LOL!! Good observation, Derf!
He shouldn't have gagged the TA in the first place. Yes, a stock audit, if made public, will be an "official" statement, and that's good.
But I find it puzzling indeed that many here seem not to understand that the ONLY person who can issue stock is Urbie. Therefore, he MUST know how much he issued.
It traded today. Not very much, lol, but it did trade.
I don't follow IBD regularly, but I don't think they normally just reprint articles from other sources; they write their own stories. They're extremely successful, and certainly have the means to do so.
Hey, I was in IBD once. Front page story, too.
As for Schwab, I think what they're saying is that until recently nobody bothered to make affirmative determination because they just didn't think it was necessary. As a result, there may have been some abuses, but the SEC's 4% figure doesn't suggest that they were widespread.
There is NO way Urbie doesn't know how much stock he issued.
...Urban likely knew the approximate share count yes...
What nonsense.
The shorts expected Urbie to behave just the same as every CEO that tries to fight the short attack -- hire a promotional firm to try to fight this. THAT is a losing battle. Somewhere along the line (and I'm not sure HOW this happened) Urban was enlightened. And instead of choosing the traditional defense methods employed by every other otc/pink stock, he went to a top law firm and suddenly we are hearing NOTHING.
Many OTCBB and Pink issues have sought legal remedies for what they claim is there "problem". They just haven't been having much luck in court.
Zen?? Where in either of these silly press releases does it state that the company is "under short attack"?
They'd better be careful, though: the SEC has suspended stocks for less egregious touting.
Look at this press release today AGAIN by a company under short attack. This is by far and away one of the most pathetic efforts to prop a stock price up I have EVER seen:
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040624/phth015_1.html
And it comes on the heels of a press release earlier this week by them that is 99% as pathetic:
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040614/phm018_1.html
At last! He Gets It!
It's still trading as TLXX. When was all this supposed to happen?
Translation: FinancialWire, which is funded by Investrend, doesn't accept money from the companies it touts. That's not to say that Investrend doesn't.
LOL!!
Oh dear. Maybe the whales ate Willy.
Shocking. Unless Investrend paid for the space.
Not much. lol, bin Laden probably ISN'T living in a townhouse in Georgetown.
I don't know that bin Laden isn't living in a fancy rental in Georgetown. Would it be a Good Thing if I went around telling people that he was?
lol, yes. He's married now. I hadn't followed him over the years; I find him quite engaging.
Anyone who's as ill-disposed toward the Religious Right as he is has gotta be okay.
No he didn't "do good". He made up a story so that he could appear more important to readers here.
And that's the very opposite of "good". He flatly stated that Urbie was at the "new site". He was in fact just making that up.
Nonetheless, I'm quite sure this "news" will be all over every CMKX board in the world tomorrow.
Oh. So you actually have NO information that Urbie's actually there, right?
So stop making things up.
I take it you meant "primo".
Of course. That was my point. Read the post I was responding to.
Hello? What's the source for your "information" that Urbie's at the new drilling site?
Or are you just starting rumors?
New Drill Location
And why is UC there.....my thoughts.
And I've been meaning to ask you this for days: what is "PREMO"?
Just saw something remarkable. I was watching Young Ron Reagan on Larry King. He said pointblank that the war was a "terrible mistake", and that "the American public was lied to". When asked who he'd vote for in November, he replied: "Anyone who can defeat George Bush".
That should have interesting repercussions.
Of course he does. Why d'you think took CMKX public? Listen closely: he did that to SELL STOCK in order to RAISE MONEY.
Got it?
And maybe more money was supplied to Urban for the lawyer's retainer. But between the funny cars, the lawyer and the drilling, Urban has some financing.
Time for your meds, now, Gumpy. Urbie's been pitching this piggy (and issuing tons of stock) since long before Investrend dreamt up the GetShorty campaign.
I'm in this deal because I think it has been set up as a HUGE sting to nail the criminal short sellers.
Pinks too. When you ge to the Daily List page, look down at the bottom right for "Other OTC" and click on that.
You poor devil. My heart goes out to you.
The problem with flipping stocks like a pink , first I cant use my esignal Advanced Get system...
It certainly means they weren't covering a short position they'd created.
If so, doesn't that also mean they were NOT covering a short ?
My guess is that it's really very simple: they had an order from a client to buy the stock in question. That's all.
Good.
I HAVE NOT SOLD ONE SINGLE SHARE OF CMKX!
What's "true" is that MM Salomon Smith Barney bought 500 million shares of CMKX.
There IS no link to "prove" that the shares were bought by Citibank. Citibank owns Salomon Smith Barney. End of story.
Shows me they had an order to fill. Nothing more.
Citigroup bought 500,000,000 shares of CMKX today at .0006 for $300,000.00. SBSH "Saloman Smith Barney" has never been a MM on CMKX ever before until today at 8:54am the trade went off at 9:31am to me that shows they believe news is coming soon...
I will say for the record that I am VERY disappointed that Melvin appeared on IBC Radio today.
May God strike him dead!
Damn, you're funny, Zen.
What??
when I spoke with Mataras, he stated that no one could give him any verifiable information as to the actual figure in the O/S or just how many stockholders actually still owned company shares.
Didn't they keep any books? That's, um, required. What about the TA? He should have the numbers.
You can get the Daily List for OTCBB and Pinks at otcbb.com.
Okay, no problem.
My guess is that it's between 300 and 400 billion. Could be higher.
What? My answer had direct relevance to your question. And if you think it's "unlikely" that a company with this much stock outstanding might do a reverse split, then you're living in LaLaLand.
I'm sorry he won't be writing any more. He was good.
If CMKX relists on the OTCBB there wouldn't be any reason to change the ticker. That would only be necessary were they to do a reverse split.
If they make the change, you shouldn't notice anything odd happening in your account.
If CMKX goes to otc or any exchange what happens to our shares, and does the ticker symbol change.
You're entitled to your opinion. But perhaps you should note that Brent Mudry, who wrote most of their best scambuster articles, now works for an official Canadian regulatory agency.
For the uninitiated, I have always considered Stockwatch the financial equivalent of the National Enquirer. Read it for yourself for awhile and see what you think. I have found their articles almost 100% one-sided and, more often than not, crossing every ethics line known in journalism.
Sheesh. Does this guy assume that investors in ANY company never have doubts or questions? Is he suggesting that these doubts and questions shouldn't ever be expressed or asked?
How old is he?
I began reading the highlighted "latest posts" which are featued down
the center of the home page, only to find that they were all
basically bashers using the style of "I love this company, but
doesn't X, Y, or Z make you concerned?".
You need to learn that on this board people are required to back up statements of fact with some kind of evidence.
As a matter of fact, I'm aware that Sterling has made this claim, which appears to me to be utter nonsense.
