
A lot of reading. Lots of SEC filings, lots of books and articles by reputable authors. Not from schlock promotional sites about "naked shorting".
How did he come by this "great understanding"? Is he a market professional?
This is someone that has a great understanding of how the mm's run the game.
I'm sure that's part of it. But it'll require time and money.
I thought his job was to get them of the pink sheet?
