So the;
"we anticipate that revenue levels of $12-15 million"
is NOT tied to;
"We do not expect to reach breakeven, on a non-gap or profoma basis in 2015."
I'd say thats a good thing not adding the "anticipated revenue" :)
What does GM have to do with this other than to spread FUD ?
Nice, i guess its all about those Crucible patents that Apple has been financing.
$12-15 million revenue 2015, wow.
I don't think such a claim was ever made before.
$30 million equity line of credit, what does lqmt need access to that money for?
This might refer to liquidmetal ;

But mostly its Apple that has patents lodged for strengthening glass ;

and is that what the S6 aluminum is 50% stronger than ... military grade aluminum?
how about airplane aluminum or maybe space aluminum ?
what is it 50% stronger than?
Apple confirms its 'company activities' include vehicles.
http://9to5mac.com/2015/03/02/apple-car-2/
So the Samsung S6 aluminum is 50% stronger and the Apple Watch aluminum is 60% stronger,
maybe coincidence that both companies found a stronger aluminum alloy or maybe they both found a better manufacturing process that makes aluminum stronger.
Heres hoping a leaked photo comes out showing the four aluminum pieces that make the metal band on the S6 being inject moulded on an Engel machine.
Edit: Maybe Apple didn't use the stronger aluminum in the iPhone 6 because it couldn't mold the shape, but the S6 has no metal back so its easier to mold 4 seperate metal pieces.
Anyone know if LQMT is involved with this research or even if ex-employees of lqmt now working at NASA?
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/station/research/news/declic/#.VPH99lPF-xz
Highlighting it shows that Apple is constantly doing R&D on melting molding recycling all types of metals.
Apple will use low melt point metal to reinforce its ‘thin walled devices’ so they can cnc or water jet them or whatever without damaging them. but Apple can't use this on existing crystalline aluminium, because if they could have made the relatively softer non-amorphous aluminum thinner they would have already done so, the most likely candidate for the new “thin walled devices” patent is one made out of bmg metals.
i just highlighted that to emphasis the point that it is most likely for bmg alloys.
maybe used to reinforce the AppleWatch while the back is cut out for the sapphire/zirconia back... possible :)
Yes it not about bmg, its about using low melt point metals for "manufacturing method for thin walled enclosures” as stated in the patent application.
I wonder what new 'thin walled enclosures' this patent is for, what would these low melt point metals reinforce?
You have to search the smoke to find the fire ;)
According to Samsung site, Metal Flow could be a design term or/and a new stronger metal alloy.
http://www.samsung.com/in/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/plasma-tv/PS64F8500ARLXL
I fell of my chair when i read that part, lots of smoke around, i can't wait for the fire to start.
Next they will pump Bolton Metal lolz
Lqmt may or may not be in the Samsung S6, won't matter either way, Apple is continually developing lqmt for many applications.
http://www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2015/02/apple-reveals-the-technology-behind-the-apple-watchs-digital-crown.html
I have noticed that you just post links then make unsubstantiated claims.
Where in the article does Tim Cook say that there is NO lqmt in the Watch?
Just WOW
http://www.appliedmedical.com/Careers/Position.aspx?Title=Mold%20Maker&ID=4302
thanks for the bone;)
It depends if an AppleWatch can be bought and tested by the tech media,
otherwise its another wait until April.
With the first right of refusal agreement lqmt MUST report to Apple any buyout offers and then Apple has the right to offer a higher bid, basically it will stop any surprise buyout of lqmt.
Anyone buying more than 10% must report it to the SEC, again giving Apple notice of a potential takeover of lqmt.
Then its all about market forces, who will pay more to buy lqmt.
Every 2 weeks i hope for 0.05, but never happens and i have to pay what the market dictates.
Hope they can get an AppleWatch into the hands of iFixit.
Imagine the possibilities :)
$50 million penalty for leaking Apple products.
http://appleinsider.com/articles/14/10/13/apples-supplier-contracts-include-50m-penalty-for-leaking-future-product-info
But you know we will just come back here to 'debate' the worth of another OTC stock :)
Crucible IP is 100% owned by Liquidmetal Technology.
More galaxy leaks,
http://www.engadget.com/2015/02/25/samsung-galaxy-s6-photo-leak/
http://qbking77.com/news/the-galaxy-s6-could-have-been-leaked-with-these-pictures/
ah yes true i was fixated on the price they can sell and overlooked the time frame, which has already expired.
so vpc could have already dumped all their lqmt shares if they wanted too, maybe vpc is long on lqmt :)
Great information, thanks,
It gives confidence in the board knowing that lqmt management put in safeguards to stop vpc from 'dumping' lqmt stock, also great to see that vpc can only sell when lqmt is above 0.30 and again when above 0.40, vpc would not agree to that unless they thought lqmt can go above 0.40.
Samsung to buy Magna Steyr, hopefully Apple already poached the best talent.
Who will they buy next to stay relevant ;)
http://www.engadget.com/2015/02/23/samsung-makes-a-big-play-for-electric-cars-by-nabbing-a-battery/
"Samsung wants to ensure it's as integral to the electric car world as it is to the mobile arena. The Korean electronics giant is acquiring Magna International's battery pack arm, Magna Steyr, which will fit nicely inside of Samsung SDI, its component division. SDI has already scored a major deal with BMW providing batteries for its new i3 electric car and i8 hybrid, and it will make up eight percent of Tesla's battery supply this year..."
Oculus Rift, a 1 man and 1 patent company, $2 billion.
Good point about 5 years, it has potential and was worth the price to one company,
same point with lqmt.
The Whatsapp example has everything to do with Apple, it showed that FaceBook overpaid to secure 'the next potential FaceBook'
The same can happen with Apple if it wants to stop Crucible IP going to a competitor, even if Apple does not pay to use lqmt it might want to stop it from potentially going to another company.
the app is free now, and not all 500 million paid for it to start with.
and how would that justify the 20 billion sale price.
How much income has Whatsapp generated?
FB paid $20 billion for an app that makes no money
Apple paid 3 billion for Beats.
Apple has the right to use lqmt in consumer electronics.
Nobody knows how exclusive these rights are, for example if an OEM like Samsung buys lqmt, then what stops them from using lqmt? Crucible IP is 100% owned by lqmt.
